Beware it is ALL bad with this company. They short ship orders and won't credit your payments. Website is impossible...If you have an afternoon free just call their customer service BTW have a translator on hand.
Absolutely the worst pharmacy benefit manager I've ever dealt with. They refuse payment for clearly indicated medication's. They state there are appeals when I prescribe a cheap and effective medicine. The appeals process is impossible so that both providers and patients always just "give up." responsible employers, should not use this company.
Scammer. Price gouging and customer service is in Philippines. Broken English and shady as hell! I have got the run around from them to 3 other times and I am fed up I can't stand it anymore these people are the worst don't use them call your insurance company ask for someone else. Good luck!
When you call them, you are answered by a robot who ask Many questions. Speaking in plain english is not enough because you are asked to repeat. Very infuriating. Then when finally a representative (make sure you say advocate not csr) answers, this person has a thick foreign accent which is virtually unintelligible. I'm unsure to what I even agreed to. Then after first agreeing to take a survey you stay on the line and Nothing. I've been with united health care of years, but no more!
I have found their mail service. They ensure you are supposed to get the medicine, confirm it's being sent and that it has been received. I needed to correct an error I had made. Thinking I probably wasn't going to get a response, but having a few minutes spare time, I called on a Sunday afternoon. The call was promptly answered by a real person (surprise!) who accessed my file immediately, understood my situation, and made the requested change. I didn't have to deal with one robot or drop down menu. What a pleasure.
Of any business I've dealt with in my 60 yrs Optumrx has truly been the kindest, most patient, understanding, helpful & knowledgeable company I've dealt with. Every single time I've called (a lot) has been great. They text me everyday to remind me to take meds, email me to remind me to refill meds & were very helpful by offering a coupon for very expensive meds etc. They go above & beyond to see you get taken care of properly. They mailed my meds & i got them the next day. I've nothing but good to say. Highly recommend.
My spouse and I were pushed to this plan by UHC. UHC promised a seamless transition. We have had nothing but horrible experiences during the nearly four months using the insurance. They only care about savings for themselves and don't care about the health of the patients. They question the medication our doctors have prescribed without looking at our previous health issues, allergies etc. VERY UNHAPPY WITH THIS COMPANY AND WOULD DUMP IT IF COULD.
I requested a prescription transfer, was promised it would be done by 3 different representatives. After 2 weeks it was still not done. I was finally given the response that prescription would not be transferred due to "their policies". I would never use this service again, which is why i am paying more out of pocket now just to not deal with such horrid service.
I'm gonna kill myself because of you. I'm tired of you. Your reps are great. But they can't do $#*! to resolve anything because the problems are your systems, your service and the fact that in years you have done NOTHING to "fix" anything. Your surveys are useless because YOU don't give a $#*! and that's why you don't listen to your customers. Everyone hates you. I hate you. You are the last company that should be in business with Healthcare because you absolutely, completely and entirely suck.
Charging me almost $306 for my anxiety meds for a 30 day supply! Customer service is absolutely terrible! We switched from express scripts to these people I submitted my prescription request 2 weeks early and here we are 3 days before im out and my order has been cancelled for no reason!
Absolutely terrible. Employer switched to this company from express scripts. Never approves meds. Always trouble at the pharmacy… customer service was rude and condescending. They ought not to be allowed to operate
It seems there business is built around removing pharmaceuticals from the formulary to non-formulary so the patient must pay a lot more get get their medicine. Even generics are targeted. I feel bad if you're a cancer patient or a veteran. When you try to "appeal" it's a like an Olympic grade obstacle course. I failed 4 times on one drug, then was finally approved only to receive another denial. Thankfully I had filled the prescription so I received 90 days. Yesterday I received a notification they are not covering that drug, and another drug I been prescribed. The government needs to look into this company and it's executives.
I have had a chronic condition caused by a couple of car accidents more than 20 years ago - the condition will not get better only worse - never had any problem getting the medication for pain ( lidocaine patches) they keep denying the medication asking for all kinds of information that has been already given to them - they talk about ridiculous " solutions " like getting a neighbor to come over each day and rub the area! They are trying to force me to go the surgical route even though doctors (plural) have said it is more likely to make the problem worse ( and could cause paralysis or even death) but they do not care!
Now that i see other reviews, this is redundant. I've never dealt with a worse company. They screw up everything and good luck dealing with someone you can understand, I believe they only hire people with IQs of 80 or less
Amy spoke poorly about my physician and mislead me about when services would be initiated. She lacks professionalism. If you call for service after hours, no one will return your call. Do yourself a favor and don't use this company. The nurse is competent, so I'm not sure why she works for this company.
If you need customer service, good luck. I was passed around for 2 months about a wrong charge on our account. You have to deal with foreign people who you can't understand, you are given faulty answers and assured that things will be corrected with no results. Then when all else fails you are given a phase program that makes it impossible to calculate a charge for your future meds. I understand that advantage plans can implement stages of payment but the purchasing person should be correctly be informed of the charges made to your credit card. How else can one verify if the charges are legitimate? I will be searching for other pharmacies.
I can't even go into detail every prescription I have sent to this pharmacy has been either over charged, put on hold for no reason, it's the worst experience with a pharmacy you could ever have. PLEASE don't go here. You will regret it immensley!
This service is becoming worse and worse by the day. Mmm…. At this moment, all my medications on hold because they don't want to pay for the meds. I have this problem every time my doctor places an order with them. Their service is declining in gigantic steps. Very soon, they would be out of business. Shame on you OPTUMRX
Such a horrible experience! NO one speaks English! They say you don't have prescription there when you do!
Then. They say oh I see them! And give you prices that are outrageous! It's cheaper and less frustrating to go to your local pharmacy where they know what they are doing and speak English!
Horrible horrible place. 5 times on phone yesterday and nothing resolved. We had to change from express scripts (which was great) to these people who don't have a clue. Lost my business for sure!
The pharmacy techs are ignorant of the drugs they are discussing, billing fails to post payment, supervisors don't really care one way or the other that customers are satisfied, and waits are way too long. Drugs that should be delivered to my physicians office, are delivered to my home address. Thankfully, I am an RN, and know how to store (refrigerated!) the medication, until my appointment. As it was a $2000 drug, this sort of mix-up is not a minor thing. I could go on, but this paints the big picture. I would give NO STARS, but it isn't an option.
Answer: They are a legitimate pharmacy benefits manager for United Healthcare, but their prices and practices leave alot to be desired.
Answer: Don't hold your breath - they are all about money - not customer service
Answer: You can send them a message on their website which they won't even read for days, so it's a useless feature. You can also call them at 1 (800) 356-3477 and sit on hold for 10 minutes before getting a person to talk to. In my experience, calling them has never resolved whatever issue I'm calling about, but you can talk to someone.
Answer: Only bad part of this united plan. Optum is worse than poor. They misplace Rx's and then lie
Optumrx has a rating of 1.1 stars from 464 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Optumrx most frequently mention customer service, local pharmacy and mail order. Optumrx ranks 8th among Pharmacy sites.
