Awful, terrible, do not use their service! I ordered very expensive shortbread cookies ($65 for 9 cookie bars) and did not notice the apartment number did not get populated. Received notification that it was out for delivery and then nothing. I had to go onto the tracking site to find in the notes it said no apartment number returned to sender. Their response? We'll give you a one time 50% off to resend the same product to the correct address. No thanks. They couldn't contact me for the apartment number?! Wow. Do not do business with people like this.
We're sorry about the original issue. We do always ask that customers double check that all information is correct before submitting an order, and that they additionally check their confirmation email so that we can adjust an order if need be, as once the orders have been shipped it's extremely hard to get the order adjusted and make sure it arrives in good condition. Goldbelly isn't able to verify if a customer's shipping address is correct until shipping attempts. We see that after further review, a replacement for your order from Shortbread Society was set up for delivery in May as a courtesy. We hope the 2nd try went much better and that the order was enjoyed!
I ordered something special expecting high quality, but what I got was poorly made, bland, and nothing like what was advertised. The packaging was a mess, and the product didn't arrive in great condition. I reached out to customer service and got generic replies with no real help or resolution. For the price, I expected much better. Would not order again.

My one and only experience was ordering two items as a birthday gift. I ordered a week early, and one arrived on time. The day the second item was supposed to arrive, I checked on the status. It hadn't even shipped yet. Goldbelly could provide no explanation. It's now arriving a week late (remember, for a birthday celebration), and my only compensation is a small discount off a future order (which expires in a month). Never again. Don't order unless you don't care whether your item actually arrives or not.

In the beginning, it was easy, convenient, and delicious. Modernly, it is a nightmare. More specifically, customer service representatives like [REDACTED; Goldbelly forced Trustpilot to have me remove a male reps first name; funny given that Goldbelly employees have been cyberstalking me] are an absolute nightmare to deal with, if anything goes wrong. Which, happens frequently.
I do not wish this company on my worst enemy. If reps like [REDACTED; Goldbelly forced Trustpilot to have me remove a male reps first name; funny given that Goldbelly employees have been cyberstalking me] treat a customer who has spent over $18k USD like this, how will they treat you? AVOID! Moreover, in the days since posting this review, [REDACTED; Goldbelly forced Trustpilot to have me remove the first name of a female who purports to be the manager of customer experience; funny given that Goldbelly employees have been cyberstalking me] tried to harass me to take this review down via email and several Goldbelly employees including ones I had never interacted with began viewing my LinkedIn to try and intimidate me.
Now, this review itself Goldbelly is peppering with takedown requests. They are a joke.
They cant face the truth so they try to burry it. Run from these clowns!

I placed an order through Goldbelly for 4 pizzas from Pequod's in Chicago, IL. When we lived in Chicago we frequently ate in at Pequod's. We love their pizza! Now that we've moved to Florida, we were thrilled to learn that we could order Pequod's pizza through Goldbelly. The pizzas arrived on time and packed on ice which was all good. However, when we opened the first pizza it appeared to be more charred than normal (and we know Pequod's has a history of some charring around the crust and rim.) We assumed this was just normal. We baked it following the directions on temperature and duration. What came out of the oven was 60% not edible, meaning it was more than slightly burnt, per their own standards, it was chewy to the point of not tasting good as we attempted to chew through the bite. We took pictures of it and threw out the remaining pizza. We immediately notified Goldbelly assuming we got a bad batch which would have been no big deal had they looked at the photos and our complaint and offered a refund. Instead, they sent us a coupon for future use on their website. Why would I spend more money with a company that I received a faulty product from? Later that day we received another email from an individual telling us everyone has different tastebuds and taste is subjective. Had we ordered in at Pequod's and received an over half not edible pizza we would have sent it back. There is nothing subjective about stating that a pizza was more than charred and chewy therefore not edible. Very poor customer service. Needless to say, we will never use Goldbelly again and will contact Pequod's direct, as we are loyal customers, and let them know how terrible this company is with resolving customer service issues.

- Ordered 1 item: delivery was to be for 14 feb. Did not arrive, and no notice of any kind.
- 15 Feb: receive a notice it will be received on 16 Feb. Didn't need it by then so i asked to cancel.
"Can't cancel an order under 3 days of shipping date"- so my money kept by GB and the vendor and I just need to accept this.
-16 Feb: will not arrive until 7PM. I'm not in the delivery area anymore, and it won't be delivered until 7PM, so no one will be able to receive it.
They offered a lot of apologies, and some misdirection (reminding me how to prepare the food I don't have when I get it/if I get it) but at then end of it, my money is gone, and they don't own the problem= FAIL.
The hardest part is when customer service drowns you in apologies, and "so sorry for YOUR experience, here's a discount to suffer our uselessness again for a little less money than what you spent before".
At the end they're trying to sell you on a spoonful of excuses you know they themselves couldn't swallow if they had to endure the same incompetence they spill on you.
It's a sales portal, and like many other sales, they're not skilled in customer service or ownership. Some of these well named chefs should be careful of brand association

My wife and I have ordered from Goldbelly multiple times. Every other time we have ordered from them, we have been extremely pleased with the quality of the product.
However, the most recent order, which was supposed to be 75 day, wet, aged primes, ribeyes, ended up being 75 day, wet aged select steaks. They were absolute trash.
They were filled with gristle and large, thick, fat rivers. There was hardly any marbling too.
We contacted Goldbelly about the low quality of the steaks. They said that they do not take returns but that they would give us $15 off of a future order. This one order was $240. Not cheap.
We will never be ordering from Goldbelly again. They do not care about their customers. They only care about their money.
There are plenty more websites that offer high-quality prime and Wagyu steaks. Goldbelly sucks.

I ordered a couple of pizzas from Chicago's "Gino's East." I love Chicago pizza, so the $105 for 3 sounds high, but sure. I had a $20 promo for first-time users, so it came out to $89.99 all in.
I ordered, paid, and I got an email saying my order would be delivered on Jan 12th...8 days shipping for pizza, OK. Welp 12th had come and gone no pizza, no belly communication... Humm. Look for customer service and it's only an email that states "will respond in 1-2 days".ok great response time.
Emailed the evening of the 12th and I did get an email response the same evening stating;
"I'm very sorry a status update is not showing for your order! I understand your concern and I'm going to pass this along to a senior team member to be looked into further. Please allow 1-2 business days for a follow-up.
We appreciate your patience!"
Ok, so Goldbelly never actually did anything with my order for 12 days. On the 16th, I still had not heard back from anyone (not surprised), I found a customer service number online, called, waited 15 minutes, CS proceeded to tell me, "Yeah, never shipped," and refunded... Absolutly didn't care at all about making anything right.
Abysmal first and last experience, Textbook horrible customer service; the next time I'll just fly to IL and walk back, I still beat this service and be happier.

On December 9, I ordered a carrot cake from Ina Garten's Barefoot Contessa company for our Christmas Celebration. It was supposed to be delivered on the 21st and that would have given me time to have it thawed and ready to go on the 24th, which is when my family all gets together. It hadn't arrived by the 23rd and I called Goldbelly to ask if they could clarify and be aware that my package wasn't delivered as promised. I was assured it would be here by the end of the day on the 24th, which wasn't ideal but I was willing to accept it. Well, the cake never came and it is now January 4th and I am still trying to get my money back. I have been emailing back and forth with them and they keep giving me the runaround and want to give me store credit with a 90 day expiration date, but I don't use them often enough and it doesn't change the fact that I never got my order. When looking at the shipping receipt you can see that a label was made but it never made it to a facility or on a truck. They refuse to give me a refund even though I was proactive and made them aware of a possible delivery error. They act as if this was completely out of their hands, but I let them know that there was going to be a problem. I am beyond done with this company and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone at this point. I am filing with the BBB and I am calling my credit card to see if I can get my money back, but I am not optimistic. Companies like this need to do the right thing when an incident like this happens and also hold their vendors to a higher standard. Order at your own risk.

I ordered 3 pies from Goldbelly 3 weeks before the holiday. The were not delivered until 2 days after.
I looked into it futher and saw that the pies were not sent until Monday, giving the pies about 2 days to get to us. I complained 3 times and heard NOTHING back

Ordered a Christmas Eve meal for my parents on 12/18, with a delivery date of 12/22. On 12/21 I noticed that the dinner had not shipped. Tried to email customer service and got an automated response that it would be days for an actual response. Checked status again on 12/22. Item had not been shipped. Tried to text, message, call and email customer service. Was told that they had turned off calls and texting and the only way to reach customer service was via email. Emailed again. Automated response received. It's now 12/26. Goldbelly took $200 from me and yet the gift I ordered was never received and I cannot reach this company. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!

Answer: They aren't necessarily a scam, but very poor customer service policies. If anything goes wrong with your order, like it did with mine, they just blocked me from their Facebook page so I couldn't leave a review. It's just luck if your order arrives and looks as you would expect and if it doesn't you are out of luck. Just contact local bakeries or restaurants and have them deliver for you, no reason to pay Goldbelly and have a third party who cares nothing about your order throw it around in the back of their truck and deliver it trashed. Goldbelly is unscrupulous and a big risk of wasted money.
