Buyers beware when you order online fromTarget and have it shipped to the store. No where in the initial e-mail confirming my online order did it state that there would be a deadline that I had to pick up my order. Then once my order was delivered to the store, the next e-mail just said to pick it up by a certain date (it did not state that it would be sent back if not picked up). Then the third e-mail said "last chance to pick up your order" and then the fourth e-mail stated that the item was sent back. Target gives you only two days to pick up your order. I was out of town and hoping to pick up the item when I returned, but it was sent back (this was a Christmas gift). So, now I'm without a gift and if I were to reorder the same item, it would be after Christmas before the item would get to the store. This is bad business on Target's part. They need to change their policy or make sure that when people order online and have it delivered to the store that they state on your order form that you only have two days to pick up your item. I am very disappointed in Target and will not order from them again!
Target.com tell us about the target we forsee in our future business. The target we are expecting to achieve at the same time and to also accept other challenge that might arises
I have been shopping on target website and I have no complaints. Gabriel Culiat believes it is easy to navigate and place orders. My items always arrive quickly and they always have the best prices.
Some things you can only get at a large department store and since there isn't a Walmart anywhere within reach of downtown Boston, I'm headed to Target.
I have been choosing to shop at Target over Walmart lately b/c it is generally more pleasant and provides higher customer service. I also have a long time Redcard account w/auto shipments. Last night I made a simple purchase and wanted to be in and out, as I am having a knee issue which makes prolonged standing painful. After standing in line once, the cashier made a simple mistake and overcharged me by about $10. She recognized this, but unlike when this happens at say the grocery store, she insisted I wait in another line for returns! After doing so, and explaining that I didn't see why I had to wait in 2 lines for their mistake, and explaining my medical challenge, the 2nd cashier made no eye contact, no real apology, and mindlessly mumbled have a nice night as I walked off. Ofcourse, they don't know me personally, however I am a customer, w/other shopping options, AND some concern could be shown for how I was inconvenienced, no? BTW, the last time I shopped here the absent minded cashier knocked over my glassware purchase, which unlike all my other glassware purchases, I had to then wrap myself, and overcharged me as well.
Again I choose Target, b/c I want better service than Walmart. What is going on here?
Target is not what it used to be-I prefer to go into the actual store and look at merchandise-the problem I have had online is often the things I want aren't available or sold out
They are PERFECT... lol I know I said in a review earlier I would not say that. But TARGET... or as my friends and I say TAR'JE... lol PERFECTION>. Nuthing but PERFECTION. I'd click on 10 STARS if I HAD to... I LOVE THEM AND THE "COLABS" they do with other main stream or high end DESIGNERS... no words. F'N AWESUM!
Very disappointed. I don't normally shop at Target but I saw online a white kitchen step pedal trash can exactly what I was looking for. When it was delivered, UPS stuck it in by back enclosed porch. All my deliveries I ever get are left on my front step on my welcome mat. The box was damaged a bit and I noticed the packing tape was short and not taped all the way around. When I opened it the trash can was upside down with no Styrofoam keeping it in place, plus there was no lid. I went to my local target store to see what they could do for me and I brought it in its delivery box. I told the girl I needed the top to it and wanted to keep it. She ignored me and took the barcode on my cellphone and scanned it for a refund. She wasn't listening to me. I showed her the receipt on the phone cause that's what they told me to do over the phone when I bring it in. A clerk there from return department walked over to the isle the trash cans were and there was my lid. It was missing the trash can. I had the trash can but the lid was at the store on the shelf, very strange. I told the lady at the return desk what happened she offered no apology or a possible explanation. I said I wanted to make a complaint. Anyway I got my lid and trash can and I love the trash can just not the UPS delivery of it or the customer service at the Enfield store.
So, I broke my watch. Ordered a smart watch from Target.com, since Target claims free 2-day shipping. I ordered on a Monday. E-mail confirmation stated it would be at my house by Thursday. Makes sense... ships Tuesday and comes Thursday. On Weds, I get an e-mail that my order is delayed. Ok, that's fine, sh*t happens. It shipped Thursday, so I assumed it should be at my house Saturday (2 days). I checked the tracking to make sure and it is scheduled to be delivered on TUESDAY, 8 DAYS after I made the order! That is NOT 2-day shipping! I specifically chose 2 day shipping so I wouldn't have to run too many errands on my busy weeknights. Now that it's being delivered next week, it's pointless because now I have the weekend convenience to go into the store buy one myself! But I can't because the delayed one is on its way! So now I'm just waiting stupidly. Please don't claim 2-day shipping if you can't adhere to it. Even if there is a delay BEFORE shipment, slap an expedited label on the shipment to adhere to the claim. I know sh*t happens, but I can't trust Target to deliver on time anymore. I even chatted with someone on Target.com to cancel the shipment, and they said it already shipped, giving gave me a vague answer as to why there was a delay.
Thinking of buying some of these (they look a bit expensive though) Nature Babycare Eco-Friendly Baby Diapers Case; anybody out there tried them please?
Nici
I have not ever had a less than perfect experience with Target & I have a redcard with them as well. I love the brands they carry and they are fast in delivery!
I gave target.com another chance recently, actually a few chances, and it was as different as night and day from what it was before. They sent the orders immediately and they arrived very fast, I think it was overnight after the day they were shipped. Unfortunately, I had to return the items, which were mostly clothes because they turned out to be different to what I thought I was ordering and also were the wrong size, but returning for the most part was super easy and free. I shop at target and took them with me and got immediate refunds. I only had one problem incident when some people didn't know how to do returns of rings and told me to return them to the manufacturer (as though I'd know who that was) because there weren't any barcodes on the rings and they clearly didn't believe I'd bought them from target. I didn't realise at the time that there was a return barcode on the receipt for them to use, but they should have known that. The only drawback to returns is having to take them to ups if you don't go to target. It's free for the shipping label, though, and since I happened to have ups coming to my house at just the right time, I got them to take that return with them, and once ups verified that they had the returned items, target emailed me that they were refunding my money.
Where do I begin? Although I like shopping in person at target, the experiences I have had buying from their website have never once gone smoothly. I have bought folding bar stools that were sent to me already broken or otherwise damaged, which had clearly already happened before they sent them to me, with a major hassle sending them back. I've bought a warranty for an mp3 player at the same time as an mp3 player which was faulty and had to be returned, and I never did get back the cost of the warranty for it. They wouldn't just refund it the way I paid for it online. They refused to do that. They wanted to put me through so much aggro and time-consuming inconvenience, sending all sorts of paperwork to them by snail mail, that it never got done. I think that was the goal they wanted to achieve. I ordered a futon that arrived with damage, and I had bought it on sale. They wouldn't just replace it. They will only give refunds. I was supposed to order it again if I wanted it, and I wasn't going to get the much better price that I'd paid when I got the damaged one. I bought some cushions on sale which got damaged en route by fedex and which were returned to target without anybody ever notifying me, and if I hadn't been following the tracking, I wouldn't have known what had happened to them. Once again they wouldn't replace the cushions. They wanted me to reorder them, and in the meantime the price had gone up by quite a bit. A live chat person told me he would give me the sale price if I reordered them, but I didn't trust him because I'd had that happen before with an item when they still ended up charging me more than the price I'd paid for the damaged item I'd received. I'd bought another futon, trying again, and it had broken legs, so I had to go through a huge hassle getting some replacement legs, not from target, who wouldn't get them for me, target wanted the entire futon returned to them, but from the company who distribute the futon, and that was after a major struggle with them. The cushions were the most recent, and I told that man on live chat who had claimed he would honour the sale price if I reordered, that I had had enough of target.com. I was also expected to wait for the refund for quite a while. There was another instance when I was sent an egiftcard because a purchase I made on target.com that I was never able to use in a target store. I was told various things by various target online support staff about whether I could or couldn't use it in a target store, they told me opposite things, and I ended up having to use it online because I could never find a way of being able to use it in a store, which was where I really wanted to use it. There was another occasion when they were having a sale on their website of some food bars but the sale price was only on their website and I had to go to a target store to collect them in order to pay the lower price. They turned that into a time-consuming hassle and long wait at the store. These are the main things that come to mind right now. Terrible, terrible website. I don't plan to ever use it again.
I ordered an ipad this year on Dec 24 to ship to a store nearby. It says the item will arrive Dec 29-Jan 2. Since I am only on a trip here until the 2nd, I figured that would give it just enough time. BUT NO. The website sneakily updated the arrival date to Jan 4 a few days later. I called customer service to ask where the ipad was, and nobody seemed to have an idea. I said I would not be able to pick up after Jan 2, the staff offered to re-order a new ipad for me honoring my original price (it was on sale during christmas) and ship to Hong Kong for me for free. Great. Then I had to talk to two more people of different departments, only to be told that since they don't ship digital items internationally anymore, there's no way they can do that for me. I asked if I can get any reimbursement in one form of another for my lose (shipping to HK by a friend) and the frustration in all this, she just flat out rejected me. Really? This is the $#*!test retail store there ever is on earth. Big fat corporate mongol lying and stealing hard-earned money from our pockets. I wish they go bankrupt ASAP. NEVER SHOP THERE, unless you want a load of troubles and have extra cash to drop.
I orderedshoes but the size was bit small to me even im size 7. I never return it maybe i will give it to my friend as a gift the experienced was good too
I love to be able to stack coupons from manufacturers and from target and then use cartwheel and the added 5% if you link your bank to a target debit card. So if youre looking to STRETCH your budget go to TARGET
We ordered a TV on the 8th of December for pick up at a local store. We were given the location and a time of 8pm. We didn't receive the email it's ready for pick up. Instead we got an email stating it will be shipped and delivered by Thursday at that point we were annoyed but not mad. We called target and they said to call a different number they have no way to check on delivered products. When I called the provided number I was told it has not been shipped and I can wait a couple days to see if it ships. Then was told since we did the delivery option which we did not pick we can't go pick up at any store. They have been paid and said if we start the refund process it will take 7 to 10 business days! I have heard from no one and have had no help in resolving. This was the most unethical transaction We have experienced. We are hoping to have the TV in time for Christmas. This is an experience will not have again because we will not buy from them again! I will recommend to all my family and friends to avoid Target as a whole! In store and on line!
I had some returns and for some reason it never got add it to my account. Really disappointed customer service couldn't help me. And customer service phone sucks.
I used Target.com and opted for Store Pick up. I used two coupons when I checked out. It seemed to go well until I got an email saying a couple of items couldn't be found at the store, so I opted to have those shipped. Once we got to the store to pick up the items that were there, two were missing. The store claimed to have no record of them despite us showing the order summary. I came home to an email saying that we had picked up the items and how much our card was charged, which was $10 more than the order summary stated. $10 more and we didn't get two items in the store or the three that were shipping later. So, we were incredibly over-charged. I went online to the chat person who offered a refund of the two items, but could do nothing about being overcharged, but then she couldn't process the refund because it hadn't been 24 hours. She told us to call and that they could process it right away. When we called, they told us that they could do nothing for us until they spoke with the store and then we would have to call them back in 24 hours. So, as of now, I have saved absolutely no time, I don't have the five of the items I purchased and my card was overcharged. I would definitely not recommend Target.com to anyone.
I have bad experience at Target South Bay Guest Service.
The employee name Deliza provided a poor guest service.
I bought wrong size of clothes for my daughter, and I needed to exchange to the right size. I lost one of the price tag but I have receipt with me. Deliza did not check the receipt and the price tag on the same product that I wanted to exchange to the other size. She asked me with her rude voice and face gesture that I have to have the price tag that I lost. After I explained to her that she can check the receipt and price tag, she did the return for me with nasty attitude. She slapped on the price tags, that I gave her which I did not loose, to throw them on the floor.
I love Target and like to shop here. I think this employee needs to be trained about customer service skill and she also needs to be professional.
I tried to do the return survey on the Target survey website, but it said my survey is expired although it just happened yesterday, and on the receipt appears that 02/24/2020 and expired on 05/24/20.
I ordered one thing Dec 3rd, it is Dec 21st and I have not received it. No one seems to know where it is! Never again will I order online from Target.
Answer: Looks like Target has sent a lot of ringers here to up their ratings in the last few months. Nice try guys but your whole shopping experience is still subpar. To answer this question, IT DEPENDS on where you live and what you order. If you're right next to their warehouse, SURPRISE, it's there in a day and you think they are fantastic. If you live far away, the item is no longer in stock or they are slow to fill it, it could take six weeks. It did for us on a couple of occasions, SO it's the luck of the draw and certainly NOT better than Amazon.

Answer: Be careful. If the item suddenly becomes unavailable that you already paid for you will have to wait 30 days for your refund.
Answer: Sometime from other sites, malware can be picked up to track your internet history. I don't think target's website would carry that!
Answer: I'm sorry. I ordered a lot from target.com and never had a problembefore, but when I finally did have a problem... hours and days on the phone. One of the service techs put me on hold for 30 minutes. Another put me on hold for 15 minutes and then hung up. Horrible.
Answer: I was unable to purchase a prepaid phone card with my gift card. This fact was not disclosed in the product description so I found out at the checkout when it was too late. Now am stuck with the useless gift card. I am very disappointed in Target shopping and will never buy anything from them ever again. I do not recommend Target shopping to anyone. Spare yourself some aggravation and shop elsewhere. Enough said.
Target has a rating of 2.2 stars from 1,742 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Target most frequently mention customer service, gift card and online order. Target ranks 7th among Department Store sites.
