Never received my order, after texting the driver 3 times and attempting to call driver. To no avail. Now GrubHub refuses to refund my money, all they are offering is a half off coupon for my next order!

Ordered my food about 10 pm tonight and it's now almost midnight and the time keeps getting pushed iut to a longer delivery time every time I check. Now it's not coming until almost midnight and Taco Bell's closed so I'm doubting my foods even coming at this point
I started my order by setting a delivery time 4 hours after placing the order. I completed the order and it clearly indicated that delivery would happen ASAP. That's not what I wanted, so I first called/texted the driver who did not respond, so I called the restaurant and they said the order had yet to be placed. I then tried to cancel the order, but Grubhub would not let me, because "the order was already placed", which was not true.
I contacted customer care via chat. There response was basically, "too bad for you." So, we got our food... 4 hours early. No help at all from Grubhub. Last time I'll use them.
Scam, nothing but scammers and thieves
Driver took off with my food, Grub hub refused to refund since they made an "attempt" to deliver it. I was home waiting for it. No one came to my door, no knock, doorbell didnt ring. This is the 2nd time this has happened and Grub hub did refund me the first time but this time they pretty much said I was SOL. And offered a coupon for my next order, which is never. My 60$ and my group's lunchtime wasted
I've used grubhub twice. Both times there were major problems. The first time the driver failed to check my order and one entree was missing. Unless he ate it. Grubhub refused to send him back, would not waive fees or delivery. Second time, I placed an order that showed up on hour late. I phoned the restaurant and found that grubhub had not assigned a driver. I called grubhub and was asked if I wanted to cancel my order. Sheesh... I was hangry at that point. Grubhub assigned a driver and my food arrived one hour later. For the outrageous fees, my food should have arrived early, hot and delicious. My food was late, the food was warm but sucked... ugh
Don't use them is my best advise. The restaurant left out a dinner. I called the driver Timmothy and he said he was going back to get my dinner. He never picked it up or called me back. 3 hours later my son picked it up. I want my account credited for the dinner, but I get no answer or apology in the corresponding that I did with grub hub
I ordered 14.50 worth of food tipped 5.00. = 19.50... I was charged 32.50... wtf grubhub? I had to fight for a refund... still dont know if I will get it... stay away
There isn't a way to get additional help within moments of order placing. No one can figure it out, or go above and beyond to do what's right!
Always is the same after hours of waiting for my food they send me a couple text saying my order will be delayed and then cancel
After reading some complaints I'd like to clarify some issues for some who may not understand. If you don't tip or leave a low tip, your order will bounce around from driver to driver until someone finally accepts it. By this time it's already late and sitting at the restaurant getting cold. The driver who brought it to you is in no way to blame for this. If your order is wrong, too oily, too salty ect, that is the restaurant and not the driver's issue. The driver is handed a sealed bag a majority of the time. They won't open it and then go open all of your containers to inspect your food. That's silly. Total shocker here but guess what, sometimes GPS is wrong. Keep in mind that the drivers aren't employees and likely don't earn an hourly wage. They rely on tips and are paying for their own gas plus wearing down their car. As the website states, and this goes with any delivery service, tip at least $5. If the food is a decent drive away, tip more. If you live in an apartment or upstairs, tip a little more. If you want to be prioritized then give a nice tip. They're not charity workers.
My bf and I tried to use grubhub for the first time last night. The driver Jerry was rude from the start. He was on the wrong road, he was on Rd and not Dr. My bf gave him exact directions to get here. My bf was waiting with the door open, Jerry calls back and said he still can't find us and once again my bf told him directions, he was literally 3 min away. Jerry hung up on him both times. My bf checks the computer while waiting and noticed it said delivered. My bf calls Jerry, said he noticed it said delivered but we hadn't got our food. Jerry said he went to an apartment and gave it to someone claiming it was theirs. So not only did Jerry not use his GPS to find us or listen to my bf give him exact directions, he wasn't even on the right road and just gave our food to the wrong people. I immediately called customer service and the first girl tried saying we wouldn't get a refund. I then demanded a supervisor. He gets on the phone, tried defending the driver at first and I said, excuse me?! He's a lousy driver and wasn't even on the right road and made sure it was in fact the right person! They should ask for proof first. We got our refund after arguing and an hour later had to drive to get food and we're starving at this point. Will never use this service again.
I have several different delivery apps on my phone and Grubhub is without question the worst. They are pretty unreliable, I've had to issue multiple complaints with them before. Drivers don't confirm that they have the whole order, drivers arrive late with cold food, etc. On my last experience, the driver arrived 45 minutes after the order had been marked as picked up. The restaurant is 10 minutes away. They first offered me a 20% discount on my next order, I told them that was unacceptable and that I wasn't going to eat cold stale pizza and cold soggy chicken wings. They then offered a full refund. I got an email that my bill was adjusted, but they only refunded 20% of the order. The email I received said that I could reply to it. I replied and told them that I wasn't given the full refund I was promised, I did not get a response so I replied again. Nothing. Then today I opened up a chat with a representative and demanded the full refund immediately and I finally got it. So yes, they fulfilled my refund, but I'm tired of having issues with them. I've had too many bad experiences and I won't be using them again.
I ordered through Grubhub for the first time ever. I was then told that my order would be available in 45 minutes. After 45 minutes I received a call from the delivery driver and was told that the Grubhub card they use to pick up the order wasn't working. I called the help line and they said it would be fixed in 20 minutes. An hour later I get a call from the delivery driver stating the card still will not work. Grubhub did nothing to fix this mess and just cancelled the order, leaving the restaurant with food unpaid and me without my order. This is my first and definitely last time ever using this company.
I placed an order at 8 pm and Grubhub charged my account immediately but more than one hour later they sent me an email saying my order was cancelled and they'll refund my money in 3-5 days! My guests were hungry and I was given no explanation why my order was cancelled while they took my money. This is fraud as far as I'm concerned.
Starving now, thanks for ruining our night... never received food. Now must file dispute. You prob lost a restaurant participating because I am complaining to restaurant owner
Ordered through grubhub, the delivery window jumped to an added 30 about 10 minutes after the initial delivery window. Prior to that my call to the restaurant was answered by a message that their voicemail was not set up. My order was an exact copy of one of the prior week but this time, ice cold (January 17,2010). I hoped I would still enjoy it. However, one dish had an added tablespoon of salt which burned my mouth aside from unpleasant taste. The second item was swimming in pooled oil. I contacted grubhub the only way they allow (no chat, no calls) and explained the above via a dialog box, asking for a refund to my credit card. Zero response, zero credit to my card. Minus 10 stars is my rating.
First and last time on GrubHub. Late order, bad service from driver. I was outside in the freezing cold and she put my order as "delivered" 10min before she actually found me, after I had to call her.
Was told driver attempted to call about delivery, when we were clearly waiting outside for the food at the so called "verified" time of call to make the delivery. Have a good relationship with restaurant that we ordered from being a regular there, called restaurant to verify that the food was never ordered. No refund. Grubhub's policy for no delivery is for 50% off the next order...? Why would I order again from a shady site that doesn't take care of their customers and refused to provide any kind of solid evidence and calls me and the restaurant a liar?
I have tried GrubHub twice. They failed miserably both times. Will never use them again. First the driver gets lost. How do you get lost with GPS maps these days. Then 2 out of the 3 items were missing. I filed for a refund for those 2. But I needed to eat, so I called to see if they would wave the delivery fee and tip. Absolutely NOT. My problem. So I had to order again and pay for delivery and tip again. To add insult to injury, the delivery was 1hr late. Dinner at 9:30pm at night.
I spent a lot of money, their fees are crazy high and the drivers tips are no less than 20% and all of thus will be OK if my food at least arrived on time and not all over the plastic bags because the containers were all smashed they actually looked like the bags were dropped somewhere because nothing looked good on those containers; I will not be using Grubhub ever again!

Hope you were able to cancel it, but wonder if it showed up in the mean time. For this reason I no longer use a card but pay cash when I get the food. Hope you've managed to eat something by now.
