The company has garnered a mixed reputation among customers, with notable strengths in its engaging auction format and a diverse range of products that some users find enjoyable and affordable. Many appreciate the responsive customer service, which has been effective in addressing issues and facilitating refunds. However, significant concerns persist regarding product quality, with numerous complaints about receiving damaged or inferior items. Additionally, customers have reported frustrations with order cancellations and difficulties in the returns process. Overall, while the platform offers a fun shopping experience, it must improve product reliability and support to enhance customer satisfaction.

I love bidding on items a lot wasn't to my expectations as well as taking to long to receive, but I will give top hatter a 5 becuz they have no problem refunding u ASAP if there's an issue and I'm grateful to them for that, thank u top hatter.
Sometimes the pictures that are posted are deceiving. You think you are getting something bigger and it's a lot smaller. Overall it is a fun way to save money and shop. Their jewelry so far has been real. I love their antique coins. I have a lot of Christmas gifts already from this app.
I have received items that were not sterling silver when you said they were. Items that were broken and waiting a long time for my items. It is frusrating when you wait a long time for a item and its damaged. Not only have you waited a long time its damaged on top of that.
I bought a person size skeleton and the package of 2 extra ones and I recieved 1 12 inches from dollar tree. I tried everything possible but I didn't recieved the returning label on time so I had to stay with $1: skeleton for the amount that i paid of $22. I have a printer but it was not useful because they reject the return because a week had gone by. For the rest of it, even the products that I received and were not what I expected and wanted to return but then I didn't decided to give it to others. Thanks tophatter I really appreciate you and your customer service.
Able to get most refunds back when not satisfied with the products except for some circumstance one have to mail back the product that could cost you a fortune because most of the products are from china
Most items are quality, but when the item is NOT--it is terrible. I have ordered one thing and gotten another twice; also, some descriptions are misleading (not Tophatter's fault) and the clothing runs very small. The bright light is that Tophatter has really good customer service and will listen if you have had a problem. Just be aware that many of the items come from China and are sized for smaller bodies. Also, sometimes, you order one thing and something else comes.
I have been satisfied with most items I have received, but I must say it is fun to bid and I always enjoy looking at the deals and bidding.
I love this website, I love it that I don't have to buy bids, sometimes I do wish I would receive my things faster but it works the way things come. Please enjoy bidding everyone it's a great site.
Customer service response quick but the item takes a long time to arrive.
I get disappointed with the wrong sizes and quality of the item but not all of them.
I have been a member for years and in the beginning it was fine but now it's getting worse every day. I'm supposed to be a VIP, what does that even mean? What are these badges for nobody knows. I've been asking where do you put promotional codes nobody answers. I bought some lights the end of September and they're still preparing them to ship as of October 20th and I have written to you three times about it with no response. I read all the reviews and you're getting worse and worse I don't know what's going on with your company. Sure you have enough people and I'm sure you're making tons of money but there's nothing fair about this company anymore.
Just some things is not worth the money you pay for it i was shocked with some things i got and was thinking it would help me with christmas somethings i am still waiting on but the things were so small even the clothes you better order larger if you want them to fit
I have enjoyed bidding on the site to see if I can get it at a good price. I have received many items and is very pleased with them. I just make sure I read the information before making that bid. Wow I love those NFL items they have and no one else have them!
Answer: There is also the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION that can help with these types of problems
Answer: You have to read the descriptions. It will tell you if it's real or plated.
Answer: Do not deal with this company,,, all jewelery is crap n cheap
Answer: Tophatter will screw you over. Shop Amazon or overstock.
Answer: Good luck! Tophatter rippes off the sellers so they are not going to be very likely to return your money.
Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.
Answer: You will notice the same names no matter the day, time etc. Bidding against you very often. Is it a coincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.
Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
Answer: Yes! Sale of counterfeit items is prohibited. If you are concerned about the authenticity of an item purchased on the platform, you may return it for up to 30 days from delivery. See full details on our return policy here: http://tinyurl.com/h7xokwj.
