I bought a TV $750, salesman said you can pay for 24 month with No interest No sells Tax, They charged me extra by Fry's credit card, I called that company, they said NO problem, that they will fix it for me, unfortunately not only they did not fix it but also they charged me more for interest and late payment. They do cheating very simple.
Avoid buying from them at all costs. Once you complete your transaction there is zero ability to gain additional information or modify your order after. My order sat "In Processing" for 3 full business days before being marked Partially Back Ordered. There was only one item in the order and once you clicked on the order it showed that item as cancelled. By itself that wouldn't merit removing 4 stars, maybe just 2. It was the fact that the day before I was blatantly lied to by their customer service department who assured me that item was in stock and would ship that day. Okay okay in the age of $#*!ty employers who don't pay a living wage I'll only delete one star for that maneuver. To remedy all of this I wanted to get it verified that any pending charges would be removed from my card I called again and talked to another customer service rep who assured me she would send that in writing. LIES again - sure I got an email but it was a boiler plate email that had no language pertaining to payment. I'll do everything in my power to avoid this company in the future and revel in the slow death they're dying at the hands of modern ecommerce.
I buy online using their promo codes and have had a lot of items that are back ordered with no aprox. Delivery date even though they're being advertised. Recently I placed an order for an item that frys was accepting back orders on and had to call c/s to place it. I wasn't given an order # or date it would be available and told it would expire in 30 days. Two weeks later the same item was on ad again. I phoned cs and was told there there was no record of the order so I bought from the store. Then much later received the online item with no notice and still no record of an order being placed. I've contacted cs and they said they'd make an exception to their return policy and send me a return label, I'm still waiting and will have to contact cs again.
The stores have lots of goodies but you have to know what you want want where it's located and how it works. If your female the most you can usually expect in cs is a wave towards what your looking for after wondering the store.
Online sucks, no reviews of items, limited descriptions,, if there's a problem with an item you pay postage or have to go the manufactures warranty.
Ads are totally misleading with items not available.
A lot of times they do a bait and switch on non-avaible items.
They advertise items without stock. Their promo program really sucks. Only good for the day they set it up.
I love their store and their web site. I always seem to find the lowest prices with Frys. I have had a few problems with items and they always give me a credit towards another purchase...
Online order a TV via Fry's website. Credit card been charged and delivery scheduled been set. However no one delivery; no one contact me for further solutions.
Come-on ads are irritating. Carry lots of good stuff at good prices. Also carry a lot of trash at "good" prices, Warning, never let their service techies touch your computer.
I ordered an item online and had to wait 6 weeks for the item to finally ship. Then I noticed that Fry's accidentally charged the item to my company credit card instead of my personal card. I called CS and asked to refund the initial charge and charge my personal card instead. I was advised that they cannot do that. I will have to return the time and then order it again. What a bunch of bologna! I work in finance, and I know how easy it is to refund a charge and initiate a new sale. So I was hoping to just go to the store and return the item there and be done with it, but noooo. Apparently the store doesn't know what online sales are and cannot accept returns from web orders. I have to actually ship the $19.99 item back at my personal cost and then order it again and have it charged to the correct card. Why making it so complicated? Every other store works in-sync with their online division. Not Fry's. Better purchase at Best Buy, Costco or Target, even at Walmart next time. Fry's is behind the moon with their policies and procedures. Never again!
Beware! No security. If you are a customer here. Please review your order. 1300 stolen from me disputed through Master Card. Takes 90 days to get it back (if you do get it back...)
1. They make it very hard to shop from the Weekly Ad. There is no direct way to pick an item from the Weekly Ad. It seems to allow you to put the item on the list, the theory being that an item on the list can then be added to cart. That does not work. The items on the list are dimmed, and the list is not active - cannot take any form of input. So that process fails to add the item to cart.
2. You can manually type in the item, but it does not show the discount, in the car, until after delivery so you're not seeing if ANY discount is given.
3. You can only check the price you're charged only after you get the receipt, after delivery is completed.
4. Then you have to try to get a refund. If you call customer service, they tell you to try the chat. T
5. The chat is very slow. The agent takes 4 to 5 minutes in responding. They often disconnect you for unobvious reasons. So the chat is almost always useless.
6. Going through a live agent is not any better. You have to repeat your information two, three times and they still can't find it by email or by phone number, they just say, "Sir. I cannot find an account with that information". Then you have to hang up and try again.
7. If you are lucky and get to an agent that is minimally trained and mostly clueless, and repeat three or four times your description of the item and the error, you may get a refund.
8. A refund will take 7 to 10 business days. So the whole process is designed to discourage requesting a refund by making it cumbersome to reach an agent, by chat, or by phone. By slowing the response, and by disconnecting the session. Finally by making the refund take 10 business days.
Great service with lots of current offers. I definitely like it. I recommend it to anyone who wants to shop comfortably.
Came here for a very simple thing. A replacement memory chip for a digital camera since my old one cracked. First I was looking online and saw one for $10, but said was out of stock to try a store. I have one few miles away so why not? BIG MISTAKE! I go into store and first guy I talk to says they don't sell memory cards anymore... what? He says cameras nowadays all use cloud storing and I should just buy a new $2,000 camera... I DONT THINK SO! I knew he was full of crap so I went to find someone else, second guy said yeah they still make the cards, but since my camera is about 6 years old they may or may not make the specific one to fit mine, so he pointed me to the department who knew more and could help me. I like the 2nd guy, he did his job like a competent person. Third guy more or less tried what the 1st guy did, tried to send me off with about $800 in converters and replacement chips, a new phone with camera, etc. At this point I was getting annoyed, and decided to leave completely. However I saw the 2nd guy again and said I didn't have any luck and asked if he knew anything about just anything to help. He took pity on me and looked online for a common SD card that would fit my camera. Turns out the exact one I came for was sitting in the phone section for $15.99! Took that in a heartbeat, and will NEVER EVER EVER return~
Purchased a TV, but then got a defective tv stand. The person that brought refused to give a replacement. I had to call to the store and pick up a new stand.
Very, very nice prices!
And great delivery - everything arrives on time and each item is packaged separately, so everything is just fine.
It's been a while that I don't post, but this deserves a post in capital letter: DO NOT BUY on Frys.com. I placed an order on 11/25/2010, and their system recorded two orders, charged twice, and shipped two packages. When I called them, they told me to refuse the package when it was delivered by USPS. That is what I did on 12/07/2010. It's been a month since I refused the package, and several calls to their customer service number, one email sent through their web site (without response after a week), and I haven't received any refund. Except for the last associate I talked to, they did not seem to care a bit about the problem. Most of them say that I should keep waiting, because it can TAKE MONTHS. One of them said that he would talk to the manager and call me back: HE'S NEVER DONE THAT. Now, after a month of following their directions, they will investigate further without any guarantee whatsoever - yes, it's possible that they will never refund.
I think I've been really spoiled by Amazon.com and other companies that care about their customers and forgot about companies like Frys. Frys clearly doesn't care about their customers, provide a horrible experience, and I will definitely recommend all my friends against buying anything from this company.
They use to have a lot of computer components but not any more. They are not the store they use to be.
I ordered a battery for my HP dv-7. It was back-ordered for weeks. When it arrived it wasn't the right battery. I took it back to my local store. DON'T DO THAT! They said I had to return to fry's.com. I was very busy and couldn't get it done before 30 days so I have no option. The battery is in factory packaging but it is worthless to me.
DON'T ORDER COMPUTER PARTS ONLINE FROM FRY'S!
Excellent products, awesome quality. On time delivery. Can't go wrong. I'm really satisfied with my purchase, thanks
I ordered an item online and received conformation and tracking information. Two days later I receive a cancellation email with no reason and told to call a number. When I call they have no idea why the order was canceled and I should reorder. After being assured my reorder would not be canceled I reordered. Again I receive a conformation email and a tracking number. I received a call from customer service and was told they have the item and will ship it. About an hour later I receive a cancellation for the reorder. I call them again and this time I was told I canceled the orders. I explained that I received cancellation emails from Frys and I did not cancel any order. Again they told me to reorder. I ask for assurance that they would not cancel my the order a third time and again they claimed that they did not cancel the orders but that I canceled them. They said to go ahead and reorder. At that point I responded that you people are to stupid for me to ever order anything from Frys again and hung up. If they can't get an order right after two attempts their is no reason for me to believe they will get it correct after a third time. There are to many other companies for me to continue to accept Frys incompetence..
I went to Fry's in Oxnard to buy a tablet they were not busy couldn't find one I did fine a employee which did not want to help me he was rude he said they were lock up and I asked him if I could see one for security reason he could not show so I left I will never go back there again
Answer: I used to shop at Fry's when I was in the United States and I now live in China and have actually visited a factory where some of the Beats products are manufactured. Fry's products are all genuine products. During my 5+ years of shopping at Fry's, they have always given me excellent service and refunded my purchase price if ever I needed to make a return. If want FAKE products then try a famous auction web site, some no-name web sites with lots of bad English grammar and too-good-to-be-true prices shipped from Asia. Alternatively, you could book a flight to Shenzhen, China and I could introduce you to many Beats counterfeits. Fry's is a great place to shop and I highly recommend them for good price and quality products. I hope you enjoy your new Beats headphones when you finally get them.
Answer: Do not get anything from them! Horrible experience
Answer: Yes, common over bro
