The ultimate corporate Bully! Spectrum/Charter/Time Warner, whatever you want to call them, I call them greedy inflexible corporate bullies.
They think their you know what don't stink, they constantly run misleading promotions only to be able to stick it to you with continuously higher rates. I recently suffered some financial hardship and got behind by one month but always managed to make payments so I would not be more than 2 months past due. EVERY month they constantly threaten to shut your service off with no flexibility to work with cooperative good paying customers. They are corporately heartless!
DO NOT USE THEM if possible. Look at all other options that offer respectful people and work with someone who cares about their customers.
Their constant badgering phone calls and emails threatening to cut off my service has caused me mental distress to the point I had to see a therapist because I became so anxious due to their tactics. THEY SIMPLY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. They only want your money to sign up and that's when their nice.
After that, your *** to them.
If I had the time and energy, I would organize a protest in front of their offices in San Diego condemning their business practices. Awful company

Today I called Spectrum to politely let them know that I was canceling my tv package part of my bundle immediately and had to listen the guy on the other line barrage me with deals that were never offered in the past. I explained that for years whenever I called to negotiate a better deal (I would see on tv or a printed ad) I was told that that bundle (and price) was not available in my area. I explained we now have a dish on our roof so it's a done deal. I was honest enough to explain that we will be porting our landline and internet soon as well. While speaking to the first rep my landline phone I was on went dead at the exact same time they shut our internet down as well, the tv? Still freaking worked, I know that because out of the multitude of phone calls made to get my stuff running again I was informed that my tv service was still running, What? I dealt with so many genius's that my brain hurt when I finally (the 6th phone call to them) got a reasonably intelligent being who switched it back on. I am sooo done with Spectrum! If they had offered decent deals and good customer service in the first place I would never have made the jump.
Spectrum LIARS and CROOKS. If I knew now what I didn't know then I would have never merged my services. I was lied to about channels, Installation, and pricing. I have been with bright house/Spectrum for many years when my son wanted higher speed internet service. I was told i was under bright house and had to merge services. I told them repeatedly I did not want to loose channels and asked what my pricing would be as well as installation. I was assured i would not loose channels and in fact I would get more. That was a big LIE. I was told installation would be the same and another LIE. I was told my price would go from $198 to $212 and yet another LIE. I lost more than 50 channels, i went from 1 to 2 devices for internet, and my bill went from $198 to $227. Of course iI cant go back now but what a shame they choose to lie to customers to make more money. All I can say is LIARS AND CROOKS and I am now looking into new provider. I should also mention I was locked out of my email with no solution from tech support. I would recommend you stay far away from spectrum and find alternatives like myself and maybe if they lose enough customers they will stop lying to customers and become a better company.
WARNING! Do not subscribe to ANY monthly installment Spectrum Sports Packages via your cable box!
2 months ago, I subscribed to a sports pkg, via Spectrums cable box, for 4 monthly installments. It was easy. No terms of service agreement popped up; just a request to confirm my subscription with my Spectrum pin #.
After 2 months, I contacted Spectrum to cancel my subscription. Immediately my access was cancelled; no warning from the representative that I will still be charged. When I received my bill this month, I noticed the charge was there.
I called Spectrum to request a refund & was denied stating that Spectrum... has a contract with the sports packages that does not allow refunds and refused to refund me for the month without access. I cancelled my entire subscription with the company after being offered a $20 maximum refund (the installment is $85 per month).
Needless to say, Im pretty disappointed with Spectrums decision. Ive been a loyal customer of Charter/Spectrum since 2008.
I received a shut off notice today, the 17th. Yesterday would have been the shut off date! I paid the balance on the 9th! You would have turned my service off, then tell me the next day?! Really!?
There service is non existant and they really don't seem to care at all. Does't make any difference if you call them or go to there store, it is non existant and they don't seem to really care.

Im a new customer my service was installed on 11/17/17 agent told me my bill would be $127 and that I would receive the first bill in 2 weeks. No mention of any one time installation fee of $44.98
Today is 11/24/17 and I receive a bill for $174.07, due tomorrow 11/25/17 already even though I was told that it would come in the mail after 2weeks. I also see that I have a Home phone service, spectrum voice $29.99, never requested any home phone service nor was it mentioned to me during the phone conversation. I dont need it never asked for it. First day of installation the cable box wasnt functioning well and I had to wait for the technician to come the next day to swap it and thats fine I can live with that but dont make me pay for something that I wasnt made aware of and add services that I didnt request. Im sorry this isnt fair or acceptable. I dont deserve to be going through all this trouble already. I would like a call back and this issue resolved right away.
The technician who came to do the installation seemed to be in a hurry, didnt care to explain anything to me, left everything off then after he left I realized the cable box was faulty then they had to come the next day to exchange it. And now I have this issue with the bill and phone service I never requested or made aware of. Just terrible & frustrating!
Ever since I switched to them I've had nothing but problems, they have gave me boxes twice that don't work and I'm waiting as I type for them to contact me back about the second box.
Due to exorbitant costs and in efforts to budget, I dropped the bundle package (INET, LANDLINE VOICE, and WI-FI). This package was at a cost of $262.68.
At the same time, I initiated the Basic Cable, with the choice of 15 elective channels. This total came to $143.41, and was paid at the time of the swap in packages. By the way, one of my electives was TCM, they placed a $5.00 movie Channel fee on it. They should have e told me this at time of transaction. Then it would have allowed that another channel could have been selected.
This transaction occurred on 8-26-23. This was one week prior to the regular bill due date. Spectrum applied my $143.41 toward the $262.68 instead of proper application of my funds!
They are trying to charge me $62.28 for a balance due. Actually, they owe me $65.66 for the week of no Bundled services. Do your math...
Now, I have tried to speak with a person for more than a week. Of course A.I. Refuses to connect you with a person when there's a complaint. Yet, when there's a purchase, a person comes on the line.
I have written reviews to BBB and to sitejabber venues.
I will not waste my time trying to contact them again.
Seriously, I don't know what is wrong with our government in that, at all levels, it allows capitalist enterprises to suck consumers out of hard earned bucks. Someone in responsible positions has to see this level of corruption.
Spectrum's corporate office, ultimately, is directly responsible for this terrible service.
They mislead a bit saying they have all these HD channels. While technically they are HD, most are of lower quality like 720p and 480i. Not the 1080i that everyone has become used to.

I attempted to cancel my service on 8/12/2019 as I was in the process of moving to a new home. Spectrum does not let you cancel online so I had to call. There were long wait times so it was suggested I leave a phone number to call back at. I did and received a call. While trying to confirm my account we got disconnected and I did not receive a call back. I called Spectrum again and waited and when trying to confirm my account they could not and said I would have to get my account number. On 9/6/2019 I was able to call back to cancel my service and expected to be provided a prorated amount as I was not going to receive a full month of service. At this time I was told that as of 6/23/2019 they no longer offered prorated amounts of service stating that this was a monthly subscription plan. This information was not sent to me in a separate message nor was this on my May, June or July billing statements. In essence I have to pay for service for 8/31 through 9/29 even though I cannot use the service and they did not adequately disseminate this information. While subscription plans such as Netflix, Hulu or even Amazon Prime will not refund you if canceled in the middle of the month these services can still be used until the end of that billing cycle. This is not the case with Spectrum when this service is not provided at my new home. I have no issues paying for what has been provided but it is wrong to pay for something I cannot receive. My new home has a POA and they pay for cable and internet so Spectrum is not needed.
Network is very slow. Can not stream or work on projects. Disappointing, looking for a new IPS to move. Advise from other customers will be great.

Just get a prepaid cellphone with unlimited data. Very disappointed. The Fayetteville Spectrum branch needs to be canceled. 47$ bundle+ 1 missed payment= 200$ owed
After having Spectrum for years, in different houses and even states... I feel I owe myself a punch in the gut for staying with them so long. Sure, their prices are (somewhat) okay... But there have been near weekly issues for as long as I can remember. So some of us stay up later than 10pm still (crazy, I know). Now not that I'm paying too much attention, but between the hours of 11pm and ~3am, Spectrum's router loses service about 3-4 days a week. It will usually reset itself and kick back online within 10 minutes (a bit excessive if you ask me). I understand they likely go through automatic updates, but I would assume this would be at a set time and not 11:52pm in the middle of All American. The most recent disconnection, I unplugged modem/router and waited 10 minutes. Nothing. Hit reset on both of them, wait another 10 minutes. Nothing. I finally hit reset on only the router 15 minutes later and it kicks itself back online.
If I'm paying the same amount for car insurance every month as I am for internet, why does the company continue to allow some of my service to be wasted and/or siphoned off multiple times a week? I've gotten new equipment twice at my current residence, so nothing is defective.
Just seems a little sus if you ask me.
Spectrum cable is the worst cable company I have ever had I had bright house for over 10 years then when they switched the service went down hill. I got a letter in the mail telling me of the pending switch once it finally came I called spectrum to see if I was going to be able to keep my plan and was told I could upgrade to more for less so I did. Jump forward 1 month I get my bill and notice my price had gone up 85% so I call and complain and was told my plan was no longer available. I asked why and to my amazement was told because the JEWS were now running the show and that the day spectrum arrived several bright house associates were running down the hall yelling "THE JEWS ARE COMING" so now I'm stuck with a price I did not agree to. Being extremely angry at this point I decide to shop around. I decided to get the Amazon stick for $80.00 (jailbroken) and no monthly fees and I also now stream sling tv for $25.00 a month for 95% of the same channels I was paying out the rear end for with spectrum. My kids love the Amazon stick and so does my wife everybody is happy and no more hefty cable bills. Switch from cable now and get the Amazon stick and show spectrum that you are in control of your cable
Their internet is unbelievably slow and only works when it feels like it. Very fustrating. Spectrums costumer service is a peice or sh*t as well. They don't even answer the phone.
