The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with ticket delivery, refund policies, and customer service responsiveness. Many customers report being charged exorbitant fees, receiving invalid tickets, and facing unresponsive support channels, leading to frustrations and claims of being scammed. While some customers appreciate the variety of events offered, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a lack of trust and reliability. The company's rigid policies regarding refunds, particularly for postponed events, further exacerbate negative perceptions, suggesting a need for improved customer service and clearer communication.

A scam DO NOT order from them. Will not send you the real tickets for your concerts. Called customer service to get more information and could not get ahold of anyone so I sent an email which was never answered. Finally go through a week later and they told me they are not a scam (something a scam company would say) and they would not refund my ticket that I never received. Be careful out there and make sure you are buying from a reputable seller. Lesson Learned
This company should be close, they are a ripped off company, they are a joke. I bought a tickets for Aventura concert and I'm the kind of person that read refund policies before buying anything, when I bought the ticket the policy said that for postponed events they cannot made refunds but if the concert get cancel they will provide a full refund so I agree to that. I called yesterday asking for the refund since my event was cancel and they told me that I will receive a refund and asked me just to wait for the email confirmation, so today June 1.st 2021 I received an email saying that they just change the policy and they are going to give me a credit. I do not want a credit, I want my money back, that was what I agreed when I purchase my ticket. It's so wrong. I will go to the end of this. It's ridiculous, I don't agreed for the new policy that they just changed for their convince. I want my money back #order #*******.
Purchased tickets to Elton John for this past May. Obviously, the pandemic forced the show to be "postponed". OnlineCity will only refund your money if an event is cancelled. So, today I learn the show has been "rescheduled" for 2022!- 2 years from the original date! Who knows where I (or Elton John) will be in 2 years, or what kind of shape either of us will be in? When you purchase tickets, you are paying for a specific event at a specific time (or at worst within a reasonable time frame). However, in the minds of OnlineCity mobsters, "rescheduling" gives them the right to keep your money indefinitely. It's a pretty good business model where the seller takes no responsibility for not providing services which were purchased in good faith. But, not so good for repeat business.
I purchased $550 worth of tickets then covid happened. They said they cant give me a refund because they can't guarantee that the guy o bought from through their site would get a refund. When I had proof that he was getting a refund and sent it to them saying now I want mybrefund they stopped talking to me. They started having automated responses that didn't answer any questions and they would never answer their phones.
Worst customer service combined with absurd policies and hidden fees. Dont waste your time with this company! I promise you there are way better and cheaper options out there.
Total rip-off sell tickets to concerts that are cancelled, postponed concert you have no idea that they will happen over a year in the future.
Submitted different shipping address when purchasing my tickets but the system did not pick it up and used my PayPal billing address for delivery (which I did not want for security reasons). I proceeded to use customer service chat and they changed the ship to address for me.
So I got Jimmy Buffett tickets and thet just rescheduled the concert for NEXT year! They will not give me a refund! I can underdtand if it is rescheduled a couple of weeks or a month out, but a year. I might not even be in the state in a year or even dead. This is complete BS and is just robbery. Anyone else have this issue. I usually buy from Ticket Master and they have always given refunds. I could not buy from Ticket Master and could only buy from this site. This seems like it should be illegal to do this. Anyone that can help, i would appreciate it.
Arthur was very professional and courteous. Helped to get us the tickets I wanted, helped with the pricing! Thank you so much! I am so glad the musical CATS came back to Dallas!
Would not refund tickets minutes after I purchased the tickets. I failed to see an exorbitant $127 service charge and clicked the button before realizing it. Additionally, they sent an email that said I would be receiving my tickets at the very latest 4 days before the performance. 3 before the performance, and I still didn't receive the tickets in my email. I had to go to their website and get them to download it to my email myself. No one should have to do this for the amount of money that we pay for these tickets. Customer service is dead.
The Alabama concert that was supposed to occur in Tallahassee on 10/10/19 has been postponed until September of 2020. When I called to ask for a refund, as the civic center suggested, they said they would not refund my money. Had I bought my tickets from the Civic Center, they are giving refunds to those who purchased tickets from them until October 17,2019. Had I known this, I would have never purchased from them. The customer "service" person couldn't care less. And, I had to pay extra fees when I bought the tickets!
$#*!ing $#*! scamming $#*! bags! Ordered tickets and got big $#*! run around so sick of all these picks taking our money!
I am aware that I am paying above face value for my tickets... face value $99.50 per ticket... I had the pleasure of paying for $646.83 for two tickets... I wouldn't mind... however I chatted up with people before the concert... they paid a fair price above face value from the same company I used but with different sellers... can you imagine how awful I felt being legally extorted?... buyer beware
Ordered 2 tickets for $239 ea. When order processed i was charged $170 service fee. They hide that info in the upper left hand corner off of your screen so you dont know. I tried to cancel the order through customer service and they said "sorry". BBB should shut them down.
I purchased a ticket months ago from a James Ferrier for the July 25th Khalid concert.
Once at the gate, my ticket was scanned numerous times and came up continuously as being INVALID.
I was then sent to the box office where they scanned the ticket and told me it had been "doctored" by the seller.
This was not only frustrating but also embarrassing! For one, I overpaid for the ticket over $100 and then to be scammed!
I will be filing a complaint with the BBB as well as posting this complaint and warning my friends and family not to do business with this company!
Online work is some time good and some time bad because of some company done fraud and they create a bad image of online work
Worst customer service I've expirenced ever, would never do business with this company again. I would reccomend finding tickets any other way other than this company. Awful customer service, charges exorbiant fees, my guess is they have have a repeat customer. Not sure why BBB does'nt do more.
Losing our tickets was one thing, but I've never had such poor customer service.
First, we ordered our tickets months in advance. They never came in the mail. OnlineCityTickets never notified us of attempted delivery, of failure to deliver, or of loss.
Second, they *kind of* attempted to reissue them but did not, apparently because the originally seller would not or could not. Internally, the Customer Service Department does not handle contact with sellers (so couldn't give me info), but would not connect me to their Box Office Department, either to give me the seller's name or to communicate to me what steps had been taken to try to reissue the tickets (all the CSD could say was that they were unable to reissue the tickets). Neither would they connect me with a manager or give me any way to escalate the problem.
Third, throughout the experience, both individuals were rude and dismissive. They never apologized for our inconvenience (we had someone fly out for the show as a mother's day present and this all happened the day of the show--and given this, I went out of my way not to yell).
Fourth, they couldn't tell me what happened to the tickets after they reported the loss (i. E., were they void or valid and floating around somewhere, could we try to claim the presumably empty seats, could the originally seller have simply resold the tickets?). I asked two men, who gave two completely inconsistent answers, and it was clear that they had a script, which they kept repeating to me (literally saying, "I repeat").
In sum, I'm sure the company is fine when things go smoothly, but ultimately they are a third party seller who buys from other third party sellers and who has no control over the tickets they sell. That's hardly unique. But they have uniquely poor internal policies and customer service department. They'll just cut you a reimbursement check and call it a day. So don't use them for any shows you would be upset missing.
COMPANY TAKES YOUR MONEY PERIOD
TOOK MY MONEY AND DID NOT GET TCKETS GOT AN EMAIL THEY WOULD ARRIVE 2 DAYS BEFORE CONCERT. I MADE A CALL TO CANCEL BECAUSE OF MEDICAL ISSUES. ALL OF A SUDDEN THE TICKETS ARRIVED. WOULD NOT REFUND ME. TOLD ME I COULD RESELL. FUNNY THAT ONLY AFTER THAT CALL WAS I ABLE TO ATTEMPT TO RESELL. CRUEL, INSENSITIVE AND ONLY LOOKING OUT FOR THEIR BORROM LINE.
I called in to purchase tickets for a concert I'm taking my granddaughter to in August. Since I haven't been to this venue I didn't know how to choose the tickets online. She was very helpful and booked tickets that should be great. I got the email to rate before getting the tickets, so be patient before posting your review.
Answer: In my case, they sent e-mail that the tickets would be forthcoming. When I failed to receive them the week before the concert, per e-mail download as promised, I called their #, the person on the other end told me that it was will-call at the box-office with the copy of the e-mail I needed to bring. The box office told me that as a 2nd line seller, they did not keep them there. When I called to ask why they did this to me and demanded re-imbursal, they sent the tickets per e-mail download THE DAY AFTER THE CONCERT. They tried to cover their tracks with the credit card company, the problem for them was that the time stamp of their sending the tickets reflected the day after the concert. So essentially, they are not even competent as rip-off artists.
Answer: So sorry to hear you have been conned by this outfit. Apparently sometimes they DO send valid tickets, so I hope you are one of the lucky ones. I suggest you tell your credit card company (by phone and IN WRITING) that you are disputing this charge. Also tell everyone you know to avoid this rip-off company. I know this doesnt help you now, but in the future buy tickets only from Ticketmaster (I've never had a problem with them). Good luck.
Answer: I couldn't even open the download so I called the number and all I got was an answering system to send email and I did but no reply from them so the next day a call about 50 times until I got someone. After getting transferred to 3 different people and waiting about an hour for the supervisor the guy told me no refunds are allowed but money is 100% guarantee if it doesn't work at the time of the event. So I'm praying to God they are good the event isn't until the end of November
Answer: They are scoundrels. I know where their office is and went by there recently. I am laying out a plan.
Answer: If you have already purchased your tickets from this outfit, good luck. They sent me tickets for a concert in Tennessee and I asked for and live in Florida. They said it was MY mistake and that I asked for TN. They supposedly tried to resell the tickets and couldn't so I was out $300.00 for two tickets. They have something like 130 complaints and are a scam outfit. Next time order elsewhere and good luck with these tickets.
Answer: I just cancelled my order because they never sent the tickets. At least you got yours so maybe they will be okay. I would call the arena where the event will be and ask them how many issues they have had with this company. I emailed five times and they always sent an automated response back. Then, when I was in a meeting at work they finally called and the number just read, "33333" when they called me. No return phone number... very strange. They left a message to call them so I did immediately after my meeting (15 minutes)... the automated system was up and did not allow me to speak with a person. Thus far, I have never spoken to a real person when I call their number. I disputed the purchase, got my money back and bought tickets for much less at StubHub. I was surprised because my last tickets at Stubhub were kind of expensive... but these tickets (McCartney) were not too crazy expensive. Anyway, best of luck, and I would make a back up plan.
Answer: You will get your tickets, but they will likely have someone else's name printed on them. Worst of all, they will most likely not be honored at the gate/box office. My advice is to get a refund NOW and buy tickets from a reputable outlet like Ticketmaster. City Online are thieves and scammers. See my review about James Taylor concert in Norfolk, Virginia.
Answer: Contact the venue, give them all the details on the tickets received and verify if U will be able to legitimately use the tickets, considering the issues with this company that are so overwhelming. My experience reviewing all the people who describe their issues with them is that even if the tickets are usable, the overpayment is so excessive that it would have been better dealing with the regular ticket outlet for the venue.
Answer: Yes Ann, you will get your tickets. You just over paid by a HUGE amount... but other then that, the company is legit. They are just robbers the way they do it... thats all. Have a good time and yes, at least now you learned a lesson (like all of us on this site);-)
