Ive been living in Alabama for 2 months now and Ill be damn they make sure the damn Alabama game is on. On three occasions Ive been wanting to watch the Georgia game and they always want to service their stations at that time. Hell, but once the damn Alabama game come on the channel is up and running with no problems. I do not recommend spectrum if your anything but an Alabama fan. Roll f****** tide my a**. Go Damn Dawgs
They keep raising my bill each month for the same service. They take my channels off without notice than when I call to complain they want me to pay to get them back on. When I try to watch on demand it doesn't work, my channels freeze up in the middle of me watching them or it's just a black screen. The customer service agents lie so much it's not even funny.
Got service three months ago. Cant watch tv because of some interference. Had 4 techs here, they can't figure out. They told me they would look for a resolution to just sit tight. They will not credit my account even though we cant watch tv for three months! They expect me to pay for service I can not use! And that because we have been trying for 3 months to let them figure it out, now their new line is that too much time has elapsed and now and they want me to pay! Liars, cheaters, scammers!
TV Channels problems. Many TV Channels are not tunable or not available.
I can only use two channels on my TV. Many remote control functions such as "Guides", "Settings" and "List" don't work.
Intermittent Problems with Internet. We had to switch to our Verizon for our internet.
We have had these problems for three weeks. Each time I call Spectrum Customer service, there is a long wait. I'm very frustrated with Spectrum.
I was a business customer. I cancelled my service 3 months ago when I closed my business. They say I didn't return equipment & trying to charge me $75 for it. Luckily I found the return receipt, hopefully they will remove the charges now. But this seems to happen a lot because the guy at UPS warned me to keep it. They don't have good systems for keeping track of their stuff and trying to pass their ineptitude off on the customer.
Service is always going out for some reason or another. Customers should get a percentage off their bill once they have to go half the day, or a certain number of hours without the service they pay for.
We were completely satisfied with our cable for over 20 years. Now that they have gone digital, it sucks. First they require you to get a box for each TV that you have in the home. Then you have to figure out how to set it up. Now we have to pay more per month for each box that we use. And on top of that, when you rearrange your home and disconnect the cable wire, it doesn't work when you plug it back in (and calling customer service didn't help). So if the goal is to get you to watch less TV, B R A V O. Hats off. It's working. Now we are looking at other options.
This company has an outage 90 percent of the time. Their customer service are robots, no one has a clue. They had the nerve to take $80 dollars out of my account unauthorized. Their service is worst than dial up. They need to start at the top and fire all of them, because they are not doing a good job, but running this company in the ground. They didn't have a 0, because that is what they deserve.
Don't get there internet, don't buy a home who have only spectrum internet. Better find a different home.

After I cancel my service a week before it was due, they still charged me the next month bill, and then said I will have to wait for 4-6 weeks before I received my refund. But the question is why it charged at the first place?
Seems like they will try to drag on with the refund, and then hope the customer forgets.
I also make sure put not auto renew but some how they still charged.
Very sneaky company.
Please save yourself headache and heartburn. Use someone other than spectrum. Lousy customer service. Watch your bill! Do not use auto pay! Record all conversations! They are so big they do not care about you or any other account.
I had Spectrum for almost 2 years and my internet was never up to speed (no pun intended). Their techs blame the old equipment and bad lines for the failures and lag in coverage. I have upwards of 20 service calls and no resolution, however, they continued to charge me full price the entire time. When I went to cancel (Google Fiber became available) I was charged for another month's service. If you wish to cancel your contract with them in January you will need to call them in Nov or you will receive an invoice for Jan as the final invoice (you pay a month ahead). This company has no integrity or value for its customers when it comes to the product and services that they provide. STEER CLEAR
I only got Spectrum because it was the only internet service available in my area. The internet was spotty on some occasions but the real reason why I dislike Spectrum is because they try to squeeze every last dime possible out of you before you go. I was charged for a full month of service even though I moved mid-month. Then I found out they automatically charge you $120 after you cancel your service, under the assumption that you won't return the equipment. Not to mention they don't tell you any of these things up front nor send out any type of confirmation that your services are cancelled or that they received the equipment. If zero stars was a rating, that's what I would give them. The absolute WORST! Get service elsewhere if possible.
Beware when speaking to a Spectrum Rep regarding services. All you will hear is about "special promos" that you probably won't need but will end up getting because the rep will tell you your monthly bill will be lower. Don't fall for this as you will discover that the monthly bill will indeed be more. When calling in to correct/change the service, it will take forever. By then you will need to pay the first month "new fees" regardless as they will not give you a credit. Beware of this practice... better yet... scam!
Called to have my rate retained for mediocre internet service and was told they would not budge on the price increase. I was successful two years in a row and the CS agent actually held that against me calling me "lucky". I informed her I was prepared to switch and she basically did not care. As an owner of a company, I think I would be concerned to lose a long tenure customer over a $5 increase. The lifetime value of the customer is not a factor in their decision making. I asked to speak with someone empowered to make a decision to retain me but was out on hold for an exceeding long time so I simply told the CS agent to cancel the service.
This company is the worst. This is definitely one that deserves negative stars. Unfortunately they monopolize a lot of areas and folks in these areas are stuck with this horrible company. Overpriced, terrible customer service, and a sub par product. I'd recommend staying away if possible.
I signed up for phone deal they have one line pay 29.99 and second line free for 12 month but they don't even deliver their promises. I have spoke with almost 8 customers service representative and still can't fix the problem. Don't recommend them at all.
Spectrum is terrible! They're prices are outrageous and they're channel selection is terrible. They play the same reruns over and over for years. Never change anything up. I think I've watch every episode of Andy Griffith show 100 times over. Same with gun smoke. Pawn stars, you name it! Same movies over and over also! Absolutely ridiculous and they have the monopoly which really sucks!
Spectrum Internet is a sham. We decided to go with another internet company for faster internet and a better rate. However, we still had to pay for bill which was fine. But the bill was for an entire month of service when we only had Spectrum for 3 maybe 4 days out of that month. On numerous occasions we tried to talk to Customer Service about the extra charges. While waiting on them to call back and tell us if it will be resolved and recalculated, they send us a letter threatening to send us into Collections! We have been hung up on or "lost connection" on the phone. Our over charged bill has not been fixed or recalculated. Nor do they plan to fix it. One Star Rating is too good for these people.
Every few months my bill gets increased and every time I call to see if I can get a discount since the price is outrageous. The company is willing to provide internet for a lower cost for new clients but not loyal clients who have been paying for years. Extremely disappointed in this company. The internet is not even that great. Save your money and go through a different company.

Answer: You're smart to stay with FIOS. Spectrum is the worst cable company around. They're very expensive and your bill will start creeping up every other month without any explanation. Avoid Spectrum!
