Had a driver tonight decide to cuss me out and accuse me of faking a disability because I asked him to bring my food to the top of the stairs so I wouldn't have to put on my leg brace and hobble my way down. Trust me, dude, if I didn't have this issue, I'd be walking to pick up my food myself instead of paying a premium to get it from jerks like you. Enjoy your $10 tip I guess...
For real - you're hungry after busting your rear for 8 hours and you don't want to cook. You think, yeah why not, I deserve this. So you get yourself all excited, pick out that tempting food you haven't had in absolute ages, and then you wait.
And if you're like me, you keep waiting.
And waiting.
And if you're still hopeful your food will come, please allow me to be the bearer of bad news. It won't.
I've tried Grubhub a few different times, with the results being more often than not the food being obscenely late, or not being delivered at all. One driver picked up the food, then drove off to eat it. Another took the delivery but never actually picked it up. One driver was two hours late and when we contacted them, they said they were having car troubles but not to worry - they had the food and it would still be delivered!
Honestly, between this and their abhorrent business practices, you're better off ordering directly from the restaurant and picking it up yourself. Do not download the app. Do not wait three hours for cold food.
They stole my order again! The driver wouldn't answer his phone. I blew his phone up for 30 minutes continuously until he answered. Food was over an hour late when he answered. He had such a strong Indian accent it was almost impossible to understand. Kept lying saying he delivered it but I have security cameras that say otherwise. Took forever to get another Indian from customer service to finally refund the order. They screw the merchants with their fees and rip off their customers too. NEVER USING THESE CLOWNS AGAIN! UP YOURS GRUBHUB! I'll just pick it up myself now so at least my money goes to a local business owner instead of Mumbai.
You should use ANY OTHER food delivery service but whatever you do, DO NOT USE GRUBHUB. They have absolutely HORRIBLE customer service and their delivery time is appalling. Use them at your own risk and I GUARANTEE you that you will be supremely dissatisfied. I would have given them a ZERO; however, the lowest rating this site allows is a 1.
First time I used GrubHub - never again. Ordered from a restaurant in Williamsburg, VA, GrubHub charged my card immediately. Then a few minutes later, cancelled the order - but I won't get a refund for five days. Turns out the GrubHub site LIED - the restaurant does not deliver through GrubHub. What a rip off.
This is, by far, the WORST app you could use as a restaurant. It completely disregards whatever time you leave for the driver to arrive. They make no attempt at helping fix this. I'm going to unsubscribe but I just want to save everyone else the trouble. Pick literally any other service
I placed an order they messed it up & only refunded $6 and wouldn't deliver the missing items. I relied on this meal since my car is being worked on for my children so my 3 children had to share one meal. This is not our first issue with Grubhub and it will be the last as we have all deleted the Grubhub apps from our phones and I will also let others know how much they are wasting their time and money by ordering from there. They do not care about their customers. The agents are helpful but obviously can only do so much. The people higher up should be ashamed of themselves considering how much money they have. I will never use Grubhub again, the food is always cold and all over the place.
Time and time again we order and SOMETHING is always wrong or missing. We call the restaurant and they tell us that is how Grub hub ordered it. Today our order missed a $15.50 burger. Called restaurant and they stated that Grub hub never ordered that item. We paid $78! Restaurant stated the bill was $41! Over $30 difference. Reached out to grub hub and they only refunded the cost of the burger. Said the rest was taxes, fee, and tip... the driver got an additional $3 tip, grub hub kept the tax difference, and did they charge a 2nd fee? Never ever ever again. Last time we ordered, i had it sent to my work... they delivered it to my home. When i looked at the receipt it clearly had my work address on it.
New to Grubhub as I received it as a gift. I pulled up a list of local restaurants, started to order and it said the restaurant was closed. I called them, they were open and they said they don't use Grubhub. So why are they listed. I found more just like this. Seems like false advertising to me.
Worse appt company ever every time I order half of my order is missing Than all they do is oh we will process a refund that will last more than 10 days which by the way they owe me 450 dollars I'm sure I'm not the only one will never use this service anymore I just want my money back

Overall Grubhub rating taken from 3k plus people is near 1.5 stars, grubhub drivers gripe about work experiences and tip shortages, and customers are happy 50% of the time. Well pandemic ensues and in the rear slides Grubhub with its hidden (not broken out like other costs) fees for operations cost? COME ON MAN! Your operations fee is more expensive than sales tax + 10% tip.
I bet if we start leaving 0% tip to compensate for our loss we'd (a) have spit in our food (b) force drivers to find new employment and Grubhub loose its workforce of hard working people. The rich always get richer as they say.
I'm on crutches. I don't have groceries and don't wanna hobble out of my house to find sustenance. GrubHub will deliver food, right? Wrong.
I placed my order at 5:15ish. The website said it wouldn't deliver until 6-6:10. Okay, that's kind of a long wait (the pizza place was 8 minutes from my house) but just fine, I can wait an hour. I was getting very hungry by the scheduled delivery time, kept watching the clock tick away until it was past 6:30. I chatted with a GrubHub rep to see what's up. He apologized and said he secured a driver for my food, gave me $10 off my next delivery and said food was on its way. Great! Except a minute later I get a text and email saying grubhub cancelled my order and "already refunded" me. As if that makes it fine and dandy when I've been waiting for my food OVER AN HOUR when I could have easily gone to pick it up myself in a matter of minutes! I called a grubhub rep this time and she told me there's nothing they can do because no driver was available (even though the other rep told me a driver was coming). So I said, "What you're telling me is, whenever I place an order through you, there's no guarantee I will get my food at all?" She apologized and said it won't happen again but I politely told her this makes me very unlikely to order from them again, unless maybe they can offer free delivery on the next one or something. She said that's not an option and suggested I reorder and maybe another driver would be available (but heck no, I'm not gonna wait for another two hours to go through the same thing again!). So I called the pizza place I ordered from directly to see if they made my pizza and if it was waiting for me—it was. That means GrubHub would have just wasted that pizza! So I hobbled on my crutches into my car and drove to go get it, an hour and a half after initially placing the order and waiting around for it AND after way too much hassle than it was worth.
IF GRUBHUB CAN'T EVEN GUARANTEE DELIVERY, WHAT'S THE POINT?
Even on crutches I'm not about to sit around for hours on end waiting for food that might not show up! Do yourself a favor and save yourself the headache and hunger pains: take your business elsewhere.
Every order we place we have a minimum wait time of an hour versus 30-35 minutes or quicker on DoorDash we just had an order placed and waited an hour an 15 min for them to say your food has been delivered. But guess what no food and no grub hub driver we watched her gps and she was going the opposite direction for a good 35 minutes needless to say I will never place another order with them there're slow unprofessional and just plain bad time and time again do yourself a favor and stick with DoorDash
I can not stress to anyone who uses this company DONT ever think of it. I have had numerous times where i order delivery and it is set for pick-up NEVER AGAIN will i order from this company. I got almost no remorse or acknowledge of their mess-up. I hope no one goes through what i did. I recommend Doordash for anyone trying to get food. They are amazing, friendly and helpful, again DONT order through grubhub they are the bottom feeders of a company.

Grubhub doesn't post a phone number. I found one on search and they've got me on a hold over ten minutes. I'm going to have to drive to the restaurant myself.
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. Try "restaurant connection" instead, ir any of their other competitors. They take your money and leave you stranded.
First time user - horrible experience, took 90 min to get order, restaurant was 5 miles away from my house I get that things happen but if you don't have a driver then don't accept the order, food was super cold and then they forgot my drink- would give zero stars if I could, I should have just drove there myself- that's what I get for being lazy
Grubhub is as bad as the U.S. postal service, they called three times trying to find my business address and I waited for 2 hours and on the computer it said they have delivered my food, but it never showed up
Driver delivered my food; however, the drinks were missing. Driver said, drinks didn't come with the order. All drivers have the order on their phone, so that was a blatant lie! I had to waste time to chat with a Grubhub rep and a credit was issued. Not the point! I would have like to receive my drinks with my food order. Ugh!
What is so hard to be a go between and fetch a food order from point A to point B? Well you'll need to ask the dumbbells at grubhub. The last (and I mean "the last" 3 of 4 orders were either cancelled or incomplete. They do of course bill for the complete order, they never forget that! We've not yet tried door dash but have to try. Can no long rely on "DUH-HUB"
