I placed an order for two bedside tables in March 2016. Because I didn't check the different colors, I immediately sent an email (it was a sunday night) to make the color change. The following Tuesday (2 days after) I receive a shipment notice of the wrong color. I called and was told that the customer service had "too many emails and thus did not have time to read mine". When I asked what I should do, they told me to place a second order (which I paid for) and reject the initial one so that I can get my money back on the first wrong order. Which I did.
I had to wait 1 1/2 month to get my money back. I called maybe 20 times (Sofia).
Then, I did not understand why the second order I made was not being sent... I called (again) and was told that "the buying department had not yet ordered to the manufacturer the table" (it was stated as "in stock" on the website).
Now, we are May 24th (2 1/2 months later), I received one out of two bedside tables two weeks ago and never got the second one. I called and emailed customer service many times but nothing is being done. I am sure that the community manager of Ambiente DIrect will try to post a comment bellow mine saying that "they are aware blablabla and they are doing the best they can to get my money back" but please be aware: IT IS A SCAM! When you call them they litterally hang up on you because they have too many things to do, and they delay everything to get your money back!

I have never been so disgusted by an online company. This company is a total joke. They do not respond to emails. Everyone in their shipping department must be on drugs or drunk because from what I experienced and from what other online reviews have stated, 99.9% of everything that ships out from them is either 6 months late, broken upon arrival, missing merchandise or never shipped out at all. If this is the case, good luck getting them to reply to you. They simply don't care. Apparently there are enough new customers dumb enough to buy something from them that they continue to get new orders and are still in business. I ordered two expensive light fixtures back in November and the idiot that packaged my order put one in the box and then labeled it as containing two. Now, over 3 months after contacting them about the mistake, I am still banging my head against a wall trying to get them to send me the second one. They finally agreed to, only to respond a few days later and tell me that all of a sudden it isn't compatible for use in the US even though the one I received is working just fine. Then, when I asked them why all of a sudden this was the case they stopped responding. What has now sent me totally over the edge is that on Facebook there are photos of people that work at this joke of a company partying and baking cookies. Seriously? Perhaps that's why no one consistently answers emails. They have more important things to do, like bake cookies. I really, really wish that I had googled them and read their reviews before I ordered anything...
At least they are on Facebook and it's gratifying to know that I can continue to leave public comments online and on their Facebook wall in the hopes that perhaps they'll fix the issue and if not, at least over time perhaps I will succeed in warning others not to buy from them.

I ordered products from Ambiente direct on the 29.01.2015 and paid over 1680€ in advance to get the 3% discount. They happily took my order and the order number was ******* and after I paid the number seem to have changed to AB*******.
They told me delivery time was going to be 2-3 weeks. I tried to contact Ambiente direct thru countless e-mails and phonecalls but never got any respons.
14.05.2015 they finally responded saying that one product is not available anymore and the wondered how to proceed. I sent an e-mail saying that I want to cancel my whole order and I want my money back. The next day Mai Nguyen from ambiente direct responded saying that they have cancelled my order and I will get a full refund within 14 days. Still no money!
I wrote a review to site jabber about the company and in the beginning of july 2015 Christine D responded to me to this site on site jabber saying that her colleague Mai Nguyen is taking care of my refund and I will get my money back asap.
It's now 03.08.2015 and I still haven't recieved my refund.
I want to warn other people to never order anything from this site. They never return your e-mails or phone calls and they don't send your products to you and if you are stupid enough to pay them in advance like I did, they will never give you a refund. Only empty promises. Plese warn your friends about this site too.

Unreliable logistic, unreliable return policy, unreliable customer service. They neglect their customers.
We bought a sleeping-sofa, paid almost 800, it said on the website it would be delivered in 3 weeks. After 3 weeks we didn't hear anything. Tried to reach them, but that turned out to be very difficult, by phone and by email. Finally after 1 week someone wrote if we could please send them the order information. We did. It took again days and then they asked more info on the order. It seemed the order was lost? But looking back, this is just a way to make people waiting; they get so tired of it and drop the whole thing or to make everything so blurry that in the end you dont know anymore how it went. Anyway they said now it would be delivered in 2 more weeks. It didnt. Tried to reach them again. After some days we finally got someone on the phone who promised it would be there in 2 more weeks again... Nothing delivered. We tried to reach them, which this time again by phone was impossible, no one picked up. After sending a bunch of emails for some days, finally we received an email saying that they 'had to order the sofá somewhere else, be cause they didn't have it in stock and asking if we wanted to have 10% discount'. We wrote them we want to immediately cancel the order and get our money back. If not, we would take legal action. After few days they wrote our order was cancelled and we would get our money back. When I asked for a proof of that, they just wrote we have to wait a few days and get our money back, meaning today or tomorrow. Today there is nothing on our account, so it will probably be tomorrow... In the meantime we already took legal action. If the money is not there tomorrow we continue procedure and go after them. What a shame this 'company' its amazing it can keep on existing, just like that, a bunch of thiefs.
Same experience, as others, placed an order and no product and no responce. Next is to call to bank to cancel the transfer.

15 december 2 stoelen besteld daarna 1 grote ramp. Ze waren op voorraad maar na 4 weken waren ze er nog steeds niet. Toen ze er eindelijk waren bleken het 2de hands stoelen te zijn. Stof was overal beschadigd. Manier van vervoeren was ook niet goed, alleen in een plastic en een doos erover waardoor ook bij vervoer de stoelen beschadigen. Ze vragen nu of ik de dozen naar het postkantoor wil brengen. Hoe dan? Zijn zwaar en groot, past niet in een normale auto. Email hierover gestuurd maar nog steeds geen antwoord. Inmiddels 7 weken verder en nog geen eetkamerstoelen :(
I ordered a sofa that was ready to ship. A week later having had no news except for a reciept of payment i tired emailing a dozen times with no reply except for an automatic response. Finally I was able to get someone over the phone who denied I had paid when i had a reciept of payment from them. This person said my reciept was fake. Then said my item was not in stock. When I insisted obviously, this person hung up on me. After all the email attemps, failed calls I had been hung up on? I then called again as I had been debited half the total amount 600 Euros to see what solution they would come up with. The person on the other end of the line told me they had been answering my emails but they were probably in my junk box. TOTAL LIES. Since my item was not in stock and i had guests arriving she offered to find something similar and ready to ship. I agreed and asked for an email record of our conversation. She said she would handle it all and had everything on file. I begrudgingly hung up the phone. GUESS WHAT? I have not had a follow up. NO EMAILS. NOT PROOF OF NEW PURCHASE. NO CANCELATION OF OLD ORDER. NOTHING. NEVER EVER EVER EVER ORDER FROM THESE CROOKS

Ce site est vraiment incroyable. Ils ne répondent jamais aux mails. Ils demandent même de vérifier des commandes en proposant des virements avec remise de 3% alors que j'ai déjà payé par carte bancaire... On a l'impression d'un site fantôme... je ne sais toujours pas quand je vais recevoir mes produits.
Considérant les avis des autres clients qui se sont exprimés sur ce site, je suis très inquiet sur le délai, mais aussi sur la conformité des produits commandés!
Ware am 5.5. Bestellt (natürlich "am Lager") bis heute nichts erhalten. Keinerlei Antwort auf Nachfragen via email - bis ich dann via Facebook mal ein bischen gepostet habe... und siehe da, nach nur 5 Minuten kommt eine email, die mir erklärt, die Ware sei leider nicht am Lager! Ich habe dann sofort meine Bestellung storniert und denen 10 Arbeitstage Zeit gegeben, mir die geleistete Zahlung zu erstatten. Mal sehen, ob das auch passiert.! Setzt diese Bude unter Druck und postet auf deren Facebook-Seite und allen Bewertungsportalen!
Ich habe am 27.9. Ein Bett bestellt, nachdem mir telefonisch zugesagt wurde, dass es SOFORT lieferbar ist. Die sofortige Lieferung war der Grund, warum ich hier bestellt habe. Die Lieferung sollte am 30.9. Erfolgen. Gut, ging nicht. Dann am 4.10. Doch auch am 4.10. War noch keine E-Mail wie versprochen da, die bestätigte, dass das Bett das Lager verlassen hat. Am 4.10. Bekam ich einen Anruf, dass man nun auf eigene Kosten eine Expresslieferung veranlassen wolle. Als Liefertermin wurde Mi, 5.10. Zwischen 12.00 und 14.00 Uhr zugesagt, Am nächsten Tag 12.00 (!) kam dann eine Mail, dass der bestellte Artikel defekt sei und kein zweiter vorrätig sei. Bei meine telefonischen Nachfrage erfuhr ich aber, dass meine Kreditkarte bereits belastet wurde, obwohl kein Kaufvertrag - Geld gegen Ware, zustande gekommen ist. Die Dame am Telefon meinte, es stünde aber in den AGB, dass bereits vor dem Versand die Abbuchung erfolgt. Steht nicht in den AGB, denn das ist weder üblich noch seriös. Aber es kommt noch besser. Man wisse auch nicht, ob der Betrag rückerstattet werden könne, denn ich hätte als Kundin keine schriftliche Bestätigung erhalten, dass die Ware tatsächlich verfügbar sei! Unglaublich. Bei anderen Shops sind auch die Kundenberater in solch einem Fall kulant. Hier nicht. Ich muss nun alles schriftlich einreichen und die Vorgesetzen müssen entscheiden, ob das Geld rückerstattet wird. Unprofessioneller und kundenunfreundlicher Shop. Never again.

J'ai commandé des luminaires en avril sur ce site et fin août 2015 je n'avais toujours pas été livré. Injoignables par téléphone ou par mail. J'attends vainement d'être remboursé...

I posted a review on this site about Ambiente direct and then Christine D. Answered me that her colleague Mai is taking care of my case and I get my refund asap. Today is 17.07.2015 and still no refund. This is just the worst company ever! I did expect a German company to be trustworthy but no. Tell everyone not to have anything to do with these people!
Answer: The way I finally was able to get my issue was resolved was through messaging them on their Facebook page. I had ordered two light fixtures and was short shipped only one. After bringing up the mishap to them and getting no response, then filing a charge-back which was reversed because of the tracking number for the single light fixture that I was shipped I started reaching out to them on Facebook and after pestering them for a couple of months via Facebook they finally refunded me my money. Their Facebook admin was actually quite responsive. I would never order anything from this company again. It was a nightmare to deal with them. Good luck!
