On multiple attempts, their checkout process refuses to input my credit card number. I can't order anything from them. I have an excellent credit rating and can order from all other sites.
I think the high end online stores in general like Saks, Nordstrom, and Neiman Marcus have bad customer service. Their customer service people are actually there to be polite to you, but other than that they have no interest in doing something that will help you. Nordstrom apparently has a strange way of posting charges to your credit card account, and my credit card company flagged two of their charges as fraudulent. It caused a huge mix-up. Honestly, all I want is my Christmas gifts I bought for someone. I called Nordstrom customer service to try to straighten it out, and the lady was polite, no help at all, didn't have the slightest idea what to do, took a guess as to what I might do, and then when she was finished she asked, "Is there anything else I can do to help you?" or something like that. I know a lot of people hate Amazon, but Amazon and Zappos (which is owned by Amazon, isn't it?) have the BEST customer service, because if there's a problem THEY FIX IT. They're not just there to say blah blah blah and then not do anything. In fact, I would rather endure a little rudeness (not that they're rude) and then get a problem fixed than listen to niceness from people who are no help at all. Nordstrom has nice customer service people who are no help at all.
I have been purchasing from Nordstrom for over 10 years and in the last few years have noticed the quality of the merchandise I receive is really bad. They send out shoes that have been worn, I received a handbag that cost 1,500 with pen marks all over the outside. I have had numerous packages misdelivered and items missing from orders. I recently purchased over $1000 in items from Nordstrom including $20 Acrylic Marker set. When I received my order the markers were missing so I called to tell their "customer service" - side note - what happened to their customer service department? What was once the best is now horrible. They pass the buck to the "delivery research" department who in turn send me an email saying they can't give me my money back?! The markers are sold out and I didn't receive them and they are telling me they are keeping my money? Seriously? So Nordstrom makes mistakes and then when they make a certain amount of mistakes they make the customer responsible? Lovely business practice Nordstrom and no wonder your sales are going down. I would strongly suggest to anyone reading this to buy direct from the manufacturer instead of Nordstrom and if you do order from them FILM EVERYTHING! My credit card company took care of me - thankfully someone still values customer service but I will never make a purchase at Nordstrom again. I will also be returning everything I purchased recently so I hope the $20 was worth the loss in the sale over $1000- that's just dumb business right there.
I have bought and still love to wear there fantastic out fits. They stay up to date with styles and color. The only thing they need to do is lower there prices a little and give us free shipping
Paid $20 extra for overnight shipping and still haven't received my item a week later. Called Nordstrom and they have no answer for why fedex hasn't even received my package yet.
I ordered an item that sold out. After looking up the tracking information, it says the package was damaged and is being automatically returned to the sender. That is completely pointless, leaves the customer without any chance of getting an item that might be just fine, and wastes resources. I called the customer service number and even the supervisor offered no attempt at a solution like repackaging the item to resend or asking the shipping company to just continue sending it to the customer. They said they most likely will automatically throw out the item regardless of if it is actually damaged. This is very poor customer service and makes shopping at their site a total waste of time. There is no reason they couldn't contact their returns department and make a specific request or allow a customer to look at an item received as it to determine if it should be returned or is actually damaged. I've gotten a number of damaged packaged marked received damaged by other retailers and the contents were fine. Nordstrom should not be telling their shipping company to automatically send back items customers paid for. This is a waste and not fair that we can't get the item after paying for it and waiting for it for a week. There was a sentimental reason we ordered the specific item. Shop elsewhere. The customer service agents at Nordstrom don't even care at all.
This is my very first attempt to purchase anything from Nordstroms:
I have tried for days to place an order on Nordstrom's website. I click on ADD TO BAG and nothing happens. Then I call customer service to place the order, they sent a link for my credit card information and the link did not work.
I would NEVER, EVER, attempt to purchase anything from Nordstroms. They need to fix their website and train their customer service people better.
(From feedback sent to Nordstrom...)
I placed an order with a customer service rep prior to the overnight shipping cut-off time. I was assured that my payment cleared and that I would receive my order the next day, a Friday. I learned on Friday (night) that the order was shipped that day for delivery on Monday. After two calls to Customer Service, including a long conversation with a supervisor, I was told that "unfortunately" the only thing that could be done was a refund of my $15 overnight shipping fee.
This demonstrates to me a complete disregard for the customers' experience. I had purposely ordered and paid for overnight delivery due to my specific need. What I am left with is free two day shipping which is exactly what I could have elected, had that been a workable option for me at the time I placed my order.
This is extremely disappointing, particularly in light of the fact that I had very nearly placed my order with Bloomingdale's and I only switched to Nordstrom due to the advertised sales price match and my membership in Nordstrom rewards.
Nordstrom should have given me the courtesy of notifying me on Thursday that my order was not processed in time for shipment, allowing me to cancel my order and place it elsewhere to receive it when it was needed. Failing that, my shipment should have been flagged for Saturday delivery.
To have my $15 shipping fee credited as full consideration for this mishandled transaction is insulting. There are many online retail options and l will take my business elsewhere in the future. ł
Nordstrom is great even though the prices sometimes look a bit on the steeper side the quality is usually well worth it, the clothes last a long time and are some of my favorites.
This is a place where the uneducated girls conglomerate together and like to think they're relevant just because they sell someone's million dollar items for them. TRUTH is they are STILL the same stereotypical sales associate, same dollar store item quality $#*! with some Estee lauder nail polish on top to try and look cute. The people and the store is ridiculous and they act as if they are above everyone and everything. They are rude, disfunctional and unprofessional and will only treat you nicely if you buy from them, their desperation is like that of peasants. I came in to compare products with the Michael kors store and they were mad I asked qurations and didn't buy anything. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
"Very disappointed with Nordstrom.com. I never received a pair of shoes for my Flower Girl in my wedding. I called a customer service and they send for a second and third time and we still waiting for the shoes for the past 20 days. We have accurately spoken with 3 different customer service reps in the past two weeks and they just returned my money without the taxes, so I am still paying the taxes for the shoes I never received and on top hat I spend my wedding day, looking for shoes for my daughter (my flower girl). This has been a worst experience and nightmare lesson for me. Nordstrom DOES NOT HAVE A GOOD LOGISTIC SERVICE AT ALL...
My annoyance with Nordstrom is modest in the scheme of things and pales in comparison to those who have had their own good and bad experiences there, but i wont do business with an entity that makes a commitment and then does not honor it.
A few years ago, i got a Nordstrom cc when i made some purchases. One of the benefits of the card was that i could receive Nordstrom credit for any alterations i had done there (up to $100), regardless of where i purchased the product. I had an alteration made not long after that and received the credit. Fast forward to today when i went in for an alteration. The tailor asked me if i had bought the products there, to which i answered no. Apparently the cost is greater for non-Nordstrom products, which makes sense. I then said i wanted to pay on my card to receive the credit and was told that they now required you to purchase the product at Nordstrom to receive the credit.
To me, a stand up company would grandfather their commitments and at least allow those who hadn't used the original allotment to still receive the benefit. SO now i have one less place to look for clothes for me and presents for others. No big deal for them, because as you can easily glean, i look for deals, so i am sure i am not in their primary demographics. And maybe not that bad of a deal for me, as it is one less place for me to shop.
I cannot recommend another company more. Nordstrom has the best customer service ever. It's late and you wanted that color/size but it suddenly went out of stock? Try their online chat (they're up until 1amish I think) and you'll find the sweetest, most helpful people who will search stores for what you're looking for or recommend you alternatives. I've talked to them a few times because if there's one thing that I don't like about them, it's that they tend to stock items rarely and if it goes out of stock, it will FAST and for months. They also don't have coupons, only discounts but the quality of things they carry and the customer service more than makes up. They have reliable free shipping and free returns. They have a good return policy! (It's almost "none" but I hate the abuse of stores like this because there is no Nordstrom near me and I pretty much have to order online and go by reviews).
I also have to recommend them for sometimes unique items that aren't available elsewhere (scarves, jewelry, etc).
Love It When The Free Market Works! Thank You! The public will have their voices heard! RESIST Keep voting with your wallet my friends keeping up the pressure FORTGET GOP HEARTS! (Hard To Find) HIT THEM WHERE IT HURTS THEIR WALLETS!
Love everything about Nordstroms. Love good customer service and we should EXPECT it! Nordstroms always get's it right and if they don't they MAKE it right. Girl's go ahead and spend the money (they have GREAT reductions look at the sale icon) and get it right the first time.
This place will not refund your money if a package is lost or stolen. The just take your money and dont care if you get your orders or not. Id never recommend anyone to shop here
I have bought shoes, boots and clothes. They arrive promptly and when I return something within 5 days I get a refund. It is a pleasure to shop there, you always get what you pay for.
Wanted to give Nordstroms a great big THANK YOU for getting the gift certificate out to my sister in 2 days. It was wrapped in a box with a big ribbon and she was sooooo surprized. We live 1,000 miles apart and I really appreciated the expert service and classey packaging.
I have always liked Nordstrom merchandise but could not bring myself to shop there lately due to the horror of them carrying HER stuff which means HIS stuff. There merchandise is worth the money (NOT HERS) and so KUDOS to Nordstrom.
I ordered 6 plaid sweater jackets and got a ring. I emailed them I got two responses in another language then another one on the 18th saying they will get back to me.
Answer: From what I have seen, orders come within the week and are always nicely packaged with tissue paper.
Answer: Immediately. Never had problem returns. That they are good on. But maybe, service is affected by the pandemic.
Answer: I have bought a fair number of designer handbags and sunglasses from Nordstrom. In all cases (depending on designer) the handbags were marked inside by the designer, where the item was made, usually a serial number and often a certificate of authenticity. This is especially true of the couture items i. E. Prada, Yves St. Laurent, etc. I have never questioned an items authenticity that I purchased from Nordstroms. They are way too big to risk their rep on fakes.
Answer: Maybe it depend on your shipping method if there is no unexpected happens
