Driver didn't deliver - claims they left it at the mail box?
This is a negative star review, it doesn't even deserve a 1 star.
Instruction for the order was to hand deliver the food order wort $$$.00. As I was tracking the order, I finally saw that it was delivered. Then I received a text message from "Casey" identifying themselves as the delivery driver. Casey stated that the food spilled all over the seat of her/his car complaining that the company (GrubHub) doesn't care about their workers (drivers). First off, where is the food, shouldn't delivery drivers care enough to ensure food is not leaking or spilling out before bringing it to their car. If incident happened in their car, shouldn't they first ensure food is secure before starting to drive? I replied to Casey asking where the food was? And What is the solution? No response from Casey, so I could only go to GrubHub to start the process of getting the refund. A nice evening ruined due to an incompetent delivery driver. GrubHub should have gone above and beyond to reorder our food at their expense. I hope Casey does better next time he/she has another food delivery, hope no one else has to fall victim due to Casey's careless and mishandling of the food. This happened in Kaneohe/Kailua Hawaii.

Terrible!

I HAVE NOT HAD ONE GOOD DELIVERY FROM GRUB HUB IN OVER A MONTH. SOMETHING IS ALWAYS MISSING, THE DRIVER KEEPS THE CANCRLED ORDER FOR THEMSELVES. LAST NIGHT A DRIVER TOLD ME HE HAD 4 CANCELED ORDERS IN HIS CAR, THAT IT WAS TOO MUCH FOOD FOR HIM TO KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH. SO EVEN AFTER THEY KNOW ITS CANCELED. THEY PICK IT UP AND KEEP IT. HE TRIED TO GET ME TO PAY HIM FOR FOOD THAT WAS FREE FOR HIM TO KEEP! WTF?! WITH SO MANY PEOPLE OUT OF WORK BC OF COVID19 YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULD TRY TO BE UNDERSTANDING. NOPE. CHARGE YOU FOR THE ORDER. CANCEL THE ORDER. YOU WON'T GET YOUR REFUND FOR 5 BUSINESS DAYS. COOL IT'S SATURDAY AND YA GIRLS POOR RN. THANKS, I CAN WAIT FOR MY 50 BUCKS TO BE RETURNED THURSDAY! BC I'M MADE OF MONEY! I HATE GRUBHUB!

Horrible experience

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. Yelp and EAT24 shop their service out to a 3rd party company- in my case it was DineOnDemand. Once I placed my order at 12:40 I was given a delivery time of 2:15.3:47 rolls along and after being laughed at and talked down to on the phone with one of Yelps customer service reps my order finally arrives. I asked the driver what time he got the call for the order and he showed me on his phone that the order wasn't even called out to him until 1:30- nearly an hour after I placed my order! Unexceptable. I suggest you order directly through services like DineOnDemand instead of dealing with the hassle that EAT24 and Yelp are guaranteed to cause.

Worst experience ever
December 20, 2021

I placed an advanced order at 1pm Friday for a delivery from a high end restaurant for 7pm. At 6:20 Grubhub texted me stating something went wrong and they cancelled my order. They said they refunded my order and sent me an email with details. No details in the email. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager to see if they knew what happened and they apologized and said they do no do take out for Grubhub or any other delivery company on the weekends because they are just too busy.

Why would Grubhub accept my order and my payment knowing this restaurant does not do take out on weekends. I called their customer service and first was told the restaurant ran out of something I ordered so they cancelled it. I told them this was not true, the restaurant had not run out of anything. I was then told that I cancelled the order, again, not true. After speaking to a supervisor, they offered to give me 2 $25 coupons for a future order and would refund my credit card. Looks like my credit card was never charged and the 2 coupons are for minimum $25 orders. So I have to spend at least $25 to use the coupon. How can I trust them after this failed delivery. This was my anniversary and they ruined it.

Wanting to do something nice for our large family of 9 we ordered dinner on Grub Hub for the first time. Due to some kind of malfunction in the App the address changed after I completed the order and our expensive order ($$$) was heading to the wrong address. The contact information for the driver was wrong and I was unable to reach her. I contacted GrubHub. This was all done immediately after our order was placed. The first Customer Service Rep told me he couldn't reach the driver either but assured me that the order would be redirected to our home. Immediately after that conversation the driver marked our order as delivered. To the incorrect address which was a closed business. I called GrubHub back and the new Customer Service Rep told me that they would refund my money but lectured me about not verifying the address (I did) and told me to be thankful for their courtesy. They expect me to be grateful that their app produced an incorrect address that was not in my account and grateful they refunded my money for food and service we did not recieve?! I am absolutely not grateful and will not use this service again.

I ordered at 7pm arrival was at 840pm-850pm. It kept getting extended all the way to 9:25pm. I got text that it will be late once. The time changed to 9pm. LOL. The resturant closed at 8PM. I tracked this girl and she arrived at store at 9:25PM then I got message that the resturant cancelled my order. No this girl never went to pick up my order until 2hrs 25 minutes after it was entered. So I get refund but not for 5 days. I will never order from Grubhub again.! I advise everyone to not do so as well. Thanks *******203 for no food no service your irresponsible behavior and stupidity!

I got 4 text with estimated time for delivery because it kept changing. Food was cold. Other food delivery service much better and not as expensive.

Unless you are in a wheelchair, do not use this service. I ordered for a dinner party. The order was made around 5pm. We didn't get the food until approximately 8pm. After the delivery guy left, we discovered that the order was incomplete. I called immediately and was told that delivery was closed and they could not do anything about it. (At this point, it was only 8:15 on a Saturday.) They were willing to refund the cost of the item they did not deliver and credited us for $6 for delivery. The thing is that WE PAID ALMOST $35 FOR DELIVERY. THE ONLY SERVICE THIS COMPANY PROVIDES IS DELIVERY. The attitude of the customer service person (Leola out of Sacramento) was appalling. Essentially, she said "tough luck". The worst!

I give explicit detailed instructions on how to find my townhome, because the GPS isn't always correct. I give landmarks, I repeat my address and unit number, and I give distinguishing details about my townhome because it has something that no other unit on my street has. I even tell the drivers do not leave until you verify that you have the right address, IE, ring the dang doorbell or knock on the door, and wait until someone opens it before you leave. I have all these detailed instructions, and yet the drivers continually leave my food at the wrong house. The only time I ever get a text from the driver telling me my food has been delivered, is when they deliver it to the RIGHT address, when they deliver it to someone else, I NEVER get a delivery text. I have to find out someone else got my food, via the GrubHub food tracker. It's extremely frustrating because I am disabled and cannot drive to go pick up food, so when my husband is not here I depend a lot on delivery. I tip very well, and I always tip at check out, so the drivers already know they're getting a good tip for me, you would think that that would be some incentive for them to follow instructions. GrubHub either your drivers cannot read, or they deliberately choose not to follow instructions, either way GrubHub, it reflects very poorly on you. I've been a loyal customer for over a year, and am a GrubHub+ member but tonight was the final straw, I will take my business elsewhere. I live in an area where there are multiple food delivery optionsat

Gruhub dies not xate fir their customers. On Sunday May 17th I ordered a meal from one of my favorite restaurants 10 minutes later I get a notification skating the order was canceled because they didn't have the items on their menu that explain to me that they took the items off however GrubHub did my meal was $30 I called GrubHub customer service and the only thing they can tell me why I will get my refund back on my bank account Card 3 to 5 business days in the meantime I'm out of my money and no food and they offered no options as soon as I get my refund I'm deleting my account and I'm through with GrubHub

I would like to say that the customerservice representative Sowmya P was very courteous, and efficient in solving my issues. However, the Restruant refused to give me a refund because the egg fried rice was free because of lunch time menu. However, the egg fried rice was not spicy as I requested had no onions in it and they didnt tell me that I couldnt get onions or that they dont come with onions. My egg fried rice was caked which means stuck together which usually means old rice. I dont care if the items which comes with the lunch special is free it should still taste good and be fresh. If not dont offer it. Im very disappointed in Mr. Chen Authentic Restaurant here in Homewood. Alabama. I give them a -0 for Customerservice and for there food a - 2. Dont order from them because you will not be happy. Im very happy with the results from EAT 24. Thanks Sowmya P. I appreciate you giving me a $5.00 code to use next delivery order and your sincere concern. Thanks so much and keep up the good work. God bless!

I ordered from grubhub because I haven't been able to grocery shop being a stay at home mom of 3. Babysitters are nonexistent right now for me because of COVID. So I ordered my children some Wendy's for dinner at 5:23pm. I kept getting messages from grubhub that my order was on it's way on it's way and then after 7:30pm I get a message saying we cancelled your order. WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO FEED MY CHILDREN NOW? So I decided to try DoorDash and my order is already on the way within 20 minutes! GRUBHUB GET IT TOGETHER and your customer service reps are rude and unsentimental to your customers needs

Horribly Unreliable

I have waited 3 hours for ONE MILKSHAKE. I have waited 2 hours for the wrong order. I have waited 2 hours for cold food, and for food that never came. Absolutely horrendous service.

Do not use Grubhub
November 29, 2021

If I could give it negative stars I would. My account was hacked, and I immediately called the restaurant to let them know. They canceled the order for me, then they tried to cancel with Grubhub and could not get through. When the driver arrived, the restaurant let them know, the order was fraud and they were not going to be completing the order, the driver then tried to call Grubhub as well, and couldn't get through. I tried to call Grubhub and couldn't get through. Even though the order was never picked up and delivered, I was charged over $150. I called Grubhub the next day to get a refund. I have now been waiting over 2 weeks, you cannot talk to anyone that can help, they give you the run around. They keep saying someone will contact you in 24 hours, now it's 48 hours, no one calls. They do not want to give my money back. Door dash is much easier to work with, when canceling orders, I would not use this service. They have no customer service and outsource it to people that can't help.

I had ordered food for my son and I and they went ahead and charge my card and as the delivery driver was getting my food apparently they had a mixup so he canceled my order so I called my bank account and they told me that they indeed charged my food so as I tried to call customer service even spoke to a manager I was told that I've had to wait about five days to get my money back when it took them several seconds to charge my card without delivering food then when I asked is there something they can do they can remake my order and deliver it because that's the only money that I had for my child and I to eat they said there's nothing they can do it's very inconsiderate and horrible that was my last to feed my five-year-old and myself and they went and did that, that is not OK

I put in an order at Italian fiesta and the manager called me due to my notes I indicated to them " to identify which side was pork" that raised a flag for him because he thought the entire pizza was all pork and ground beef when initially on the grub hub site I indicated right side Italian sausage and left side ground beef with garlic on entire pizza. This is an error that needs to be corrected on Grubhub website in their IT department because if I hadn't put the note on there to identify the pork side then I would have had an order that couldn't have been eaten. There are people like myself who have allergies that can be life threatening so I suggest this problem is addressed immediately. This was my first time ordering with Grubhub but, I doubt if I will use their site again until they can fix the glitches on their website. The manager of the Pizzeria was very helpful but, very upset because he says this is not the first time and he was just on the phone with another customer due to the same issue with Grubhub.
