Really unreliable internet with no redundancy anywhere in their systems. Just looked at their company financials-not stable. Waaaayy too much debt. Big dive in the last couple of years.

Read you bill information!

On our first bill we were charged for a tablet that we never received, we called and told them to take it off of the bill months ago, and now we are seeing months later that it's still on there, they are saying that it was delivered and are trying to make us file a police report for something we never received. I picked our tower and modem up in store. It's a bogus way to get us to pay these little fees! Read what you are paying for!

Spectrum salespeople do not represent actual services delivered. They will tell you anything to make a sale, but you are left with contacting customer service, only to find that what you thought you were getting is not what you receive. Programming for TV and voice options are not clearly represented by store representatives, channel line-ups are different, caller ID was stated as not being available to di. Splay yet it was.

Object to losing ESPN
September 2, 2023

I cannot believe that fort. Few dollars you sacrificing all espn/sec sports viewers. I am glad that when I move this fall, I will dump Spectrum cable. If other apps can keep espn, you could have too! Terrible mistake Charter!

I only have them because i am in an area that comcast doesn't service. Going from cast to chatter is like a slap in the face. Every spectrum/ charter commercial talks about fast internet when that could not be further from the truth! The internet is slow and that's when it wants to work! Our bill has doubled in the past years and the service just keeps getting worse

I used their internet for a # of years but recently switched due to a 46% price increase and the overall inflationary environment and needing to reduce costs within our household. While the cancellation process was time consuming and overall frustrating because they kept trying to take rates back down, I finally got through to them that I was cancelling. I cancelled my internet service and returned the equipment to UPS on 4/10/2023. My final bill on 4/1/2023 was for service from 4/1 - 4/30. However, it was not mentioned to me when I cancelled that I would still be paying for the entire month even though I only utilized their service for 1/3 of the month. Just an overall horrible business practice to bill someone for a service they do not have.

Horrible

Bill goes up every year. Spent 3 weeks in row with there customer service, who doesn't know what the hell they're doing. Bill still isn't correct. Was told credit was applied. Instead services were canceled without my permission. Than after hr and 45 minutes on phone to get services turned back on. Credit was removed from Bill. Horrible, horrible service

Terrible service. I'm using cellular typing this as charter WiFi isnt working. Always seems to stop working at night, especially on Sunday. Bring on Fios! And jail to the cocksuckers who thought that ripping us off was ok

I have had both with charter 4 like 7 years and I moved and set my move up with charter and they turned my service off early and I had a 90$ Remaining they didn't put it on my bill they transferred nor did they call me they turned the 90 into collections wtf who would do that over 90$ charter did

Horrible company to work for, highly political and biased.
Worked out of Beloit WI, transferred to Duluth MN. Even worse there in Duluth as management and coworkers were just as bad, if not worse.
Getting a higher wage in Beloit and transferring to Duluth, everyone wanted to know my wage.
The "so called personnel girl" got canned for disclosing my salary to everyone else in the crew. Everyone got a raise thanks to my transfer. Everyone whom works for charter or what its called now (spectrum) is infantile or a child. Stay away from this place unless you are truly despotic.
James Banta and Gary Cockswell are two to stay away from for sure. Do not go near this company if you can.
Find another company to apply too and do not consider this one unless you are in dire straits.
If you liked high school and playing games, "not work", this is your future. Enjoy!

When i moved i had charter transfer my service. Well they did not transfer the service,what they did was start a whole new account and what that did was overlap the statement from one house to the new house by ten days. When i asked for a refund of those ten days i was told that i am not entitled to a refund because i canceled my internet service. I told the lady it was transferred not canceled and she told me a transfer is the same as a cancel. So i reported it to the Attorney general and received a refund after the Attorney Generals office looked into it
What i didn't realize was the increased my internet service by $5.00, so i am leaving charter and going to Tmobile

Terrible company to work with customer service is non existent. I would never recommend or use Charter. Every time I asked a question it was oh we can't do that. Escalating bills.

Customer service at the local office is dreadful. Was so frustrated I went home and called their 800 number. I would give that a three rating... tried unsuccessfully to upgrade my service twice but did resolve my issue. Just pathetic.

Not customer oriented at all. They are constantly thinking up ways to make you spend more money for the same or less service. Not a good company to deal with either in person, over the phone or via email. Very frustrating. Still have not been able to get to their TV lineup that lists the channel numbers as well as the channel name along with the times of programs.

The customer service is by far the worst I've seen since the buyout! Wait time on the phone is 35-50 minutes every time I call to fix there crappy equipment! Also, when you finally get a call back they will transfer you around until you get get lucky if you do! Sometimes I just hang up and call back another day instead of letting them play games and waste my time!

Another thing Trump just announced the FCC is going to help fund internet service well where is our credits or are Spectrum's people just double dipping...
If your not moving get another provider use sling, hulu roku sticks, amazon fire sticks whatever you need or maybe we should all go back to a digital antenna...

Horrible... I had much pixeling lines, bought new tv's and surger protectors and phones and turns out it was their bad cables once fixed all works fine now they are raising their rates, someone should file a class action suit against TW spectrum and charter... wait till you get your letter frrom Sam Araji VP of billing from Charter the month before they raise your rate and bump it up from the 29.99 bundle to? I went from $141 per month with 11 mos of rotten service, when their cables lines were replaced I have had 1 month of good service now they raised me or they call it a bump up from your promotional price to $179/mo... CUSTOMERS BEWARE YOU ARE NOT GETTING A PROMOTIONAL PRICE AND THEY WILL RAISED IT AND THEY WILL NOT RETAIN YOU IF YOU WANT TO LEAVE...
THEY WILL MAKE YOU GET RID OF EQUIPMENT BEFORE LOWERING YOUR PRICE... THEY ARE SO CROOKED... STAY AWAY...

Pros and Cons

Pros: Extended service to me by extending a line to my house in a rural area without charging me extra. Repairs/maintenance were also very cordial. I don't remember the service ever cutting out.

Cons: I am unsure if they made me pay my bill twice for the same month. I had my bill date edited with an overdue balance with the promise that I could pay it back any time. The next day they hired a third-party company to threaten me with cutting off my service if I didn't pay immediately. I had no choice because they were the only cable company that would service my area.

Charter is one of the most non responsive companies I have dealt with.
I have spoken with 20 CSR reps in the last 4 days.
It takes multiple calls to get credit to an account for lost services.
Getting answers to problems are difficult to get issues escalated is impossible.
I was able to find an agent to escalate a 4 day problem, to a person that can't do anything to help.
This would not be a severe issue but we have elderly that depend on a landline in our subdivision, with internet and phones services out this makes communication critical.
There is no customer service person that can escalate problems or give a customer a way to fix things even at the corporate level.
Charter is an expensive non-service oriented company.

Upset and pissed

My bill just went up $6.92 again. Their service is terrible. If you tell them your cable box goes out several times a day, sound goes out, picture freezes, they willl tell you if they come out and find nothing wrong at the time, you will be charged a service fee even though you pay monthly for them to handle all problems. They will never tell you upfront why your bill goes up and you will have nothing to show for the increase except horrible service.
