Cable: on demand MENUE rarely works, ppv movies that are at redbox for 1.50 are 6$, cant fast forward or rewind on demand tv shows and the commercials are EXTREMELY repetitive
Internet: goes down all the time
Customer service: reps are slow AF

Sad but true. Spectrum is a MULTI-BILLION dollars company and it seems that they can't stop themselves to add more customers in one way or another.
I made the mistake to change cell provider since I was offered the so-call SPECIAL NEW CUSTOMER BUNDLE DEAL. I needed Wi-Fi at my new address and it was a fiasco to get it done and once I agreed to terms, the BUNDLE came to life. Now I am stuck with 50% upcharge per month. I felt for the lies and the way it was explained to me that the phone was included. I trusted the operator and now I am hooked!.
I am trying to change to other providers and dump Spectrum.

BUYER BEWARE!

Spectrum Sucks

They flat out suck and raise, raise, and raise your bill. I have no DVR no internet only a home land line with them, no premium channels and my bill just went up again it is now 150.68

My internet and phone service went down Sunday, July 15,2018, and I called Spectrum and was told that a repair tech would come out on Monday, July 16; they never showed up. I called and another appointment was scheduled for Tuesday, July 17 and again the repair tech was a no-show. Well, the same thing happened on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the repair tech did not show. I guess I will have to wait to see if the tech repair comes on Saturday, July 21,2018 and Sunday, July 22,2018.

Even worst, the repair techs closed the tickets from Monday through Friday, and said they did the job. I could not believe how dishonest these people are.

I called customer service to find out what happened and the only information from Customer Service is "We can escalate" the ticket to dispatch and someone should call me back. Again, they lied! No one ever showed and dispatch never contacted me. Looking back I feel bad that I complained about Time Warner Cable. They were absolutely *******xs better than Spectrum.

Please AVOID this company if possible. I'm going to wait for the tech to show and have everything fixed and than I'm cutting the service off. I have already filed an FCC Claim on them because they still billing me, and plus they have a certain time frame to repair services.

Horrible

Rates are insidious. Initally, not a bad plan, then raised about 30%. THEN movie channels no longer part of gold package which raised same plan more. Thinking of switching to competition.

I have issues virtually weekly. If I could give negative stars, I would. I have customer "service" on speed dial. I regret ever doing business with this poorly run business.

I have cable, internet and home phone with Spectrum. I couldn't be unhappier with them. I am losing services every other day. Their equipment is outdated. I don't recommend at all

THE WORST!
February 6, 2023

Being a Spectrum customer is like being in the Twilight Zone. Bill has gone up to $200 per month for BASIC cable/internet and cell phone service is horrible! Spectrum says they don't have any lower priced cable/internet packages ($200 is the bottom of the barrel apparently!) When I called Spectrum Mobile about my terrible cell service, their computer bot said they could only help me if I hung up my cell phone and found another phone to call them back on! WTF? I don't have a landline or other phone! Am I supposed to go to a neighbors and ask to borrow their cell phone while I attempt to fix my phone with Spectrum?!?! Finally, I went online and found their Live Chat and was told the wait would be over an hour. Ok, fine I'll wait. I waited for 55 minutes. "Live Chat" (aka a Computer Bot) asked "what is your question"? When I answered, I received this message..."Oops! It seems like we're having difficulty processing that. Please try again later". Well I'm having difficulty trying to process why in the world I'm still with Spectrum! SO FRUSTRATING!

IF I CAN GIVE NO STARS THAT WOULD BE TOO MANY. THEY FORCED ME TO GIVE A RATING AND A 1 STAR SEEMS TOO GENEROUS.
HOW CAN SPECTRUM DARE TO OFFER "SPECIALS" TO NEW CUSTOMERS AND SAY THAT THEY ARE BETTER THAN FIOS AND OTHER PROVIDERS, WHEN THEY RAPE THEIR LONG TIME CUSTOMERS AND NICKEL AND DIME THEM TO DEATH! I'VE BEEN WITH BRIGHTHOUSE/SPECTRUM FOR 15 YEARS. I AM PAYING $200 / MONTH FOR LOUSY SERVICE, LOUSY CHANNELS, CABLE TV THAT HAS THE SOUND GO IN AN OUT EVERY FEW MINUTES AND 2 TECHS WHO CAME TO MY HOME TO SAY THAT IT'S FIXED, INTERNET AND PHONE THAT GO OUT AT LEAST A FEW TIMES A MONTH AND THEY TELL ME NOTHING'S WRONG! NOW THEY TELL ME THAT EVERY TV IN THE HOUSE MUST HAVE A BOX AS OF 9/5/18 OR THEY WON'T WORK. OF COURSE, IT WILL COST ME AN EXTRA $5.95 A MONTH PER BOX TO GET THEM. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! ON HOLD FROM 30 TO 45 MINUTES MINIMUM! SHAME ON SPECTRUM!

My cable/internet bill went from $53.45 to $79.87. I did not change or add anything, it just went up because the promotion ended. Naturally I called and they said that there was nothing that they could do. They did tell me that I could increase my internet speed and get the cable box (that would get me a bunch of new channels). The price was $97 per month. I agreed to this (what choice did I have, they are the only provider in town). I plugged the box in and had to call to set it up. It took almost 2 hours before I had a picture. Anxiously tuned to ESPN, since I never had it thinking it would be one of the new channels... nothing, I tried TNT... nothing. I tried FX ( a station that I had on in the other room, without a cable box)... nothing. I called and they said that I was only going to get local channel... FOR $97 per month. My bill was going to go from $53.45 to $97 for less stations than I got last month. It gets better, I took the box back the next day and the woman said that I was being charged $19 for use of the back for less than 24 hours. She would not let me return the box until I paid the $19.

Is this company for real. I canceled the cable. I will put an antenna on the house for the local stations and stream everything else. This is by far the worst company that I have ever dealt with.

Waste of money and time.

Spectrum cable sucks. Reruns everyday. Never comes in. Same movies everyday. You pay for the same movies everyday. Overpriced. Just watch the wall, it's better entertainment.

For a year and a half, I have had Spectrum cable and every time I called in, they tell me they know there is a problem with the apple cable service it is in the programing so today I was recording the NASCAR race and in the middle of it I had to leave when i got home the recording was gone. I thought I was one of a few people having trouble then I got on here and WOW what a problem they have please people save your money and find a different cable company. I think we need to all get together and ask for our money back, this is nothing but a rip off and they just keep raising the rate! That is why I give them a ZERO for a rating, but they make you give them at least a one.

Great customer service

I recently had to put my cell phone to rest so I went to Spectrum in Onalaska Wi to get a new phone. I have had Spectrum cell service, cable & internet for a long time. Thomas at Spectrum was AWESOME. Sold me a new phone which I TOTALLY LOVE and was so nice to work with. Being in my mid 60's I don't get a lot of new tech but Thomas did all the work transferring everything over into my new phone & explained so much to me that I would have not known. I am so glad that I had this very smart young man to make this transition so easy. Believe me I could tell you horror stories of past cell phone exchanges. THANK YOU THOMAS

I threatened to cancel and they gave me a lower price. Turns an out they never documented or gave me that lower price. I called and argued and they said they don't have no lower price documented.I contacted Better Business Bureau and right away Spectrum contacted me and adjusted my bill by $20 but took away Showtime and HBO. They even said the price was going to be lower than the $20 someone else had quoted.I called them back and nobody answered. Left Messages daily for a week and nobody got back to me. I called corporate and some supervisor was going to help me. I explained everything to this person and she said she couldn't do anything about. She would put those services back that were dropped but I would be charged. They had never said they were going to drop the service in order to lower the price. They are play games with customers and lying. Sounds like they are training customer service to lie so customers will give up fighting with them. I am so disappointed and discussed With Spectrum as they are playing games all the time. I will keep leaving negative feedback for all the lies and promises they have made.

STAY AWAY FROM SPECTRUM
September 24, 2020

I HATE SPECTRUM. I have been with Spectrum for only two months and have had problems after problems. First, the technician messed up the wiring. I had to pay my electrician to come rerun my hardwire. Spectrum had to send another technician to fix the problem. Secondly, Spectrum's WiFi box had a power surge and EVERYTHING that was connected directly to the WiFi box died (the tv modem, my TV, my computer, my Arlo security, and my ADT system). They denied the claim and said that it wasn't their equipment. The only common factor related to the items was that they were connected to the Spectrum's WiFi box. I have been out of almost $1,000 since I switched. If you are considering this company, stay with your current provider. If AT&T offers to buy me out of my current contract, I would switch back in the drop of a dime.

Welcome to Spectrum, King of the Bait and Switch. When I went into the store to change my service, the counter rep "offered" me free service for a trial period. When that trial period expired, my bill magically went up (without notice). So, I called Spectrum in December to have the service removed, and they told me my account would be credited for the amount I was charged due to the change in service. Today, I got my bill and the charge still is on there. When I called Spectrum today, they told me they never give such credits, the credit was not in my file, and the Customer Service representative LIED to me back in December! So, they are going to overcharge me, reprimand the poor Customer Service representative who told me she gave me the credit, and offer me their apologies. This is a bunch of bull. And the worst thing is they have a monopoly, so if I actually want to watch television, I am stuck with this crappy company. If I could rate them a 0 Star, I would but the website would not let me.

3 months in and I HAVE my Spectrum service! They keep tacking on HBO and such channels and just putting it on my bill. I guess they think most people do "Auto-pay" so they won't notice? I asked to block these channels from being added and they said any person on any device can add services and that's how it stays. You can't block that on the account. All I can do is go on every single tv tablet phone computer etc and block it individually. Yeah, because that's realistic?!? Every device on the internet can access the tv shows. Oh, and they can't tell what device added the charges so you don't even know who to have a talk with or if they're even IS someone adding things. They also looked about the included channels when we signed up. One channel, FREE SPEECH TV (FSTV), isn't even offered by their company on any rate plan. Neither is LINK. They offer NOTHING thought provoking, just kind numbing garbage. Their on demand selection is a joke. I seriously find myself watching shows on FREE apps like Pluto, Tubi, Peacock, etc because they have better selection! And Lifetime network? They want another $30 a month to watch that one channel, even though they said it was included when I signed up. Oh, and the EBB $50 benefit? 3 months and I'm still not getting the discount I've been approved for since before I switched. Are they getting the money and not passing it down to customers or what? Idk but I'm so close to cancelling service. Calling them again now so we'll see...
