Ordered food from restaurant for approx $150. Grub hub added $50 for tip, service fee and $8.88 tax for a total of $200. Tried several times to reduce tip to $10 from $26, but due to tech issue paid, the changes did not go through. Though the money went to Grubhub, they kept insisting to ask restaurant for refund.
Crazy up change on all food items, I'm talking $3-$5+ on each food item, plus a service charge and a tip. Biggest screw job in food delivery. Added $35 to our $70 sushi order. This company is a scam.
They take way too long, they advertise establishments that are CLOSED as of they were open and let you place orders, their drivers are largely rude and unprofessional and the last time I ordered through grubhub they brought ENTIRELY THE WRONG ORDER and their driver refused to correct it. He literally texted back "well what do you want me to do about it?" Uh... how about COME BACK AND GIVE ME MY CORRECT FOOD

Ugh! GRUB HUB CANCELS - this time after driver, Miguel, was already showing at the store to pick up my order! (I also pre-ordered last night.) This is it- I have cancelled my subscription and they are refunding the last month. I realize we got spoiled by the convenience but the lack of service is not worth the stress when you are counting on it! It still costs each of us more money and in this case also a loss to the restaurant! Anyone agree? Had better experiences with other platforms?

Collect more food despite close location and nice tips. GrubHub refused reimbursement for cold delivery 40 min late
I placed a takeout order with a local restaurant via Grubhub. I got a confirmation e-mail, but when I got to the restuarant it was closed. I called Grubhub, and they said the restaurant had confirmed the order. I was able to e-mail the restaurant owner, and he said they were closed that day, and nobody was there to confirm the order. I believe Grubhub lied and confirmed the order without checking with the restaurant. There was a credit card charge, and again I called Grubhub, and was told I would get a refund within five working days. After that time I filed a dispute with my bank. 19 days I finally got a notice from the bank that the refund had been made. I will never do business with them again.
If I could give a zero I would. 23 days from when they SHIPPED the card and hung up on me four times without a call back. They also said they couldn't find the shipping number they gave me. Finally, when I did get a hold of someone they told me to wait 15 days from shipping. It was day 22 at the time. Terrible terrible company and customer service. I will never use again or recommend to anyone.
Hey yeah do not use this company. The very fact that I still do not have an in game code DESPITE participating in their god awful promotion for Final Fantasy 14 is repentant. Scummy, back-stabby company.
Awful, food was cold and I paid over 60.00,I'm a single mom and on a tight income so I had extra money from tips at work and wanted to treat my kids to something. I don't drive so this was perfect, that was until the food got here and then customer service was a joke. They have a guarante policy and they DO NOT HONOR THAT POLICY.
Save your money and find a different source.
On my very first order, the drivers are low of intelligence, couldn't find their butt with both hands. Cost 50.44 including a nice tip, for trusting I got a refund, they sent the charge back to the crooks!
I talked to the restaurant when the driver was there. My order was ON THE WAY WITH THE DRIVER, and Grubhub cancelled my order! They said it changed. I told them everything was already worked out and the driver was on the way, but these idiots cannot even communicate with their own drivers! I literally felt like I was dealing with elementary students! It is a cake for my step-son's birthday and now it is lost somewhere. NEVER, ever again will I use this app! I am deleting it NOW! I hope Ana's Confections cancels their use of their service as well.
Do they hire crackheads? I rarely get my order on time, if I get my order at all. When I track my order, I oftentimes see the car of the delivery driver just sitting idle for several, several minutes on the tracking map. Most of the time, my food is delivered cold. I won't be using them anymore.
I placed an order with Grubhub to go to potbellies on northwest highway in Park Ridge. There were four items total in the order. Of four items I only received three. I proceeded to call GrubHub. And yes, they can assure me a refund, but not a replacement; so here I sit without lunch (and I had already tipped the driver!) So I called potbellies on Northwest Highway in Park Ridge and there's nothing they can do and their answer to me was, We were crowded and people make mistakes." Well then fire those that don't do their jobs and find someone else that knows how to bag four out of four items (especially when I tip your driver!) I'm sorry, but there's too many excuses for people these days and it's not OK because I ended up without a lunch and still a tip to the driver. My personal tip to you is don't use GrubHub and don't order from potbellies in Parkridge Illinois!
I deleted my Grubhub account because the past 3 orders were over 2 hours late, and one of them never even arrived. I waited about 2.5 hours for my food that I ordered around 1pm (before I had to attend a 3pm meeting) for it not to arrive at all. The driver called me at around 2pm and said he was on his way and will be there in 20 minutes. Not even 5 minutes later, he marked my order as delivered. I called the driver back twice, and he never answered. He probably ate my food and I hope the company did something about it. $#*! those workers at Grubhub and other delivery services who literally steal customers' food and then lie about it getting delivered. I ended up starving and getting a pulsing headache during my meeting and then ate lunch at almost 5pm that day. So is Grubhub worth it? After the prior experiences waiting 2 hours for my food, this was the last straw. No, it's not worth it. I'm glad I got a full refund, and I'm especially glad that I will never use Grubhub again.
Watch who you hire, Grubhub drivers are horrible! I requested for my doorbell to be rung and a text once my order arrives. The driver sent a text that my food was dropped off, however my cameras never showed anyone approaching my house, I called my driver and text, no response, I then got in touch with Grubhub who said they would refund all my money within 3-5 business days and offered $10 off my next order, that will not be needed this will be my last time using Grubhub thanks to their horrible driver.
I bought my grandson a 100 gift card for his 15th birthday. He went to apply it to his account grub hub locked his account and the same thing happened at Christmas. When you call them they are not helpful and care less that they stole your money. They are a terrible service and everyone needs to stop using them
We switched to door dash and their service is wonderful

I placed my orders hours in advance. Both orders arrived on time but cold. Not even luke warm. The prices are ridiculous too. Way, way way overpriced considering the quality. You'll have a much better experience and be served better portions dining in.
Gave a $6 tip requested that it was delivered to me since I have spinal stenosis and balance issues so bending over is painful as well as scary. Driver dropped my food so hard I heard it inside my house. I will never use this service again. Paid 20 for my food and 13 for the poor service.

Yelp linked me to Grubhub to order food online at a local restaurant for pickup. I tried 3X to place my order and each time I got the message "Oooops! Something went wrong. Please try again." After 3 tries I gave up and called the restaurant to place my order. After I had picked up my food an paid the restaurant I got an email from Grubhub saying my order had gone through and was charged a second time. I called them and explained the situation and they said they couldn't give me a credit back on my card. I asked them to call the restaurant and work it out with them but they claimed they couldn't get through to them. I called the same number and got right through to the restaurant and fortunately they agreed to credit my card for the amount I paid them directly. I will NEVER knowingly use Grubhub again. Terrible experience and they may NO effort to resolve the problem.
