I inadvertently purchased tickets from StubHub for a concert. I was actually on the artists website to purchase the tickets. I looked over the available tickets and decided to get 4 tickets. I liked the price and everything seemed legit. However once I put my credit card information in and clicked cash out I got a receipt that added a considerable amount of fees on each ticket then the following day after purchasing the tickets I get an email from StubHub stating that my tickets were now ready and I would be receiving an email from a third party and that's where I would get my tickets. Also in fine print in the email it states that StubHub is not responsible nor would fraudulent tickets be honored...so I basically already felt scammed. A few hours later I received an email from Ticketmaster directing me to click "accept" to aquire my tickets from someone named Mark. I absolutely refuse to click on accept...I have no promise that these tickets are even legitimate. When I attempted to contact Ticketmaster to inquire about the process or legitimacy of the tickets I found no customer service phone number and no possible way to communicate through a chat on Ticketmaster website. I called StubHub and waited on hold for an hour to be told that I would be paying for the tickets regardless of the legitimacy. They stated that I would be charged even if I didn't click on "accept" I feel 100% violated and deceived at this point. My next step is to dispute the charges with my credit card company. If I get no help there I will max out my credit cards *******$ and then never pay
My boss gave me leaf tickets he has been a season ticket holder for 20 plus yrs they went out of the book from his hands to mine
I gave then to my kid he couldn't make it so he sold the tix on stubhub
Buyer claims tix were no good
Now remember these r hard copy tix
They charge my sons credit card 1600 for the tix he sold and the tix they had to get the buyer
Stub hub says call venue and get a proof of scan Scotiabank where maple leafs play don't do that
So if u want to watch a free event buy tix from stub hub
Claim u cant get in
Sell the tix u bought
And watch the event for free
Like I said season ticket holder
Hard copy tix from his hands to mine
And according to buyer tix compromised
I called them about the most expensive tickets for Tori Amos on December 14 on September 15 and their policy is that if a broker says "orchestra row A-P" they cannot give you ANY other information.
Why would a company who put me on hold for 20 minutes waste my time and THEN be SNARKY when I told them at there is a BIG difference between row A (front row) and row P, which would be unacceptable to me. The lady actually got ANGRY with me.
Do not call this foolish website that, truly, has no right to exist. And when is the behemoth monopoly called TicketMaster going to be disbanded? When people buy up all the good seats that are $75 marked on the ticket and then try to bilk you out of how ever much they think they can get away with, well, those people are evil. Concert tickets should be sold to fans... not money making machines who do not care about Tori Amos (or, insert your favorite musical artist here) and probably don't even know who that band/singer/person is.
The worst experience with a ticket reseller I have ever had... plus, if I would have gambled with my seat, I would have had the privilege of paying a 15% finder's fee AND $11.99 for expedited shipping, even though the show is 3 months away.
Soulless Bureaucrats.
This company sucks in another level, they messed up my whole Beyoncé experience, very frustrating! They don't fix your problem if something going wrong
I did not receive a refund for a canceled event. I called StubHub regarding the refund and was told that I had two options to receive a refund. The first was provide my bank account information. The second was to provide a credit card number. In both instances the refund would take ten days to process.
I objected and demanded that the refund be process to the credit card use to pay for the purchase. After a delay, the CSR agreed to refund the purchase back to my card.
Strike one and two.
The CSR alerted me that the card would be refunded in five days. The funds were debited from my account within seconds of completing the transaction. That it takes five days to process a refund is absurd. While the funds are held, let me guess, they are using them for business purposes. Interest free money is not a bad deal for StubHub. Consumers on the other hand get stuck holding the bag five days while accruing potential fees for balances on their cards.
Strike three
StubHub's conduct should be prohibited by law.
I intend to alert the NYS Attorney General to this issue.
Ticket didn't arrive the day of the concert. Called numerous times and was promised the ticket guarantee would get equal or better seats if the seller did not send the tickets. This was a complete lie. I paid 3300 for 4 tickets on the floor at Bridgestone in Nashville. When didn't get the tickets, 4 hours later of being on phone with complete robots, they offered me seats to replace them in the nose bleed section. Was furious, had to go buy 4 more from Ticketmaster for 7k. Taking them to arbitration or court. Will spend 100k to make back 10k. Don't care because this company should not be in business with its deceptive practices. They should be sued into oblivion.
They did cancel my tickets after yet another 2 hour call to another robot, but I'm out 4K or so because of their deceptive practices. All this happened the day of the concert. 4 hours before it. With 4 people I got the tickets for spending lots of $$ to fly to Nashville, get hotel, 6 months in advance.
Don't ever use stubhub. They are scam artists and when ask for any supervisor they try to wait you out, then just put on another robot. Go to arbitration with them, use your credit card company to dispute the charge, or start a class action like california did to make them pay. I plan to do all of the above.
No replys! Still no money back, GOD forbid! Anyone links their card information to this company. Look Ladys, gentlemen, boys and girls, please stay away from stubhub. My 10 year old sister saved up money for a concert, i bought tickets for her and myself. THE CONCERT DIDNT EVEN EXIST! We came to see Lindsy Sterling, and walked up to some heavy death metal band, with a bunch on drunk people beating on each other! 170$ gone just like that no money back no contact back to us NOTHING! YOU STOLE FROM A 10 YEAR OLD! This website is a SCAM! Say away!
Sent us the wrong tickets, over the course of two weeks kept promising corrections that never happened, nightmare customer service.
I purchased tickets for an Arizona Diamondbacks game on 09/17 at 8:30am. Game was at 5:00pm. Order confirmation stated that tickets will be available shortly. 3:00 still no tickets and I call and they say there is an issue and they can't get ahold of seller and can not offer me alternate tickets, well ya you can't, it's 2 hours until game time. No call, no email nothing! Offers 120% refund as I have to buy more expensive tickets at the gate. Go to game and run into the seller, as our seats were in a section directly next to the one's we purchased from StubHub. I ask seller why they didn't answer the phone when StubHub called and he said, well if I want to go to the game and I didn't get a good price from StubHub or I can sell them for more money elsewhere, I just don't release them! What the heck is this?
Fast forward to a week later. I get the refund, but only 100% of it. I call, get "disconnected" 3 times. Finally a lady says, we only give 120% coupon, not refund. Now why would I EVER order from them again. What do you mean Coupon? Puts me on hold for a supervisor. You guessed it, 20 min hold and yep. Disconnected!
Shady Shady company.
Just bought tickets for the first time through Stubhub. Absolute nightmare. Trying to "extract" the tickets proved to be almost impossible. First, you have to figure out how to log on to stubhub. You will assume you already have an account, since they ask you to log in. Try a hundred times, then see a little tiny prompt at the bottom for "no account?" Arrrg. Then, it will ask for some code that you have to go through all your old emails to find. Then, if you get really, really lucky and make it this far, it will say your tickets are "ready for transfer." Oooookaaay... so how the hell do I do that? No info. Nice. Finally found AN ACTUAL PHONE NUMBER for stuhub. It is *******482. The person at Stubhub actually admitted it is impossible to navigate through this confusing process, even if you work at Stubhub! Okay. So, what I had to do THEN was see if I got an email over the last few weeks (!) from some seller of the tickets. I searched using "transfer" and discovered I got an email from Ticketmaster. So, I need to crack into Ticketmaster now. This entailed setting up an account, getting a verification email and verification text. And allegedly my damn tickets are on that site somewhere. This was an absolutely horrible experience. Stubhub, you suck!
I went to purchase 4 tic to an Islanders game. After going through all the steps and after they got my credit card info the next window that popped up said " that they would only be able to honor 2 of the 4 tics that I requested". The window gave me an option to go back and view different available seats, their was no option for me to cancel the previous order I went back and choose 4 different tickets that were actually cheaper. After going through all the steps to finalize this order, I went to my mailbox to print tickets. To my surprise the initial 4 tic that they said they couldn't honor were there as well as the 2nd order. I printed out my initial order that was actually more money then the 2nd order. These 2 transactions happened 2 mins apart. I called customer service right away to tell them of the glitch and she agreed, and told me that the I T dept would look into and that I shouldn't have a problem getting reimbursed. After a month of going back and forth I'm out an extra $186.00 for the 2nd set of tics that their computer program told me to go back and select different seats. I'll pay the extra money from now on and use only ticket master.
I bought tickets to Jason Aldean in Kansas City through StubHub.com. The website showed a layout for the show that I relied on. I bought tickets that were front row. When I received the tickets, they were from TicketMaster. I reviewed the layout on TicketMaster.com and realized that the section was actually in the back! I contacted StubHub to let them know they had their layout wrong and I was offered equivalent tickets at the same price but would have to wait for approval. I was told within 30 minutes I would have a call back. I waited four hours and no call. I called back in and had to speak with someone else. I was informed that this decision would take 15 days. 5 days later I get a 25% refund. I called back in to ask why the refund. I was informed that I was getting to keep the same tickets but with a 25% discount. I let the stubhub agent know, I just wanted to receive my original offer of equivalent or better tickets. Later that day I was informed that a full refund was issued. I called and asked why a full refund was issued and there was no explanation and it couldn't be overturned but had I not gotten the refund, they would have upgraded me to a VIP experience. This is the type of service you can expect from a company FALSELY ADVERTISING their product. My experience in the past with stubhub.com has been ok, but all trust in them has been lost. They want me to release tickets I never accepted and hope they give me my money back. Seems like a shady business to me.
We bought tickets for bullfighting in Sevilla, Spain.
The tickets very expensive compared to the regulär price although the event was not sold out. I cannot recommend the service.
Tickets didn't arrive by Tuesday when they were supposed to, or indeed Friday when the concert was. Ups shows now that only a label was printed and NEVER sent or intended to be sent. Stubhub didn't help when I contacted them the day before the concert to cancel it because my ticket hadn't even been sent yet and they replied with something about a 'fan protect guarentee' - which basically means I go back onto the Stubhub website, see my concert is now a 'past order' and there's no button or way to file a claim or complain.
I wrote an honest review which is what the first couple of lines of this are and they wouldn't publish it. The service is a lottery, you have zero guarentee of getting a ticket you paid for, you might well get your money back but Stubhub don't care when that might be. I had to file a claim with Paypal and still waiting to get my money back.
It's not rocket science, this 'service' is weak and they rely on people to send these tickets, whcih they may put up for 'sale' just in case they decide to flake and not attend. So they have a backup sucker to dump the ticket(s) on just in case they need it. Being my first and last experience with Stubhub, i've found the service a joke. When the tickets have not arrived and I ask for my money back you don't list off some 'fan protect' garbage, you give me my money back.
Wouldn't trust this service personally at all. You have no guarentee you'll get what you pay for and it certainly ruined my weekend, and week leading up to it stressing over a ticket. AVOID, if at all possible and do not make plans relying on anything bought via Stubhub.
Purchased tickets 3 months ago for concert tickets that I was told would be upload for downloading 2 days before the event... The day is here and no tickets. I called and the Rep says that my order number was under some one elses name and that this event had already passed and that it was in Canada... Also the rep continously asked for my credit card info to verify my acct... I would not do it., They went on to say that the couldnt pull up my acct with my email or none of the info that I used in the begginning... SCAMMING soooo I got angry the REP placed me on hold about 5 times coming back with same excuse that he needed my card number... I still wouldnt do it... I finally hung up after being placed on hold for the fifth time, then a supervisor (supposenly)called back saying that the seller has until a certain time to upload the tickets... still no tickets... no refund... These people are SCAMMERS please people dont let this be you!
I ordered (2) tickets for a total of $286 (including the StubHub $50 fee). First I received a confirmation by email that the transaction went through and "my tickets were on the way."
The next day, I received another email stating that the tickets would arrive in two days. Yesterday - these idiots sent the following email for a national musical show coming up in 2 days (includes their typos): "Your order was cancelled and a credit is on the way. Weve cancelled the following order and you wont receive the tickets. Were sorry it didnt work out. We? Re contacting you about your recent order. Unfortunately, your seller let us know that they? Re unable to deliver the tickets that you originally ordered."
This is simply outrageous and I'm sending a complaint to The Attorney General of California. To make matters worse, the emails say "do not reply." So, how can they sell tickets when they haven't secured them? How do I know that they didn't get a higher price and just cancelled my order? This company is run by a bunch of arrogant "20 somethings" who have no clue as to how to conduct business properly and ethically.
I hope that a sharp attorney will begin a class-action lawsuit and put an end to this unscrupulous company. They have ruined a special evening for my wife & I - and they couldn't care less. This is FRAUD!
Purchased theater tickets. They did not arrive in mail. Called them and was told show was cancelled. They refunded our money. SHOW WAS NOT CANCELLED. I would not recommend buying through them.
I sold concert tickets through the site. Shipped via UPS. UPS lost package BUT then found it. It delivered the day before the event but StubHub already canceled my sale and charged me a penalty (40%) for the inconvenience to my buyer.
I tried to talk to UPS about a claim on the value of the product and they said stubhub had to file the claim.
I reached out to StubHub customer service to show that UPS lost the package and it ended up finding it and delivering it to the original buyer. They would not refund the penalty fee. I asked a few times to have my concern escalated. I will not share the CSR's name but she refused and told me to call back the next day if I wanted to speak with anyone else. I suggested that I may have to dispute the cc charge and the CSR said "if you do that your account with StubHub will be locked from use"
I responded with "you know that is kind of bullying move to say that"
She responded with "I'm sorry you feel that way"
I asked if they could file the claim on my behalf and she disconnected from me. I have the chat logs and I'm stuck the price of the tickets, the ACTUAL tickets (which still arrived at the seller BEFORE the show) and the penalty fee StubHub charged me on top of that... I understand the procedure but the customer service here left me quite sad and not sure how to handle this. StubHub is definitely a bully and unfortunately the only game in town. I've been a customer for over 10 years and I really don't know what else to do here.
I used StubHub for the first time, night before a football game and got pretty good seats for the game. Next day, drive 4.5 hrs to the game, park, and go to my phone to pull up the tickets. I buy tickets from airlines who text and email the boarding pass directly to me. Open a text - viola, set to go. So. I draw no reason in the year 2021 to pull up the tickets any earlier. How wrong was I? All I got was an email link to their website, which required me to log in, which meant that I needed to set up an account since I purchased the tickets as a guest. Not great but that was the least of the issues. I had to click more links to get the tickets and the links generally would not load. When one finally, did, there was another link still to go to get my tickets to appear. Each link would time out and give 1 or 3 various error messages. I then downloaded the app and had the exact same issue. Found a link for Help. LOL. I was asked to log in again and then directed to the same View Tickets home page that was necessitating the need for help. Could this be and an old man or ID 10 T error? Well, I'm sure that is what my 15 yr old son thought when he took over on his phone. After 45 minutes of getting error messages and watching the website/app time out, the game had started and the lines had cleared to enter the stadium. I asked the ticket taker if they experienced issues with Stub Hub not loading and fortunately she had personally experienced it on several occasions so she let us in based on the email description. I think she felt bad that we had already missed the 1st two TDs, one by each team. Her advice was to get started downloading the tickets as soon as you buy them and then take a screen shot of them. Really nice, Stub Hub. The most basic and vital part of your business functions like something from the early days of dial up internet. I will try other ticket resale sites in the future.
I wanted to sell 2 Chicago Blackhawks tickets to tonight's preseason game. They are great seats in the 3rd row. I listed them for $110 each, ( way below the $185 face value).
I have bought from StubHub and sold Sox tickets, but never sold Blackhawks tickets through them. Apparently I misunderstood that before I scanned and downloaded the tickets, I had to go to the Blackhawks site and convert them to an electronic format. So, I get an email that they are sold and then an email saying I was charged $44 as a penalty for making a mistake. Also the tickets were removed from the listing. In the end, I was out the $ for the tickets and charged the fine. If they had emailed me the problem, I could have fixed it and sold the tickets. Their system never said there was a problem when I listed the tickets. I believe this is a very poor business practice. Now, to MAYBE get my $44 back, I have to fill out a dispute email, and hope that they get back to me one day. I am canceling my account with Stubhub and will tell all my fellow season ticket holders to steer clear of them.
Answer: That's my assumption. Some other people on this site might be able to answer that from actual experience.
Answer: They sell tickets they do not actually have yet. They started selling tickets for a Garth Brooks concert in Salt Lake City before tickets even went on sale. They have no way of knowing if they will actually get tickets to fulfill orders, and just cancel the order the day before the event if they don't have the tickets. Its pretty much a gamble with Stub Hub if you will get your tickets or not.
Answer: Stub hub only does resales so they can rip off the seller as well as the buyer
Answer: Hello Gisela! We aren't able to have you sell will call as an ID will need to be presented for pick up. Hope this helps!
Answer: Hi Rachael, If you purchase a ticket labeled as Instant Download you will receive your ticket as soon as you order. If you purchase a mobile ticket or electronic download then you will be notified when your ticket is ready. Which would be no later than the date advised when you purchase. It is very rare to not have your ticket prior to the day of event. There are only a select few shows that require ticket delivery day of event. I hope this helps and we are here to assist if you have any additional questions!
Answer: Some of these sellers do not own the actual tickets so they are buying time to get the tickets from someone else who can't attend the event and wants to sell their tickets.
