I ordered a Nokia 1520 13. 3. 2015.
They charged my Visa though they said they wouldn't until product dispatched.
I later learnt it had been discontinued & contacted O'hara, they sent email saying it WAS available.
2 days later recieve email saying device was discontinued.
I've sent several emails regarding a refund with empty promises.
I've been polite & patient - refunds can be sent immediately though it may not physially hit the account straight away, it will show as pending.
I will now have to get in touch with my credit card company, see if they will take action or I will be charged.
Looking at the various reviews here & elsewhere, there seems to be a PATTERN developing where N O'hara is keeping customers funds for as long as they possible can.
Fedup of being lied to & I have kept all correspondence.
The initials for Nigel O'hara N. O. Stand for.
NO Goods.
NO Service.
NO honesty or integrity.
NO way should anyone risk buying from them.
Placed my order on the 21/1/2015 still have not received the item, sent various emails sent back standard reply suppiler probelm, rang on the 21/3/2015 still have not received from suppiler due to high demand, cannot give me a date of delivery, all i get it should be soon will not be ordering again.

I read the reviews of the retailer and thought that perhaps people were being a bit harsh. I have bought form them before and apart form the slowness they seemed ok. Despite better judgement I ordered again. My goods were supposed to arrive end of May 2015 ( a 2 week odd timeframe which I could live with) I then discover that it is now end of June 2015 - not ok
Trying to contact Nigel O hara is impossible - The email support system is not replied to, not in my case anyway and the telephone number I found said they wouldn't answer internet orders and try another number. I phoned that number and the message said you have to go back tot the online helpdesk - the one where no one replies.
Suffice to say that any perceived savings is not worth this and I can only see endless hassle to get my money back (according to thier site this takes up to 28 days!)
My advice is AVOID AVOID AVOID

I love this website, sometimes delivery takes a long time but that is only because it comes from the manufacture. And when the item arrives it's brilliant.
A few weeks ago I had purchased a Jawbone UP2, which I absolutely love!
Being a bit new-fangled with technology I was happy when I contacted customer service and they helped me out by talking me through the features.
Just an update. November 2015, bought, sorry... paid for a TV which was not in stock back in August despite my every effort to get a refund I never did. Thanks to my Credit Card who have refunded me. They are now chasing these thieves...
Advice: If you are spending over £100 USE A CREDIT CARD FOR PAYMENT YOUR PURCHASE IS THEN INSURED IF YOU DONT GET THE GOODS OR THEY ARE DAMAGED...
I ordered merchandise on 8/13 at 11:42 and received a verification of my order (order *******). My credit card was charged the same day. After not getting any shipping or tracking information after the next week, I proceeded to contact them using their email customer service link.The items were and have been in stock this whole time, and I really wanted them. I emailed them no less than a dozen times. Never did I receive a single response. Never the courtesy of any response whatsoever. I even tried calling the physical store, and although they were nice, they did not help me either. They gave me a phone number that did not every get me to a person. In my last email contact, I warned them that I would share this with every review site I could find. Still not one word.
I have had to dispute this charge through my credit card in order to get my money refunded.
Trust these reviews; this company does not care at all. They will take your money, and you'll never hear from them again. What a shame.
I ordered a tablet from this company on 3rd June. I ordered the wrong item and cancelled the order within half an hour. I received a telephone call the following day confirming my refund would be processed within a few days. By 15th June i still hadnt heard anything, so emailed again to find out why i hadnt received my refund. I was advised the Finance department would "endeavour" to process a refund. I still havent received a refund, my last 3 emails asking for clarification on when i will get the refund and why it hasnt been processed yet have been ignored. Ive now had to report this as a credit dispute to my credit card company to obtain a refund from them. Terrible service
The service was still good. But, they did not charge me for shipping to US so I had to then make an addtional payment via PayPal, This was an inconvenience and the first time this has happened to me shopping in a UK store.
Made a purchase order on the 14th of April, for a £250 tablet. Had a response saying that the item advertised was in fact out of stock, and would I like a refund? I advised that I would look for the product with a different retailer and get back to them. I found the item cheaper with another retailer, and asked them on the 17th of April to cancel the order and refund my money. I have been told "accounts will contact you". It's been now over two weeks, I've had no response? Asked for official complaint e-mail, no response. Have been in contact with four different CSRs (Gillian Bell, Aaron Brankin, Caolon Campbell, and Mark O'Dowd) and still have no resolution or even an ETA of resolution. Never again, and I will be advising everyone of my rotten experience. Shame on Nigel O'Hara.

Have made three purchases and for each one I have paid substantially less than anywhere else. Delivery was quick too, which I think was probably due to the items being in stock each time.
They took my money nearly 3 months ago and only sent half of my order. They don't respond to any correspondence. They've basically stolen my money. I can't believe this company are still trading.

I really wish I'd had a quick look around to see the many negative reviews that Nigel O'Hara has had; my experience has been the same. I placed my order on the 24th March and it never arrived. Even more annoying was that this was the main birthday present for my son, so had his birthday with nothing to open. Then getting my money back took a ridiculously long time (18 days). In all, they had my money for just under two months. I was fed a pile of contradictory tales (for example 'your order is being fulfilled directly from the supplier' in one reply and then in another message this became 'we are expecting stock in soon').
If you're tempted by the low prices, be prepared to be disappointed. I'll never be using them again.

Did you place your order with Nigel O'Hara because their price was lowest?
Did they take the money from your card within 24 hours?
Were they up front with stock availability, or did you get the 3 to 5 days delivery time?
Did you place your order before reading the online reviews?
Have you had the "later this week or early next week email"?
Are you still waiting for delivery?
Have you had subsequent fobbing off emails?
Are you now regretting placing the order?
Do you feel like a muppet for being caught out like that?
Have you got as far as cancelling the order?
Have they said it would take 5 to 7 working days for the refund to be credited to your card?
Or 28 days in extremely busy periods! Remember how it took less than 24 hours to take the money from your card in the first instance.
Have you had your repeated emails responded to with stock responses which make it abundantly clear that your email has not been read at all?
Do you feel like dragging their name through all social media available to you, plus trading standards plus every review site you can access?
Are you bitter and twisted? Yup, me too!
I have never had such a shoddy service as an online shopper and therefore, based on my experience, I will never go anywhere near www.nigelohara.com again.
After placing an order for 2 HP computers and making several enquiries about delivery I realised these people are just attracting funds with attractive offers they cannot and never had the intention to fulfil. My guess is that this is their way to finance their real trading, whatever that might be,
I have consequently open many support tickets and even emailed *******@nigelohara.com to cancel my order and request a refund.
Although they have acknowledged the request, their standard reply is obviously fishing for more time and not proceeding with the actual refund.
DO NOT PLACE ANY ORDER WITH THIS COMPANY!

DISGRACEFUL
Ordered a watch for ~£160 because it was about £5 cheaper than other sites (what a mistake to make). Took a month to be delivered, had to chase and got several holding replies about supplier etc. Then I looked at online reviews... this is a common problem! Watch arrived after about a month! Fault on day/date mechanism and so it was returned explaining this and well within their quoted 30 day online returns policy! Watch was simply sent back to me with presentation box ripped and tags removed! Red rag to a bull, so I once again returned it stating this. Again it was sent back, this time with a handwritten reference no sticker on the box and another tag missing. Court action was threatened and a deadline given, which inevitably passed! Used the Courts Service of Northern Ireland online Small Claims service which is relatively simple to use! All their deadlines passed without reply and so court ruled in my favour. After 3 weeks I sent watch back with copy of CCJ enclosed and received Paypal payment quite quickly with a comment from Nigel O'Hara Diamond Jewellers that if they didn't receive emailed acknowledgment of the payment within 24 hrs, the payment would be withdrawn! What a way to deal with a claim against you?
My advice should you have any problems is simply to get your Credit Card company involved to sort out the return of the payment or if you want to help others out, apply for a small claim against Nigel O'Hara Diamond Jewellers to try and get them to deliver some customer service and be honest... they will capitulate eventually!
Decided to buy myself a watch for my birthday- just as a little treat.

Answer: Best thing to do is contact your bank or credit card company and they will get you a refund via the charge back guarantee scheme. The online business has closed down I understand.
Answer: Sorry mate this normal for this joke of a company. They don't answer the phone due to so many people in the same situation as your self. I think I got hold of them once in 30 attempts and was told they would refund me but that never happened. Watchdog needs to investigate these mugs then we will all get refunds.
