My condo. I had my patio light or wss open and I sat by. THE DOOR WAITING AND A NO SHOW after 30 min I finally. Gave up TERRIBLE SERVICE. STAY AWAY.
Apparently, Grub Hub is a bit confused about the fact that their service is to deliver food that you've ordered and paid for. Tonight, I ordered curry and rice. The curry came, but not the rice. I messaged them, and the customer service agent said he'd refund me. I let him know that, given the choice between a $2.50 credit to my account or eating dinner, I'd prefer to have the rice delivered, so that I could eat (the restaurant is REALLY close to my house--I just don't have a car tonight). He said that it was impossible, as he'd just refunded the rice. (The delivery driver--who I tipped, BTW--had JUST left!) I explained to the customer service agent that I wasn't going to drink the curry, and the main order INCLUDED rice, so I hadn't really gotten my meal. After a lot of back and forth, I finally got him to get the rice re-delivered (or so he said). Two hours after the original order, no rice. AND they had re-charged me for it. WHAT THE WHAT?! I ended up drinking a protein shake, and putting the uneaten curry (I guess I'll make rice for myself tomorrow...) in the fridge. They could NOT CARE LESS about the fact that you're ordering food because you're hungry. It was the weirdest customer "service" conversation I've ever had. I literally typed to him "When I order food through your service, because I'm hungry, and then you don't deliver said food, I don't care about a refund. I actually want the food, and for you to do what you promised." I'm still hungry... BUT I have a $2.50 refund on my credit card! Wheeeee! What terrible customer service. What terrible fulfillment of a business transaction.
Receipt total 43.51. Grubhub charged 87.16. The psychic at Grubhub said I ordered $50 in fish... LIARS...
I've twice received emails offering 20% off to be deducted when I check out.
Didn't happen either time. I won't be using grubhub again.
Delivery was to take only 30 minutes. One hour late and the driver didn't even know the area. Even when they provided a map.

I picked a restaurant from Grubhub's list based on the fastest estimated wait time. 40-50 min it said. 2 hours later I get order and it's cold.
Used to be good. Now customer service is nasty, surly, and stupid. Maybe they grew too fast. Or just got too arrogant. Looking for an alternative.
Super slow and they hide hidden fees in taxes. I will definitely never use this app again door dash is way faster and straight forward

Their drivers will not deliver over 9 miles so they cancel my order and tell me I will receive a refund in 5 to 10 days never again
Never had any success with this broken web site. I live in Maryland and they tried to order my food from Arizona. Never waste time on here again.
Livid is not the word I order tonight at 7:12, it is currently 8:25. Utterly Ridiculous! Save your anger, hunger and so very much more.
Driver hung up on me because he supposedly didn't understand English. Order supposed to be here by 1025 now 1045 and still not here. Never again.

I gave Grubhub a million chances. The first 2-3 times I ordered with them were great. Painless, not terribly priced, accurate. The last several times myself or my husband have ordered have been awful. Just now, my husband is on his way to pick up our food from a restaurant 25 minutes away (we have one one mile away, but the Grubhub app apparently doesn't use that one. DoorDash does btw). We ordered at 6:20. Delivery said around 7:15-7:25.7:15 rolls around and my husband checks the app. Now says 7:45-7:55 (this delayed time has happened with almost every single delivery I've ever had from them). Okay, we wait. Open the app again around 7:40 to check, now says 8:05-8:15. Driver still not assigned, no tracking info available, and no signs that it's going anywhere any time soon. Call the restaurant, they say it's been ready since 6:45. Call Grubhub and they have no clue what's happening, can't promise someone will even get there in the next 30 minutes. We cancelled our order and called the restaurant back to see if we could just pick up the food there, so now my husband is picking up our food and Grubhub offered a measly 20% off. They suck. In the past I've had the driver hand us the wrong customer order, not deliver ever, take two hours, or deliver a completely incorrect order. The best I've ever received from them was a coupon in exchange, almost always with an expiration date in the near future. I deleted their app over a year ago but we thought surely they must have their $#*! together by now, and they had a good deal on our favorite place. Nope. They're still terrible. DoorDash is a phenomenal customer experience, and even Uber Eats with all its fees is far superior because at least they get it right.

Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.

Answer: Yes, it is normal. Original delivery times are almost never met. No drivers, Lost Drivers, Poorly trained or untrained drivers.

Hope you were able to cancel it, but wonder if it showed up in the mean time. For this reason I no longer use a card but pay cash when I get the food. Hope you've managed to eat something by now.
