I got the ads for Poshmark in the UK, so I thought I try it and put a few of my items up, all of a sudden one person (goes under the name of cricketsteps posts 2 comments, literally the same on 2 different items:

"Hi, this might be what I was looking for. I have an еmаіІ in my bio(info), please send me pictures because for some reason one picture shows here. Thank you "

I politely told her that there are 8 pictures and they are all visible, she continues to push for me to send them to her email, I declined and said I want to keep things within the platform, because a quick google revealed that this is what scammers usually do, one look at her profile shows she is in Texas, I am in the UK...

Next thing I know, my wardrobe is empty, nothing there, I can't list, I should reach out to customer support, I have done so several times, no reply... A week later, but they claim they reply within 24 hours...

Tip for consumers:
They seem to be very dubious

I sold an item (*******) on the 04. 11. 21 shipped 05. 11. 21 the last scan was 07. 11. 21 on 10. 11. 21 the buyer asked me if I can tell her anything about where the jacket is, so I check tracking, since the 8th there seems to be a problem and a request to contact Hermes (the carrier) which I tried but they said the label is issued by VC they need to raise the issue, contacted chat, totally not interested and suggested to wait for a week. So I sent an email instead, on the 11th I get the reply that they are looking into the issue, I will hear from them within 24 hours. Obviously I didn't, today is the 14th, without a reply, I contact chat again, the agent can't even read the tracking info and sends auto replies and claims the parcel was recently scanned, over a week ago is not recently, especially if their website states that if there is no update within 48 hours on tracking to contact them. The buyer and myself are not getting information from the carrier (Hermes) as the label was issued by Vestiaire.

I totally get it that items can get lost, but they are using a carrier that is notoriously unreliable, their chat agents (customer service, allegedly) is hopeless and not even interested, they promise you to get in touch but it rarely ever happens, you usually get an auto reply. You are running around in circles...
The buyer and myself have raised the issue, we are both getting the brush off.

The buyer can always claim the money back via the credit card company or PayPal, as the seller, you sent your item, it is gone and you can't even get VC to get active. Obviously they have a contract with the shipping company that includes insurance, I packed the item in tissue paper, then into a plastic bag, before putting it into a sturdy cardboard box, attached the label and brought it to the drop off shop where it was scanned and I got the receipt, however the fact that the tracking is online, it even registered on the software of VC (that doesn't always happen) is also evidence I have sent and that something (no info what, so I can't even try and fix any issue), the drop off shop refuses to scan or accept parcels if they are not securely packaged and labeled, so it can't have been that issue.

Again, I fully understand that accidents during transport can happen (though they seem to happen a lot lately since VC started to use Hermes as a carrier, almost everybody I know who uses VC has had an issue with items bought or sold getting lost by Hermes) a lot of the items sold on Hermes are high end designer goods, there is no return address (another issue if somebody doesn't pick up a parcel, you don't get your item returned) the label also states it is from Vestiaire Collective, so it is easy for people in the know to pick out smaller parcels and have goods they can easily resell or pawn, given that Hermes seems to work with a lot of people in their hubs that are only temporary workers on minimum wage.
The other issue is the quality of the Vestiaire Collective customer service, there "service" seems to be pressing auto response, often not even related to the issue you are trying to discuss. As a personal feeling, I think they are trained to say anything, fob the customers off, make sure they go away, as some of them might simply give up out of frustration.

Tip for consumers:
Buyers, only pay with a credit card or PayPal so you can get the money back when your item doesn't arrive, sellers, guard the evidence of the shipment with your life and be prepared for a lot of hassle and a long waiting time if the carrier loses the parcel

In the past I have had a mixed bag of experiences with them, for example items I tried to buy all of a sudden not available in the UK, despite the seller being in the UK, when contacting them they explained it is Brexit, really? Within the same country and Brexit stops me from buying sunglasses?
When I sold, often the pictures do not upload, or they load up but VC removes them, then they try to claim you didn't show the small dent in the heel you mentioned and try to force you to agree to a lower price. Sometimes their "experts" aren't even able to authenticate items (items I bought from the official Burberry store in London).
The website always seems to have a hitch, now DHL has a hitch, you can't order a pickup, phone lines do not work, apparently you have to bring them to the drop off point, interesting since we are in a lock down and the nearest one is about 15 miles away and I am paying a high commission for pickup...

Contacting them, they are remarkably unhelpful...

Seriously, you can be as polite as possible, disagreeing with somebody, giving evidence why you disagree, if they report you there is no check, you end up being banned, it is more a playground for people who like to do high school drama, also a lot of the people selling on eBay are authenticating their own items, make of that what you will...

I let them get on, the site is paid by some advertisers and has a lot of shady connections, draw your own conclusions

I bought a Burberry bag on Vinted.co.uk immediately after opening the package I noticed the item seems counterfeit, not only did it feel totally wrong (coated canvas does not feel like rubber) there was also no serial number, it smelled of plastic, the lettering of the inside label was wrong. I am very familiar with Burberry and own quite a lot of their bags, even vintage ones, I trusted the site as they charged me a buyer protection fee in case an item was not as described or fake. I immediately notified them, provided pictures of why the item is fake, the missing serial number, the lettering not done correctly, 2 days later they decided it is authentic, nobody really examined the actual item. The seller (who possibly found it in a charity shop) has the money, I am out of my money with no way to reach them as they only give automatic answers. I got in touch with Burberry regarding authenticity checks and was told that with a missing serial number an item has to be physically checked to be declared authentic - this is from BURBERRY they know their own items, yet some website thinks by looking at pictures they can declare something as authentic! Even if the pictures show this item is not authentic!
Furthermore the bag was sold as new without tags, how can a bag that is new without tags have signs of use and smell also a stain!
Since somebody has thoughtfully provided the address of Vinted (I was looking for it everywhere) I have now contacted Citizens Advice.

My experience with the site was a mixed bag, I sold 2 designer items, got the money and the buyer's were happy, when I bought I got a lot of rubbish, especially when it was small items, some of them obviously damaged (sunglasses with the arms missing as they had no screws - never disclosed) because the seller figured sending it back will cost you money...

Full of scammers!

I sent a parcel P2G******* over a month ago, they claimed they couldn't find the address, a quick google showed the address as valid, apparently the parcel was then returned, after losing it a few times, there has been no update on the site for 11 days, I contacted their customer service (which is quite a joke) AGAIN, about that I have not my parcel back, reply "It is being returned" I asked when and where on earth is it, why is there no update, reply "It hasn't been returned to you" - oh the genius of that. So apparently for close to 2 weeks the parcel has been found but doesn't move, but it isn't lost and they don't know where it is or when I might get it back.
I left a review on Trustpilot, gave the parcel number, they then pestered me with a ton of questions, stuff they should know, regarding the number, my email, then more pointless questions just stalling for time, then reported the review as false (I did send Trustpilot the proof of purchase but since Parcel2Go pays them, not sure if that matters) and apparently that stops you from reviewing them in the future. What an upright and honest company, so as long as they claim your parcel isn't lost, despite the fact that it hasn't been delivered to the address or back to you (again they didn't even make a delivery attempt), you can't claim (so no point in insuring it if they won't let you claim) - they have no problem charging for a service they do not plan to deliver. Attached is my proof of purchase, however I have blanked out my address details as this is sensitive information!
