Per my conversation this evening with a "manager" I am relaying in writing my great dissatisfaction with your product. I have filed a report with the better business bureau, attorney general's office, and the greater public in any way I can. It took an hour to even let me know my order was canceled. My funds are not being returned for 3-5 day which means they are not available for me to use to get the food you did not produce. As I shared with your manager, I made sure the restaurant I chose delivered to my home. Your site said it did to the end that a delivery fee was included. I DOUBLE CHECKED THIS. I placed my order and received the message that the order had been received. I received a time of delivery. An hour later, after waiting for food to arrive, I received a phone call from a very undertrained employee who made sure I knew it wasn't her fault or he problem I asked to speak to manger who blamed it on HIS customer the restaurant. I will be sharing my communications with them as well so they know how they have been represented by your product. You need to reconsider taking people's money before the product is delivered so that if there was a problem they would not be inconvenienced by not being able to use the funds they identified for their food purchase. This is a terrible practice. I was told "we are not a bank" and "the restaurant changed the delivery boundaries". Neither of those excuses got me food this evening. I will be sharing this experience far and wide and have asked for an investigation through the BBB and AG's office.

They advertise to help us through COVId yet charge high fees to both customer and restaraunt. They do not help anyone but them selves and rode the nitch though this pandemic.

THIS IS THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER ORDERED FROM! My order kept getting delayed and delayed and delayed. I called several times and got put on hold then I was told it would be to me within 10 mins. Never came so I called back, I got a lovely promo code and my food still wasnt here. THEN after 2 hours my food finally arrived, COLD, all of it was COLD and NASTY and the order was WRONG! I called back and wouldnt you know they wanted to give me a promo code and nothing more, I argued and got a whopping 10 back and a promo code. THIS PLACE IS RIDICULOUS! They arent able to get me hot food and replace my order because the website is automated. I WILL NEVER EVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN! THIS IS A SCAM!
Ordered food from grub hub toninght at 5:27 pm, waited and hour and a half for food then did an online chat with their customer service to say no delivery yet, I was told they called the restaurant and the food should be at my house any minute. When I asked what time the food left the restaurant, could she please verify that, she said she couldn't? Another hour and a half later (it's 8 pm now, kids usually in bed by now but haven't eaten and are atarving) and so I do an online chat again. This customer service rep again called the restaurant and was told by the restaurant that they never received the order! I am not sure how this happened when the first representative supposedly verified the order and said that it was on its way! So the aevond customer service rep says if I want my food it's another 45 minutes!
Fast forward an hour, 9 pm now and the food finally arrives. Oh but I got a discount code for the NEXT TIME I ORDER, like that will ever happen again. Completely ridiculous 3 and 1/2 hours for food, did I mention the food was cold when I got it?
This website is a complete hit and miss, There are times when hiccups do happen which is understandable but not as frequent as these guys do, Not only did I wait two hours for my food but I didn't even get an email telling me that something was wrong with my order, it wasn't until I called that they told me something was wrong (Obviously) and that the order was canceled. Great canceled, the money will be returned to me in a couple of days but now I have no food, I got another email from them saying They gave me a $5.00 credit to my next order, No credit. I got into their Livechat and the person there told me I was logged in as a guest, I logged in JUST TO MAKE SURE, Not as a guest, again no credit, It's not even about the money, It's about the responsibility you take when you TAKE orders and handle other peoples money, I'm just going to call my favorite restaurant on the phone, and I highly suggest other restaurants take this website off, Hiccups are fine, being lied to? Nope.

Gh only works because people buy $#*! off of it. What makes it suck is that the lack of money you should have at the end of the day/night. The tips are never enough - you end up poor because you don't have a company car. In years past i believe grubhub paid out more. It really isn't about the pay though, they just don't give a squirt of piss about you. Just your typical corporation. And you are a typical foot soldier for some ahole corporation. Profits matter more to the corporation as a whole than for the employed. I also would like to add the lack of civil rights grubhub posses. They are your typical sellouts to big government. Imagine siding with big brother instead of siding with your workers - your typical corporation. Lack of civil rights you say? Yes, of course you want to learn specifics. This applies to every corporate communist piece of $#*! company muzzling workers. Dear CEOs - choke on CO2 while choking on millions of germs for 8 hrs a day. Civil rights will prevail commy world. I accidentally put the wrong address with my order. I tried to change it I could not it was not an option on the app. I texted the driver there was no response. I called customer care and she proceeded to tell me she couldnt help me because they tried calling me. The only calls I recieved was of the same number Chicago and never left a voicemail. I live in michigan amd with all the scammer calls im not really in a position to answer an out of state phone call. I also received zero texts and zero voicemails from the company nor the driver. Because I failed to answer the call and the food had been "delivered" there was nothing that they could do. So after talking to this lady for 5 minutes she said she'd send me a promo code and I was okay with that... until I put a new order in because I was hungry and had been waiting over an hour for food thats when I realizes the promo code she gave me was $2.60! My original order was $14.00. I put in the promo code for the new order and my order was over $17.00 including the promo code. I called a Marco who was supposedly a manager. Said there is nothing he could do because I applied the promo code. I'm out 14.00 and spent over 17.00 on the next order because they couldnt refund me not replace my order after it was delivered to nobody. Grubhub took $35.00 from me for 1 plate of Bob Evans that was originally a $10.00 meal. I need my money back and they will not give it back to me.

I ordered from kfc. Placed order around 4 30. Email said order should be delivered by 5 16. The driver texted me to ask for direction at 4 57. At 5 45 I still hadn't gotten my food. I texted the driver back and called and never got a response. So I called GrubHub to see what was going on with my order. She said the driver was at the restaurant picking up the food. By now my delivery time has moved to 6 00. They put me on hold to call the driver to get a delivery time. When they got back on the phone with me they said there had been a technical error and something didnt go through on their end and gave me a full refund. Thing is if there was a technical error how would the driver even have my number to text and ask for directions? Long story short I never got my food and they refunded me after waiting for my food for 2 damn hours. I will never again in my life use their services again and never recommend them to anyone. They are horrible. Like I told the customer service person, I understand it may take longer due to what is going on with this coronavirus thing but still the least they could have done was communicate to me what was going on and it would've been fine, I would've waited. I even gave the driver a nice tip. From now on I'll just go through door dash or waitr, they have much better communication skills and care about their customers.

I ordered from a local restaurant and the order was cancelled. I ordered from a second local restaurant and the order was canceled. What a waste of time. I could have just driven to Whataburger.
NEVER EVER EVER USE THIS SERVICE. I ordered Chinese food, which takes 15 minutes max to prepare, at 3pm and received my order at 5pm. Needless to say the noodles were dried out and crunchy for lo Mein and the almond fried chicken was soggy. Grub hub offered $12 on first time order which I never received and when called was only offered $10 by grub hub. I received an e mail from the restaurant saying order would be here by 4:30 which I was fine with since the site says it may take one hour and was willing to give them 90 minutes, but not two hours! Grub hub of course blamed the restaurant saying they got busy at exact time I placed order and only had one driver. My question would be then rather than give a customer $40 of nasty food that has sat there almost 2 hours why didn't they just make new in 15 minutes if they cared. This restaurant was Ming Palace in Everett, Wa. Grubhub forces a delivery charge PLUS a minimum 15% tip for this sh*t service and food. This first time customer did this for the last time. Course when doing online chat with me they just ended the conversation when I wanted to know why it would be my problem the place got busy and only had one driver and there response was basically to hang up on me.
I ordered my meal from Grubhub at 540 with an estimated delivery time of 620-630. As 620 approaches I check the app to see it's now estimating 650, not a big deal. I check again and now it's estimating 720 hmmmm inn maybe the restaurant is busy. I check yet again and now it's estimating 740 that's more than an hour past the time originally estimated. I contacted the restaurant who told me my food has been ready for quite awhile and no one had picked it up. I then chat with customers service at Grubhub who informs me my food cannot be delivered until 835! I ordered at 530 so that is 3 hours from when I ordered! I told the rep that is unacceptable my food would be old and cold by then. They cancelled my order and gave me a full refund then the fun part began. The delivery driver starts texting my phone stating she didn't steal my food. Ok... I never once said she did. She then states she wouldn't do that especially not chicken she don't eat chicken. I didn't even order chicken. She then says she left the food at my door and took a picture... FALSE because the restaurant confirmed it was never even picked up. I told her I cancelled the order already to have a good day. She replies that she's the one who cancelled the order because she's not allowed inside the restaurant. What does that even mean? Is she banned from the restaurant haha! Anyways I find it ridiculous the drivers are allowed to harass the customer like this.
DON'T order from Grubhub! They don't give a damn & the service is lousy to nonexistent!
Here's what happened to me: I ordered from a Cheyenne WY restaurant at 4:30 p. M for delivery at 6 p.m. When dinner wasn't here by 6:40 p.m., I messaged & was told a driver hadn't been assigned to bring me my order, but delivery would be expedited. The kitchen at the rehab center closes at 7 p.m. & the doors close at 8 p.m. Dinner didn't arrive by 9 p.m. & I messaged again. I was told a driver wasn't available. I cancelled the order & told Grubhub I'd NEVER order from them again.
It was unacceptable behavior by Grubhub not to inform me problems could be expected from the start & keep me informed of delays throughout. It wasn't suggested I cancel the order until a few minutes before I cancelled. I can't imagine restaurants that enjoy dealing with late arrivals or drivers who don't arrive at all because reheating their food or letting it go out cold don't make them look good either.
The end result was I got no dinner that night because the kitchen had closed at 7 p.m. & the doors closed at 8 p.m. so no other delivery was possible that night.

Ordered my LUNCH at 3pm - only to have their driver show up and hour and half later at my building and deliver my already paid for food to another apartment despite me saying it was for me.
I wanted to cancel but after speaking to customer service I had them resend the order and ANOTHER hour and a half later I call the restaurant after receiving no reply from EAT 24 and the restaurant says they NEVER resent it bc EAt 24 completely cancelled the order.
It's 7pm - I still have no lunch! Save yourself the headache (this is not the first time they mess up my deliveries) and use another service!
Normally I would never right a review like this however Grubhub was so incompetent tonight that it boggles the mind. After I placed an order at 9 I received an email at 11:45 (an hour past expected delivery). It revealed not only was my order canceled BY GRUBHUB, not only were all of the restraunts in the area closed, BUT IN 3 HOURS A DRIVER NEVER PICKED UP THE ORDER. IT TOOK THEM 3 HOURS TO TELL ME THIS. I am litterally so hungry RN and cant get food because this took so long. The worst thing is that I might view this as a one time issue except for the fact that THIS EXACT SAME THING HAS HAPPENED TWICE BEFORE.
A 5 dollar discount which expires in two months i not enough. I litterally did not eat tonight because of this companies incompitance and I am deleting the app.
Tried to order through Grubhub to celebrate an important day. Got a text saying food was delivered--no food. Tried to text and call the driver--no response, mailbox full. Not that we could eat food delivered to someone else anyway, even if they'd retrieved it! Called customer service, who canceled the order but when I said this is dinner, can we please put the order through again, they said they called the restaurant and that I would get my email and text about the delivery. I asked several times, but how much time do you think it will take, and are you sure I'm going to get an email/text about the next order? Yes, I was told, several times, and they said the time would be in the next email. After waiting 15 minutes, post call, I called the restaurant. They were very apologetic, said someone had called them, that they had canceled the payment, and THEY SAID THEY WOULD CALL BACK WITH REORDER AND NEVER DID. When I called customer service again, they said they could see the notes on our cancellation, but that Grubhub can't reorder for us--that I would have had to do it again, which was NOT what the first customer service representative said. He lied. Why? I don't know. But the upshot is, the evening was ruined and we had no dinner delivery. Thanks, Grubhub. Thanks a lot.

I have ordered many times from GrubHub or its predecessor organizations (Eat24) before. Usually the food is here within the indicated time, the delivery person rings my door bell or knocks on the door (I sit close by the door) and I receive the food. Today after 70 minutes I contacted GrubHub that my food was not here after having ordered it.
They said a driver had attempted to call me and then driven away. I told them I had not received a call from a recognizable caller ID nor was there a message left on my answering machine alerting me. No-one rang the door bell or knocked on the door. I was then informed that drivers do not need to do that (although at not point was I informed that I should be awaiting a call from a person whose name/number I wouldn't recognize). Moreover, the food wasn't left for me retrieve. I was furthermore told that the driver would not reattempt delivery nor would I be reimbursed for food that was not delivered. I have successfully disputed my VISA charges and will from now on order directly from the restaurant, which is much better anyway. GrubHub charges a heft "service fee" (separate from tip to driver) plus a 25% fee from the restaurant where the order was placed. This lessons taught me what I should have known, order directly from the restaurant.
Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.
