Awful service from stubhub international I ordered football tickets paid £600 for them almost 2 weeks in advance, no delivery came I called them 2 days before the event they said they had missed s part of my address however I gave the lady my new email address the day after I brought the tickets even with a email confirmation. They are rude to talk to on the phone and don't want to help you. The only people what helped was the English side who don't deal with football which is extremely annoying! So my tickets never came even though promised by 3 different people that they would. The seller also let me know they only contacted him the day of the event to send them! I am no getting my bank to get the money back for me after not only ruining my partners birthday surprise trying to get a refund for their mistake is impossible! I have left 3 emails since and no one has replied to give my money back?
DO NOT BUY TICKETS FROM HERE YOU WILL NOT GET THEM, YOU WILL ALSO DEAL WITH THEIR RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM AND HAVE TO FIGHT TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK FROM THESE SCAMMERS!
I have used Stubhub as a buyer before and it's been fine. Today I used them as a seller. I posted tickets for sale and quickly realized my mistake that I could not sell them. Unfortunately, they sold within ten minutes. I tried to cancel the sale immediately and noticed that I would be charged the ENTIRE cost of sale for my mistake. I had no protection as a seller. I contacted Stubhub to ask about this and they simply said I would be charged. I got off the phone trying to work out a solution and got an email saying that Stubhub canceled my sale and we're taking the money from my account for a canceled sale. I did not authorize this. I called them back and said that i did not authorize this, to repost and refund my money and I was simply told no. Then, I was told that the original tickets I was going to sell were not side by side so it was an allowed sale.
So 1. No protection for sellers. 2. They will cancel and charge you for a sale when you have not authorized it. 3. Instead of having systems in place to keep sellers for posting something the company wouldn't sell in the first place, they will let you post, cancel it and take your money.
Stubhub is terrible.
I bought tickets $242.29 for the Rain Beatle tribute band on May 2 Irving Texas.
The event was cancelled ( clearly states it on the Rain Beatle tribute band's website.
Called Stubhub for a refund on May 1 and talked to rep who stated I would receive a full cash refund and not to worry. I'd receive an email regarding my status.
No calls or emails so I called back on May 22 and rep told me, "no cash but a coupon". Also tried to tell me that the event WASNT CANCELLED. So I'm in limbo indefinitely till they notify me.
Keep in mind it says cancelled clearly on the bands website ( Go to Rain Beatle Tribute band May 2,2020 to confirm). Seems like Stubhub will go bankrupt and take my money and all their sorry excuses with them. They've already laid off 2/3rds of their staff( just google it ESPN article).
I won't be using them if they survive. I've learned go to the venue day of or skip the event. The days of purchasing tickets months in advance while you hope they will do the right thing are over.
If you really want to be shocked read reviews under consumer affairs customer service - THE WHOLE COMPANY IS CORRUPT - Reminds me on ENRON
Look up Stubhub on YouTube - shocking.
Amateurs. This website just doesn't work most of the time! Can't log in can't reset my password and!
This website sold me duplicates of the same ticket. Ruined my trip and vacation and only offered refund.
There are plenty of better places to sell your tickets than StubHub. Getting your money is virtually impossible.
Cancelled my order before the concert and just refunded the money. Horrible service will never use again obviously.
Never buying from them again. Would not refund my money. Lost over $300! Poor business. Don't use them!
While attempting to purchase tickets to see Jerry Seinfeld for my wife's birthday on June 1 I found a show in my city for June 8. I found 2 seats orchestra 5th row. As I was purchasing them the app said "sorry those tickets are no longer available" or words to that effect. I went back to look for 2 seats and found 4th row orchestra for $20 more per ticket.
As I was about to complete this transaction I got a message from the app "You've already purchased tickets to this event are you sure you want 2 more tickets. I figured I got the 5th row seats and went about my business.
A couple of hours later I got an email from Tripit asking if I was prepared for the Seinfeld show on April 13th. What?!
I didn't order for that date. I will be out of the country on that date. I immediately called StumpHump and explained what happened. They told me "Give our tech department 48 hours to review your purchase" 77 hours go by so I call customer service. I speak with Mike the supervisor who first tells me tech is still reviewing but that the app never malfunctions and I could list the tickets to sell!?
If the app never malfunctions what were they reviewing? I have since read several reviews where other people experienced precisely the same app malfunction that I did.
So my tickets are up for sale on SeatGeak. Look at their reviews on the app store. Way better than StumpHump.
I have been a StubHub customer for many years. I decided to purchase Barbara Streisand tickets half an hour ago for $139.50 each. As I am CHECKING OUT and PAYING, they raised the price to $200 per ticket. I refreshed the page but the tickets were still priced at $139.50. I called StubHub and was unfortunate enough to receive an extremely rude male employee with a thick eastern European accent who put me on hold for nearly half an hour only to tell me that the ticket seller has the right to raise the ticket prices even if they are mid checkout. Apparently, price gouging is totally legal and acceptable on this site. I sent him a screenshot of the tickets on their site for $139.50. I asked him if it would be OK for him to shop on my site, purchase tickets for one price, and then have me hike them up $100 WHILE he is PAYING for them. He said "No, that would not be OK". Then WHY is it OK for them to do it? How did the conversation end, you ask? HE HUNG UP ON ME AFTER LAUGHING ABOUT IT TO HIS COWORKER ON THE PHONE WITH ME. THAT is StubHub! BUYER BEWARE, and always surf in incognito mode since STUBHUB is NOT above price gouging and unfair business practices, as well as EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL employees. NEVER shopping with them again!
Horrible customer service. Excuse after excuse and still no payment. I would give zero stars if possible. I will never sell tickets with them again
Bought Florida georgia line tix on July 10,3 days before the show. As of noon July 13, still no tickets. I call the rep and she says seller's phone goes to voicemail. They will give me comparable tickets she claims. My tickets were first row of the section and we paid a premium for that. She offers me 21st row of a worse section and tells me thats the best they have left at this point. Then she says call back in an hour and they will try seller again. I call back 75 mins later and the seller is still not answering. By dumb luck looking for seats on other sites we find my exact seats for sale for $800, more than twice what we paid for them. Obviously the seller realized the show became a hot show and he could make more. Stubhub says there is nothing they can do, sorry. Meantime I drove 3 hours the night before and rented a hotel room for the two nights. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. I told the stubhub rep I would never buy from Stubhub again because of this. He said sorry again and we hung up. 15 minutes later I went to log back in to my account because I got a text from Stubhub saying my account had been updated. THE REP DELETED MY ACCOUNT. I sent a letter to StubHub customer service and claims. No response, crickets, not a word. Stay awake from these people unless you want to deal with headaches. Terrible customer service. THE FAN PROTECT GUARANTEE IS WORTH NOTHING, you are not protected.
I purchased NBA tickets for 2 games scheduled in March, but due to COVID-19 it didn't happen. I waited 2 months with no response from stubhub so I had no choice but to take action. There is a pandemic going on and no one can afford to waste money at this time so I disputed the charge with my bank. Between May 7-10 I also purchased 2 tickets for the NFL season. The morning of May 12th I was locked out of my stubhub account and was told that since I filed a chargeback for the NBA tickets, my account would be disabled and that I'll have to drop the dispute with my bank in order to access my account again. I won't drop the dispute because the money was mine and the event never happened and stubhub failed to keep customers informed on what's going on. If disabling my account is a part of their policy if you file a dispute with the bank then that's no problem, They can keep the account I can care less but how can they lock it right after I just purchased NFL tickets? Technically the tickets are mine because I paid for them and stubhub accepted the payment with no problem. I'm just asking for either a refund for the tickets that I paid for or to release the tickets. How can you keep my money and not give me access to the tickets that I paid for, and claim the only that they can give me my tickets from the now disabled account is to drop the chargeback from my bank. That's extortion and robbery.
Brought Parking tic. For a FB game. Lot was 1.5 miles away from where it stated. Paid $132 4 a $40 lot
I purchased from StubHub four lower level, sideline tickets to the Peach Bowl. I printed the tickets, and considered it a done deal. Several days later (the morning of the game), I received an email and a call from StubHub telling me that the seller of the tickets claims that he cancelled the listing, and was refusing to part with the tickets. StubHub offered to replace the tickets with four lower level tickets in the CORNER. I pulled up the StubHub website while I was speaking with the stubHub representative, and I pointed out that they had four sideline (not corner) tickets that were available in another section. StubHub refused to replace my tickets with the other sideline tickets. The StubHub representative explained that StubHub is merely a broker, and that StubHub does not carry an inventory of tickets. StubHub gave me four replacement tickets in the corner, and refunded a small portion of the purchase price.
The take away -- you, too, could receive a call from StubHub on Gameday telling you that your tickets are not valid.
I had misplaced physical tickets mailed to me from a HubStub purchase, traveling out of state to Lakers game. I called customer service, was told that they couldn't do anything to replace tickets but could try to show Staples Center ticket office my HubStub receipt and seats for reprints. At Staples office, I was told that my seats were actually resold on the Lakers ticket exchange and I wouldn't have been allowed entry even if I had the physical tickets, as they were scanned already. So I purchased tickets I couldn't use from HubStub. I called back HubStub customer service, and instead of investigating the seller who sold me tickets, the rep kept questioning me on my story and intimated that I was lying or trying to get money back. This is ridiculous, being turned down at the game with 5 people in my party, after driving 7 hours and paying over $620. StubHub not investigating the seller is maddening. I will never use StubHub again and I would recommend anyone who is reading this to get tickets using another method.
Luis this is not the experience we want our customers to have! We will private message you here for your account information so that we can take a look for you
StubHub does not vet sellers. Scammers use this site to sell the same tickets to multiple buyers. I should know. It happened to me.
5 minutes after my order I realized I made a mistake. There is no window to cancel. They need to make that more obvious.
I have contacted Citizen advise to sue StubHub. They asked me to email the issue to
CMA - *******@cma.gov.uk
CMA investigate unfair trade.
My experience with StubHub: I saw ticket selling out soon and bought tickets from Stubhub paying 899 pounds for a Bronze ticket for ICC world cup 2019. Stubbub started selling the same tickets for 399 later after few months. And even the Gold tickets were cheaper than what I paid. No seat details received. They said the sale is final and no returns/refund/cancellation of the ticket regardless of any issue after the sale.
CMA is currently investigating below issues related to these type of websites. It includes the below points
1. It must be clear if there are restrictions on using a resold ticket that could result in buyers being denied access to an event;
2. People should know whom they are buying from for example if the seller is a business and/or an event organiser and can benefit from their legal rights; and customers need to be told where exactly in a venue they will be seated.
3. pressure selling whether claims made about the availability and popularity of tickets create a misleading impression or rush customers into making a buying decision;
4. Difficulties for customers in getting their money back under a website's guarantee;
5. Speculative selling where businesses advertise tickets for sale that they do not yet own and therefore may not be able to supply
6. Concerns about whether the organizers of some sporting events have sold tickets as a primary seller directly through a secondary ticket website, without making this clear to consumers.
Hope it helps people like us to protect consumer rights from these money robbers.
If you have problems they will only offer a credit to buy the same tickets at a HIGHER PRICE! BAIT AND SWITCH SCAM! WATCH OUT! FANPROTECT GUARANTEE IS A JOKE!
Answer: That's my assumption. Some other people on this site might be able to answer that from actual experience.
Answer: They sell tickets they do not actually have yet. They started selling tickets for a Garth Brooks concert in Salt Lake City before tickets even went on sale. They have no way of knowing if they will actually get tickets to fulfill orders, and just cancel the order the day before the event if they don't have the tickets. Its pretty much a gamble with Stub Hub if you will get your tickets or not.
Answer: Stub hub only does resales so they can rip off the seller as well as the buyer
Answer: Hello Gisela! We aren't able to have you sell will call as an ID will need to be presented for pick up. Hope this helps!
Answer: Hi Rachael, If you purchase a ticket labeled as Instant Download you will receive your ticket as soon as you order. If you purchase a mobile ticket or electronic download then you will be notified when your ticket is ready. Which would be no later than the date advised when you purchase. It is very rare to not have your ticket prior to the day of event. There are only a select few shows that require ticket delivery day of event. I hope this helps and we are here to assist if you have any additional questions!
Answer: Some of these sellers do not own the actual tickets so they are buying time to get the tickets from someone else who can't attend the event and wants to sell their tickets.
