I would not recommend purchasing from this website if you are located in Canada. A dress listed on the website as $89 ended up costing me $170 CAD. Now that I need to return the dress, I will be losing about $60.
Firstly, note that the price you see on the website is in USD. When you check out, the price that you pay at this point does not include the conversion (which could be expected), duty or tax. These are all charged after the fact. I was surprised when DHL was texting me asking for money and honestly thought it was spam. I do not feel like this was made clear before I checked out, but very possible I just missed it.
However, now that I need to return the dress, I am losing the shipping, duty and tax. Email communications I received from the company say that return shipping is free within 10 days, but apparently this does not include Canadians and I am on the hook for that as well. I had an unsatisfactory exchange with customer service about how this is misleading and they basically said "thanks for your feedback <3 xo".
Honestly, all of this wouldn't be that terrible if the size guide on their website hadn't said that I was a 97% match for this dress and their customer service was more helpful. If you are positive that the dress will fit, go ahead and order. If not, know you will be losing a considerable amount of money on the return.
I was so scared to order from lulu's because of the bad reviews but still wanted to give it a try! And I'm so glad I did. I had bought 4 dresses for my brother's wedding to choose one in case the quality wasn't that great but all 4 dresses are FANTASTIC the quality of the fabric was great, the fit was perfect but I had to return two just because I had chosen the one I liked. I changed the third one for the size and I kept the fourth dress just because I liked it... when the time came to make the return and the exchange EVERYTHING was done so quickly, they sent me the label, then I took it to UPS and Later in the afternoon I got an email telling me that the exchange dress is on its way. THIS IS FANTASTIC!
I had ordered a pair of Free People denim shorts that came in the wrong color/style. I had seen in reviews that this had happened to more than one customer. I called customer service and explained the situation. The woman (I wish I saved her name!) was so patient and helpful. She went as far as to contact the warehouse and have them screenshot a photo of the shorts to her, which she then forwarded to me. We confirmed these were the correct pair and she then also informed me that they were now on sale, so credited me back the difference. I received the correct pair days later. I wish everything was this easy. In a world of ordering online and therefore having more returns that usual- this was such an amazing customer service experience.
I have made numerous purchases, mostly shoes and dresses, from Lulu's over the years and have had a consistently good experience with them. They have very cute styles, their prices tend to be exceptionally good, and every order I've ever placed has shipped within a day, sometimes even the same day I placed it. I've only ever needed to make one return, and the process was easy and my refund was applied quite quickly after they received the return.
I have tried about 7 different dresses from Lulus. My size is medium and I matched it with their medium size as well online. I bought 2 dresses of the same style but with different colors. One dress will not zip up and the other one was tight at the hips and the waist! Another dress had sequins but then everytime I wore the dress, the sequins kept falling off. Yet still, another dress was a wrap style dress and my boobs were not covered at all by the dress. I give up. I am NEVER buying from them again. They do ship the dresses right away and if you ship things back within 10 days, you can get a full refund. (I really appreciated this, check the fine print first however, if it's a final sale for eg.).
They also offer free shipping on orders >= $50 compared to shopwo.com's $100 order total.

Extremely poor customer service! Their website crashed several times during their sale and they would not honor the promo code even after me reaching out multiple times. I have been a long time customer and now they have lost me as a customer for good because of their poor customer service skills. Their clothes are hit or miss, some of them are very cute while some of them look nothing like the pictures. Make sure to keep the tags on because they won't return it without one. I don't recommend this company, they don't value their customers.

I only spent $500 on some dresses for a birthday gift so not a huge customer, but they refused to allow returns of the ones that didn't fit because it past the 30 days allowed. Guess I should've waited until the day before her birthday to order them.

I bought a dress from lulus 6 weeks ago. L I tried it on briefly and it fit so put I put it in my closet, unworn with tags left on. I just pulled it out as I'm trying to pack for my upcoming cruise and noticed that the sides are longer than the back. It's an asymmetrical dress, but the back should be the longest part. The sewing is sloppy. It seems like a defect. I went online to try and initiate a return, and it would not allow me to do so. I hate to spend this much money on what feels like a defective item! 30 days is such a short time to use as a hard deadline for returns. I expect better quality in a dress at this price point!

Legally businesses cannot charge people for sending unauthorized packages, or packages that people never placed an order for. I received an order that I did not make, and lulus decided to charge my card on file for it. This literally is illegal. Will be reporting as fraud.

I can't say enough good things about this site! The style and quality of the clothing are really good, and the customer service has been above average. Twice I needed to call to instigate a slightly complicated return, and both times the customer service agent I spoke with was friendly, helpful and patient. I will definitely order from this company again.
My order is late and there is no way to track it. I'd like a full refund. The tracking number is invalid OR the order never shipped. There is no way to contact the company by phone (on hold indefinitely- "We are experiencing longer than expected wait times") and chat support never connects you to an representative.

I realized that I had accidentally put the wrong shipping address for my order, so I used their texting service to contact them about how to fix it, as the dress had already shipped, and they were incredibly helpful and nice. The girl who was helping me did everything she could to help and got the address changed. I was so incredibly impressed with how quickly she responded and how helpful she was.
Not only does this site prove great quality purchase after purchase, but they are also stepping up their game recently with a "Wedding Guest" attire tab. They have mapped out exactly what dresses to wear for outside or inside weddings, all without upstaging the bride. I have shopped from Lulu's many times in the past, and also rely on them for a new spring or summer wardrobe, but with the first wedding I've ever attending coming up in October, I was thrilled to find that Lulu's exceeded my expectations yet again.
I was debating on returning my dress. When realized how beautiful it was so I keep it and loved and enjoyed every second wearing it!
I bought 5 items, wasted $150+ and could not get a refund on any! Cannot reach customer service on chat, text, or phone call - all robots that don't connect you. Call literally hangs up after a minute of wait time. They stop you from responding on the chat by blocking your area to type. They charge your phone carrier a fee to text.
All items came super cheap - shoes looked like they had glue coming out all seems. Ordered a small dress, it was XL with a S label sewed in.
Will never purchase again. Terrible experience.

I bought many items from Lulus while I live in Canada, I did not mind paying shipping fees and customs, but when I received the items I was shocked by the poor quality and the deformed fitting that is not even close to the pictures they provide on their website. I called to complaint and sent them the pictures for their items, it took me over an hour of time to chat with the representiative that after long negotiations she offered to return them, without returning the customs for those items. It is so disappointing when dealing with a big company like Lulus to have this quality of ignorance and not taking the responsibility of their deffected items as if they were happy to get rid of it by selling it to their customers. I do not recommed buying from Lulus.

They do not pay for returns and are not able to generate return labels for you. So if you need to return any items that do not fit or you changed your mind or you don't like the quality or whatever else and you are not in the US you will be responsible for all return costs and headaches to process the same!

I feel discriminated against and the shopping experience was made worse when the site refused to take my money for invalid reasons. My billing address is from another state but still valid. The company took my money for 24 hours and never process my order. Horrible experience.

I placed and order for a dress a week in advance. I payed extra shipping to have it shipped on a Friday, however it is days later and still nothing. Am I supposed to paying extra in shipping for my order to arrive late? I needed my order for the weekend and when speaking to a representative they did not help me whatsoever and suggested that I just returned the order all together. How is that supposed to help when I need the dress that day? I will most certainly not order from here again.

Honestly, I'm very upset with my purchase. My dress was expensive and is cheap and pretty ugly. Duties are extremely high for Canada, so I highly recommend you don't order from here if you want to pay $75 on top of your order.

Duties and taxes are imposed by your country's government because you are importing items. They are not related to Lulus.com, so we cannot predict their cost or control how you are charged. We also have a disclaimer at checkout to give our international customers a heads up that customs fees may apply, as we never want these fees to come as a surprise!
If you have any concerns about the amount you paid for customs fees we suggest contacting your respective Customs Department directly. As they calculate and collect these fees, they should be able to provide further insight.

Answer: DO NOT ORDER FROM CANADA! They will charge you an insane amount for duties and taxes! I bought 2 dresses worth about $70 CAD each and I had to pay $68 CAD in duties and taxes! I've ordered from many other American companies and online stores and I've never ever paid this much is duty or taxes!
