I started using this software this year. Every 2 years I normally change software because is is hard to find one that is price efficient and has great features. This software incorporates all the features I love into one company, it's super easy to apply for banking products directly through them so no separate applications and the price is very reasonable. As a Bonus, you can get someone from the support team on line in less than two minutes and they are knowledgeable about their product. I won't be looking for a new software anytime soon.
I had our second training session with T. Evans. She was very professional and knowledgeable to the software and how to navigate me through all the features. The software itself has a lot of features which will help streamline my workload and lesson it all together. Would highly recommend giving this software a fair shot.
Cons - As an accountant not being able to make payroll through this app is not the most ideal situation but heres to hoping that they will add payroll support later on down the line. HOWEVER, they do support filings of payroll returns such as 941,940, etc...
The software miss calculate on a very simple State return. And when you try to correct it manually by overriding their error, you end up with error and reject messages by the software. There are lots of features that are nice and the fact I can work on my clients return from anywhere is a plus. I am at the point where I use other two or three online software to check my work before e-filing anything. A software should be dependable and suppose to help speed up the productivity.
Why not post a list of common rejects/errors with their solutions, and we do not have to wait three, four days for support to respond. I haven't tired other states yet, but mytaxprepoffice has lots of problem with CA State.
I hope they take these concerns serious and come up with fixes, otherwise I have to look for another software next year. We will see how it goes.
This award should go to Ray Tarr. He was helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. He showed me the software tips and tricks. He reminded me of tips and tricks I forgot about. He SOLVED my Protection Plus disclosure issue! The call was a long one. But he was persistent and determined to help me with my issues and questions. HE restored my FAITH in this program. You are fortunate to have him on your team!
This is my first year with you. It was a lot of work on my part to get everything set up from my old software. Thus far this tax season, it has been great! Suggestions for improvement is being able to print both filing and client copy at one time.
I have been using mytaxprep for a while as I do volunteer tax services as well. I referred other small tax owners to mytaxprep and was thanked a lot for letting them know about this software. I had some issues in the first couple years with calculations and some forms not auto populating. Yet it has improved year by year. With any software I think it's important to check your work. Response time via chat is decent during the tax season with knowledgeable agents. Thank you!
I've been with them about 5 years after leaving drake. I love being able to do returns from anywhere and being able to provide my agents flexibility. Also the staff is very friendly and they they to help as much as possible. In fact I had a renewal issue and Temeka one of their agents not only fixed the problem but saved me $500. My Tax Prep Office definitely has my business.
I'm a tax preparer with about 100 Clients and I've been using MyTAXPrepOffice for the past 5 years. It's easy to use and the support is great. They also have tutoring videos you can look at if somehow you get stuck while preparing a return. Price is a great value compared to other tax software. I recommend this product wholeheartedly

So I called to renew my subscription and was fortunate get this wonderful young lady to help me within 5 minutes I had downloaded the forms from IRS.gov and sent them to Araseli and now I can go into the program and get set up for 2019. They answered quickly she is very knowledgeable speaks exceptionally clearly and is super competent. Count me in! I know they have had a few problems all software experiences similar. I am confident they will work out the issues A S A P. If the tech support is as good as Araseli I know it will get done.
From my original sales call to my 1-to1 training, the representatives were very friendly and answered all questions and concerns in a professional manner. I am excited to make this change!

I have been a client since the start of this company and although the first couple of years was tough, they always worked hard to solve problems and the staff is so very helpful. Over the last 4 years, they have added features that make my job as a tax preparation specialist easier and easier. You must take the training and work on sample returns because every software program is different.
I have found horrible customer service with this platform. At one time I waited 2 weeks to get an answer for a support question. When doing to chat you could be chatting for a half an hour before they finally get back to you... they are "trying" to service too many people at once. For the last two years I have had to correct them when doing mass and CT states together as they were doing them incorrectly. No thanks, No discount... no nothing. They need to train customers better on their software. They give you a very small virtual class that is pretty much useless. I have used them for 5 years or so, I was ok with rechecking my stuff to make sure they did it right for the price but in one year they went up $100. I hope for you they give more support and have all of their forms properly updated. Many Blessings and Much Love to you
If you are doing 300 returns or less then this software is worth the challenges. I have been using this software since 2015 and yes there were issues but those issue forced me to be a better tax preparer. I do returns alone and need to keep my overhead as low as possible and this software has allowed me to achieve this and provide excellent pricing to my clients. For these reasons I give this software 5 stars, low purchase price and it gets the job done. The rest depends on me!
I have been using this software for my business and personal tax return clients for the last few years. It is much more affordable than the other programs. They provide all the services I need and more. I love that you can lock in your price year to year so you don't have to worry about a large increase like the other programs I have tried. You have the option of doing the returns through the interview process or forms mode which is helpful especially with new client returns.

I have been with MyTaxPrepOffice for about 3 years and have to say this has been great and smooth 3 years with the software as well as support provided. It has fantastic navigation tools and easy to use data entry options. The price is very affordable. For the tech support its just one click away to chat with the support team and within second they take your question or concern very quickly. They have also been upgrading or enhancing the software to more easier and user friendly. The only thing that I hope they will add in the near future is form FAE--170 for my corporation clients.

I too had a learning curve initially but I now seem to feel competent plus they have a good Chat line support that I use for technical and some tax prep advice.
