I placed an order online for a gift set on sale. Received an email the next day that my order was cancelled because the item was out of stock. Checked the web site the next day and they had the item in stock at full price.
I am shopping at Nordstrom for years. Yes they do cancel items every now and then. But were good at refunds. But I had a recent bad experience. They hv some new sellers in place, who lie about refunds and claim customer damaged their product. Peachaus - SoldThrough refused to refund my money, when I had right away packed the product and sent back. So now I didn't have product or money.
Next I contacted Nordstrom for days. Talked to 5 different agents. Each gave me different whtabout sob story. One even said they will override and put a request for refund, but next day on my app it said otherwise.
So basically not only they shove on customers bad suppliers but then ask customers to deal with them. On top their customer service agents don't follow through. They don't send you record of chat on email, or issue case number. I am not even sure the agents do wht they promise they will do. The first one said they will file an escalation. But shouldn't you get an email that confirms that. When I heard from no one for 2 days I had to followup and explain everything Again. In contrast Amazon issues you refund rightaway, even if it was to be issued by the vendor. Amazon doesnot want to loose customers. I am deleting Nordstrom app. Never again will be disrespected by staff of this company. Very illtrained and supplier-focused company. Hope they enjoy their new vendors while losing goodwill and loyalty of customers.
Nordstrom is using a unreliable 1 star delivery service - T Force - that never delivered my package. They marked it as delivered at a locker at exactly 8:36 PM, but never delivered it. My building has cameras that were able to show no delivery service entered the locker room around that time. And they marked as delivered. An outrageous lie. Lost about 2 hours between chats, calls and my building office trying to figure out where the package was. Nowhere. Still in T force truck for all I know. Nordstrom should not work with such an unreliable service. It is a shame.
Terrible experience! Purchased a very nice perfume for the wife and it included a free gift due to the cost of the item. I received the box completely sealed and in good condition. Upon opening the package it only included the free gift but not the perfume. I reached out to make them aware of the incident. They claim all the items were shipped and would not provide a refund or re-shipping. I was not interested on a refund but now I find myself without the item and $300+ out of pocket. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING ON LINE. I highly recommend going to the store if you can't find the item somewhere else.
At 1st I had some issues receiving a cologne purchased from Nordstrom.com which was intended as a birthday gift for my friend, and I was unsuccessful in getting the situation resolved using the normal route of emailing Nordstrom's customer service. Once the right contact noticed my situation and got in touch with me from Nordstrom corporate, Nordstrom worked with me very well to resolve my issue fully. I am grateful for their kindness and the length they went to help me-- they really went above and beyond in the end!
I got a Tory Burch bag from Nordstrom. I used it only for four months and it got all ripped in rain. It got all discolored the $600 bag looks like fake. I have people commenting on my bag saying that I got fake bag they should not be selling stuff to people And ripping them off. It's not fair because some people they save their money to buy a good bag and this is what they get. It's a shame. I tried contacting Tory Burch. I tried exchanging in Nordstrom and at the end I'm disappointed and writing the review it pinches me because I saved all that money for so long and now I can't even use my bag.
I went into the women's dept. to look for a dress. I was in there for 25 minutes and not one sales person asked if I needed help. I saw 5 sales people while I was in that dept. looking around and only 1 was helping someone. The others were either walking around or chatting with each other. It was like a ghost town. I will not shop in the women's dept. again. This was in Kenwood Towne Center, in Cincinnati.
Bought a Le Creuset at black friday sale, they cancelled my order several days later, saying they ran out of the item. Of course, the item is still available, at twice the price today.
Shady practice. Wouldn't do right by me even when I communicated with their customer service.
Taking my business elsewhere.
Nordstrom has been going downhill for several years now, but Christmas time was a joke. Nordstrom Alderwood had NO holiday wear, no salespeople to be seen, (except in shoes, and I waited 10 minutes and had to flag someone down!) and instead of the classy pianist they usually have at the holidays, they had a woman with stringy (dirty?) long hair with filthy running shoes "DJing". I was so disappointed. Nordstrom used to be so classy, but their new "hip" style is losing them money! I grew up on Nordy's shoes, but they don't even fit them any more! I used to love to go a couple times a week, it was my only reason to go to the mall, but when the salespeople don't even dress in nice clothes, it says plenty. I'm sad to say goodbye.
Nordstrom's shipping "LSO" repeatedly screws up. Left my package by the curb this time instead of covered porch. Fortunately got home early enough to get it off grass before rain started. Nordstrom Customer service has tanked, and complaints get no results. After 25+ yrs shopping there, I'm about done.
I used to be a Nordstrom loyal customer but definitely Not Anymore. 4 months ago I returned 3 gowns and even though the tracking number proves they have received it they refuse to pay for my refund and saying "they can't validate the contents of the package that was delivered" which is such an absurd excuse. If you want to continue shopping from them you should know there is no guarantee they give your money back after your returns. They don't deserve a single star

Filed complaints and treated trash, disgusting and disrespectful like I made up the issue. I had been their client for more years. Guys you will never know until it happens to you, I am a business owner with principles please pay attention to this business they are not fair.
I purchased a Christmas gift for my wife through their website. When I purchased it the item came off being listed on the website as if I had bought it. Received an email today saying that they made a mistake and never had the item in stock in the first place. Life goes on, the wife will understand she's getting something else a little later instead, not the end of the world I know.
Just out of interests sake though I checked the website after getting the email and they have again listed the item they "never had" as available. I'd think a lot of their online stock doesn't actually exist in physical inventory based off my sole experience with them. At least I got my money back which is better than a lot of reviews here.
Also as you read the positive reviews notice how strangely generic and similar they all are and ask yourself if those are real as well.
I received a used wallet with scratches. In a dust bag for a purse and no box. I called customer service and was told you can just return it and buy it again. Really what is going on these days.

I ordered my fiance diamond pearl David yurman earrings for valentines day. Today she opens up the box, and to our surprise there are NO earrings in the box. I will never order anything from nordstrom ever again.It was a box of tissue and an empty pouch.
They keep sending me shoes in damaged boxes, and now they're even sending me damaged shoes. I bought a $500 pair of boots that arrived scratched and dented. They did absolutely nothing to remedy the situation besides saying that I can return it. Never buying from them again.
Beware of ordering on line. Nordstrom advertises on the web site products it no longer has in stock, will take the order and credit card info then cancels the order two days later (too bad if you have bought accessories to go with it!) no System in place for inventory control? Phone customer Service is a 15 min hold time... not good
Ordered a gift for Valentine's Day for pick up. Somehow got sent to my old address. I contacted customer service ASAP. The man said he would change after an hour on phone with him. Went to store and they only had half of order available. I wasted 2 hours for nothing!
Place online order attempted to pay using Nordstrom credit card. Charge was declined because address did not match. I checked the address on my statement made sure everything matched still declined. Spoke to customer service response was close browser and try again. We have had problems with website. Why has it not been fixed?
I like Nordstrom but the App frequently fails. That's frustrating after spending time sorting through an order to have to call. I was happy to read today in a trade mag that Nordstrom's just hired some big tech geek to overall their app so they must know there is an issue. Also, the color representations on all the cosmetics are frequently off, it's even mentioned in the reviews. And probably like most women, I end up keeping this shade of slightly-wrong lipstick then mailing it back. But more and more, am turning to Neiman's because their app is much better. Am looking forward to seeing Nordstrom improve their online presence.

Answer: I have bought a fair number of designer handbags and sunglasses from Nordstrom. In all cases (depending on designer) the handbags were marked inside by the designer, where the item was made, usually a serial number and often a certificate of authenticity. This is especially true of the couture items i. E. Prada, Yves St. Laurent, etc. I have never questioned an items authenticity that I purchased from Nordstroms. They are way too big to risk their rep on fakes.
