I HAD a good experience with StubHub until recently! NOT sure what has happend. I have Dallas Cowboy tickets, 50 yd. Line, and sell them frequently. I have sold two games for which I have NOT been paid. I call, email, and no check! I was told the check was sent August 11, still no check. I have removed all my games from thier site and sent certifeid demand letter. NOT GOOD!
NOT DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM IN THE FUTURE and will NOT list with them in the future.
Bought tickets from stubhub only to find out the concert was canceled and they wouldn't issue a refund, real shady company especially with their 'money back guarantee' which is non-existent.
I WAS GIVEN MISINFORMATION BY THREE IDIOT REPS WHO HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THERE TALKING ABOUT AND NOW IM NOT GETTING MY MONEY BACK FOR SIX MONTHS! NEVER USING STUBHUB AGAIN FIRST AND LAST TIME
After 6 days and 8 expedited support tickets stubhub has been unable to fix their map so I can list my tickets - cost me over a thousand dollars!
They sell tickets for events that have not officially went on sale along with the seats for which there is no guarantee you will actually get. THATS BAD BUSINESS!
Very bad eperience. I have spent 4796 pounds on tickets. Never got tickets neither refund! Support don't want to deal with my case.
Slow purchase time. A lot of extra fees. Tickets are overpriced. Website times out quickly. Required minimum seats to purchase is annoying.
Three hour wait time to talk to customer service. Horrendous. Don't use them. Transferring mobile tickets is not self explanatory. Terrible
Bought two tickets never received they gave me a song and dance about we cant reprint and your out 240 dollars
BUYER BEWARE! I paid $US250 in total in mid November for what I thought were excellent tickets to the New York Ballet: The Nutcracker. According to posting Tracker on the booking receipt number that I immediately received at booking, printed tickets were to be delivered within 14 days to my home in Australia. The tickets NEVER arrived. I gave it a few more days. Had 2 chats online, which were not helpful. With one I was disconnected, the other woman kept telling me to ring, not understanding our time zone from Aust to US is very different. I gave up, thinking I deal with it when in NYC. 2 chats online were unhelpful, and I was dismissed with no follow up. I was told online that being a 'fan for fan' marketplace they would attempt to contact the seller. But then I was dismissed online, and could not reconnect. Very odd & unusual; I have never had this before with online sales. I had been stupid & not investigated Stubhub myself. Phone calls in NYC to Stubhub told me I should have contacted them within 7 days for the non delivery of the tickets; that Stubhub could do & would do nothing.
I did go to the ballet, in the hope that they might verify the seats from the booking reference number. But NO. The NYC Ballet Ticket office said they could not verify the seats as the booking receipt number had no allocated seats.
Oh, the ballet was superb, albeit a VERY COSTLY experience. BUYER BEWARE!
Don't trust them--they sent me the wrong ticket--they are full of apologies and hot air---we had to miss the event
I bought tickets to a UT volleyball game. Stubhub failed to notify me that the time changed from 7pm to 1pm and then kept my money when I missed the game. DON'T EVER BUY FROM STUBHUB! I regret trusting these total shysters with my hard-earned money.
I'm posting about the facts of my experience here as a warning to others, since I have tried to do the same on the StubHub community forum and the company removes my posts every time (why would they do that, I wonder?). I purchased front row tickets to Dead & Company at Saratoga Springs on June 18,2023 about 9 months prior for $3,000 total (2 tickets, plus StubHub's massive "service fees"). I also booked a hotel in Saratoga for the event since the venue is about a 4 hour drive from my home. On June 17 (24 hours before the show) when the tickets were scheduled to be transferred, they did not arrive. I spent probably 3 hours attempting to speak to customer service, being put on hold and getting dropped. I was told by customer service that they had spoken to the seller / owner of the tickets and that he would "resend" them (although I had not received an email in the first place). This was not true, and over the next day and multiple calls to customer service, StubHub finally admitted 5 hours before showtime that they did not have PIT tickets to give me (which I paid for 9 months prior). They offered me $30 lawn tickets as a replacement! I thought they were joking. Meanwhile, they listed many orchestra level tickets on their site that they would not offer as compensation. This would seem to contradict their claim that they "go above and beyond" to replace tickets. Basically, StubHub will take your money for tickets and give themselves a one-way option to sell them at a higher price later if they can, and will only tell you a few hours before your event that you don't have the tickets you thought you had paid for, had planned around and were waiting for. Sure, they might give you a refund weeks later, but meanwhile you are missing the event you spent a lot of money to attend. You have no recourse. And their incentive is to do this over and over because they can't lose. I hope this saves others the same agony, frustration and disappointment we experienced. These are not honest people. They exist to rip off fans of music. Stay far away. These are all true facts. My order number is *******.
I purchased Petty tickets on 8/31... seller was to mail 2-day and I was to receive by the day before concert. Got a call from STUBHUC SUX tonight after their business hours saying the seller couldn't get the tickets... WHAT? Really? But you have had my money for 3+ weeks... But, lucky me, they offer me WORSE tickets with no extra charge to me. How wonderful... NOT! Classic bait & switch... but to do this within a day before the concert? The seller is a scammer and STUBHUB facilitates this bait and switch and the fraud being committed by these sellers. So upset and angry... Wouldn't be such an issue but this could possibly be my last Heartbreakers concert... to have greed and fraud ruin this... Horrible customer service - STAY AWAY FROM STUBHUB
Not to mention hidden fees - you buy 2 tickets for 1100 each so 2200 total and by the time you check out it is 2600+... oh but wait,,,, if you page through the help section there is a tiny section on how to turn on the option to see the total cost BEFORE you check out - WOW what a f&$king concept...
This was the first time I have ever used StubHub and am sooo sorry I did not do my homework. Had I looked at their ratings I never would have used this service/company. First I list my tickets I wanted to sell, but couldn't upload the PDF tickets and said I would try again later. Several days later when I went to upload my tickets I could not find my listing anywhere. None of my friends could either. So I listed my tickets again and was able to upload the tickets this time. This second attempt worked great, but I could not ever tell if the tickets sold. Finally on the day of the event I found an email asking me for the tickets from the first posting (that I thought had been taken down for missing the upload date). So I went in and canceled the first sale that did not have the tickets on them. Apparently if you double list the tickets, even if you cannot find your listing or upload the tickets you are more than 100% penalized. I have now been told I still owe them $17.50. After more than 4 calls and 6 hours on the phone and terrible phone connections. I have been told that yes I owe them money. Do not use this company. They are crooks!
My friends and I decided to pool some money towards Raptors tickets for game 5 of the Warriors/Raptors game and thought it would be cool to attend such a crazy playoff game. For anyone who understands the significance of this, it was really disheartening to hear that after midnight (Quite a while after the raptors win which led to game 5 being the potential last game for the raptors), Stubhub contacts me and says there is a security issue with my Raptors tickets on a guest account.
I open the support email immediately as I receive it and upon explaining that I had purchased the tickets with no issue etc. the "Live Assistance" provider told me that he would connect me with the trust safety team of stubhub.
However, this team responds "within 24 hours" and when I asked if my tickets were still locked and held for me (Since I purchased them and had no issues on my end or my bank's end) and he alerted me that they were re-listed into the selling pool.
It is disgusting to see that this happened only after the Raptors won game 4 and stubhub apparently had no issue with my account until the tickets tripled in value.
This was not an issue with my bank as I have done several high volume payments before and my bank/card never bounces or has problems with transactions. I had even contacted my bank after my live chat with Stubhub and they alerted me that there was no concern for fraud on their end and this was an issue with the Stubhub security team.
I am unsure if stubhub is attempting to scam clients in games where ticket prices are volatile and relist tickets for a higher price because I have literally no understanding of why they would "temporarily lock" my account and then instantly re-sell the tickets at three times the price.
I hope people see this and make better decisions before buying high-value tickets to playoff sports outings and events.
Well, what a giant con this site is.
Here's what happened to me...
I had three tickets to sell, as an issue came up which meant our group of four were unable to attend this gig together. I tried Ebay and was directed to Stubhub. Sorted my registration and listed the tickets at well below the face value, simply to enable a sale to be made. These were listed on Stubhub on Friday 12/07/2013, and, sold on Saturday 13/07/2013. The tickets sold separately as one single ticket and as a pair. On the Monday evening, I was unable to find one of the tickets, and so called Stubhub to inform them. They said that due to more than 48 hours lapsing, I could be liable for "additional fees". I also on the same Tuesday received an email stating that I must send the tickets straight away or face "consequences" and possible charges. The line "you said you'd be able to send these tickets by Friday 12/07/2013" was also in the email, even though I only received the email notifying me the tickets were sold the day after on Saturday afternoon. Why, to who and to where, would I send tickets that I had not yet sold.?
After this, I received another email from Stubhub stating that they were charging my card on file £44, which was the "additional" cost of them sourcing tickets for their buyer. This made the ticket price £90, when in fact, the gig had not even sold out and tickets were still available at Ticketmaster for £60. When I questioned this, I was told that Stubhub would only source tickets from... you guessed it... Stubhub.
This to me appears like a complete stitch-up, as they can then claim the replacement ticket they source cost any amount whatsoever, without anyone really being able to know what the price actually is / was.
This was my first and last experience of this business, I got burnt and will not use them again. I actually called them to "air my views" and told them I'd rather burn any tickets and lose the money than deal with them again.
Stubhub cannot be trusted. Deal with these people at your own risk.
So disappointed I called to ask where Is our ticket they just replied we dont know we are just a third party. But I give you my money?
My boyfriend bought floor(pit) tickets to Luke Combs Concert for June 10th 2023 at Arrowhead Stadium KC months prior to the show. They emailed him the tickers and he printed them off. We get to the venue and they don't take paper tickets so we get into email for mobile tickets, Svan them and it says they are invalid tickets. The tell us to contact stub hub and they will resend the correct tickets. The original tickets had the.QR codes and they needed to be tickets with the bar codes. We sit on the phone on hold for over and hour. When we finally talk to someone they send a link for us to choose our seats for the new tickets. There are no pit tickets available and they tell us we have to choose from the seats available. The new seats were up in the stands in the very back. We already had our spots reserved in the pit so they wanted us to choose seats away from where we originally purchased tickets for. Mind u, we paid $600 for pit tickets. So they tell us we can get those seats or get a refund and the refund take 7-10 business days. We drive two hours to KC, got a hotel room for our stay. We paid $65 for parking. We lost almost $1000 as of right now but if we do get our money back we will still be out almost $400 for the trip and parking. I WILL NEVER USE STUB HUB AGAIN!
Answer: That's my assumption. Some other people on this site might be able to answer that from actual experience.
Answer: They sell tickets they do not actually have yet. They started selling tickets for a Garth Brooks concert in Salt Lake City before tickets even went on sale. They have no way of knowing if they will actually get tickets to fulfill orders, and just cancel the order the day before the event if they don't have the tickets. Its pretty much a gamble with Stub Hub if you will get your tickets or not.
Answer: Stub hub only does resales so they can rip off the seller as well as the buyer
Answer: Hello Gisela! We aren't able to have you sell will call as an ID will need to be presented for pick up. Hope this helps!
Answer: Hi Rachael, If you purchase a ticket labeled as Instant Download you will receive your ticket as soon as you order. If you purchase a mobile ticket or electronic download then you will be notified when your ticket is ready. Which would be no later than the date advised when you purchase. It is very rare to not have your ticket prior to the day of event. There are only a select few shows that require ticket delivery day of event. I hope this helps and we are here to assist if you have any additional questions!
Answer: Some of these sellers do not own the actual tickets so they are buying time to get the tickets from someone else who can't attend the event and wants to sell their tickets.
