Paid for premium shipping only for my order to miss the expected date, then miss the 2nd expected date that it set, then ghost me with no update messages. Never buying from Macys again.
Ordered a dish set online, received a cancellation for the item stating the item was out of stock, the item is still available online so other fools will think Macys has what they advertise.
I am a good customer with Macy's for a very long time, last Month I purchased a bedroom and I was told that I should be getting it by next month, Then I received an email from them telling me that I won't be getting it till January of next year, that makes me with no bedroom for four months, I called them and I have been told that they don't have it and it is back order, I wondered Why I wasn't told this when I bought it, I would get a different one. Not very happy.
I am not shocked at the fact macy's are closing, they are one of the most deceiving companies I have dealt with. I made over $500 purchase, half of which was fragrances, it says on the site there's a free gift with purchase, if I spent $85 or more, lucky for me the supplies ran out, so when I called they said we can offer you 20% off your purchase, I said ok, puts me on hold and hangs up on me. When buying things, macy's store is a different entity than macys.com, but when I have to return I can go to store and return. WTF?!?! Type of business is that. I also selected free 3-5 day shipping, NOT 5-7 DAYS because there's an extra discount if I pick that option, but no the stupid operator is arguing I didn't pick that. $#*! I didn't get any discount. $#*!in hate the service... I would give no stars if I could. I hate coming to them, and now more than ever I am going to avoid them. They just lost a customer who spends more than $5000 + a year. Hell with it, I'll take my money where I get good customer service and they appreciate my business.
Oh I forgot... when I called the store to see if they have the same promotion as macys.com they rudely said no and hung up.
I got an one-time 30% off code for my birthday. I used it to buy a watch on Macy's website using the code. The order went through and I was happy. Later same day the order got canceled when I check the status on their website. It's the beginning of a nightmare:
1. I wanted to use the code again for another purchase since the order got canceled. The website rejected it claiming it's been used, yet in fact it hadn't 'coz the order was canceled. Shouldn't the system mark the code as unused upon the order cancellation?
2. I made two calls to the customer service. In both calls, the person on the other end called me Ma'am! I'm a man with a normal man's voice. How did Macy's train their customer service team?
3. Both called failed to resolve the issue.
4. Now the system removed my canceled order record. There is no way to look it up - throughout the process I didn't get any email notice - neither the original order nor the cancellation.
I'm really shocked the customer service and online purchase system can be this poor for Macy's. So disappointed!
Love the workers! Specially Ildes crom cosmetics she is wonderful! Helps you so much and makes you feel super welcome. She works at the Macys in Wayne, meeting her is a must!
I missed a sale yesterday and they honored the sale price after a lengthy call with customer service today. They were extremely helpful and polite! I was hesitant to call, but I'm very glad I did!
Purchased mattress online from macys 3 weeks ago scheduled delivery they confirmed 3 hours ago and canceled about 30 minutes uses later. Called customer service and they have no clue Buyer beware!
I am so SICK & TIRED of freaking Macy's. DO NOT PURCHASE JELWERY FROM THEM. My fiancé paid about 3k for my engagement ring only for there to be a misplaced diamond, but it was still pretty so I decided to keep it. But when the diamonds began to fall out a month later we quickly reached out to Macy's about getting the ring fix/replaced. They told us to ship the ring back and they would ship a replacement the following day. They did inform us that if they didn't receive the ring in 30days we would be charged for both rings. With faith in their word we sent the ring back. When they received the ring they told us they processed a refund instead. It's has been a month and a half we have NOT seen a ring nor a refund. And everytime we reach out to them they tell us the SAME THING. That they will process the refund. I am trying my best not to lose it on these people. The wedding is approaching and I have NO RING. & we were going to purchase our wedding band from them but that is OVER with.
I ordered an item through Macy's Bridal registry, after putting item in your cart, then they immediatley took you to payment, which was completed and was accepted, but after payment was accepted, and order # given- that was it, there was no way for the bride to know who the gift was from. Either Before or After payment, site should've had a way for buyer to put a Gift message to bride, and also to have the option of Gift wrapping, if desired. I did use PayPal, which took me out of Macy's main site, but after payment, should've taken you back automatically to Macy's site- it did not. When I realized this, I immediately went to their Customer Service site that tells you if you ordered within 30 min, you could amend your order, so I clicked on that, but it takes you to one of those pages that says, " Sorry, website not working", so I Call Customer Service, & someone in heavily accented English, that was very difficult to understand, tells me they "cannot help me". So, I had no recourse than to call the Bride's Mother( who I never met), and tell her about this fiasco, so the bride would know this gift was from me. Very humiliating. Will never use Macy's again. Their prices go up, as their Customer Service goes down.
I am taking my boyfriend to the military ball this fall, and so he decided to purchase a suit from our local Macy's.
The man in the men's department was rather helpful - until it came time to ring us up. He first ran the card without the sale (which took off 40 dollars) so he canceled the transaction and then went to run the card again which was then suddenly declined because the money that he had moved to that account had already been removed by Macy's. So after the man had originally said that we couldn't pay in cash, he decided it was alright to place the order with a cash payment. We had him politely call over his manager where we had the three receipts printed and brought it to her attention that the first card transaction yes said it was canceled but that the money was already gone from his account and that we would, as originally stated, like to pay in cash. The manager wasn't very helpful because all she said was "Well, this is what the computer says." Now its a week later, and the money has still not been returned to my boyfriends bank account and Macy's has officially double charged him for a three piece suit that should only have cost him $260 but now effectively cost him $560. My advice? Don't go to Macy's. Go somewhere local that won't tell you what the computer says and actually help you. We are going back today to dispute the charge to his card.
I have been Macy's customer for decades. Within the last couple of years, however, I tend to do my shopping and returns primarily online. I find the customer service at the stores inadequate; many checkout registers are empty and there are long lines and waits if you are lucky to find one with a salesperson. I feel that the sales personnel generally is not adequately familiar with the products they sell and most of the time cannot provide sufficient help if I am looking for something specific. There is a significant shortage of the personnel on the sales floor. One of the biggest issues I see is in a disconnect beetween their in-store and online operations. If you buy an item at the store, the only way to return is is to physically go back to the store. The prices adjustments for the items bought at the store cannot be done over the phone. The online and at the store prices could be different. They will acknowledge a lower online price at the store if one shows them a page from the online site. The items purchased at the store and online are marked differently and the return process is also different for items purchased online or at the store. I wish that Macy's online at at the store shopping and return polices were synchronized.
I ordered earings on 11/25. When my package arrived I was missing one of the three pairs of earings I ordered. I reached out to Macys and the first rep I spoke to said they would be resending the earings and I should have them in a few days. Then a few days later, I got an email from Macy's saying that they decided to no longer reship the earings and they would not be issusing a refund. I then called Macys back, and spoke with a rep who shared that Macy's made a decision and they wont be doing anything about this. The rep, told me that there was nothing they could do, since they closed my claim. The represenative told me to file a claim with my bank. I am abolutely shocked by the terrible customer service!
DO NOT BUY FORM KLEARGEAR.COM THEY ARE CRIMINALS! THEY LIE, THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY, THEY THREATEN TO RUIN YOUR CREDIT IF YOU TELL OTHERS WHAT THEY DID TO YOU, THEY MAKE FALSE CLAIMS ABOUT THEIR REPUTATION, SUCH AS HAVING A GOOD RATING WITH THE BBB (BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU) WHEN THEY DO NOT, THEY WILL REPORT YOU TO THE CREDIT AGENCIES EVEN IF YOU DO NOT OWE MONEY... THEY DO NOT BELIEVE IN FREE SPEECH!
I looked forward to this role; however, I had a manager that would direct me to do major tasks knowing that I wasn't trained to do it. I tasted the cool aide and didn't like it!
I wanted to place an order online but they let you put max of 5 gift cards in and I had 7. Had to call 800 number and you can barely understand the reps. He took my order and gave me order number which took 25 minutes of my time. He said I would get email confirmation. He didn't really seem like he knew what he was doing and kept asking for information I had already provided. I never did get email so I called 2 days later because I had a feeling rep didn't know what he was doing. I found out my order was canceled. Now the item isn't in stock. I asked to speak with a manager and she said one wasn't available. I asked for phone number to corporate office which she wouldn't give me. Then she told me to hold for supervisor. After 10 minutes she said he wasn't available. I received letter from Macy's saying order was canceled due to conflicting information. Customer service rep should of told me if phone number or email wasn't what they had on file and I could of tried a different one. I use different emails depending on who I am ordering from. Also maybe the phone number they have is old. This second call was 30 minutes. I basically wasted a hour of my time and got nowhere. They refuse to get you to a supervisor. This is terrible customer service and I am ashamed of a store of this caliber treating customers like this.
I made a big order with Macy's on 11/30 for $427. Macy's failed to fulfill the entire order, one coat (for 16.99) was on backorder. The backordered item was shipped on 12/27. When it was shipped my bank account was charged a pre-auth charge for the 16.99 AS WELL AS THE TOTAL OF THE ENTIRE ORDER I HAD ALREADY PAID ($410)! So now my bank account is negative and checks are going to bounce because of Macy's. When I called customer service I was told, "You'll be fine it will fall off, how long that takes is up to your financial institution". I shouldn't have to wait for it to fall off, I have already paid this order (minus 16.99) and Macy's had no right to hold my money again. I will never shop here again and will post my experience everywhere I can so other people know how this place does business. This is unacceptable!
If you can afford it, i suggest it. They have fine clothing if you make sure your not blosted and like at yourself in the dressing room mirror at all anngles.
Alex Mangione ( Costumer experience) treated us with kindness and you know how dedicated she is! We did need advice and we had it from her! Thank you Alex! We'll come back!
Crooks. Will fine you and report you to credit agencies if you leave a bad review.
