Scammed by Otel.com

I am also having the same issues with otel.com. This company is appalling. Myself and many others have reported the company along with contacting numerous tabloids in the UK and Turkey.

Horrible

I am an essential employee driving a truck during the covid 19 virus. I used Otel to book a room for five nights. When I arrived at the Hotel I the credit card from Otel was declined. We tried for two hours to get ahold of them by phone and email. I then had to pay for the room again. For the last three weeks I have tried to get my money back but I still can't get ahold of anyone.

Horrible experience
Booked 3 nights at Walt Disney Orlando: when I called at the hotel to asked some questions about my upcoming stay, they couldn't find my reservation.
Chat 3 times with otel.com, got 3 differents stories... so I never got a room at Walt Disney resort. When at the end I asked for a refund due to covid-19 they said they can't reimburse because their partnership have strict rules...
Anyway worst experience ever, don't book with them to save money... it is not worth the trouble.
Finally I dispute the amount with my credit card...

Terrible experience with this company. Hotel I booked through them is closed due to COVID19 and they still won't provide a refund on the night booked even though they have not paid the hotel with my prepaid payment.

They had no problem taking our money... sending me "vouchers" but our hotel reservations said otel DID contact them, our hotel told them that their was no availability... otel refused to relay that information. And had no problem stealing iur money.

TURKISH SCAM

Metroglobal otel.Com and totel.Com is a company scam taking advantage of all paying citizens of every country in the world. Duh metroglobal. If he scams 300 dollars from everyone that just says oh well I got scammed and doesn't report then that's millions of dollars in his pocket in his country of Turkey. I just wanted a nice hotel but there bought and run by him and cockroach always under construction piece of $#*!s. We as consumers are suppose to just deal and mark a star on reviews. How many years is he going to get away with screwing everyone

I used this website to book a hotel. I was sent a confirmation email stating that my room was booked and my credit card had been charged. Over a week later I received another email saying that they have failed to reserve a room for me. Then I received THREE more emails confirming that I had a room. When I arrived at the hotel, they could not find my reservation. After about 15 minutes of searching cancelations from the last month, they found mine and told me that my travel agent (otel.com) had canceled my reservation. They also told me they were full and didn't have a single room available. After complaining on their website, they accused me of making and canceling several reservations for the same day, and then accused the hotel of canceling my reservation. They claim they will refund my money, I'm still waiting to see if that will happen. I would NEVER use this website again.

Bait ans switch

Otel IS A SCAM, I booked two rooms a Deluxe and Superior room and when I checked the reservation two weeks before the trip the Deluxe room was cancelled. When I contacted them that I saw the room was cancelled they said sorry and would booked another room. But what they did was to replace the Deluxe room that was cancelled with a Superior room a $431.46 difference in cost. I called, open a ticket and messaged with them several times for more than a week, they now claim when they advertise a deluxe or superior room that they are the same thing.

DO NOT BOOK! I cancelled a trip to Florida because of Covid-19. I called the hotel direct to let them know we were not coming, per the guidance of an OTEL member... the hotel refunded OTEL with no penalty. I have now been going back and forth with them to get a refund and they are saying their supplier does not accept the refund request. What kind of business is that?! There is a pandemic in this world, people are losing their jobs (I am now one of those people), and these people won't give me back my money when they received a full refund. GIVE ME A BREAK. Do not recommend.

Booked January 2020, with Otel. Com, pre paid our hotel in full, double checked the hotel had our booking by calling them directly at the hotel... They did.

However due to corona, our area had restrictions which meant we couldn't travel.

So I'd used the ticket service to contact Otel.com on their website, no response at all with regard to a refund request.

So I then called the hotel directly to check out our options...
They said they had no booking for us as it had been cancelled back in July!

They advised that Otel. Com used a middle agent who hadn't received any money that we'd paid directly to Otel. Com, which should have been paid directly onto the hotel, this hadn't been actioned, hence our hotel cancellation outcome.

Moral of the story is if I hadn't queried before our arrival, we would never have known our booking wasn't available... For October and really disappointed to be at reception & no hotel room.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY AND DO NOT USE...

Our friends bookings are in the same situation...

We will be using a charge back on our cards to obtain funds back...

BE WARNED PEOPLE

I booked a room for two nights on May 14th, staying for two nights at the Best Western Bayshore Inn for May 15th and 16th and I paid with my credit card, about $100 for each night. Otel.com sent me a confirmation and a voucher number and I was supposed to print out the voucher. There was no way to print out the voucher. The hotel did not have a record of the reservation, so I had to pay again. Fortunately, my bank flagged this as a fraudulent transaction and I received a refund.

Can not get any one to resolve issues they just provide conformation numbers that the hotel doesn't recognize.

TOTAL SCAM - PLEASE AVOID

We were stranded in Jamaica as a result of Otel.com. We paid them for a hotel only to learn they had cancelled the reservation after we paid. The hotel was booked for the week and we were stranded in a foreign country. Otel.com would not answer their phone or livechat. THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM and I am out $2100. AVOID AT ALL COST.

Don't book any travel with Otel.com, they are very dishonest and will steal your money! In January 2020, I booked a stay at a hotel in Dublin, Ireland for September 2020. As everyone knows, the Covid-19 Virus effectively closed travel to many countries. I attempted to contact Otel.com of Metglobal several times about canceling my reservation or at least give me a voucher to allow me to reschedule my stay at a later date. They never responded with a status to my request. I contacted the hotel in Dublin and they said "I booked through a third party agency and must communicate with Them. I would like to add that Dublin, Ireland was locked-down and remained so through when I had a reservation so I couldn't possible go to Ireland. In early September, Otel.com finally contacted me and said they have reached out to the hotel in Dublin about my request and would notify me with they heard from them. When my scheduled reservation had come and gone, and I still had not heard anything from Otel.com, so I contacted the hotel in Dublin once again. This time they told me that they had cancelled my reservation as I had requested and were not charging me and that I would need to contact Otel.com. I did and told them I had been in contact with the hotel in Dublin, know they cancelled the reservation without charging me and wanted to know the status of my refund. Their response, they deleted my account from their website so I could no longer access my information! Somehow, they apparently feel they should not have to refund anything even though everyone was on lock-down and couldn't travel!

SCAM - STAY AWAY
July 20, 2018

I booked Shangri La hotel Abu Dhabi from this website which is a 5* hotel, once I got in touch with the hotel they informed me that there was no booking for this hotel, rather a booking had been made for 4* hotel Traders Abu Dhabi instead. Have been trying to get this fixed by Otel staff for a while now but no luck. COMPLETE SCAM DO NOT BOOK.

DO NOT BOOK THROUGH OTEL.COM, METGLOBAL.COM OR HOTELS PRO! Absolutely be warned! I paid upfront a month in advance for my reservation and when I arrived at the hotel, they didn't have my reservation. I then had to pay the full amount again with the hotel, because the offer I paid for with "Otel.com" was never agreed on. After several promises that it would be resolved, the hotel informed me that Otel.com would take care of the costs... but then the OTEL.COM "company credit card in Istanbul" declined twice. I now have two charges and had to put in a dispute claim with my credit card company! DO NOT BUY OR BOOK ANY TICKET FROM OTEL.COM / METGLOBAL.COM / HOTELS PRO!

They firstly changed our nationality and said it's their mistake and didn't correct it yet!

Then They stool our money even after the hotel sent us formal email that they waved the cancelation fees.
