I AM THE REGULAR CUSTOMER OF MACY'S I SPENT AROUND $5000-$7000 PER YEAR TO BUY CLOTHES FOR ME AND FAMILY BUT I DONOT LIKE THE CREDIT

FEE, I TALKED WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE, SHE SAID IT IS OUR MISTAKES
SHE SAID IT TAKES ONE OR TWO TO FIX IT, THEY DID TWICE IN MY ACCOUNT SO I NEVER GO TO BUY MECY'S, THEY MESSED UP MY CREDIT SCORES

The clothes are good but
The system and customer service are Complete garbage
> No toll-free the phone number for Canada
> Returns are so so difficult
> Parcels and items are missing
> Freeqvantly keeps changing the website from Canadian to USA
> Customer service people in English not good and on background lot of noises

Beware of using Macys credit card. I have been a loyal Macys customer for 7 years with a perfect credit score. In 2015 I lost my job and house. With 3 part time jobs I kept paying my card until December that I became unemployed and thought I had liquidated my balance. I didnt receive a Macys statement for 3 months. In March 2016 I got a statement with late fees for a $161.92 purchase: the total now is $277.50.
I have been trying to make payment arrangements with Macys since March 07,2016 and Ive been receiving calls requesting a $130.40 payment. Ive spent hours explaining to different people because they pass me along to another department. Finally today, after over an hour on the phone with 4 different people, I got to talk with Rebecca, a City Bank payment specialist to be told that I didnt qualify to make payment arrangements. She told me that, since I dont have a backup plan in 6 months, they will continue to charge me late fees unless I make their required payment. When I asked about the meaning of a backup plan, I was informed that I had to assure them I would have a job.
First of all, If I wasnt in this situation I would not need to make payment arrangements. Second, I wish I could guarantee I will have a job in less than 6 months; this is not a situation I am happy about or wanted to be in.
Unfortunately I learned how disloyal Macys can be to its loyal customers. I just want them to stop the late fee charges and to let me continue paying an amount I can afford. They just dont care. I like the store but, if youre going through hardship, too bad! Pay what we say or else!

First experience for me was good one.An error was made in the shipping of a dress and they refunded me the money for shipping. No arguments, or hassles, just I am sorry that happened to you and a refund. Mistakes happen all the time it is to be expected. It is the way that companie's employees handled it that makes the difference. HEAD AND SHOULDERS ABOVE THE REST. KUDOS TO MACYS TO A JOB WELL DONE

I have been a Macy's customer for many years, spending hundreds of dollars annually. For the upcoming year, my plan is to spend as little as possible and ONLY after checking other stores...
Reasons:
A) two items that I ordered recently (a national women's clothing brand): one delivered but wrong item, the other lost in space. I ended up finding the item at Kohl's online for less than Macy's price--which had been marked down twice!
B) star rewards: a scam. Yes, they do award the $10 bonus when you hit 1k points on shopping but they are extremely arbitrary in how they award them. After my two recent returns (total of less than $50), my rewards pts went from nearly 1,000 to about 300. Why? Well, total of two hours on two separate occasions with their online chat was useless... contradictions and false information.
C) sale passes: I have been getting those for years and could count on one hand the number of times they actually worked. The fine print/exclusions are so extensive they look like a page from the phonebook.
D) I pay off my bill each month, both store and Amex, which I rarely use. I just happened to notice recently that the interest rate on carryovers was over 30%! Are you kidding me? How is that even legal?
E) most of all, as my recent experience with online Kohls' showed (as well as buying items like Patricia Nash scarf online@ HSN), Macy's is virtually never the best price.
Also, I have emailed numerous times and have NEVER got a reply.
If I were ever in a Macy's store and saw something that was a great sale, I might buy it.
But for the most part, I am pretty much done with Macy;s.

Terrible customer service
November 28, 2022

What in the world is happening to Macy's?! I tried placing an online order & had all kinds of issues so I called customer service to place order, they use offshore people that don't understand or speak good english, constantly had to repeat things, when we finally got to the paying part they informed me there computers had gone down & I'd need to call back in 2 hrs. Called back said they'd placed order & I would get a confirmation, never got one ck the next day still nothing long story short they canceled my order cause 1 of 3 items was sold out. So why would they cancel the rest of the order? Ended up I calling the store many times before I got anyone to answer the phone spoke to the store manager & was able to place order successfully. The whole process took around 3 hrs which is totally ridiculous. Again today I tried calling the store inquiring about an item & nobody answers the phone. Seems they have no customer service & if you do get hold of someone they know nothing. The store looks more like a clearance store than anything. Guess it's time to start shopping at Dillards, Nordstrom or VonMaur, done with Macys.

Fantabulous

Had the good Fortune of shopping at Macy's both at their Grand Manhattan store as well as the one in Long island and I must say the experience was great. The elderly lady at watches counter was so gracious and all the bling guys, especially thank one Young man who took great pains to help me select a winterJacket for my yohnge rBro.
I am from India but I still love the Manhattan Hospitality overall and especially at both The Macy's stores

But 4 stars because I wanted to find some genuinely American products, made and produced in America but found all Made in China
Being a Flagship American Store idid not quite like it

Coupon dysfunction

I was *******@the yonkers Macys location yesterday and went primarily to use a b-day coupon I had received in the mail...
Upon checkout the cashier had a very difficult time
Putting the coupon thru. Finally she called custmr service and I had to speak to a rep. After putting me on hold 2x he finally said I'll just put a $10 credit onto ur account and you'll see it next billing
This all took a good 15-20 min. With a line behind me. I dont understand Why or what the issue was
I'm sent coupons I go to use them and cashiers can't process the sale...This was not on the sales person she was lovely and very understanding and apologetic...
Then I go downstairs to housewares in basement.
I ask a sales person where are the vacuums she states we dont have vacuums. I walk about 30ft and theres a whole display of vacuums.
So my overall interaction with Macys was Not very favorable and Im considering closing my account
The store has completely changed.many depts & labels are no longer on floor. I use to shop there and have to put things back because I would find so much I liked. Not anymore...same with childrens dept. Merchandise is poorly made yet expensive

Purchased a necklace for my wifes birthday Same day delivery, the shipping company
Emailed me youll get it by 5:00 pm, never came in I called Macys customer service
Supervisor hardly speak English telling me the order was canceled! 9:00 pm my wifes birthday I was shocked no email no text nothing on top of it the supervisor ran
Out off answers so he just hang up the phone. STAY AWAY GO TO AMAZON PRIME IF YOU WANT TO GET IT FOR A SPECIAL EVENT!

I received the catalogue from Macy's, & Carolina HerreraGood Girl had a red tote bag gift wi purchase.
My husband, & I are both Platinum Members, & all the sales people know us very well.
My husband purchased the large size bottle of Very Goodgirl,& the sales puts on told us they didn't receive the red bag that they would have it Monday May as refer to the add, & they would call me to come to the store to pick it up.
I called the store Tuesday May 25, & now they claim they are not going to get the bags in at all.
I called Macy's Customer Care, & they told me all the Coral Ridge Macy's has 21, the Galleria Mall Macy's had the offer, but the representative wasn't concerned when I told her the other Macy's are not close by.
The worst customer Care

Poor Customer Service with a missing package.
December 20, 2022

I bought a purse weeks ago expecting to have it for Christmas but I never received my package, I received a email confirmation about my package delivered 12/09, I looked everywhere to see where was my package because I live in Apartments but nothing no news about my package, so I waited two more days to call Macy's to do the claim, when I called customer service to let them know about my missing package I was told that they will resend my package, the next day I received an email from Macy's, this email (We have researched the order in question and concluded that due to multiple claims of non-receipt, we are unable to credit or reship your merchandise. Also, we are unable to process reshipments or credits of merchandise purchased online going forward).
I was shocked because this is a completely lie, I just made only one claim in this past 15 years of been Macy's customer so no its not ok that Macy's have to lie for disregard responsibility of a missing package. Until this day I have called five times Macy's customer service, they keep saying that I will be reimbursed but nothing happens, I don't know why they don't want to be responsables of a lost package, because is a $400.00 dollars item? Macy's only refund cheap items or what is going on?
12/20/22 still no reimbursed or package resend

I purchased a cute backpack to go to work with on the app on my phone and chose to pick up the bag at my local Macy's. However, when the item was picked up from my order, I noticed the tag was $24.00 less than what I originally paid online, $106.80, so I called customer service and was instructed to send the order number *******483. I was already so annoyed and enraged by the audacity of the price difference because it's an ethics and integrity issue, especially for a frequent customer like myself. I emailed *******@macys.com as instructed by the customer service agents that I spoke to previously with the order number and picture of the tag clearly stating $82.80, but did they resolve the issue? NO; they were insulting at this point; I was so upset that I finally called the customer service representative a fourth time, and the agent agreed with me and gave me the adjustment. All the other attempts did not include the emails after three attempts. I went through all of the stress and hassle because of the principal. I know I will probably not be shopping at Macy's any longer.

We are platinum card holder shop in macys a lot
Last weekend we were in Macys Barton Creek Mall Austin TX
My husband shopping for shoes in Finishline show department.
First of all no one there to help
Later we were paying next to that department in men's we asked sales person Niobe is in shoe department he pointed out lady he said she works there that pink shoe lady ask her
We went to ask her about the size she was very rude she said we don't have
My husband asked the price of that show she said I don't know!
Price is not there and just stood there
She never sorry can we call other store or to offer if we can order in line
I was very disappointed by her behavior and the service Macy's empty providing
I don't know her name but she had big hair bun on her head wearing pink shoes her shirt said finish line!

Worst furniture delivery
September 18, 2021

Buyer beware do not buy your furniture from Macy's I got my delivery came with the wrong couch wrong recliner had to wait 3 weeks for a new delivery which is BS because it was their mistake again they promised me a 2 hour window delivery which of course they will not come at that time so waiting again because of their screw up 2 hour window came and left call customer service she called the delivery company they promised they would be here in an hour and a half. 45 minutes later I ger a call saying now they're not coming till 4:30.2 minutes later I got another call saying they are canceling my delivery in someone will get in contact with me to reschedule a new delivery. I called customer service they really don't care now I have to wait till 5:30 for my furniture the correct stuff which we all know it ain't going to happen I'll be lucky if I get it when hell freezes over they need to contract out the delivery service to a different company this company is unreliable unprofessional all they do is lie I talked to them the first time. I wish I would have went to Bernie & Phyl's or Jordans I would have paid a little bit more but at least I would have gotten the right furniture at the time they promised will never buy anything from Macy's again

Web site is messed up

Lately I've been ordering on line and it will say that I need to try back later something went wrong So when I check later it went through twice So I did not duplicate myself Macys web site did Very frustrating I tried to call and i couldn't get through so kept trying to cancel the duplicate and and the option never came up to do so When I finally got a hold of Macys it was to late. I know I can return it but I still have to bring to ups INCONVENIENT

WARNING! MACY'S

Do not trust Macy's employees! On June 16th I purchased a bracelet for my wife because we were told that we would receive a 25% discount because we were applying for a new credit card. The store receipt showed the full purchase but we were assured by 2 employees that we would receive the discount off the credit card bill THE PURCHASE WAS MADE AT THE MACY'S GALLERIA MALL IN HENDERSON, NV ON JUNE16,2022
When we received the credit card bill, we expected the 25% discount to be $450. But the only discount was $100. Even after contacting about the credit card bill they refused to honor their employees promise of a discount and only reluctantly apologized for the
Employees misinformation. WE ARE CANCELLING OUR CREDIT CARD AND WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH AGAIN!

I've submitted 3 rebate forms at the same time and macy's processed only 2 saying they haven't received my third form. I've a USPS receipt and copy of the forms as proof that I've sent in the mail. And now they are asking me to send the forms again over the mail. Just for small of rebate amount macys give us back how any mails I've to send them. All of my rebate offer amount will go for the mailing costs, if I resend them again and again. I asked them if there is an email or fax were I can email them but they are saying NO and they want the copy documents over the mail only. How can Macy's will guaranty me that they will receive my mail for the second time? Are they expecting to mail these rebate forms with certified tracking which costs $10 to get $8 rebate amount? Is this the way Macy's provide services to their customers? I feel this like a scam by Macy's to avoid rebate offer payments. I never recommend Macy's to any of my friends or family. Many times Kohls processed my rebate forms without any issues. This is the first time with Macy's and very bad experience. Don't fall into trap with Macy's rebate offers.
