I have been doing taxes for the last 18 years and EVERYTHING I ever wanted or needed from a tax software, MYTAXPREPOffice has it! I have been paying thousands for Intuit Pro Series for years. I thought I would NEVER change software! After the 1st demo I ate my words because I was SOLD! Thank you to the creators and your amazing customer service staff!
I bought software from Mrs. Johnson in sales really helpful and outgoing and willing to help with the right choice and ask questions so you can buy the right software for your benefits. Mr. Carter is really helpful too in the support center for questions and how to use the software and like for example, can I file State taxes independently the answer only if you file using the software my tax pre office you are able to file independently when you file your federal with my tax pre office if you file with different software you can do the state taxes but need to file by mail. If you file federal taxes with my tax pre office then you can do the state independent any day. Mrs. Carter too the time to answer all my questions in a professional way. I have a 2-year degree in accounting and I took lot of business classes in high school and in college which have help me a lot in my experience and I keep learning more by using this software and with the strong support my tax pre office offers I think it will work for anyone even if you don't have a degree you can learn how to use this software with the support this company offers and the staff is great they answer by phone or online chat and screen share which is nice and available and answer fast and responsive.

The software is a strong value at the price range charged. Compared to other vendors, several of the big ger-name tax software vendors have more bells and whistles in their software but they are significantly higher in price range.
Please stay away from this software. Their software changed returns by erasing Real Estate Taxes of 42 of my clients over a month, can imaging how many total returns it across the platform this happened too. I discovered the problem early on and made then aware. They ignored me until it was too late. Asked for a refund for the upcoming years that I (very stupidly) paid for in advance. And they are hiding behind their user agreement. Read my attachment below. Any lawyers interested in a Class Action Lawsuit?
MyTaxPrepOffice is an awesome value. Its functionality compared to its price is out of this world. I have had occasions where forms that should auto-populate within the program did not do so but had the situation corrected by customer service. Overall MyTAXPrepOffice is a great tax preparation system.
I too switched running concurrently last year. I was told that many changes would make the software much more user friendly for 2018 tax filings. Not found this to be true. I am considering returning to my previous software. Returns that should have taken a short time went into double time. Not efficient. I agree that items do not flow through. When using the interview mode, you still have to access the forms mode just to finish a basic return. I love the concept and it worked great on the demo but not certain it will be worth the savings. I am truly on the fence about this product. This has been so frustrating in many ways. Having to deal with online chat just drags out the process too.
My Tax Prep office does not keep track of your add on fees. Check them twice prior to accepting. Even though they work directly with the banks they still take a lengthy time to verify (from my experience) I can never speak with a supervisor. I have had a ticket submitted since 11/01/2023 and still not resolved no follow up call or anything. Currently requesting for a refund because I nolonger trust them.
When the sales person approached me in September 2019, he stated that the software provides client portal for data exchange, the software had the capacity to convert returns from my exiting platform, their tech support was comparable to Drake Tax and many upgrades were coming. Surprise! Today is January 7,2020 and they are still struggling with the conversions, the portal is iffy at best and no one answers the phones. Its a joke! I have requested a refund! Let's see how that goes! Its a joke!
Started in November with a rollover from drake. They had to get on my computer in Dec and tried several times but only few rolled over. As of Jan. 6 full rollover not done. They refuse to give refund saying only 14 day policy. I tried to like it but felt is very slow in bringing up a client out of the 14 it did roll over.
It was like having a bad boyfriend and they still want me to work with them that I'll like it.
Just a loss of money to me... just saying. Went back to drake this year. It never disappointed in any way but much more pricey.
The software seems good so far. A bit buggy. A lot of state business forms are still in testing even though a previous software I've used has those states available. Would give a better score if I had an idea of when I would be able to file state returns.
2018 was my first time using this service. I found the support of everyone I spoke to be very helpful. I do however have an issue with the software because I always did the review and it looked like it was alright to file but after a few weeks I received phone calls from my clients saying that their money was not taken out of their bank or that the refund was not coming... I think that the review should match the rejection. If my review shows no issues then I transmit then no rejection should be happening. I want to get excited about this software so I will give it another chance.
Good support and decent tax software last year. This year, their portal doesn't recognize my old password, so I'm unable to re-set it! They also do not answer the phone, after an hour on hold! Even the chat is extremely slow. I might need to make a change so I can help my clients!
Would like to have more backgrounds ability to change wallpapers and pages
Also i dont under stand the new version would like to have the old version back

Our software does not include background customization or wallpapers, so there may be some confusion with another program. We also don't have old files stored in our software, but we do store returns and documents in the cloud which are easy to access as shown below.

I too had a learning curve initially but I now seem to feel competent plus they have a good Chat line support that I use for technical and some tax prep advice.
