After using Grub Hub for 9 months, I discovered that they only sign up restaurants that already have employee drivers. I received no help whatsoever when Grub Hub accidentally sent my order as a cash sale, not credit, and I had to ask the actual restaurant for help. Not only do they offer no customer service despite having an offshore customer service rep, they have charged restaurants improperly - class action suit is in progress. To refurbish their image, they now are airing ads asking for customers to donate their change to their charity for food for the hungry kids. How noble - taking customers' monies, not their own. I would never use Seamless or Grub Hub. Calling the customer service number is a waste of time, because, I've found, they don't help. I needed to ask the restaurant or handle it myself. GH, and sister co. Seamless, are companies to be avoided

We are not even a partnered restaurant and they listed our menu on their website. I have tried calling their customer service team over 6 times and each time they have redirected me to a department that says it should be opened according to the times it keeps saying, but keeps saying its closed. I am beyond frustrated. I should not be having to deal with this, especially because I never wanted to be associated with this business in the first place. Called Postmates to have our menu removed from their website also and it literally took 5 minutes. Your poor customer service is the reason I will never consider putting our menu on your site in the future.

Avoid Grubhub
January 13, 2020

We placed an order for wings from Hooters at 6:17 pm was given an expected delivery time of 6:50 - 7:00 pm. The business is 2.4 miles from my home. Received a text update from Grubhub at 6:57 pm saying there was a delay and the order would arrive between 7:35 - 7:45 pm. Finally a 7:25 I receive an email from them saying that they are sorry but my order has been canceled, and I should expect to see my refund in 5 - 7 days? WTF! So I call Hooters and ask them what is going on and they informed me that they never received an order from Grubhub. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

THE WORST! Since I moved to El Paso, I've had nothing but issues. And the "customer service" is absolutely no assistance and no value. The most recent issue was to ask for my full order to be delivered and they told me the driver had "other deliveries". I told them that since my order was missing the primary and key deliver that they should assign another deliver. The only thing the did was refund the food that wasn't deliver. That was not acceptable. This is not the first issue I've faced and it's frustrating to have had to deal with this type of thing.

Horrible business

My children and I not only waited for two hours after making the order and never got the food, I also won't get my refund for 5 days and had to take my children out late and spend more money on top of it. Nothing was done for the two hours wasted or the fact that I couldn't even get my money back for another 5 days. The driver never got back to me and costumer service also takes forever to get back. You don't want to use this company. Use anyone else but these people will screw you over.

Worst food delivery service out there. They also treat their driver's like doo doo. One driver told me she only got paid $2.50 to deliver my food and that that's why it was cold. I don't blame the drivers if what she said is true. This company is unethical and should be boycotted

Ordered and food wasn't delivered. They said drive call no answer. Total lies... I called and texted driver to see where my food was at with no response. Grubhub would not refund money. Will never order from them again.

Buyer Beware!

I have used GrubHub for a couple of years... at least twice a month. In fact, it was my delivery preference and I would not select restaurants that used DoorDash as their delivery source. Until tonight. I placed an order at approximately
5:20 PM and the delivery time was said to be 45 to 55 minutes. At 6:30, I checked the status of my order and learned that the new ETA was between 6:24 and 6:33. A couple of minutes later I checked again and learned that it had been delivered by Douglas at 6:24. I called the restaurant, LaScala in Santa Monica, and was told that once the food leaves the restaurant they are not responsible. After raising my voice and asking for a supervisor, I was called back by someone who said she would contact GrubHub and call me back. Of course, she didn't. I called my nextdoor
Neighbor to confirm that the order had not been mis-delivered... it hadn't. So, I texted the "Help" line. Oscar couldn't have been nicer... but, unfortunately, they are not responsible for a delivery that does not arrive to the person who placed the order. Out of the goodness of his heart, he offered me a 50% discount on my next order. No thanks!

Worst service ever

I have tried to use grubhub three times. I started back in 2017, when they were first ramping up in my area. I ordered twice, and after several hours of waiting, was contacted to say that #1 the restaurant didn't deliver to my area and #2 my driver picked up my order, but couldn't be contacted. Both times my money was eventually refunded, but the second time I had to go through my credit card company to block the charge. I guess grubhub thought I received my delivery and just didn't want to pay. I just attempted again this evening to order through them. My delivery was out for delivery, and once again, my order status was delivered. I was at my front door waiting for delivery for 10 minutes. No joy. I contacted grubhub through a chat (the only way they will talk to you), and after about 45 minutes of waiting, was told that my order was canceled, and was there anything else they could do for me. This is what grubhub considers customer service? The cherry on top of this, an e-mail letting me know it will be about five days before the charge comes off my card. Do not order from grubhub unless you want to wait endless hours to see if they can get their act together and do their job.

Long story short I typically carry cash on me as I'm a server and I tip delivery drivers cash. I went out to pick up my order from my driveway and I didn't have any cash. So I informed my driver I would just update my tip through the app as every delivery service has the ability. I tried to update my tip so my driver gets paid and GrubHub told me that they can't do that and if I wanted to tip my driver I should have done it when I place the order. I'm not going to tip a driver before they do their job. What are they do a crappy job? No my driver does not get tips for and extremely well done job. My biggest issue is the absolute disrespectful and unprofessional person I spoke to online. His name was Alex. I will never be using your services again.

The Boss

Grub Hub didn't deliver. Lied about delivery actually and then some..., they have been getting worse then today came. Been a long time frequent customer... no food... 5 day refund and no apology till stated so... no appreciation... not a complainer but they pissed me off today... and will no longer... adios GrubHub...

Horrible, do not use

I used grubhub a couple of times and my ordered was switched to pickup. Thinking i had made a mistake, I double checked my last order. And yes after ordering, the website switched my order to pickup. I called and used the help text help, but grubhub said there is nothing they can do.
Why would anyone use a food delivery service that doesnt deliver.
Stay away from this service

I ordered food from a medical office for lunch. I gave the address PLUS the suite number. I am a nurse that is not always available on my personal phone b/c IM HELPING PEOPLE! Driver called because HE couldnt find his way. Finally contacted me (within time given) he blasted me that he couldnt find me and that I was wasting his time and that he waited for me to answer my phone... yelling and escalating in anger without me even saying anything, I continue to yell in the hallway using profanity. I called to file a complain and they said, "we will take care of it". I asked to have a follow up call and they said, "we dont do that". This person is dangerous and should not be working customer service! I will never use Grub Hub again!

I ordered food never got the food I called like 10 times before I got ahold of someone and when I did they told me there was nothing they can do for me and offered to give me ten percent off I would recommend you use other options they charge to much anyway

Customer Service Lies
December 31, 2019

I ordered specifically from a 45 min or less restaurant offered on GrubHub. The order was placed at 12:09 estimated delivery 12:45 to 12:55 ok doable. Then it changes to 1:05 now we are almost an hour. I call to check the check with the driver another 15-20 min for delivery. I asked why the restaurant forgot the drink they made the order again. I am chatting w/"customer service" and advise this is unacceptable and need to reverse the charges. They can't do that they offer 15% off my next order (mind you this happened to me 2 weeks ago took almost an hour for delivery when it was promised in 35 mins). 15% is like $1.50 which does not even cover the delivery cost. I did not accept the discount they then took $10.00 off my order ok I can live w/that but they said still 15-20 mins away I asked why they said they are assigning a driver? I said you just spoke to the driver they were like well we don't have a driver it is now well over an hour and they are telling me they don't have a driver. I asked when my food would arrive they don't know so they offer to refund me I say ok but I still need the food. I am now having to "chat" with them for 15-20 mins and still don't have my food. I then get an email that the order was canceled I asked why they said since it had been so long since the order and no delivery their system cancels the order. I'm like what? No food lots of aggravation and lying will never use Grubhub!

Zero stars if I could

App said food was delivered. It was not. No knock, no call, no email or text. Called customer service and waited 45 min to talk to someone. The chat got me nowhere. They said the driver tried to contact me. They did not. I had to talk to three people to get a refund. They wanted me to accept a 50% off my next purchase. What a joke. I ordered and received my food from Doordash before I even got customer service on the line.

Don't waste your time, use better delivery apps. Also, if you want a refund, just keep asking for the supervisor.

Ps not working for doordash, just really hate grubhub.

Every time i try to order from Gub Hub they can't actually deliver the food. Tell me they can, I order food, wait over 2 hours to finally wait on hold nearly another hour; they cancel the order(when did I ever say do that?)and finally fight to get my money back. Never using them again.

Waited delivery for 90 minutes, 30 minutes extra than the limit they informed on the app. Called the restaurant, they said the food was already there and they didn't know when it would be delivered. They told me to call GrubHub if I wanted to cancel... I called and was told I could not post a review to the restaurant... meaning they are protecting bad service from restaurants, meaning you cannot trust any review on their website.

First time ordering from grub hub, obviously going for delivery. After I had paid, it said that I was supposed to PICK UP. This was something that was not an option at this time. I called Grub Hub immediately, and was ultimately told the food preparation had already started so they couldn't cancel the order/give me a refund, only 20% off my next order. I called the restaurant to let them know I would not be picking up the food.
This was not going to work for me. I then proceeded to contact them on the chat on the app, and was told the same thing. "We apologize, we understand, there's nothing we can do"... And then they kept closing my chat down.
The final chat conversation ( I was NOT giving up!) The person seemed to be more understanding, but toward the end i was told the same thing. I then told them I had screen shot all those conversations and was going to post them on social media so everyone could see how awful the customer service was. I then left the chat and low and behold... 2 minutes later got a text notification that I was issued a full refund. Hallelujah!
Moral of the story, threaten them with social media shaming and you just might get your money back

Never ever ever order from them. The drivers will never deliver your food, marked it as delivered and you get no refund. So basically the driver eats your food for free while grubhub just says "I understand your frustration". I'm never ever ordering from them again and also posting about this on my social media.
