This is a really cool site! It has free videos which can tell you how to do just about anything from how to make Jello Shot-Balls, how to peel potatoes without a peeler to making a little Lego toilet with a figurine, skin care and everything, lol. They have exercise videos and stuff like that too. They've even got a video on making little candies that look like bugs, lol. Of course they even have how to videos on hydroponics and how to make stop motion films and a variety of other things, It also has an online community and you can comment about the videos.

It's a really fun site. If you have the time, check it out. I'm sure you'll like it too.

  • Zaba Search

Zabasearch is a people finder service offering public domain telephone number and postal address information.

You can search a person's name and if it's listed, in most cases they even have a month and year of the persons date of birth as well as listing previous addresses. There is a feature that is called "get the dirt" which will direct you to an Intellious site which is a paysite for background check but if you click around the info it does give you, you can even dig up names of people related to that household.

It's help me to locate quite a few people and you get the year they were/are associated with the address and phone numbers provided. Even if you don't have a date of birth, it's still worth a try because the info you do get can help you narrow the field down.

Another winner of a site which is about information on plane crashes/air disasters but this one even has a section just for fearful flyers just to give those Nervous-Nelly's out there a little boost of confidence when flying makes them want to blow their biscuits or eat a handful of Valium. It's very informative and interesting. Oh, and this one even has a list of blacklisted Airlines in both Europe and the USA. Might be worth a look if you're traveling on an Airline you've never used before or is one you're not familiar with at all.

  • Webcellars.com.au

I'm in the US and this is an Australian company (ordered for someone in Australia) and I had ordered the wrong type of liquor for a birthday gift and even though it was my mistake, by email, they switched it out for me for a brand that totaled a little more than I actually paid to begin with and waived the difference and they did it without any additional restocking charges or anything and the order had already been processed. Now that's great customer service!

  • Airfare.com

Well, since I'm in the process of making flight arrangements for a trip to Australia, I've utilized the multi airline search engines to find the best deal on my international flights.

I came across this website which boasts of a possible 70% savings over other ticketing/booking companies like cheaptickets.com etc...

I entered my info and wow! I found a pretty darn good deal that would have saved about $200-$300 over all the other companies.

Great! I was ready to book! Then I got a funny nagging gut feeling of impending doom and gloom so I decided to research them and check out any reviews and most importantly, check them with the Better Business Bureau.

It wasn't pretty! The BBB rated this company with a grade F. (Works like our report card from school, folks. A-F with F being the kind of grade that would get you grounded and in summer school if you'd been sent home to Mom and Dad with it.) So, I checked out even more review sites and only saw maybe 4 reviews that were favorable. However, the BBB showed that in some cases, the company didn't even respond to the BBB complaint/inquiry.

Seems the main problems with this company are hidden charges showing up on your credit card and costing you hundreds more dollars, etickets being improperly issued and not issued in some cases at all and very rude customer service when and if you're able to get someone to talk to you at all! To be fair, I will say I called and a representative answered promptly but still, the negative reviews say that you get the run around and one person was on the phone with them and it took 9 hours to get things straight and that they were hung up on several times.

So, fair warning here. Some people even had to close their bank accounts to stop the unauthorized charges. I'd steer clear of this one. Stick with companies like cheaptickets.com which I've used 3 times without any problem at all.

  • Donate Life Texas.org

For any of you organ donors out there, you might want to register online at this site for the State of Texas.

There's a lot of people out there that can benefit from organ donation and what better way to leave this world than to do something to help your fellow man. You could be saving a life or helping someone who is blind see for the first time in their lives.

They will send you a donor card in the mail to carry with and the hospitals have access to this site so your organs can be harvested in time to help someone who really needs them. Of course you should still tell your family about your willingness to donate your organs.

Stop by and check it out. It's fast and it's easy as well as completely confidential.

  • IncrediMail

3/15/10

This isn't a bad site but when I downloaded it, it created a hotmail account for me and I don't really care much for hotmail or windows live mail.

You get free emoticons but the best ones you have to get a premium membership so their claims of free emoticons are true but if you want the really good ones. Then I had could not find a way to sign out of the incredimail and hotmail account and some of the emails I sent too more than 20 minutes to get to the person I sent them to. I got some strange error messages too.

If you get this service, just know that it has it's ups and downs.

Everything you see on the TV ads and internet ads are right on the money. I love this site.

As a Genealogist myself, I use it all the time and I've located some wonderful things on my own family. Draft cards, census, phone book records, it's all there. The little leaves that are used as hints are just fantastic. I actually saw my Grandfather's signature and personal information on his draft cards and I've connected with family I didn't even know I had!

It's well worth the money and they've got different plans to suit everyone. They offer a free trial and if you join you even get more access. Give it a shot. You may be related to someone famous or someone right around the corner that you didn't even know about!

  • ConsumerFraudReporting.org

I've just posted a thread in the new email scams category that Michael has just created on the forum here about this site with some advice on what to do if you've contacted someone you believe is trying to scam you through an email scam.

This site has all kinds of sites and information regarding consumer fraud and some very helpful tips and advice on protecting yourself from these scammers and what to do if you're a victim. Hopefully, this site will save you or someone you know some grief.

  • Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center

2/21/10

Okay folks. Roll up your sleeves and if you want to find out where the nearest blood drives are and where the centers are to donate blood, use this website. You can find out how much of what blood type they've taken and you will see that some of the rarer types are needed as well as the normal everyday blood types.

I've joined the Commit For Life Program and I'm a regular donor but they can always use more, especially of the rare blood types. My sister needed blood and it took them more than 2 days to find blood for her because she has a rare type. Thank God she wasn't bleeding to death at the time.

This is your chance to help someone and possible save their lives or your own one day. I took 6 pints altogether after I had my baby and hemorrhaged just a week later. Someone who donated blood saved my life which is why I am giving it back. It's not something you think about often but it can happen to you.

So, this website will make it easy for you find out where to go and what to do. You can even donate blood for someone in particular in their name. And don't worry, if you've never donated before. It's just a little stick, just turn your head and don't look at the needle if you're scared of needles and they'll give you something to eat afterward. Nothing to it!

  • Web2msg

2/21/10

I hate to complain about a site that offers something free to the public but I'm mainly reviewing this so no one wastes their time using this service since it no longer works.

It used to be a very good service. If you're in the US you could text to people in Australia with several different cell phone carriers and even receive replies. There were a limited amount of texts you could send a day but hey, it was free, how could we complain?

It had a bit of a problem with the amount of allotments for various carriers a day and they would have to cut off messaging after their share of allotments had been used up but it would reset every 12 hours so even though it was unavailable at times for some carriers, it was okay and it was understandable.

Unfortunately, this service hasn't worked for the last few months and when you text someone, you get a message saying message delivery failed, try again later, but when you do try later you get the same message.

It's a waste of time using web2msg these days. I don't know if they've just abandoned the site or what. I've sent emails asking if they were having problems but no one ever answers. Before, the staff would communicate with you and answer your questions but not anymore. I guess it doesn't hurt to periodically check to see if they're up an running now and then but I don't see it coming back.

I'm thankful to the site for the time they were operating because they've saved me a lot of money on international texting. Too bad it seems to be shut down now. It used to be a wonderful service. Sad to see them go.

  • FOX 26 Houston

2/21/10

I've been over at Fox now for a few weeks now. It's a bit like a mini myspace where you can post blogs daily on anything you want to blog about and it has the daily news and the articles are pretty good too. You can post pics, videos and you can friend people and send messages back and forth.

It's much better than click2houston and like sitejabber, the web staff and tech guys listen to your suggestions and they reply as well. And, you can even communicate with some of the newscasters and reporters via the blog and send them messages and they answer when they can as well.

They've had a few bugs causing some technical headaches for them but they seemed to have worked them out. I really like this site. I sent them a suggestion to add a feature for notifying us by email when we get a message and they actually put it into the program.

Like sitejabber, they care about their bloggers and want to help in any way they can. ;)

  • ClickOnDetroit

2/19/10

ClickOnDetroit is much like Click2Houston.com. They both use Disqus comment program. COD has some major problems with Trolls though. Namely, the Boji brothers. These two harass, impersonate and stalk other bloggers to various sites that use Disqus since they have a Disqus blog account on COD. It's not Disqus' fault though. ClickonDetroit refuses to do anything about these two. They have numerous alias profiles and names and it's COD's responsibility to handle the complaints and moderate the site but thus far, they haven't even responded to bloggers complaints nor gotten rid of these two that are behind this. They stir up trouble between bloggers just to watch the turmoil. In all fairness there are some good, friendly bloggers on the site but the trolls can and often are brutal. Enter this site as a blogger at your own risk, lol. COD, like Click2Houston aren't going to help at all.

  • Cockpit Voice Recorder Database

5/21/11

This is a really interesting website. I was just watching Air Disaster and the featured program was Fedex Flight 705 in which a Fedex employee lost it and tried to kill the pilots and crash the plane. I found the transcript for the flight and the story behind it here on this site. It also has many others in the database there so if you're interested, you'll find this site to your liking.

  • OzPropellers

4/28/11

My boyfriend ordered a boat propeller from them and his order was shipped promptly and received as promised. Quality of product was great, they were there for him when he had questions and the prices were quite fair. He would definitely recommend the site to anyone. ;)

  • GreenBeansCoffee

5/10/10

This is a pretty cool site where you can "Give a cop of Joe, to a Joe" meaning that you can join and you can adopt a US soldier and the company will send him a gift cards to purchase coffee, Iced mocha's and things like that being as they are set up over there with them on their bases and that. It's like the military version of Starbucks.

You can send them care packages and things like backpacks for injured soldiers that start at $11 and your soldier is yours until he or she is deployed. In fact some of the soldiers have talked about when they were injured their uniforms were cut off them and they had no toiletries and the like and were grateful that people had sent these back packs in and it was a great comfort to them. It's a great way to show them we've not forgotten them.

Read some of the soldier comments on the site. If you can't afford anything along those lines then you can simply write to them and try to help them through their time away from home. Their motto is "No Soldier should ever feel unloved" and I agree. There are a lot of ways to get involved and if you have a loved one overseas then you can sign them up on this site too.

Show our troops that you still support them and haven't forgotten them. I'm sure they can use the kind words.

  • Gamevance

3/30/10

If you see the ad on Facebook for these "play now" games, it might be best to avoid them.

My virus software picked up some questionable activity on this Gamevance site that I had to remove so it's best not to click on them at all. Go to a good game site like Bigfish games.

  • HumorHotlines.com

3/17/10

This site is really cool, lol. If you've got someone that you want to tell them something and you can't bring yourself to do it, just get on this site and you'll find a hotline number. All you have to do is see that they get a message to call that number.

They've got a lot of different categories from everything like "You've got bad breath", "I love you", and break up messages.

Take a little tour and call some of the numbers yourself. They're pretty amusing.

  • French's

3/3/10

This is a great site for recipes. One in particular, French's Crunchy Onion Chicken is excellent. I made it for the first time myself about a week ago and my family just loved it!

There are all kinds of time saver recipes, an online message board community and you can even ask a professional chef questions. They also have videos of them preparing dishes from the French's kitchen.

Oh, and you can print coupons as well and if you're stuck for an idea, just visit the website.

  • Profiletweaks

2/26/10

I was researching some text problems I'm having and with Firefox and came across this site by accident. This site reportedly has "dangerous downloads". It was flagged by my virus software.

If you're looking to tweak your myspace layout, stay away from this site. I won't even go to the site myself after that warning popped up on the search results. I wasn't looking to tweak any layouts but I came across this site with that warning so I thought I'd post it for you folks that are looking for a site to help you with your myspace layouts. Use extreme caution if you do decide to check it out.
