Never give your credit card details to Ambiente Direct. They take your money for nothing: they don't have stock on items they claim to have on hand, charge full amount straight away and have no customer care. Well, same here: they claim to have one but never answer emails, no one picks up phone and subscribed letters get refufed. Think the comp got busted but they try to collect as much money as they can before disappearing. Called my lawyer and hope to ever see my money back.
I order Constanza/Luceplan floor lamp on 8th July as a wedding gift, because I have many good experiences of AmbienteDirect, quick delivery, nothing to complain.

We recently ordered a Arne Jacobsen floor lamp from this company.( a bit of a risk as we live in Australia) On arrival the lamp base was both dented and scratched which was strange as there was no damage to the packaging. We can only assume that the light was already damaged before it was sent. Ambient have not responded to our emails regarding our concerns and therfor we can only assume they were complicit in sending us a damaged product.
We also had to wait 4weeks for new stock to arrive even though their site indicated the product was in stock
I first enquired about a sofa back in April. There service at that time was extremely poor. One person would say it is available and they would place the order, then a month later it hadn't been placed after i chased them only to be told i couldn't order it. Then months later i finally placed the order. Today is November 25th, so 7 months later, it arrives and is the wrong material and colour. Unbelievable quite how useless their service is. There furniture is nice but certainly not worth the pain. Stay very clear and i only wished i'd checked out reviews earlier.\
I ordered two summer chairs to Finland on 10th of May (10 weeks ago!) and I have received nothing. The reason I used this company was the previous good experience in 2013 - because of the latest experience It is impossible to order anything from them. I am really afraid of losing appr. 350 euros. I have also asked them to send my money back, but got no answering to my emails/requests.

I ordered a light which Ambient Direct claimed was in stock. They deducted my card and then contacted me to say that they didn't have my address. I sent my address and also pointed out that my address features on the invoice that they sent to me. Ambient Direct don't bother to reply to emails, but they did contact me again, asking again for my address. They have not sent my light and I have asked for a refund (many times), they ignore my emails. It feels like they have scammed me out of my money. At best they are a company with woeful service at worst they are cheating scam artists. Do not waste your money with this dreadful company!

I have ordered (#*******) and paid last year (December a bit more than 1300€), and it wasn't delivered. AlI I got is bunch of excuses.The company is almost impossible to reach, they are not answering email or picking up phone. So I canceled order more than a week ago (10th of April). Despite promise of refund I have not got any money back.
Order*******. Ordered a light. Wrong one was despatched and it was broken. Notified the company by email. Took 3 days to get a response, in the end I had to phone them to try and sort it out. Was told that they were aware of my complaint, but that they had been too busy to reply to me! After several more exchanges with 2 members of staff there was mention of sending out a replacement part, but nothing further heard and I have informed them that I want a total refund (as I am legally entitled to receive) and they can arrange for their light to be collected. That was 4 days ago and nothing further heard. I have never had a problem with an Internet purchase until now and cannot believe that an online retailer can be so bad at communication with customers. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE APPALLING. I will be taking legal action if no refund processed very soon.
Our expensive product was damaged but they take no responsibility at all and whatever you try, you cant get anyone on the line nor answering mails.

To be avoided. Information on the website is not reliable or even misleading. The items with on stock status are not available. Client service is poor. Recovery of your money is very difficult. You may always complain on them to the http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/ecc/index_en.htm or http://www.verbraucherzentrale.de/en/index.php. If a lot of people will complain maybe they will change their policy.
Terrible. Did not deliver full order and despite repeated e mails they have failed to take responsibility so we now have two lamps without their bases. They hide behind their 14 day window for contacting them. Tough luck if you're on holiday when the delivery happens.
11 months later after being told by Ambiente Direct customer services that the issues I had over the delivery of the lights should not have happened and that they would contact Fascarini and Kundalini to obtain the light bases that I did not receive, I am still waiting. Ambiente Direct claim that they have a Kundalini base in the warehouse and in September sent me an order confirmation for it. Since then they have told me that the item is on its way, it has never arrived. With the Foscarini base, they claim that Foscarini do not reply to their emails. I find this hard to believe.
Foscarini and Kundalini - if you see this review, all I want are the bases that should have come with my order. Unfortunately normal people cannot contact you and I'm left dealing with Ambiente direct who do not do the job they are paid to do.
I never received the order I palced in May. After months of trying to contact the company in every form, I never had a response. Eventually, I asked the credit card company to process a charge back. When this was processed, Ambiente Direct sent me their one and only email to inform me they had cancelled the order due to receiving a charge back. I can now at least order the item from a reputable, non-scam company.

I was very excited when I decided to order a Tom Dixon copper shade pendant light online from ambientedirect.com, I placed an order on the 16.09.2015.
On the company website, ambientedirect.com, they clearly state that the delivery time of this product is one week.
After one week of waiting and never receiving any email or tracking information I decided to contact ambientedirect.com and ask them if my order had been shipped.
Then I was told that according to information they had from the manufacturer the product I ordered would be delivered to them mid of october and that I should rest assured that they would do their outmost to send the product to me as soon as it arrived.
Now in the end of october I have not gotten any information about my order.
I have tried sending a couple of emails and never gotten any response!

I had to give one star because there is no facility to give negative ratings. After battling with this appalling company I eventually got my money refunded by my credit card provider. However three years on i am still receiving invoices requesting payment for good that were never supplied. Communications go unanswered and its like hitting ones head against a brick wall. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!
Ordered a very expensive replacement Italian glass lampshade that I was unable to find in the USA. The Ambiente invoice indicated the 36cm lamp shade was sent (which is the one I ordered); the 26cm lamp shade was shipped instead and doesn't fit my lamp. I have emailed several times and only received the automated response that they would be in touch in 24 to 48 hours. They have never responded to me about making this order right. I finally called my credit card company to file a dispute against this vendor. I was told I had to return the order (with a tracking number) and then they could file the dispute. The cost to return this glass lamp shade via USPS was over $60.00. Do not do business with this outfit - the hassle isn't worth it!

Answer: My order number is AB00006347 and I ordered my products 29.01.2015. 3 months later they finally respond to my countless e-mails and tell me one of the products is not available anymore and was wondering what to do about my order. I told them that I want to cancel my order and want a full refund, since I also paid my purchase in advance. A person called Mai Nguyen returned my e-mail on 14.05.2015 saying that they have cancelled my order and I will get a refund within 14 days. I posted a review on this site about Ambiente direct and then Christine D. Answered me that her colleague Mai is taking care of my case and I get my refund asap. Today is 17.07.2015 and still no refund. This is just the worst company ever! I did expect a German company to be trustworthy but no. Tell everyone not to have anything to do with these people!
Answer: The way I finally was able to get my issue was resolved was through messaging them on their Facebook page. I had ordered two light fixtures and was short shipped only one. After bringing up the mishap to them and getting no response, then filing a charge-back which was reversed because of the tracking number for the single light fixture that I was shipped I started reaching out to them on Facebook and after pestering them for a couple of months via Facebook they finally refunded me my money. Their Facebook admin was actually quite responsive. I would never order anything from this company again. It was a nightmare to deal with them. Good luck!
