Evri failed to deliver three days in a row

Yet another disappointing and fruitless experience with Evri, who on three consecutive days failed to deliver my parcel despite posting photos of the end of my driveway on their website. All the delivery driver needed to do was walk a few steps up my driveway to deposit the parcel in my porch ad per my preference. I'm not sure how much easier it could have been, so why FAIL THREE TIMES
Evti incompetence is beyond belief Is there an award for this?

I don't normally write reviews, but my repeated experience with Evri (formerly Hermes) has pushed me to speak out. For two consecutive days, Evri failed to deliver a parcel to my address — a hospital with a 24-hour reception. There was no explanation provided, no attempted contact, and no accountability. The tracking simply updated with "We were unable to deliver your parcel." How can a professional delivery company fail to deliver to a hospital that is literally staffed around the clock? This is not an isolated incident. I've lived in the UK for over 10 years, frequently moving between England and Scotland, and every time a parcel is handled by Evri, it ends in frustration. Missed deliveries, lost packages, cryptic updates, no way to reach a real human being — it's a constant pattern of failure. And it's not just me. A quick search online reveals thousands of similar horror stories: parcels left in the rain, thrown over fences, or simply marked as delivered when they never arrived. More disturbing are multiple allegations of animal abuse from whistleblowers and ex-employees, including reports of drivers leaving live animals in hot vans or throwing them during delivery. If this is how they treat living beings, it's no wonder our parcels arrive damaged or not at all. It's beyond unacceptable. I now make a point to check which courier a retailer uses before purchasing — if it's Evri, I will not buy. I refuse to support any company that outsources its logistics to such a consistently incompetent and ethically questionable service. Evri: change your name all you want — the reputation remains the same. Utterly unreliable, unaccountable, and unworthy of trust.

Evri had my parcel, all going well at 10 am, by 3pm it was damaged beyond repair, i m still yet to have any news if its coming back or not, as at 4pm they close the options of dealing with a human. Vinyl records, with FRAGILE ON EVERY CORNER? Not the 1st time, only 3 months ago they damaged irreplaceable WEDGEWOOD CROCKERY, a wedding gift that can never be replaced. On top of that, a courier decided to leave a stereo ordered from me, underneath a heavy stone garden ornament, completely smashing the contents, on this occasion, the buyer had previous experience of damaged goods, and could not face going through the channels of re imbursement, which i totally understand. On top of that, the last, at least 8 labels i purchased online, ready to print at my local store, did not get an emailed bar-code. When raising the issue, i would get--SORRY YOUR PARCEL IS ON THE WAY, or some other irrelevant nonsense. If i had the option, there would be no stars. Just joined Yodel, last night, at 23.05, managed to speak with a human in under a minute, on a Sunday, so have today joined up, not only are they cheaper, they are contactable, and even offer free insurance up to £50 unlike Evri s £20... Shipping a parcel, avoid this company, not only for the incompetent couriers, customer service, even when available, very poor..

The entry standards for drivers for this company must be to simply hold a license. Absolutely terrible service from the EVRI delivery person/driver. My parcel was delivered to a full garbage bin, on the pavement outside my house in the dark, that was out for collection the next morning - on a street full of bins. The ramp leading from the gate up to my front door must have been deemed too much of a challenge ( though I can manage with my wheelchair). Once my carer arrived the next morning, the bins had already been emptied… I complained to the seller, and was bounced back to EBay, who in turn, directed me back to the seller. And a vicious circle ensued.
To be fair - the seller did their job.
I get that. But EVRI the courier they used, did not.
Bottom line is- because it was tracked to outside my house, on my street, I have been refused a refund or replacement.
So my £65 is gone….!
I even left my porch door open.
The pavement of a public highway is not the address on the package.
And the bin was not even numbered…
So going forward if the courier is EVRI I won't order.
I strongly suggest you don't either.
As a rule I don't gamble, but occasionally I may put the lottery on.
My rule is "only gamble what you can afford to lose".
If you use EVRI… it's a gamble whether to see the goods or your money again….!

Terrible service

What a terrible company. Sent a parcel 06/01/2025. The parcel just kept saying on the app. Parcel is on it's way. This went on for two weeks. I contacted customer service more than 7 times about my missing parcel. Kept getting an email saying that they are looking into it and that they really care. I was promised twice that it was going to be delivered on certain days. This did not happen. After 4 weeks of not being able to provide any information to where the parcel was. They told me to put a claim in. This was done on the 02/02/2925. I have still not received my claim, and now when I go online. It says that there is a technical issue and try again this is the 4th day saying this. Also, no response to any of my messages anymore. (Please be assured that every parcel and every customer is really important to us) I think not. Two months and still no outcome. No:C00HHA*******636

Worst company i have ever had a parcel delivered by. I actually think it is the current driver who is too lazy to bring the package to the door or he has too many parcels to deliver ina day and cannot cope ao just dumps the packages because its quicker. We never had any problems with any of the previous drivers who have always been polite and have delivered to the door. I am retired, so I am always in so there is no excuse for him not to bring it to the door. He does not even ring the bell He just leaves them outside of the gates where passes by can just pick up the packages and walk off with them it is also a busy area with a school and an industrial estate close by and cars turn around in the area where the parcels are left so it is very easy for them to be stolen, we have put a sign up advising not to leave parcels there but the driver still leaves parcel there. Maybe he cannot read because he even took a picture of the parcel next to the sign that says do not leave parcels here and that was their proof of delivery. Unbelievable! Today he excelled himself he managed to throw it through the gap in the bars in the gate and onto the floor….still not safe and could be taken by anyone, luckily my neighbour was coming into the gates straight after and saw the parcel otherwise it could've been pushed into the hedges when the gate was opened by the car remote and would not have been seen…. This is beyond a joke. Going forward, I will be avoiding buying from companies that use evri and I will be sharing this on all my social media platforms.

These thieves are covering for their courier and trying to convince me that the parcel was simply delivered to the wrong address. BUT I WENT TO THE ADDRESS ON THE SAME DAY, SAW THE PARCEL, AND SPOKE TO THE RESIDENT, IT DOES NOT HAVE MY NAME ON IT! They refuse to take responsibility, haven't even fired the courier, and he's still out there stealing other people's parcels. IT WAS A GIFT FOR MY CHILD!

It's been 28 days since I filed my claim, and they are ignoring my emails! ANSWERD A FEW TIMES THAT THEY ARE VERY SORRY.🤣Absolutely disgusting service! Never use them!

Don't trust this company

Not trustful shipping company
I have sent a package to Germany with priority as it was a gift, it took forever to reach Germany, more than 10 days, when supposed to reach in 3 working days, then was returned to me without any explanation and my niece never got to see her present for her birthday. Please don't trust this company as you never know what can happen to your package

They said my parcels were delivered, but when I looked for them, I found that one of the expensive items was missing. They said they delivered it and sent me a picture showing that they left my parcel on the floor behind the street door instead of handing it over to the flat number or a flat member. Now, there is no accountability, and they don't care about customers' parcels. Poor company, poor service, and rubbish.

I am Awaiting a parcel from Amazon supplier, supposed to be delivered yesterday. Receive notice that they are waiting further address information. This seems strange as a parcel from a different supplier was delivered to me, in my hand by an Evri driver, at this address yesterday...
Tried to contact Evri - no chance! It is only possible to communicate via a message board or a chatbot. Both of these options lead you around in circles. Left a review on another review website only to receive a reply telling me to go back to the same bot or answering machine that had sent me around in circles already. This reply also promised a reply within 24 hours - it has now been 32 hours since they sent me an "enquiry incident number"
My experience with Evri when they were Yodel was always poor and their service levels have not changed with a cosmetic re-branding

Waited in all day and no sign of them. Then received an email stating their driver had "missed us" I have a ring doorbell to prove they haven't been here. Cancelled the high value item with Pro Direct and will get a refund. If I knew they were using Evri I would never have bought from them. This is the third time this company has lied and stolen my parcels. Why any company use them is beyond me.

Low IQ's
It seems to me that Evri's recruitment policy is that they are taking people on with low IQ's and training them down.
In the space of a week the winkle spanners have lost two parcels, the first one disappeared into thin air and the second parcel was just dumped on a door step to house that has no one living in it.
Over the years I have numerous parcels go missing with Evri/Hermes, not acceptable.
So Evri if you are reading this bad review, you can rest assure, I am now going to make your life's a misery starting with your drivers by investing whether they are all road legal, by having business car insurance and I won't stop there.

This is one of the worst Couriers I've experienced. My parcel was to be delivered on the 11th no show then the 12th no show then 13th they said attempted delivery and it was untrue 3 cameras will show otherwise they even put a blank picture to show they attempted. Then it was being delivered on the 14th and again no show. After half a dozen messages they admitted they had lost my 4ft long parcel how? I'm currently £300 down because of this companies negligence. I don't know how they keep trading. Their communication is terrible normally 2 days late in replying. I can't warn people enough. This is the second parcel this courier has lost and stole from me.

Six deliveries six fails

Evri have delivered to me on 6 occasions, they chose on all occasions to dump the parcels downstairs (I am 2 floors up in the flats) they never knocked my door or buzzed the entry door they just dumped took a photo and left it there
Three times they were missing 3 times they were resent where I was watching the app closely I rescued 2 of them, all this despite being promised by Evri that it will never happen again they even had words with the driver but no he just dumps them
Looking on the review sites you see lots of similar reports of wrong addresses safe places ignored dumped in the street, the list is huge. Unfortunately, this now means I won't buy from any company that uses Evri as the courier. I did try to get a supplier to give options for delivery, they refused BTW these were orders from Temu and Ali express. I did feel a bit sorry for customer service agents I could sense their frustration I literally spent hours trying to sort the mess out Ali express expect the customer to gather evidence and provide documentation that Evri don't even have I could go on a lot longer, but I think this will give folk enough of an idea of how they perform
Below is a picture of where they dumped all of my parcels, to date I haven't had anything from my last order which makes me £30 odd out of pocket

I should recive my parcel delivered to parcelbox. Parcel box I went at the day one QR code was invalid. I went next following day the same. I have been told parcel had been collected as I never picked up? Another advisor told me parcel was to big and never been in parcel box that's why I couldn't collect. I send about 20 messages via chat and zero solution to resove the issue.
I offer to collect from depot or deliver to my home adress as I already changed to parcelbox and can't change again.
Today I been told they send my parcel back.
I will refuse to buy anything if evri will be delivering company. No driver tracking nothing. I requested 5 callbacks,

Firstly Evri I think Evri is good company but your reputation is not enza the robot is useless can't get thou to real person you get the run around good percentage of bad reviews is not your fault but the courier you employ my courier 🤨 GARY puts parcels outside of door and takes picture check it / if stolen headache for the customer receiveing it puts made up reasons in pda not to delivery my parcel was due yesterday 11.30 to 1pm then GARY updated. Pda unable to deliver as he has don previously delivered one parcel across the street I had to go get as I've had stoke was effort now due to Gary I have no tracking no clue where my item is had to click parcel shop in hope he can make it to bottom floor without clicking porky on pda please pass this to ceo first get rid of enza the useless robot / secondly get decent couriers to deliver and give people the opportunity to speak to real people

Evri are incapable at delivering in Flats or Apartment buildings. They make no effort to buzz to be let in and just see a flat and walk off and claim they couldn't deliver that day...awful awful service

Damaged and lost item

My item I posted has been lost and damaged. There is absolutely no way you can speak to a human. They eventually sent me a link to make claim - the page doesn't even work so I can't do that. The automated chat is next to worthless. Im waiting for a refund before I go to Trading Standards and Small Claims court.

We live on a farm at the end of a long drive every other carrier is able to deliver without a problem Evri consistently say need further information or unable to gain access. I have downloaded there app and put the what three words position in and a picture of the porch. What more can I do. When I complain the best response I get is have your parcel delivered to a parcel shop. I'm paying for delivery to my address so why should I have to do that.

Fake tracking/photo

Evri entered fake tracking and someone else's delivery photo. Wasn't even my house and a man with a parcel at his feet which even the seller said wasn't my package from them, no man lives or is at my home. Seller refunded me but eBay did nothing about it. If it states delivered case closed no questions asked. Thank god I never paid a fortune as this was so stressful! Evri need closed down asap. In my photos one is of a genuine Evri delivery. The one with a man with a parcel at his feet I have no idea who or where that is.
