Today, as they often do, grubhub sent me an email offering 20 percent off. I followed the link and saw a favorite Chinese restaurant participated. Allegedly, the 20 percent discount would be applied during checkout -- they gave me no code to use. I filled the cart and started to place the order, but you guessed it, no 20 percent off. After some chat negotiations, received another email with 20 percent off. This time, the discount appeared, but got a "this order cannot be processed" message. Not the first time something like this has happened to me with grubhub. They try to lure me in with a deal, then renege.

Lost and never found
January 9, 2024

First time using GrubHub driver picked up my food and delivered it to an unknown location took a picture sent it to me said delivery complete
Hopefully someone is enjoying the lunch I purchased otherwise in the next one or two days it's going to get really fishy in that room.
Won't be using GrubHub anymore moving to doordash

I live in garden apartments that have the numbers clearly marked on the doors. Drivers just leave the food at any door. They don't mater the full address. The people who live closer to the street get orders nor theirs. This happens too often.

I ordered Ice Cream from Mc Donald's. I understand there's other orders that the driver picked up and might get delivered before my order. I followed my driver and I watched as he approached a street two streets away from mine, thinking he might be delivering to another family. 15 mins go by I don't see him move. So I texted my drive and asked what was his eta because I ordered ice cream. The driver never responded, but started driving again in a different direction further from my street and turned around went back to the same street he was on before and sat there again. After waiting another 10mins I became very annoyed because it's been over 25 mins and this person had my order which was ICE Cream. I was in touch with Grubhub customer service and I just flat out asked for my money back because I didn't want ice cream that was sitting in someone car for more than 30mins and half the time these drivers are more concerned with getting high and not getting the delivery on time. This is my 2nd lesson learned with this app so I'm done with ordering food with them.

DO NOT USE GRUBHUB

I placed an order for Papa John on Grubhub. It was about $133 and after I placed the order I realized I forgot sauces! So I went back and it said edit order so I added the sauces and submitted the order again. It showed up as 2 different orders instead of adding to the previous one.
I called Papa John's about it and the guy said I was just about to call you and I explained what happened, I said do I need to cancel it or anything and he says no your good.
Then awhile later the driver called confused over the situation, and I explained to him and he seemed unsure what to do but just got the one order like I said.
Now we seen the authorization for the 2 amounts and I thought the one we didn't get would fall off. But nope we were charged.
So I get ahold of grubhub and chatted with someone who said to bad it's been over 48 hours since the order so they can't do anything. I said I need a manger bc I'm not being charged for something I didn't get.
The manger basicly said the same thing and I told them they are thieves and stealing.
She eventually offered me a credit to grubhub for $133 and I said no I will never used this service again.
Terrible customer service, its copy paste responses. And didn't care that they stole our money. I mean at the end of the day we got charged about 270 bucks for 3 stuffed crusted pizza and some dipping sauces from Papa John's.
I would not trust this company with any of your personal information. If you get double charged they won't do anything but keep the money.
A disgusting company!
I wonder how many people they do this too!

We placed our order with Grub Hub for Red Lobster. We were charged almost 100$, only to have our order canceled after we waited for 20 minutes. So, thank you Grub Hub and Red Lobster. Now we have to wait 4 or 5 days for our refund... and it's now it's almost 11pm, and we are still waiting for a different order to be delivered. What did we learn? Don't use Grub Hub or Red Lobster

I placed an order which NEVER got delivered and got sent to the WRONG apt. Then the 2nd order was the WRONG ORDER. When I called the representative told me that he could only do a refund….now it's been 2 hours with NO food. I'm hungry and I'm pissed. If i could give this 0 stars I would.

I ordered a meal and with that meal I ordered a few different sauces. The meal without the sauces in my opinion, I would not order. I especially would not pay extra to get that order through GrubHub and knock at the sauces that I explicitly ordered. Needless to say I ordered something did not get the sauces, I sent in a complaint, GrubHub said they would refund the sauces valued at 0.00 cents. I then said I would not have ordered it if I realized I would not have gotten the sauces much less paid extra. They then said they are sorry I'm upset and they encourage me to review my experience before the chat is closed and then immediately closed the chat so that I cannot review it. Awesome. You can tell they DEFINITELY care about the customer experience.

THE WORST COMPANY
January 4, 2024

Run away from Grubhub. These idiots should be shut down and put out of business. They deliver late on 90% of all my orders. Food is nasty and cold. Delivery drivers can't follow simple directions. I don't care if this membership is part of my Walmart Plus free promotion. It's not worth the aggravation.
My advice...try alternate delivery apps like Doordash or pick up your own food at the restaurant. Trust me, you will thank me later.

Four hours late
January 3, 2024

They delivered our order four hours late on New Years Eve and I had nothing to feed my guests. They promised if it weren't delivered by 7:30pm, they wouldn't charge me. It was delivered at 9pm and they still charged me in full and refused to refund me when I called. Horrendous customer service and worse follow up. I'll be using Uber eats from now on.

Terrible

Always late, food cold, ridiculous pricing. I've ordered 12 times and order was never delivered when they first said it would be. Food was usually cold but never more than luke warm.

Every time I've used it so I've used it a total of three times each time my either my order was canceled I was missing an item or they just never showed up absolutely would not use GrubHub.

We have had bad luck with delivery times and then subsequent charges from hackers because Grub Hub either does not secure their site, or some of their drivers are not honest. On one occasion, they promised a certain dollar amount of refund, then refunded less than what they indicated. Will not use them again.

I just ordered from wa wa thru gruhub.So when I go to chose pick up or delivery.It automatically said I have to pick it up.After they took my money.I can't pick it up I don't own a car.And that was my last money.They just took my hard earn money. I will tell family friends a co -workers to never use this company

Grubhub is terrible.

I ordered food from two different locations. Once was cancelled last minute. Second time it was delayed & items were never delivered. Driver submitted a picture on what it looked like it was a sidewalk in the middle of Mordor. There's no rating system on their drivers for a reason. They refunded me the whole amount, nonetheless the company's culture & commitment to bring quality service reflects on the professionalism & dedication from their drivers. I'm cancelling my membership with them.

Every single order. Late, driver can't find my house, doesn't follow instructions to find my house and uses inaccurate map. Shouldn't have a service fee if you have to tip
The driver. Many drivers are careless and have no work ethic. On rare occasions the people that deliver the food deserve a tip.

GRUBHUB CUSTOMER SERVICE, CONSUMERS BEWARE!
YOU CAN'T CANCEL GRUBHUB LIKE YOU USED TO IN THE BEGINNING.
THEY DO EVERYTHING BY EMAIL, NO ONE RESPONDS, WHEN YOU CALL THEM THEY ARE NO HELP, AFTER I CANCELLED THEM, 3 MONTHS LATER THEY SNEAK BACK AND CHARGE ME
NOW THEY CLAIM THEY DID NOT CHARGE ME AND MY BACK SAYS IT'S THE SAME MERCHANT ID AS BEFORE, WATCH YOU BANK STATEMENTS, BESIDES THEY CHARGE YOU MORE THAN RESTAURANT I RESEARCHED IT, A RIP OFF PLAN AND SIMPLE WHICH IS WHY I CANCELLED IN THE FIRST PLACE, ON ARTISTS, I HAD TO CANCEL MY CARD TO AVOID FUTURE CHARGES, I WILL BE POSTING THIS ON EVERY SOCIAL MEDIA I CAN

I used Grubhub three times. Each time I provide detailed directions to my home. All three times, they delivered my food to homes in a development a mile away from mine. To make matters worse, they tortured me by providing pictures of my food waiting at the door of my neighbor's house while I was starving. I never have this problem with any other delivery services. I won't have it again with Grubhub. It will be a cold day in Hades before I ever use Grubhub again. Hello, Uber Eats!
