My service at Sears and in particular with first floor manager Kathy at the Spring Hill Mall store has been more than excellent. Our paths have crossed many times and she has always been very helpful and understanding of my issue at that time, She is certainly an asset to this store and Sears in general.

Sears merchandise is pretty much on par with other stores like Target and JcPennys. Their customer service is not all that great, but they try to sell their stuff for much more then other stores. I tend not to shop at them because of that. They are pretentious and have no reason to be.

Two years ago I was getting ready to buy a home and wanted to pay off all my credit cards to make the loan package go more smoothly.
When I paid off Sears, they lowered my credit limit. When I did, it lowered my credit score.
I complained to Sears to see if they would re=instate the higher credit limit, but they said no they couldn't.
Naturally I closed the account and cut up the credit card and have never bought anything from them again with either cash or another credit card.
Please sitejabber, give us a choice for ZERO stars - that's what Sears deserves.
Except for sears appliance section it is a great disappointment. Clothes are cheaply made and very outdated.

I like Sears. Their merchandise is very good quality, returns are no hassle. Variety is good with top brands. I feel the stores do need a fresh look though as I think the décor does put customers off. Craftsman tools are a deal and the hand tools are warranted for life. Can't beat that.

Answer: My best recommendation would be to contact the corporate offices and work your way up the chain until you get someone in charge and let them know that taking your money without having the item 'in stock' and available to ship as soon as it is paid for is a violation of the Consumer Protection Act. If they still don't send it, I would file a complaint with the Consumer Protection Agency, the BBB and all of the review sites on the internet.
