If I could give 0 stars I would
February 11, 2025

If I could give 0 stars then I would but it then wouldn't register the review so one will have to do.
I cannot describe the amount of loathing I have for this pathetic company.
I bought a bin from Amazon and some pillows from Marks and Spencers but had issues with both items so decided to return them. Both places offered pick up returns through Evri so got that booked for 12th January.
Driver turns up but says he can't pick up my items because they are "too big" and he's just been to the warehouse but not to worry he will absolutely come back later in the afternoon to get them, he does not.
Maybe he'll try again the next day I think, he does not and all the app says is "sorry we missed you". I try calling but I don't know if I've encountered a worse IVR system, there is no way to speak to.a human and for a return they only tell you if its been returned or not which considering the boxes were still in my hall showed they had not been picked up.
I try and do a live chat on the evri website and they advise someone would give me.a call within 24 hours, this was on the 14th January and I have yet to receive a single call from Evri.
I get an email a couple of days later which says they can't find my delivery but let them look into it. Another red flag, this is not a delivery it's a return and you can't find the items because they haven't been picked up.
I send more emails and get more ai responses saying someone is looking into my delivery but have I thought about checking with a neighbour, I try calling them but their system doesn't recognise the tracking number they gave me, I cc in their ceo but do not receive a single response or acknowledgement from them.

I call Marks and Spencers and they can't do anything other than cancel the return so we can set up a new one, it had been over a week since the first pickup was meant to be and I was getting worried that I wouldn't get my returns in on time. Cancelled my amazon return and set up a new one but no-one came at all.

More emails sent to evri but no responses other that automated emails saying they were looking into my delivery.

At this point I've sent 20 emails and missed the return window for the marks and spencer item so I cancel this one and set up a new amazon return. I get an email from Uthaam saying they will send someone to pick up the items but they don't, the tracking never updates and I think I start getting more annoyed so email asking for compensation along with the amazon parcel to be picked up.
I don't recieve another email back from them.
On the 7th February, without notice they send a driver to pick up my parcel.
Amazing I think, although I've missed out of one return at least I return the other but I can't because their system.is expecting 2 parcels. The amazon one that is only just in date to return but also m&s one that I had cancelled weeks ago at this point.
I will be honest, I did get angry with the delivery driver, it was his fault but he was the representative of the company and I had been ignored for so long but he could not work out how to remove the m&s parcel from the pickup so was unable to take the amazon one. I sent him away and email evri again but still no response, I've emailed that company every few days totalling 31 times and they have just ignored me.

I cannot stress enough the amount of hate I have for that company, I explained to them that i was disabled and had no other way of returning the items early on and they still tried directing me to a ParcelShop.

I am never going to consciously choose to use Evri as a delivery/pickup service again. I cannot explain the amount of stress and anger they have caused me over the past month

HORRIBLE SERVICE! DO NOT TRUST EVRI WITH YOUR PARCELS!
October 26, 2024

‼Evri's Service is UNBELIEVABLY AWFUL – AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!‼

I am absolutely LIVID with Evri. I have had to deal with this pathetic excuse of a delivery company far too many times, and every time it's been a nightmare. Let me break down the horror of using Evri: they have lost or stolen my parcels every single time I've ordered! I'm talking about items worth more than £500, just VANISHING into thin air, never to be seen again. How on earth can a so-called "delivery service" get away with this level of incompetence and negligence?

Evri is nothing but an unreliable, poorly run scam of a company. The worst part? They don't even have real customer service! You can't get through to anyone because they hide behind a wall of useless chatbots that have NO answers, NO empathy, and NO solutions! They push you into a never-ending loop of automated responses, and you never get to speak to an actual human who could help or take accountability. It's beyond infuriating and insulting to be treated like this after spending so much money on things they've essentially stolen.

It's not just once or twice; this has happened with almost every delivery I've had from them. Expensive items just disappear, and there's not even an apology, let alone a resolution. Their drivers are either completely careless or outright dishonest, and Evri does NOTHING to address it. They just shrug their shoulders while customers are left paying the price for their shoddy, unreliable "service."

This company is a complete disgrace. The way Evri operates is borderline criminal – losing parcels, allowing items to be stolen, offering NO help, and hiding behind automated responses so they don't have to take responsibility for their constant failures. DO NOT TRUST EVRI WITH YOUR PACKAGES. There are far better, more reliable delivery services out there. Evri is a black hole for your parcels, your money, and your patience. Avoid them if you want any peace of mind because they are the absolute WORST in the industry!

And don't be fooled by their recent rebrand! Just because they changed their name from Hermes to Evri doesn't mean they've improved at all. It's the same poor service, same lack of accountability, and same mess of a company. They didn't fix a single issue – they just slapped on a new name and hoped no one would notice.

Evri is the lowest of the low in delivery services – a pitiful excuse for a company that's utterly rotten at its core. They are, without a doubt, the worst courier imaginable, failing in every possible way with an astounding level of incompetence. Trusting Evri is like throwing your items straight into the trash and expecting them to come out intact. Their existence is an insult to professionalism, and the world would be better off if they closed their doors for good. If Evri handled a rock, they'd probably lose that too. This company is a walking disaster, an abysmal failure, and frankly, they're an embarrassment to the entire delivery industry. Do yourself a favor: NEVER, EVER trust Evri with anything you care about.

HOW IS THIS COMPANY STILL ALLOWED TO OPERATE?!
February 21, 2024

HOW IS THIS COMPANY STILL ALLOWED TO OPERATE?! I find it extraordinarily strange how there appears to be so many 'good' reviews on Trustpilot for this company, whereas all the other less well known review platforms tell a VERY different story! I think Trustpilot need to investigate this phenomenon! On 8th Feb I trusted this terribly incompetent and dishonest service to send/deliver an electrical item worth £550.00. On 18th Feb the buyer contacted me to say the package hadn't arrived. When I checked the tracking information it said that on 9th Feb the package had been 'received by Hermes'. It also said that on 10th Feb at 06:50am it was 'in transit'. Then it said on 10th Feb at 09:21 it was 'on hold' with no reason why and had no communication from EVRI whatsoever to tell me what was happening with the package I had paid them to deliver for me. On the 18th Feb I sent them an email asking what was going on. I had an automated response telling me 'this has been sent to your local Customer Services team to look into this, rest assured we have it in hand'. By the 20th Feb I'd heard nothing from them so I went about the extremely difficult and lengthy task of speaking to an actual person at EVRI. I was told rather quickly and bluntly that the package had been 'lost within the network' and the case had been closed. As well as explaining that this situation was unacceptable, I asked why EVRI had made no effort to communicate this situation to me or the receiver until I actually finally managed to speak to someone. I didn't get an acceptable answer to this question, he just proceeded to tell me that he was going to send me a claim form so I could claim back my £20 compensation plus my delivery fee. I was gobsmacked! This is the most despicable service I have ever received. Since, I have read many stories/reviews from people who've had very similar experiences. There are thousands of them. There are even videos on YouTube of EVRI drivers doing what looks like a car boot sale, but they call it a 'lucky dip'. They have tables set up with piles of parcels on them and openly say that these are 'EVRI lost items'. People are allowed to come along, pick up the parcels, they are not allowed to open them, but they are allowed to feel and shake them before they decide to buy them, hence the 'lucky dip'. You can clearly see the Evri labels with the recipients addresses still attached to the items! No doubt the expensive item I paid and trusted EVRI to deliver to the buyer, Will end up on a EVRI lucky dip stall somewhere in the country. DO NOT USE THIS APPALLINGLY DISHONEST SERVICE! THEY SHOULD BE BANNED FROM TRADING IMMEDIATELY!

A Total Disaster Just Like Before
August 13, 2023

I thought after Hermes was rebranded as Evri, that they would draw a line under the horrendous experiences suffered by thousands of customers (including myself), that they would have learned from the mistakes of the past and with a theoretically clean sheet they would rebuild business to be reliable, efficient and pleasant to work with. In reality it turns out they have done the exact opposite. Their systems and staff continue to perpetuate the characteristic Hermes nightmare born of incompetence, lack of empathy, willingness to misinform, lie and basically fail to provide the service they puport to offer whilst all the while making the experience as annoying an unpleasant as possible for their unfortunate victims. I am still waiting for the parcel they assured me was being delivered during a 2 hour slot four days ago, and then again the next day, and then some time later that day, then again some random time yesterday and now today it seems they might deliver it or they might not, I think probably not because the tracking today indicates that it it is not even on it's way. I suppose this is a little bit better than been told it definitely will arrive today and then nothing (as has happened on all of the past 3 days), but it is still frustrating, especially as there is now no other good day to deliver it. I contacted them and was told I would get a reply within a few minutes. They eventually replied the following day saying they would contact me the following day and then they did the same againafter whilst completely failing to achieve anything other than to tell me that the parcel is larger than they thought it was (it's probably about 1 metre long - and presumably exactly the same size it was a when they collected it last week). It has since proved impossible to contact anyone or get even a vague idea of when the parcel is likely to arrive now, if ever! They clearly have deliberate policies in place to make things a awkward for customers as possible. Apparently they don't actually have a suitable vehicle available to perform the delivery but they will not even allow me to go and collect the parcel from the depot. They even informed the sender of the parcel, and me that they completed the delivery of the parcel to my address four days ago, which is simply a lie.

I'm sure some people get their parcels on time, though I have yet to hear of anyone who has had a good experience with Evri. Why even have tracking if it is completely inaccurate and unreliable?

I am writing this to tell you that Evri has proved to be unreliable, unprofessional and uncaring. They have cost me money and time so I hope this costs them the customers they don't deserve, as well as protecting those potential customers from having to suffer the disgraceful unprofessionalism of these cowboys. I suppose they might be a good delivery service for compulsive gamblers who enjoy the thrill of waiting and waiting, and guessing whether tracking information is truth or lies or whether or not their a parcel will arrive today or ever!

Update: At last a glimmer of concern. Evri have been in touch to assure me that they have undertaken an extensive search for my valuable parcel. Unfortunately they have concluded that they have "mislaid" it. They have no idea where it is but they are sorry!

Extremely Poor Service and Suspicious Activity by Evri Delivery Company
June 21, 2023

I am utterly disappointed with the abysmal service provided by Evri, a delivery company that claims to be professional and reliable. My recent experience with them has been nothing short of a nightmare. I entrusted Evri with the delivery of my valuable BenQ Mobiuz monitor worth £500, and it has been 12 agonizing days since then. To add insult to injury, the tracking information shows that the monitor is still stuck at the sender's local depot.

Frustrated and concerned about the whereabouts of my expensive package, I decided to contact Evri for an update. To my disbelief, they informed me that the monitor had been erroneously sent to the wrong part of the depot during scanning and couldn't be located. This raises serious questions about their incompetence and lack of proper handling procedures.

Initially, they had the audacity to offer a measly compensation of £25, along with the delivery cost of £6.90, as if that could even come close to compensating for the loss of a £500 monitor. However, my hopes for even that minimal compensation were quickly shattered when they nonchalantly declared that they do not cover monitors under their compensation policy. This sudden change in their stance seemed suspicious, as if they were deliberately avoiding liability due to the item's high value.

Seeking a resolution to this distressing situation, I politely requested to speak with a manager or director, only to be met with a shocking response. Evri outright refused to provide me with any contact details or means to reach out to higher authorities within the company. This lack of transparency and accountability is deeply concerning and only adds to my suspicion that something more nefarious might be going on behind the scenes.

It is disheartening to realize that this is not an isolated incident but rather a recurring problem with Evri. Astonishingly, this has happened to me twice within a span of six weeks, suggesting a pattern of fraudulent practices and intentional mishandling of customers' packages. I can only imagine the number of individuals who have fallen victim to their deceitful actions.

I implore someone with the necessary authority from Evri to immediately reach out to me to resolve this matter. I am not content with a mere £25 compensation, which is a pittance compared to the £60 offered by reputable delivery companies like DPD. I demand the return of my monitor or its prompt delivery to the designated address. However, given my experience and the apparent unreliability and questionable ethics of Evri, I have lost all faith in their ability to rectify the situation.

Henceforth, I vow never to use Evri's services again. Instead, I will opt for a more trustworthy and efficient courier like DPD, which not only provides better solutions but also offers them at more competitive prices. Their track record of reliability and customer satisfaction far surpasses that of Evri, who seem to prioritize their own convenience over their customers' interests.

In conclusion, my experience with Evri has been an absolute nightmare characterized by ineptitude, suspicious behavior, and a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. I sincerely hope that this review serves as a wake-up call for Evri and prompts them to address the systemic issues within their organization.
