I ordered an expensive item from this company and after waiting to be contacted eventually contacted them only to be given a curt, unhelpful reply. They are listing items that appear to be in stock but are not, in fact, held by the company, with delivery dates that have no bearing on the actual delivery date given at the point of sale.

With no follow-up communication, this is extremely bad practice, both is selling items they do not have, and in the poor level of response to customer enquiries. After all these years in business you would think that they would have good customer service setup to a fine art by now. It makes good business sense even if they don't actually care about their customers.

We thought we would give this place a try as it had a lot of good reviews (we hadn't checked the bad reviews at that point). The food came in plastic containers, with the average small plastic tray being well over £10 for a main. The food itself was average or below average for Glasgow and gave us both food poisoning (vomiting and the other) and the response from the staff was to ignore our emails.

Tip for consumers:
There are much better restaurants in Glasgow with better customer service. This one gave us food poisoning and they ignored our emails

Appalling food delivery service. They don't respond to complaints and do not care about customers. We've had a number of problems with this restaurant chain in Glasgow and all to do with awful customer service. They delivered food to us early today and left it on our doorstep in the pouring rain.

Tip for consumers:
AVOID. Any restaurant chain that doesn't even acknowledge a complaint about service clearly does not care about you as a person, only your money

  • Plandemicseries

A truly excellent website with two of the most important documentaries of our time that visitors can watch for free, revealing the hoax and global scandal that the COVID-19 'plandemic' is. Why there aren't thousands of positive reviews on this website I'll never know. Probably for the same reason so many people have fallen for the deception and lies and run out and gotten the injection.

The man behind the website is clearly a person of integrity, and his interviewees are of a similar calibre. They represent the censored voices of sanity and reason in an age that has lost its mind to the psychopaths and narcissists that run this world now.

Visit the website, watch the films and help support and encourage people of common sense to spread the good in the world before the forces of darkness take over completely.

  • Amazon UK

I've complained to Amazon twice now about their drivers opening our front door without permission to leave parcels in our hallway, without even ringing the door bell! Once again today, another one of their deliver drivers did the same, even after I'd written a complaint about the same driver. This isn't a communal building, but a detached house. Not sure what kind of training these guys get, but basic common sense and intelligence would tell anyone this isn't the right thing to do. Despite repeated 'assurances' Amazon customer services don't seem to make any difference to the problem.

Tip for consumers:
Make sure you're front door is locked as Amazon may just want to wander into your house without warning!

PROS: Bought a contract phone with this company and so far they have been good with customer services, delivery etc. So unusual to get decent service these days.

CONS: Chat support not the best, but phone support was excellent. Refund on an item has been extremely slow and I've had to chase them for it twice.

Tip for consumers:
When ordering an iPhone ignore their advice at checkout that says 'Apple don't supply a charger'. Apple do supply a charging cable with their phones, they just don't supply the plug. You can end up adding accessories to your order that you don't need. Then having to face the ultra slow refund process.

I ordered a phone from this company and, apparently even though I passed the credit check, they cancelled my order "for security reasons". No information is offered for the cancellation, once again the excuse being "for security reasons".

Tip for consumers:
Don't risk a credit check when dealing with these people. They decline orders that have passed a credit check and don't give any reason. It also means that your credit score may be affected because they ran the check in the first place. Time wasters.

This site seems to have been set up without permission from the businesses they list in their directory. Listings contain inaccurate information and reviews for businesses seem to have been copied from other websites and published falsely rather than being written by genuine customers.

Tip for consumers:
Be careful using this business listing website - it does not appear to be legitimate

  • Vodafone

12/3/18

I signed up with Vodafone broadband and was surprised to find that everything went smoothly, with any technical problems sorted out on the phone in 20 minutes. So far so good.

UPDATE: Finally ended my contract with Vodafone and it turned out to be a. Nightmare. No service for three months and a total of five hours on the phone to sort that out (it was never sorted). I repeatedly asked for a termination of contract when all the tech solutions they offered failed. I eventually got a human being on the phone who could see the pages and pages of chat history and granted the contract closure. Awful company in a marketplace full of awful companies.

Tip for consumers:
I don't recommend Vodafone

A quick and easy review site to use and the reviews seem genuine. Will definitely be using the site regularly

Mybuilder.com continues to promote traders who don't use their site any longer and who rip off the public. I recently read of someone else who was taken to the cleaners by the same roofer I hired (Patrick Donaghy of Castlemilk in South Glasgow). He more or less did the same with me (stole money) but mybuilder.com still promotes his name and reviews in their advertising. Other traders who are active and have 100% feedback on tMybuilder.com profiles are arrogant, over-priced and rude e.g. Oliver Phin, tiler in Glasgow.

The culture amongst the trades in the UK is abysmal these days and the level of arrogance, entitlement and greed amongst tradespeople now makes looking for someone decent and reliable a painful, risky experience. Mybuilder only adds misery to the process by being only concerned with their profits rather than changing the culture so that it is fairer for customers. I'd never trust the recommendations of the mybuilder site again.

Tip for consumers:
I honestly wouldn't use the site. It is full of cowboys who work to low standards and will rip you off.

  • Scottish Labour Party

11/11/18

An utterly useless political party whose MPs don't even reply to letters. No wonder the Conservatives keep getting in instead.

  • Slaters

11/11/18

This is probably the best men's clothing shops I've ever used. Fantastic service and great value for money. A broad selection of stock too. Faultless.

  • Ekhart Yoga Online Yoga Classes And Courses

11/11/18

I had a really bad experience with this website and would not recommend it to anyone serious about yoga. One of the tutors I used is seriously dodgy in her thinking.

  • Facebook

11/5/18

Facebook (I refer to is as 'Facetube') has to be one of the most frustrating websites to use. They even keep you from logging in unless you post a profile photo. Why anyone would want to post intimate details about their lives online when it is now well-established that Facebook is basically a data collection point for intelligence agencies is beyond me. But hell, some people still smoke, so what the hey... go hog wild...

  • Toolstation

I've spent many thousands of pounds at Toolstation over the years and have brought that custom to an end after my experience with Toolstation Parkhead in Glasgow. The most unhelpful service I've ever encountered, and deliberately obstructive and officious attitude from the middle-aged woman who serves there, The young, fat bloke is no better in terms of his lack of basic courtesy. Thankfully, Screwfix is right next door, so they'll be getting my money from now on.

Thinking it was maybe just this branch that was a problem, I emailed Toolstation to close my account (after over a decade of purchases) and to tell them why I wouldn't be buying from them any more. The response was to ignore my complaint and respond to the account closure with complete disinterest. Clearly, the way this company is being run is bad from top to bottom.

Tip for consumers:
Rude, obstructive staff at the Parkhead Branch

  • Bassdirect

10/27/18

I've bought a a few things from bassdirect but have stopped due to the friction experienced in dealing with them. Too much personality gets in the way of your transactions, so it's just easier to shop elsewhere

  • Laser

10/27/18

An excellent company with great prices, friendly staff and a helpful attitude towards their customers. Will definitely use them again

  • Edinburgh Woollen

10/27/18

Great quality and reasonable - although sometimes slightly high - prices. Ordering and returns were very easy with no hassle at all.

  • Indeed UK

10/27/18

This is a good job vacancies website that we use when we're looking to hire for our small business. Simple to use and a good response rate. Will use again.
