Spectrum is the worst! Our internet is out since Wednesday and it is clearly due to their cable connection issue. We called their "customer service" to get it fixed. They told us they may have technicians on Friday and that's it. I told them we worked from home and needed the internet for work. My kids also needed internet for their homework. They did not care at all and someone actually said she can put us on their priority list so that we might be able to get serviced earlier. It's Friday evening now and still no sign of anyone from Spectrum. Unfortunately, AT&T does not have fiber in our area and the internet speed they can offer is like from the 90's. We have no choice but to wait and have no idea how long this is going to be.

Rip off

I was going to cancel the service after I had it for few months only because of a very poor connection. I called in and was talked in to put my account on hold which I did. Well, I started my service 10 days before my activation date and was charged an additional fees even though i specifically asked if there is gonna be any additional fees OR charges and the answer was no. The representative was very rude and interrupted me all the time. I would cancel it now but I am in school and there is no other internet providers in my area.

Our on demand service cuts out frequently especially during peak hours in the evening and on weekends. They send people out, but the techs always say this is the best I can do, and leave. I believe there are too many people on the system and Spectrum does not want to spend the money to upgrade any part of it.

I paid my bill 80$ and spectrum said I didn't but yet I have proof with bank statements. A company that makes millions stole 80$ from me and instead of fixing the issue after being with them for 7 years I'm told spectrum is gonna fight you on this. Go with a company that actually cares and will help you.

I discontinued my service with Spectrum and returned all the equipment per their policy. However, they insist that I only returned the modem and not the router. Refusing to believe it could possibly be an issue on their end, Spectrum is charging me $76 for not returning equipment that I actually did return. For the one-time price of $76, they have lost a customer for life. It's hard to wrap my head around such a stupid policy that assumes the worst of customers.

AVOID THEM FOR MOBILE SERVICE!

The reps have no idea of what they're doing! I have talked to one incompetent rep after another. That also sold me a broken phone...brand new samsung galaxy s22 that was overheating when I did even simple things on it. The reps at the store confirmed the phone was "faulty" but when I tried to exchange it, I was still charged a $50 restock fee...so be careful, they must resell it. I was told I'd have free mobile service for a year. I just had to pay $8 a month for my phone galaxy a14 ( which I exchanged the s22 for) and I just checked my credit card and they charged my card $55 because someone screwed things up on their end.

Spectrum sucks
February 22, 2018

To day i was told spectrum no longer negotiates. Which means I have to like my high bill or lump it. They are good at "bait and switch". They offer something for a year then expect you to forget it when they charge you for it latter. They even told me today that they would add $5.00 to my bill to talk to someone. I pay for 2,000 channels and there is nothing on. Call your public service commission!

Spectrum does not deserve the one star I had to give it in order to review them! The techs so not know anything about 1 stop service, nor do they try to help. They also do not listen, keep cutting you off. 9 service calls for the same problems over and over again. I do not understand why a paying customer is treated this way. They are begging for service but do not provide it.

Billing issues

Spectrum billing sucks they said I didn't pay last month bill and now they talking about I gotta pay 90 more dollars before the next billing cycle. How are you not getting the money I sent in did you lose it or something? This month they say I owe almost $500 I paid you for last month why is the bill so high and they added a few things I didn't ask for which was added to the bill. Long story short don't get it spectrum it's not worth it

Complete trash

Garbage company with garbage employees they're rude and think it's OK to hang up on people. They want to rip me off for $20 and then tell me I should've checked my bill. I waited on hold for over three hours for them to not resolve my issue. Canceled my service T-Mobile's Internet is half the price.

Great Service!

We've ALL had our battles with our cable companies. No doubt. They grew A LOT in the last few years and like most businesses, have a hard time getting talented employees. That being said; I want to commend Darol H., from their S Grand office. I went in with a year long issue and he went the extra mile to help me. I am SO GRATEFUL! I hope Spectrum can finally fix this problem, but if they don't and I have to get legal advice, it's not because Darol didn't give it his all! Thanks again, Darol! Spectrum should be happy to have you!

7 year customer no more!

Spectrum will not honor Financed phone payment if you fall 2 months behind on your normal service bill; Money in hand to catch up on past due amount and they wanted $1300 to restore service (Past due bill was $176; rest was financed phone) I will also be cancelling my internet service with them as well!

Acts like these are Forcing an average American into *******@*******@*******@*******@*******@*******@FTC

For the past two weeks I have been battling with Spectrum. After they migrated me from Time Warner to Spectrum I've had nothing but problems. First they did something that caused me to have no picture on the tv. Then I had no wifi. I had to wait three days for a technician to come out. He didn't know what he was doing and had to keep calling his office for directions. Now today I once again have no wireless connection. When I called in I was told internet was not part of my package. So I asked why they sent a technician out to install something I don't have on my plan. Every time I asked a question the guy on the phone would say, "That's a good question. I really don't know." Isn't it his job to know? Spectrum is a horrible company! Do not subscribe!

This company is sloppy. They were not prepared at all for the merger! I am Cancelling service at 4 locations today. Bill went from $150 to $320 with no warning at all. Pathetic management, everyone at customer service is rude and hateful!

We switched from Time Warner Cable to Spectrum on the advice of our cable installer. He told us we'd get better service, faster Internet, etc. We switched. Now we have a system where it can take an hour to get the television to come on (occasionally more). It almost never takes less than 4 to 5 minutes.

The system is so complicated that it occasionally requires us to unplug the cable box to get everything reset. After that, we're in for 10 to 15 minutes to get things working.

On the Internet side, the speeds are significantly slower generally. However, when the rest of the neighborhood is on the system, you can take a nap waiting for it to respond.

On the positive side, there really is a lot more available, it just isn't anything that you'd normally pay more for. Do I want to go back to Time Warner? No. I'm on the cusp of being a cable cutter.

THIS IS HORRIBLE

I was a customer for 15 years! No discounts for loyal customers. Prices go up more and more. Nickel and dimers! Customer service lies on the phone and then management does not contact you back at all when you have concerns. I do not recommend this service at all. 10 Channel line up is a joke, they do not tell you that you need a smart TV and let you cancel your entire cable. For the same 40 bucks for their 10 channels stream vue and you will get 40-50 channels. RIP OFF!

Service out half the week every week, refuse to send technicians out again after one diagnosed issue as outside connection and setup at apartment building. Will not offer bill credits for multiple days documented with service out. Will harass with 10+ calls a day if you refuse to pay for their services not rendered.

How will they cope when they eventually lose all their customers for their great business practices? I have returned all equipment and cancelled services... but continue to receive calls from "Rectum" concerning paying my bills for their services. WHA? I want to tell you. I must sound good over the phone... but maybe I sound great when I'm screaming profanities at a Rectum operator. I contacted the FCC and filed a complaint with hope that I can live a cable and internet free existence away from Rectum services. Just maybe though... they are trying to get us off our asses and exercise or get outside. All I know is that I'm done with Rectum... and its life changing to be free of high internet and cable bill. The CEO of Rectum can eat two bags of $#*!s.

Actually the worst internet provider and service I've ever had in my entire life, and I've switched in between like 5 within the past 4 years. Switches off every 2-3 minutes on my cellular device for no reason and I have to turn the wifi on and off for it to work again. I supposedly have 1000 mbps but that is a blatant lie I'd be surprised if I was even getting 400 this sh*t is slow asf. Not to mention that they always have outage issues as soon as there's a tiny gust of wind. Completely ridiculous horrible company please please please never provide them with any business or help let them and their atrocious company rot.

Bad outage service
July 14, 2021

I've been out of service for 2 days because of a lightening strike. Since it happened outside my house, you would think that they would send someone right out. Instead, I had to make an appointment for a service tech to come out? I work from home so this is VERY inconvenient.

Piss-poor service.
