I bought a coat from VC for 1.800 EUR which was described as new. When the coat arrived, it turned out to heavily used, unprofessionally altered, and full of animal hair. Have not received my money back so far, customer service is not telling me, if they accept my return shipping. Totally unnerving, absolute crap, should go out of business and save customers the hustle.
They have zero customer service. It's a fraud. They are a rip off. I am warning you now do not purchase from them. They are a terrible terrible company
What a bad business model. Not only do you piss off Sellers and now buyers too. You charge Sellers and amazingly in sane be close to 30% and then you charge buyers a you charge Sellers and amazingly insane be of close to 30% and then you charge buyers a "contribution fee"
Most incompetent customer service i ever had, i ordered a pair of pants a month ago still did not get them, the dhl company said it never left their warehouse when i mailed VC they deemed after inquiering twice to make me go to even more steps and forms to find out were my item is, AND WAIT EVEN MORE WHEN THEY ALREADY HAD ALL THE INFO, 3 WEEKS since it was supposely sent i still didnt get it, do not know were it is, i would never trust to pay thousands of dolars on a item here, imagine something went wrong, u are better off with other sites
Ref: *******.
So very disappointed. Have purchased a pair of Louis Vuitton heels listed by Vestiaire Collective Concierge Service as " Very good condition".
Have received heels with huge scuffs on heels in some parts the leather is missing! How shocking.
Upon receiving the parcel I have written an email to VC supplied photos of these heels asking to take these shoes back and issue me with a refund.
Nobody got back to me I kept sending emails until today when I have received an email from someone called Ghizlène who has stated they don't accept returns and I can relist these shoes if I wish - a small handling fee will be deducted from the final sale. ( That means they will be released as very good condition while in fact the condition is poor, worned out soles, scuffs and missing leather on heels).
I have purchased an item marked by VC Condition: Very good condition.( A second-hand pair of shoes in very good condition have barely been worn and very well looked after.)
What I have got is a pair of heels which correspond to a Fair condition:
Huge scuffs on heels and missing leather on heels, worned out soles.
Shame on your Vestiaire Collectives we pay 30% commission fee for you to check all items properly- in this case you have not done it and now you refuse to admit your mistake and takes these worned out shoes!
Very bad experience. Pulled out just in time. This group is horrifically inefficient and should not be trusted to determine authenticity or fake. Sent them five items of genuine designer clothing and they had absolutely no idea how to price. You can easily judge the level of these people in the first few emails. Avoid! Avoid!
Bad experience and unacceptable costumer care service. If anything goes wrong, don't wait for any good service provided.
Customer service agents are extremly rude and unhelpful. They sell your item, let them ship it to you and then tell you that the sale was cancelled. Still waiting for this item to be shipped back to me for more than 3weeks. So you have no money and your item is blocked.
Than the next sale happens, you send another item to them AGAIN, hoping it will be better this time, you include your brand new bag, dust bag, invoice, all papers -WITH YOUR OWN HANDS, SO YOU KNOW WHAT IS INSIDE!
After they receive the bag, they inform you that the invoice is missing. Without your consent they send the offer with a lower price to a buyer. In the meantime (and you still don't know) your item was refused by a buyer, so that's the first time you got an email saying your invoice is missing and the sale is cancelled and question you if they have to relist it with that lower price or you want it back! INSANE.
You call to the costumer care service, totally confused what just happened and you receive incredible rude answer in such an inpatient manner, you can't believe.
So all I can do is now to wait for a second item, with no payment done, somewhere in France and hope it wil arrive back in next few weeks or so...
Incredible, that one has to pay 33% plus for such a service. Never ever again. Now I hope that items I will receive back will be at least in the condition as I sent them to Vestiaire. My bag is missing an invoice and I can't do nothing to prove it. I will get back an uncomplete package and I am still looking for a legal possibilities to claim this loss.
Rude liars. Stay away from them.

I wanted to list several really nice authentic items, they rejected the items every single time without any kind of explanation. Trying to call is a joke, and they never respond to emails. After reading all these horrible reviews, i now understand... this is a horrible site with absolute horrible Customer support... I will sell my stuff elsewhere.
Dear Andrea
We're really sorry that you had an unsatisfactory experience with us. Our curation team look at the price, style, condition and seasonality of items to decide whether or not they are suitable for the site. When your items were rejected you should have received a reason as to why - we apologise if this was not clear. Please don't hesitate to try submitting items again.
Best wishes,

I placed an order on April 4th. I used Affirm, a small loans company, to pay for my item. The order did not get confirmed until April 10th (why does it take nearly a week to get an order confirmed?). Affirm, however, starts counting the day the loan is made! A week goes by. No update. Another week goes by, Vestiaire still hasn't received the item. I contact them. They say that the seller has 30 days to send in the item before the order is cancelled (May 10th). Meanwhile, I have a payment due on my loan on May 6th! I try contacting the seller, they do not respond either. May 6th arrives. I make my loan payment because otherwise it might negatively impact my credit score. Vestiaire never gets the item, and finally cancels it on the 10th. They send a full refund to Affirm, but guess what- for those 30 days I had the loan, interest was being calculated. I'm only going to be getting part of my payment back. I NEVER GOT THE ITEM. I essentially paid Affirm $$ for borrowing their money for 30 days since Vestiaire could not get their act together! It's ridiculous that they allow their sellers to abuse the system. The seller clearly did not have the item and was not planning on ever sending it to me. Why couldn't the seller just say they could not fulfill the order? I could have gotten my refund much earlier, gotten the loan cancelled and not made a payment. And does the seller get penalized for this? Probably not! I was the only one who got screwed in this transaction, and I did everything I was suppose to do. I fulfilled my promise to Vestiaire and Affirm. On top of this the item I wanted is now impossible to find. I couldn't place a different order because I had no idea if I was getting this bag or not! I e-mail customer service and they give me the "oh sorry you had a negative experience we forwarded to the correct department". Thanks Vestiaire. I expect much more from a company that deals in luxury goods. Your customer service could have been much better. I wouldn't be so angry if this situation was handled better. And no, I dont want your $15 off my next purchase. That doesn't even cover the amount I lost to Affirm.
Dear L. N
Thank you for your feedback - we're extremely sorry to hear about your unsatisfactory experience at Vestiaire Collective.
We've just messaged you privately with regards to compensation and are already in talks with Affirm about changing the way our orders are processed to ensure that this doesn't happen again. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for flagging this issue.
Best wishes,

This is a very shady site. I ordered a Céline edge at VC 18 days ago. The order nr is *******. The item was listed at a very reasonable price and i was quite happy with my purchase. Days went by and the seller did not send the item. After ten days the seller left a comment that she wished to cancell the sale because she had broken the tag on it (this makes no sense, but whatever).
I few days later i realised that the seller had put the exact same bag for sale at a higher Price on VC. She has not canselled my sale, so im not able to get a refund.
When i try to call VC i get an automated response - they tell me to call doing bussines hours - I am calling doing bussines hours, but i guess this Company just does not care.
I find that it is horrible that they allow sellers to relist sold items at higher prices. This enables the seller to abuse the 30 day they can wait before shippng an item. If the get it sold at a better price then great for them - otherwise they still can sell it at the cheaper price. Meanwhile i am stuck and can not get my money back.
Hopefully they will refund me once the 30 days are over - what a complete waste of time.
Dear Viola
We're really sorry to hear about this unsatisfactory experience. Re-listing a sold item is certainly not something that VC assent to, and we apologise on behalf of our curation team that they did not spot the same bag was already listed for sale on the site. We will forward this example to the relevant teams in order to try and avoid this issue moving forwards.
If the seller doesn't send the item by the 30 day deadline, your refund should be processed with immediate effect.
Please accept our sincere apologies again,
Rachael for Vestiaire Collective
What to do when Vestiaite sells you a faulty item and then refuses to accept return/refund? Help me!
Hi Ida
Please could you provide us with the order ref. Number and we can follow up with our Customer Service team asap for you.
Thanks,
Rachael for Vestiaire Collective
I left a negative review last week and VC replied saying they would be in touch and guess what... nothing absolutely nothing. There service just gets worse and worse.
Hi Carol
We're really sorry to hear that your item was firstly not accurately described, and secondly that you've had issues with tracking and trouble securing a refund. We've forwarded this issue onto our Customer Service team in order to rectify this situation for you as soon as possible. A member of the team should be in touch shortly.

I have been selling and buying since 2013 on VC now. I never received a counterfeit product, I have always received my money of sold items, they have always replied to me within the week. You have to pay 30% selling costs but that's the case for all the places where you sell luxury items. It is one of the best ways to sell you high-end items, according to me. There are only two things about their policy that I don't like and would want differently:
1) if I buy something, I have to pay immediately. This means I pay a lot of money upfront. Sometimes the seller does not have the item anymore, or for another reason the transaction gets cancelled because the seller does not respond to VC. Then I have to wait for cashback. This can take up to a month, but not longer. But still.
2) they reject my pieces quite often, for reasons that I don't understand. I have amazing Zara pieces that everybody still wants but then VC says the price is too low (of course, it IS ZARA), or the item does not respond to the current demand (which is not true). So getting your things on VC is not that easy, even for really good items.
For what it's worth, don't believe all the nasty comments posted here. Just try buying with VC, just to see for yourself, even if it's a small piece to start off with. The comments here a very brutal and really, I only have good experiences.
Hi Margaux
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts, we really value feedback from our customers. We're really glad to hear you enjoy using the site and will make sure to pass your commends for improvement onto the relevant teams.
Best wishes,

I was sold a fake $3000 bag. Their authentication service is a joke as the bag was authenticated by them twice! Thank God I used Pay Pal so after two months I was able to get a refund. FYI: They never even responded to me directly or Pay Pal so I can't imagine what would happen if I purchased directly. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM!
Purchased a pair of sandals, two different sizes were listed for the same item. I had failed to notice this mistake. The company refused to take any responsibility. Now, it is my issue.
Hi Doris
We're sorry to hear that your sandals were incorrectly described. Please could you provide us with the order ref number and we'll follow up with our Customer Service team. If an item does not match its description we can offer you a refund as it was wrongly described.
Best wishes,
Rachael for Vestiaire Collective
I do buy and sell for a year from Vestiaire collective and I have %100 positive experience with them.
After having read that they do not even ban the sellers that are reportedly sell "fake" products, they are obviously allowing the illegal activity via their web-page. Thus, have authenticity confirmation on your own, do NOT trust this company. I bought three belts from them, I just gave them to the brand owner for authenticity confirmation and waiting for the results. I have bought two bags as defined "unused" by the sellers. Weeks have passed and the sellers have still not delivered the products. This company is asking me to pay for those products which are not delivered to them. For those who are the "victims" of this company, know your rights and initiate a legal action. That's what I will do. Start with informing the relevant ministries and the consumer protection organisations both in your country and in France. Then take it further from there.
Sold an item on Vestiaire and was told it didn't pass their quality check. I asked for the item to return back to me for many times, they never respond my emails. After 1 month, I see my item is going back to account and "Waiting for validation" and that's it. It's forever there to wait for valildation and it has been over a month and they DO NOT respond emails at all.
Hi Ezra

I never got paid for an item that has been sold almost 2 months ago!
Thiefs and liers. Customer service is a joke. Ignorant pricks. I'm seeking legal advice against them
Hi Izabela

I bought a pair of Chanel flats and it should be a Very Good Condition and never worn, according to the seller. When I received it, it was in terrible condition. White color leather turned to yellowish with dirts. The bottom sole of the shoes were cracked due to age. Stain was also on the side. I got more upset at Vestiaire's In-house Inspection service. How ridiculous they are to pass through this item and sent out to a buyer?
Hi Peter
We're very sorry to hear that your item was not as you expected. Please give us the order ref. No and we'll follow this up with our quality control team asap for you.
Best wishes,
Rachael for VC
