Corrupt company

I do not believe I have ever encountered reviews of a company or service rated a one and so negatively. However, I do believe that is the proper overall rating for this company. I have not had any service provided by spectrum except for internet for many years. The only reason I have spectrum internet is that they are the only cable internet service available in my area.
My recent experience was for cell phone service and they were the same old corupt company I encountered many years back. Their agents will lie and deceive you on a level which I have never experienced. Their agents will lie and deceive you in every way possible way in order to get your money. I recently tried their cell phone service along with an iPhone se. The cell phone was much to small and not compatible with my hands and they agreed to accept return of the phone. I returned the phone and cancelled my cell service with spectrum. They were supposed to provide me a complete refund of my monies. They did not! They attempted to charge my credit card $235 as they stated that they could not resell the phone. They stated that the phone had a smear on the screen which it did not. After discussions with several agents and the last person I spoke with was Dale to which he promised that he would have a higher-level manager return my call within 48 hours who would be Supervisor Rodney or Troy and would call within 48 hours. That was December 22nd and I am still awaiting that call. All of the spectrum/charter employees will lie and attempt to deceive you with the intent of tiring you and stalling until you simply go away. I have contacted my credit card company and they are not allowing charter to charge this scam to my card. I have had numerous problems with the spectrum/charter tv service which is a reminder of my past bad experiences with that deceptive company. Please be advised that spectrum/charter has a sordid past of scamming people back to March 28 2009. The company went public and all of a sudden, the stock began a death spiral which I believe was a planned part of their deceptive business goal. The stock went to zero and the investors lost billions of dollars. I was one of those investors which lost approximately $35,000. They again went public for the second time with the stolen monies. The bottom line is that spectrum/charter stole the investors' money. I talked with the Security and exchange commission (SEC) and they informed me that unfortunately what spectrum/charter did was shameful but legal. I am advising everyone that spectrum/charter is a corrupt and dishonest company which should be avoided at all costs.
This company has No integrity.

The worst
March 21, 2022

Our house burned down in june last yr. With everything going on i forgot to have the internet turned off right away. When i did they talked me into putting on hold nor stopping service altogether. Bad idwa so the bill comes they chatge luke it was still on. So i call back. Explain ti the cusyimer service rep that its on hold that im not supposed to be. Charged. That the house burned i can even use it which got me additufe from the rep we dont charge you by what you use. I was insulted hung up before telling her how i really felt and where she coukd stuff her opinion. Si i calk back. Explain the hoke thing to the next rep. Tell her cancell the internet. And she ststed that sge can see the house burned gave her i im so sorry to hear that. Crap and said she would handle the balance sunce she can see the house was burnt up
Next month i get another bill. Sane as before gi threw the wjole thing this time though she does simething tk get approval to forgive the balance. Im like cool. Thinking alright thus us handled. Right yeah... NO. THEY SENT ME TO COLLECTIONS. THESE DIRTY GAME PKAYING SO S OF HMMMM. IM YTYING TO REOLACE MY HOME THAT BURNED DIWN THRY SEND ME TI COLLECTIONS ON DOMETHING THAT THEY SUPPOSEDLY TOOK CARE OF ON 2 DIFFETENT ACATIONS.
I CANT HAVE THIS SHOE UO ON OUR CREDIT SO I PAID IT. THIS COMPANY IS COLD GAME PLAYING. WHAT THEY DID HERE IS WRONG.

Tip for consumers:

Dont use charter they lie cheat dont give packages the sales people offer . Then when your house burns they act like the care then send you to collections .

Believe it or not! Spectrum has not processed my Internet Cancelation Refund Yet! They have been lying - indicating that the Credit was Authorized and refund was being process (they indicated that a check will be mailed within 4 to 6 Weeks) (2 weeks late and they will not confirm when it will be processed) Instead of processing my Refund, they generated an additional invoice for the Internet Equipment returned 2 weeks ago (now in their pocession) - I Had to visit one of their locations recently to provide a copy of the UPS Equipment Return Receipt - indicating that the Equipment had been returned 2 1/2 Weeks ago (they logged in my complaint and assigned it a Case # ******* - indicating that one of their representatives saw and validated the equipment receipt 2 days ago. And Today the Clowns generated an Invoice for the cost of the "Unreturned (nternet) Equipment in their possession". Rating is - 1 Star -
