A Hit Magazine!
January 11, 2024

You go in there and read a few of Vanity Fairs articles, only to find yourself bombarded with one article after the other of immature, childishely written hit pieces against those interviewed or spoken of. You're left with the feeling they've hired a bunch of common core-educated college age children fresh out of high school to cover these stories. Zero talent = zero entertainment. So, unless you're willing to risk losing a few neurons, then don't dare to enter. You might come out alive, but less intelligent than before you entered. Unless you're into National Enquirer type gossipy gossip, leave Vanity Fair to the high drama addicted, soap opera type readers.

Graydon Carter was a brilliant Editor. Under his supervision, the magazine offered rich stories, fantastic pieces, exciting and provocative stories. Is there any hope Vanity Fair changes its Editor to someone who actually knows about a Magazine. Under Ms. Jones, Vanity Fair became lame, boring and stupid. She doesn't know what she is doing in the magazine. She pretends she knows her job. But she is not a goof fit.

I admit it--I at one point in my life had a subscription to Vanity Fair. Sure the magazine is often filled with silly gossip about wealthy people (see: Behind the Hamptons Hedges) and about a million pages of ads. But, I contend, it still has excellent authors writing about interesting topics, which makes it worth reading.

For example, there are many thoughtful articles by Sebastian Junger: http://www.vanityfair.com/contributors/sebastian-junger

And recently by Christopher Hitchens:

It used to be that VanityFair.com did not let you see much, but that has all changed and you can view a lot of the content for free. I realize it's not always art, but I do enjoy a little Vanity Fair in my life.

Love the magazine. However I find the color of the photos on the cover are darker than before. And the cover of Sept 2023 is really not the best. Do not see the reason why Riley Keough had to sit with her legs wide open. Not very classy. Thanks

Political writings
October 13, 2021

I guess I thought your magazine was informative and one to read. Now, I see you have gotten political which is ridiculous. I hope you loose more subscriptions and I'll never look at it.

Too far left for me to enjoy, it's disgusting. Talked about a skewed opinion. I won't renew my subscription. Typical DEM rag.
