Ordered boots for pick up next day/ Tuesday.When nothing was updated I called the store on Wednesday and was told they've been delivered at 7 PM the night before they just hadn't gotten around to updating my email. The store later called to say while they were in the store they weren't at pick up yet because they had over 2000 orders they had to process so I should wait a few hours before I came in. I waited more than few hours. The clerk went back to look for it for about 30 minutes, then came out and said he was going to check the dock. As far as I know, one week later, he still there, because he never came back. Someone else took my phone number saying they look into it and get back to me, needless to say, they didn't. I tried to reach out to customer service online to cancel, and they told me because they were "in the store" which clearly they are not. I had to call the store. Still trying to resolve it because store says they want' to continue to look. It's sad because I remember when Nordstrom's used to be a store that set itself apart by caring for its customers but clearly that's not the case now
I reported that my order was missing an item. It was small and got lost in the packaging. I emailed them to say it was missing. Instead of looking into my order, they sent a new one and charged me AGAIN. Before i knew this, i emailed them to say i found the item, but now they charged me for two. When you are missing an item it means YOU PAID FOR IT AND IT'S NOT THERE. NOT, YOU NEED TO PAY TWICE FOR TWO. Cha-ching anyone?

Stopped doing business with Nordstrom a few years ago as their customer service dropped to levels lower than Walmart. Bought about $3,000 in clothes over the last month and have experienced even worse service than the last time I was a regular customer. Trying to simply have alterations done on three suits, a blazer and dress shirt bought there, they make customers jump through hoops JUST to receive a Nordstrom Note, NOT refund for advanced paid alterations on their items. Other higher-end retailers do not make customers go through egregious processes to have items tailored. I've spoken with THREE different levels of "customer service", and the only consistent theme are the words " I am so sorry, there's nothing I can do, you'll have to call...". I am officially permanently done with Nordstrom. Their policies have gotten in the way of accomplishing any form of common sense service. They may be to busy focusing on social justice and other non-sense instead of just selling clothes. Far better options, consider Neiman Marcus, Von Maur and the like. Bye Nordy.
I have shopped at Nordstrom for 35 years. Back in the 80s, service in the store was excellent. Nowadays, like most businesses, good sales staff is hard to find, so it's gone downhill, but they are still generally nice, just not as knowledgeable or helpful. Maybe they are no longer on commission. I had a friend who worked there back in the 80s and it was all backstabbing behind the scenes, fighting for customers.
Their online staff are still excellent. They speak fluent English and know good customer service. They sound like Americans and I really appreciate that. This isn't a racist rant, I am simply saying that it makes the conversation easy, as opposed to some businesses with agents from a different country so they don't understand English well, leading to frustrating phone calls. I appreciate that Nordstrom is willing to spend more money on good customer service.
It seems they have finally realized that they need to discount their prices to stay in the game. If I can, I buy from them. But if the price is lower elsewhere, I buy elsewhere.
My one warning is to track your returns if mailing. A couple of times, I had to call because they didn't process my returns.
I recently ordered a gift card for my grand daughter for her college graduation. I selected standard shipping and was expecting it by Monday, having ordered it on Friday. I never received a confirmation and when I called to inquire about it I found it hadn't even shipped and she could expect to get it by the following Monday. That is 10 full days FOR A GIFT CARD. Amazon would have had it there the next day for free. All Nordstom customer service had to say was that if I wanted 2 day shipping it would be $25 FOR A GIFT CARD. This from a store that is supposed to be the epitome of service. I will stick with Amazon in the future.

Nordies has been devoted to customer service since the day they opened, all the way back when they were a small shoe store. I'm a third generation devoteé of this excellent retailer.

My last three experiences shopping at Nordstroms has not been pleasant. I am a regular customer, and I'm surprised by the quality of service.
For my first shopping experience, I ordered a pick up order and asked for it to be gift wrapped. Just in case before giving the gift, I checked to see that I received the correct item. The eyeshadow palette I bought had eyeshadow smeared all over it. It was not presentable as a gift. I had to go back the next day and ask for a refund.
My second shopping experience is an item I ordered that was delivered to the wrong address. It was delayed twice, and then when I received a delivery notice, it was said to be delivered in a different city. I had to call customer service and ask for a refund.
My third experience is from a Nordstrom gift I received. The gift came with no barcode sticker, and no order number/gift receipt. I do not like the item and I want to return it, but I can't because I don't know what the order number is. I called customer service and they told me I have to contact the sender to get the order number.
I'm very disappointed at the quality of service Nordstrom is offering. This was always my go to department store for orders, but now it looks like I need to start shopping somewhere else.
Returned several items ordered on-line because they had obviously been worn and were damaged in very obvious ways, one of the dresses didn't even come with the belt it was supposed to come with. Nordstrom refunded 2 of the 3 items but claimed they did not receive the third. They had provided a separate label for each item through their own carrier (Newgistics) and each of the 3 items was shipped back in separate boxes on the same day. After claiming that they had not received the third item I went on-line to search for their carriers web site and finally found it and tracked the package myself. Once I confirmed that the item had been delivered to Nordstroms return center on the same day as the other 2 items I called them to ask why they were claiming they had not received the item when their own carrier proved they had. The CSR quickly changed her story from they had not received the item to they were not able to confirm what item was in the package they received. I asked her how that was my problem and if they had no record of what was in the package how they could deny that it was the item I had sent. After talking in circles with the CSR for over 10 minutes I asked to speak to her supervisor, she responded that her supervisor was unavailable and hung up on me.
This is not the first time I have had problems returning items using the labels provided by Nordstrom, but it will be the last. I will choose to buy from other retailers who do not steal my money.
I went to the store and ordered the boots I wanted when they came in the mail they had a couple scratches and dried mud on the bottom of them so I took them back to the store the lady said she doesn't know how that happened so she ordered me a new pair with one day shipping she said they would be here today and they aren't here because they are still in Oregon where they were being shipped from so I called the store and talked to the manager who said there's nothing he can do they will be there tomorrow so I told him I wanted my money back and all he said was "ok you can return them to the store at your earliest convenience have a nice day bye" and then hung up
Who doesn't like this store! - I enjoy the kids shoe department, savvy clothes section for women and the salon shoes! I also like to look@ the purses.
Nordstrom is the worst company ever. I placed an order #*******. For a bag worth $433.50 on June 17th 2023.I got a notification that my package was out for delivery on June 20th with a delivery company called UDS. I have never heard of them. Nobody rang the bell, or contacted me. I got a notification from Nordstrom that package was delivered to my mail room, not my apartment, as I had indicated my complete address as i work from home. I went to the mail room, and there was no package there for me. The courier company had left a picture with a proof of delivery that belongs to someone else and was delivered by FedEx on the 4th floor. The package has a different name on it, and was in a FedEx envelope. How does a bag fit in an envelope? I contacted Nordstrom with all the pictures and proof that my package was not delivered.but they say, they are not responsible for the courier drivers, and the update is final.Since Nordstrom has taken ot upon themselves to frustrate me this past two days for deciding to spend my money on their website.I have spoken to over 10 different people regarding this. Nordstrom says that they are not able to refund me as the package already says it was delivered. I do not know what happened to using a professional delivery company that can be accounted for. You choose to give my package to a delivery company that have not be heard of, and now you saying you do not have control over the delivery company.Do not patronize Nordstrom.They willingly steal your money.They are thieves in broad day light!
Don't listen to the haters. Nordstrom is pretty great. In-stock status actually means something with them, and returns are easy and free. Also, the site is easy to browse.
I originally purchased an order on 12/18/2020 and paid extra money for shipping so that I can get my order in by 12/23/2020. I received an email on 12/23/2020 stating that my order was going to arrive on 12/28/2020 due to shipping delays. ( Which I completely understand with everything going on) Then on 12/28/2020 I receive an email stating that my order was cancelled. I called customer service and after being on hold for 1.5hrs (which again I did not mind because I understand that due to the pandemic there are major delays everywhere.) The representative stated " Their system does that from time to time and they do not know why" So I said ok and decided to reorder the item which they stated was on back order NOW that they cancelled my time. So I had them reorder my item and was ok with getting item when it became available as it was an item that I had been wanting for a long time and finally had the money to purchase it. My item was reordered on 12/28/2020 and they told me it would be available to on or around 01/06/2021. Today it is 01/09/2020 I went online to check my status as I had not received an email regarding my item and they stated that my item was CANCELLED AGAIN and this time there was no email sent to notify me on this. I have tried to email, and call Nordstrom about the situation and they have not responded. I did not authorize them to cancel my order and am super annoyed that they keep cancelling it. The item is not discontinued and is still showing as available on their website. I would not recommend shopping online with them again.
I love this store they have the best quality clothes and customer service! I buy clothes that don't fall apart and that stand the test of time. The makeup is always amazing. Love the show selection!

Answer: I have bought a fair number of designer handbags and sunglasses from Nordstrom. In all cases (depending on designer) the handbags were marked inside by the designer, where the item was made, usually a serial number and often a certificate of authenticity. This is especially true of the couture items i. E. Prada, Yves St. Laurent, etc. I have never questioned an items authenticity that I purchased from Nordstroms. They are way too big to risk their rep on fakes.
