So my doctor put in a prescription for me on the home delivery. She wrote the wrong prescription of 1 tablet a week forgetting that it was increased dosage. 3 days later she put in a new prescription for 2 tablets a week. Optum fills and delivers the order 2 weeks later with the original dose. When i point that out to them, there response is oh nothing we can do you will have to wait till 90 days are up and then we will refill it with the correct dosage. No we cant adjust what we gave u you will have to wait till 90 days are up and meanwhile take the wrong dosage because our system will not update something untill our criteria is filled.
Always have problems ordering from OptumRX. Will order same RX for months and suddenly "under benefit review". Ordered meds on 1/3/2025, Optum delayed order for numerous reasons and provided mixed information on reasons for delay. I missed monthly dosage due to this. Finally arrived 1/21/2025.
Tried to fill out an online form for reimbursement for prescription drugs purchased w/o their card. The form refused to work in multiple ways, in ways that I have to believe are intentional to prevent me from completing the form. For example, you can fill out several categories of stuff, but in the final categories the forms break & force you to start over. For example, it asks for a city name or zip code for the pharmacy, but as soon as you type two or three charaters, the form freezes with an error message & gives no way to reenter or reset it other than abandoning all the work I'd done so far. Tried it with different browsers including Edge & same result. Have printed the paper form but with this experience have little confidence it'll go anywhere except to their recycling bin.
Optum owned by United Healthcare is such a mismanaged and disorganized outfit. Doctor submitted my 2 scripts and I logged in added payment method and I thought it was all good. That was until I received emails saying the order was on the hold without explanation. So I was forced to call - the rep couldn't find me name, member #, SSN, etc. Had to get a another gentleman on phone and he found my account. He explained the account was on hold because the price jumped up 300 % for Ubrevly and said it was due to the 40% deductible due up front on prescriptions. I said cancel that one and only keep my Toprimate which he said I have to transfer you back to another agent. That lady assured me she cancelled the expensive 353. Ubrevly and would process the 0.00 Toprimate for me. So here I been waiting and waiting and waiting for my pills and decided to log in look for tracking since Express scripts NEVER took this long and Ubrevly is on there for 991. And Toprimate is 25.40 not 0.00 copay like the rep said. SHE NEVER EVEN SUBMITTED THE ORDER LIKE SHE SAID SHE WAS DOING THAT NIGHT What a bunch of useless incompetent people.
This pharmacy did not answer the phone. They put you on hold with unlimited amounts of talking and commercials. If you have to wait half an hour to talk to someone, PLEASE GIVE US LIGHT MUZAK AND NOT ENDLESS BABBLE THAT MEANS WE CANNOT WATCH TV OR READ AS WE WAIT. I got so sick and tired of this endless barrage of crap, I opted for the call back. I finally got the call back, but when their stupid computer called me back, it made me press 1 to say it was me, but it didn't recognize the number press. I pressed 1 no less than 50 times. I finally registered and did it online, but then even though I put in my doctors address, when I called back to check the status (because the stupid system didn't update and tell me the order took and was processing), they used my home address and not my doctors address. I get botox for migraines (I have brain surgery scars on my scalp that cause a lot of pain), and it HAS to go to the doctor's office. I
Tried to call back to update this, and with an rx in process, it was even HARDER to get through to the option to speak to someone. I've wasted over A FRIGGING HOUR ON THIS AND I AM FURIOUS. I HOPE TO NEVER HAVE TO USE THIS SYSTEM AGAIN! I am still waiting for another call back in the futile hopes it will let me press one this time. This place is terrible.
They can never just fill a new prescription as the doctor ordered. They ask for additional authorizations from the doctors which causes delays. On top of that, there is no communication with the customer as to what is going on with it. Have to call and wait on hold for more info. Much easier to go into a pharmacy to pick it up but insurance requires this for long term prescription.
This company is absolutely disgusting to work with and unfortunately I am stuck with them because of my employer. They are driving me to wait to get my medication although it is available at Walgreens all because of policies. I will blast this company all over the internet. They are horrible. Stay away from them if you can.
I recieved a bill for 168.72 and from back in FEBRUARY.When i inquired about this the rude woman said it was my bill. I called the 2 credit card companies and they both told me no charge was ever made. However this woman insisted I PAY which I DID BUT I FEEL VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. In my life if there is no charge maybe they made a mistake. I FELT compelled to pay with the tone she was using.
THE WORST pharmacy experience I have ever had. My MD sent a prescription to them. I checked that they received it, the order status was "processing". A week later when the medication did not arrived I went to check the order status. I found that they just cancelled the order, and marked it "Cancelled: requested by you". Well, I did not request the cancellation, so they lied. Also, there were no communications, notifications or any kind of order updates from them. They just cancelled the order for a vital prescription and lied about it.
Because they call everyday all day like stalkers they never want anything just call. So I blocked them and going back to my old pharmacy. Plus Optum take to long to fill prescription and my doctors office called me to ask them too quit calling so much I was embarrassed. I put in prescription with them 2 weeks ago and still haven't gotten it
My daughter is a Type 1 diabetic who depends on insulin for her survival. Since December, we have had to contact her doctor to send an emergency prescription to a local pharmacy because OptumRx has failed to provide her with the insulin. March is apparently going to go the same way. Last month her order was set to be delivered on a certain day, when it didn't show up I checked the website where I saw they canceled the order. No phone call, no email, no text to let me know that the insulin, which was already going to be late, was out of stock. This is irresponsible and unreasonable. Be very wary of this company and anyone that forces you into their service, I'm looking at you, United Healthcare.
I requested a prescription transfer, was promised it would be done by 3 different representatives. After 2 weeks it was still not done. I was finally given the response that prescription would not be transferred due to "their policies". I would never use this service again, which is why i am paying more out of pocket now just to not deal with such horrid service.
I wish I could give them zero stars. They have no idea what is going on. It's easier to break out of prison than to get a reimbursement from them. I have waisted way too many hours of my life on the phone with them. Technology is so old probably using razor flip phones.
I'm gonna kill myself because of you. I'm tired of you. Your reps are great. But they can't do $#*! to resolve anything because the problems are your systems, your service and the fact that in years you have done NOTHING to "fix" anything. Your surveys are useless because YOU don't give a $#*! and that's why you don't listen to your customers. Everyone hates you. I hate you. You are the last company that should be in business with Healthcare because you absolutely, completely and entirely suck.
We've had so many problems with them. They don't ship our medicines out or they reject the prescription the doctor sends them. They have no communication with us they have never emailed me or called me about any problems. I wish we would've never had to switch. Don't use them and their prices are higher we had to switch because of our insurance.
My doctor sent 2 prescriptions to this specialty pharmacy. When I called them, they only sent me 1 of them and didn't say anything about the other one. 1 week later, I'm calling and asking why the most important order was completely missed. The woman, Michelle, took really long time, almost mocking me, asking me to repeat my number, then repeating it herself, and asking me to repeat it after herself again (WTF!). When I refused to repeat it for the 3rd time, she said she could not serve me and there's nobody she could transfer me to. So now not only they completely missed a very important order, there's no way I can still order it! I hope they go out of business as this is not the way to treat customers who you've already failed.
Their customer service people will, tell, you anything to get you off the phone. On three different occasions they told us outright lies about how to get more of a skin cancer cream, including twice telling us they had put through an 'override' so it could be refilled. Their was no override, and they admitted that when our local pharmacy called them.
It's hard to believe that a drug provider can be 'out-of-stock'. My guess is it is more likely they are holding off buying while trying to re-negotiate their cost from a manufacturer in order to get a better profit margin to pay for the unusually high number of vice-presidents they employ. A despicable company practicing business policies that places profits above customers.
Do not depend on these people. Your shipment may or may not happen. If it doesn't they could care less there is no way to get them to move quickly if you are waiting. Terrible service. Don't know about the product never got it.
I have 4 prescriptions. 2 of which they will not cover at all so I have to use other services(scripts RX, etc) and the other 2…it's a circus act getting them and I'm not sure where the alleged savings are either. I was misquoted on the pricing and good grief, am I ever tired of being the middle-man. Constantly wanting prior authorization and can't seem to find the ones confirmed to be sent. I sure hope my employer ditches them soon. Worst prescription provider I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with, hands down.
Answer: They are a legitimate pharmacy benefits manager for United Healthcare, but their prices and practices leave alot to be desired.
Answer: Don't hold your breath - they are all about money - not customer service
Answer: You can send them a message on their website which they won't even read for days, so it's a useless feature. You can also call them at 1 (800) 356-3477 and sit on hold for 10 minutes before getting a person to talk to. In my experience, calling them has never resolved whatever issue I'm calling about, but you can talk to someone.
Answer: Only bad part of this united plan. Optum is worse than poor. They misplace Rx's and then lie
