To all prospective customers of Oak Furniture Land…. Shop elsewhere!
Three months ago I spent £700 on a bed only for the company to then cost me a further £1200 in lost earnings (I am self employed) as they proceeded to screw up my initial delivery date, and then only delivered half of the bed when they did eventually come. Since then I have told my story of woe to three different customer relations people AND twice in emails to the CEO himself.
I have been offered the risible amount of £100 in in-store vouchers, which I have politely refused. Never before have I been treated with such indifference.
Once they have your money they quite literally couldn't care less!
I bought a table 10 months ago a white mark appeared home serve restorer visited wrote a false report oak world refuse to fix table unless a I pay for independent assessor There furniture is made up with faulty wood they should be investigated
I purchased 4 seater sofa because of urgency but the quality is terrible and I am very regret to pay almost 1000£ for this. Fabric is really disturbing in terms of softness, feather used inside the pillow is made from like straw. Never advise.
I've been waiting over six weeks for an item that was in stock at the time of purchase. Customer service have made four promises of call backs that they didn't make. Called today and was told there is another delay, that no one thought to call and tell me about, and it will be another two weeks.
Another item was dumped on the doorstep and the delivery driver was gone before I could even get to the door.
I'd recommend you shop elsewhere.
After waiting weeks for our new furniture this rubbish turned up. Unfortunately this rubbish was out classed by oak furniture lands customer service. Still waiting for an update on what they are going to do about it.
I have tried calling customer services for 2 days, I have been cut off 4 times after waiting over an hour each time. Called local branch who said nothing they can do, although he put a request through for a call back surprise surprise no call. These want reporting to Watchdog. I will never purchase anything from them again. If I could have scored them a 0 I would have.
My table looks nothing like the one I ordered. I have complained and sent photos. Yet all I get told is its expansion gaps. Completely butted up on one side can slot a pound coin in on other yet I am told this is normal. Rude and patronising customer service staff. Won't ever spend another penny in their shop. Absolute garbage!
Received a delivery for a 3 seater sofa and heavily disappointed. Lightweight construction, very cheaply upholstered with loose threads all over. Far eastern manufacturing made in a rush to send over to muggy customers like me. And you too if youre not careful.
Visited Weston super mare store today 05/08/2019 we were very surprised how much choice there was. Viv the lovely lady that works there was very quick to help us and then left us to look at all the options.we have ordered some furniture from there today and would definitely recommend any one else to pay them a visit. We will going again in the near future.
Bought a lovely looking sofa on Feb. The sofa is so soft my husband sinks way down and I don't even sit on it. It looks nice to look at but you cannot sit on it? Very poor value for £800 pounds. Will never buy sofa from this company again!
Ordered 2 and 3 seater sofas.
1. Both turned up damaged.
2. Customer service atrocious, wanted to send upholsterer out to repair our BRAND NEW
Sofas, when refused, they then offered less than 5% discount, told them to take away

Next morning.
3. Made the call but could not get past the customer service rep, who informed me the
Original offer of 5% was still in place, no managers were available, I was to dispose of
Packaging, and to make sure I returned the mirror and clock which were part of the offer
On my purchase, as if I was going to keep them.
4. To add insult to injury she told me the amount they were going to refund and the total
Was MINUS their delivery charge!

Were recently bought a number of items. After a couple of weeks one of the sofa cushions was clearly faulty. Attempted to contact customer services four times by phone and was held on the phone for up to 20 minutes before they cut off the call. Contacted the store who said they could do nothing. Emailed customer services and didn't get a reply. Be aware that if the goods are faulty you cannot expect any help from customer services.
Ordered the Shay Tallboy on 14/10/2020 to go with bedroom furniture bought earlier in the year. Was stated 13 week delivery. It was delivered today with clear damage to a corner of packaging. On opening that corner it was clear that one of the feet had broken away from the corner mount. Phoned to report damaged item and on hold for an hour, during which time my partner, seeing how upset I was, and not wanting to wait another 13.5 weeks for a replacement, has fixed it. His repair is stronger than the whole item. He's now going to put longer screws into the remaining 3 feet as they were fixed into the body of it by screws that were way too short. We're really not impressed with the quality of the furniture when you look closely at the base and back.
Huge wait for delivery and no explanation other than 'sorry I understand' when I wait in all day and it doesn't arrive. Not the service you'd expect from a company like this
This is by far my worst experience. The store said the bed would be assembled, they left it for me in a box and did not assemble it. It is a king sized bed and my husband is away.
This is a frequent complaint I hear from a trusted source. Never trust what the sales staff say. They tell lies to get the orders, The customer service manager obviously lacks training and has no idea how to solve issues like this. Nothing was done to help, they offered £20 towards me paying someone to assemble the furniture.
In future I will stick to furniture village, certainly won't be using them again. I will be informing training standards too.
I feel sorry for the owners of the Company, they will get one time only customers. Hopeless!
If it would let me give this sham of a company 0 stars then I would have.
I waited 3.5 months for my order to be delivered to then be told a couple of days before the scheduled delivery date there was a delay and I would need to wait at least another month.
I then asked for a refund. I have now been waiting over 2 weeks for this and still haven't received my refund! I have rang them several times and their customer service is appalling.
I am seriously considering taking them to trading standards!
Avoid this company at all costs!
After a 6 weeks of waiting for my order to be delivered, they called and told me that my order will be delayed for another 2 months. After telling them i would like my money back, they promised to have my money £800 refunded within a week. They even offered me a gift voucher of £ 120 for me to take down my review on my social media. This was 3 weeks ago now. Still nothing in my bank. Poor customer service and took forever to answer their phone. Worst company i have ever experience. Ending up contacting trading standard.
Awful. Ordered two lamp tables which were guaranteed in two weeks. When they finally arrived over a month later they had large stickers and anti-tip mounts affixed to the back. I had not intended on putting them against a wall but the back was so ugly it would have been impossible to put them anywhere else. I called to return and was advised by Steve, one of the most aggravating Service Managers I have ever encountered, that the product was not faulty and in an abundance of caution they install the mounts and stickers. He would not waive the return fee which was $250. I explained to no avail that the description never stated the tables needed to be placed against a wall and he pointed me to the T&C term which basically reads that the company can ship you any variant on the description it wants. I was incredulous. I'll never order from the store again.
Terrible customer service – I was charged twice for an order of £670 I made in December. 3 x 90mins on the phone to the rude customer services team and a number of unanswered emails. I really need the money I am owed, it's a months rent, 3 weeks and no response. Appalling – do not buy from this company!
My leather sofa has started to fade in one area. 14 months old.
Tried the insurance but they say the fade is people wear and not covered. This sofa is not fit for purpose and now I have to go to County Court to get them to resolve the problem whilst they bury their head and hope it goes away.
BUYER BEWARE!
Answer: They won't last long. The store managers are terrified that the stores will close as people use the internet for OFL products. Naturally there will be more internet complaints so the company will struggle. Avoid, unless you have lots of time to waste.
