The overall reputation of the company reflects a significant decline in customer service satisfaction, with numerous reviews highlighting persistent issues related to service delays, unresponsive support, and difficulties in obtaining refunds or repairs. While some customers acknowledge the quality of products, the overwhelming sentiment reveals frustration with the handling of warranties and service appointments, often leading to prolonged wait times and unresolved issues. The consistent reports of disorganized customer support and inadequate communication suggest a pressing need for the company to enhance its service protocols and prioritize customer experience to restore trust and reliability.

I used to order some appliances from Sears and the orders always cancel.
I had order items online and when i order they would give me a shipping date and and i would acttually get the package by day 3 which i am very happy, and i always order from them and put lawaway and once the order is paid its get ship, this is the best place to put a layaway, cause lots of dept stores dont have them no more, which is not right to us buyers but what can we do, lots of people ruin it for the rest, but what can we do.
Ordered a replacement freezer for one I had for 15 years. They had just the item! It was delivered by a few guys that took care not to damage it and they took the old one away. Bought a generator from them 2 years ago, and that was a good experience too. Oh, also a snowblower. All good.
Check out the discontinue rack can find some good treasures.
I have had several bad experiences over the years. Customer on the phone is stupid many phone numbers and getting the run around until you find the right department. Never buy their appliance warranty program. Money scam when something goes wrong they find an excuse to why it is not covered.
Yes, I still believe in this great company. There Sales motto in the 70's was were America Shops. It was true in those days people shopped at Sears. Why? Sears has the best trained and inform Sales Associates when it comes to Appliances, Hardware, bedding or Electronics. I know every store has one of those guys who puts on a Suit and Tie trying to impress people with their charm and overbaring attitude but the rest of the people are really down to earth and they care not just looking for a commission like those so called Super Professionals all dress up in there fancy suits. I give Sears and Roebuck a 5 star rating because truly are the one of the best Retailers in the World. Well, they are trying to anyway.
I love coming here, there is such a huge selection of household goods that you honestly start daydreaming of renovating your house just to fit more in.
Typically there is excellent quality materials here.
Terrible low-quality clothing no doubt 'imported'. Don't waste your money and time from this joint that hides behind kmart. Ugh to both.
Love its tools department, you can find any size of tools, thats nice, but it would be more appreciated if they adjust its price police sometimes.
Way too expensive, and has quality control issues.
As far as keeping food cold or frozen it's fine, but the cons are: 1. The egg keeper is TOO SHORT for a standard carton of eggs. What idiot designs something to to a job and makes it too short to DO THAT JOB?! So I have to cut the carton of eggs down to fit it. 2. You better not be barefoot or wearing sandals when you shut the door and have your foot in the way, it will take your toenail off! The door is too close to the floor. 3. The door has a magnet strong enough to pick up a small car! Unless you have the rollers off the floor, you end up pulling the whole fridge away from the wall when you try to open the bottom door before it opens. In general it's ok and the shelving is good and adjustable, the meat keeper could be a little deeper, but if I realized the thing about the egg keeper I'd probably keep looking before buying.
I had a little bit longer than usual wait at their auto center, and they gave me a free oil change. +1 in my book!
I purchased a refrigerator from Sears. Com. It was defective and so I attempted to e change it for another. The delivery drivers did not even bring it into the house because it left the warehouse so badly damaged. I have had to make at least 8 separAte highly painful and lengthy calls to Sears.com customer service. All of their customer service is provided by call centers overseas. None of these agents have a good enough understanding of English to address any issue that is out of the box. Of. They read from a script. They continually apologize but are unable to assist. Moreover their customer service is so departmentalized that it appears that they work independent if each other. In other word, delivery department has the obligation for issuing the refund yet they have no proper record that it wS returned. It's a nightmare. The reception is so poor that the agents can hardly be heard. If I ask them to speak up repeatedly because I cannot hear they hang up on you. I honestly think Sears should stick with selling large appliances in store. It is amazing how disappointing this experience has been for me. Lastly, isn't there any quality control before these appliances leave the warehouse for the customer? I had one agent yesterday who in broken English refused to give me a refund and insisted that I keep the defective appliance in exchange for 50,000 points. All the while I had repeatedly explained that the refrigerator was not in my possession. They are trained to do ANYTHING to get around refunding. It is a shame. It has been a waste of my valuable time and as I type this I still have not received a refund.
This is a great appliance store! We have always bought our appliances from Sears. They have good service representatives that know their products. They also have good warranties. When ever we had a problem with any of our appliances we called and they came right out. Their repair men are great and always give advice on how to better care for your products. I also venture out to their clothing section and their baby section. They have something for every one.
Mainly just buy certain tools and the occasional appliance there
I worked there many years ago... when wages were 3.15 per hour... and still love the place
Answer: I'm not entirely certain, but, perhaps, because Sears only sells it's own stuff and isn't like Amazon or E-bay where you can sell on their site.
Answer: Find out what Baston Shoes is and how they work with Sears. I would also file a complaint with the Consumer Protection Agency, the BBB and all of the review sites on the internet. You'd be surprised how fast companies respond to BBB complaints.
Answer: My best recommendation would be to contact the corporate offices and work your way up the chain until you get someone in charge and let them know that taking your money without having the item 'in stock' and available to ship as soon as it is paid for is a violation of the Consumer Protection Act. If they still don't send it, I would file a complaint with the Consumer Protection Agency, the BBB and all of the review sites on the internet.
