I spend a lot of time thinking about online fraud prevention.

Seriously the slowest wireless internet I have ever used. It's not expensive, but it is slow, and it goes down with some frequency. Note: my experience is only in San Francisco - it could be better elsewhere.
I found Bank of America's business banking services to be poor - there's a monthly fee regardless of what balance you keep, and there is a fee for inbound wire transfers. Moreover, it's impossible to get useful help on the phone. I'd bank elsewhere (trying Silicon Valley Bank at the moment... will review in a couple months).
Sent me a crappy printer cartridge - These guys sent me a printer cartridge that was meant to be "refurbished" but it didn't work at all (it printed streaks). Customer service was good, and they sent me a new one without questions, but the new one didn't work either! Finally I gave up and returned the stuff. I wouldn't shop here again.
I booked 2 nights and ended up needing only 1. Even though it said free cancellations, they would not allow me to cancel it. I ended up paying $110.00 for a room that remained empty!

I bought a Pur water filter that attaches to a kitchen faucet. It was easy to install and relatively inexpensive. Unfortunately, the entire thing broke within 4 days. It worked perfectly for those 4 days and then all of a sudden fell off the faucet and will not reattach. Sadly, it appears the only high-quality reviews of water filters online is behind Consumer Reports' paywall: http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/home-garden/kitchen/water-filters/index.htm
By the way, don't be fooled by the top result on Google for "water filter reviews" it's a website paid for by one of the companies that makes water filters (surprise, surprise Google search results are terrible...).
Facebook and social network users beware: Spokeo seems to have taken advantage of Facebook's lax privacy default settings by scraping personal information and displaying it publicly. This includes your location, education, credit estimate, wealth estimate, age, ethnicity and so on. You can have your information removed by going here: http://www.spokeo.com/privacy (seems to be a big ad for Reputation Defender...)
I'm writing this review as a consumer who has received spam from customers of eztexting.com (from some "event promotion service" that I did not sign up for). At least with email spam, you can mark it as spam and in theory not have to deal with anymore unwanted emails. However, with text message spam, it's very unclear (at least to me) how to block them. I tried responding with text messages saying "remove" and "don't text me anymore" but the only one I could get to work was "unsubscribe." The problem is, there are no instructions in the text message on how to block them. This should be fixed and is not consumer friendly.
I have no idea how effective eztexting is from a marketing standpoint, but any company that uses this service should be aware that they are putting their brand at risk by sending consumers unwanted text messages.

Dear Jeremy,
Spokeo is a People Search Engine, and aggregates only publicly-accessible data from a multitude of sources, such as social networks, public records, phone listings, marketing surveys and more. Our information depends entirely on the amount of digital footprints left by email users, as well as the privacy settings maintained by the user. These days, the privacy settings, especially at Facebook are very customizable. Should the user does not want to be found, we honor it at Spokeo.
