Be aware if you return a camera, they keep the sales tax and shipping regardless of the camera is defective or order is missing something, they also keep subscription money, no refunds, honestly they are a ripped off

They stole $4,000 from my bank account. I tried to order a $566 item. I clicked to complete the sale. The item remained in the Cart and there was no order number provided. However they charged my bank account 7 times for the order $3962, until it was empty. They do not show a phone number on their website. I searched the Internet for a phone for them and found two. They will not answer any of them. Now I can't buy groceries since I have no money in the bank and the charges are processing at my bank so they can't do anything about them until they stop processing.

LIARS GOPRO COMPANY!

On September I bought new GoPro camera 12 black its details Invoice Number CS-*******, Order Number: MP-*******, Invoice Date: 9/12/2023.

First time i made video I understud that there is something wrong with camera, and I contacted your support, I sent some videos and they told me there is a problem with camera and I need to send it back to change it. The employee I was speaking through live chat (case number *******) told me to send everything that was contained in the box, all accessories even sd card. When I told there was no sd card he told me ok send whatever there is.
I send everything. When I received the new camera there was not even battery so that I can't check if the camera is working, there was empty box.
I spoke with you another colleague, he said we can't send anything because in previous chat it was told to send only the camera.

I was sure that you are a good company, but it turned out that you are not.I think that you stole me. If according to invoicing I should have send you only the camera than you needed to tell me when you received the whole package, that I didn't need to send it.
Your colleague insisted that I need to put everything in the box. Unfortunately I don't have any copy of the chat. I will spread this information on social media and anywhere I can for people to be informed. I am a lawyer and will follow this case.

BAD- DO NOT BUY

After you buy the expensive camera, the service is bad. There is no refunds even after you return the product. Everything the website says about returns is a big fat lie. They have currently stolen my money even after I returned the camera in the same condition that they sent it to me in. I paid £379 for this. All this money went in the bin and I don't even have a camera to show for it. I would not recommend buying from a company like this.

I have shopped online with many online retailers and have not had this kind of problem. When I returned the product, my money was returned to me in 3-5 working days. It has now been 2 months and this company keeps lying they will refund my money and they have not and doesn't seem like they will.

BEWARE of GO PRO
February 4, 2021

I recently ordered the Hero 9, I received the handle bars without the camera via UPS. Since then I have constantly contacted customer service since 12/23 regarding the missing camera. I received the handlebars but no camera. I have been disregarded, shuffled and ignored. I am extremely frustrated/angry that I have paid my money and did not receive the camera. I have an open claim and have submitted all supporting information regarding the missing camera. Customer service has done nothing but give me the run around and unkept promises. I am out of $400 dollars.

I bought their top of the line products. Tried out an annual service plan. Didn't use it. They charged me the following two years on autobill...which I didn't notice. I tried to cancel the day they charged me this year but they refused to give me a refund. I guess I won't buy their over-priced devices ever again.

I've spent about $2000 on GoPro product this past month. I'm regretting most of it.

Simple features and logic are non-existent.

- Cannot connect a Bluetooth microphone to any of their cameras.
- Bought a Tripod mount kit. None of the 3 pieces actually work together. You need additional parts and accessories. The tripod itself doesn't use a tripod mount screw, while the camera attachments do.
- Their $100 Smart Remote doesn't work with Hero cameras above the Hero7. No reason it can't, they just seem to want to sell you a new remote - "The remote".
- Connectivity of cameras to the phone app "Quik" is unreliable, and slow at best.

That's just off the top of my head. Save yourself time, hassle and disappointment. Buy anything other than this junk. I think like everyone else, I bought it because of the name. Take my advice. Find another brand, even if it's some knockoff, it'll probably at least be on par.

Unbelievably horrible customer service, I was on the Plus customer service plan and even with this the support was useless. I spent a lot of money on my gorpro gear, only to now be sitting useless because customer service could help me, despite being on the special plan... really bad...

Return not refunded

Hello! I have returned my order (Order-ID MP-*******) with the return tracking ID 1Z97V*******541 and it has been over 2 weeks and I have not heard from you since. I'm desperately trying to contact you because neither your chat nor your callback function is working! I've already wrote to your e-mail listed in your Imprint but I have not received any reply. Please let me know what is going on otherwise I will have to open a case with PayPal and my bank. Thanks and I hope for a reply from you soon.

I called a month after buying my GoPro to cancel my annual subscription, a year later saw i was charged on my card statement to a card that's frozen call and customer service said they don't issue refunds i never used the subscription services and never will i don't even have a GoPro any more. Horrible customer service wouldn't recommend to anyone else ever GoPro has list a customer for life.

The equipment seems nice... but make sure to turn off the auto renew for the cloud storage and camera replacement subscription service. If it auto renews, there does not appear to be a way to get the $49.99 charge removed. It almost seems like a gotcha game to them and they seem to feel good when they gotcha.

I had some family medical issues where I ended up spending 40 plus hours per week being caregiver to my folks in addition to my life's other responsibilities. That started just after I received the camera so I have not used the service or equipment for nearly a year. I forgot to cancel the auto-renew with all going on and when I saw the $49.99 charge on my credit card statement, I called them and let them know what was going on and tried to cancel that service.

Their response was that it renewed and THEY DO NOT REFUND that service but auto renew was now turned off so I would not be billed for it next year. I explained my situation further but they stuck to their statement of no refunds [even though in the agreement it says they could reverse the charge if they wanted to]. It almost seemed like they enjoyed the fact that I forgot about it and they could charge me anyway.

TIP: make sure to turn off the auto renew for any services you opt into. That way you have a CHOICE to continue with the service when it comes time to renew.

I paid £10 extra for promised next day delivery, as I wanted it before a trip. Now I am told it will take 5 days. Useless! If you want one, get it through Amazon

TRASH CAMERA

This camera is trash. I was able to use it only once after the camera wouldn't turn on. So i've checked online and so much people having trouble with their products. The customer service is garbage just trying to save time and make the warranty expires. The list of supported country for exchange or refund is so little only Europe basically. I bought this camera in China, YES they sell in China but it is not a supported country! Now i am abroad and i have to pay 150 USD for less than 1 KG shipping in order to send it back and get an exchange camera, it is not covered because of my current location. You can ship only through UPS off course the most expensive shipping service in the world. DONT BUY GO PRO DONT LET THEIR MARKETING STRATEGY FOOL YOU

By far, GoPro has the WORST customer service I can honestly say that I have EVER experienced. They take, no steal, renewal fees for an account that has NEVER BEEN USED and refuse to give a refund OR the offer of transferring the 'unused' renewal to an account currently in use. Shocking, dreadful, unhelpful and money grabbing are just a few words i would use.
A word of warning to all... CANCEL your auto renewal before you lose it for ever or better still - cancel it forever.

They are the only competition therefore they offer 0 customer service, they do not have any options for support, customer support is non existent and unhelpful. The battery is basically fried in my go pro and it is only 18 months old. The battery has a ten year warranty, supposedly, but it is under their own discretion to provide you with another? Provided serial numbers etc and they still required the original receipt, which I did provide but they needed a detailed description of the receipt even though product is registered in my name and the receipt from Costco is not acceptable? What happens if it is a bday present, as in my case and from Costco? I did have the mindset to purchase a GoPro 10, but now with the service I have been given I will never buy one again. $26 dollars to provide me with a new battery and keep the customer happy instead they are penny pinching instead of keeping customer opinion high. I won't be buying the 10 now I will wait for the competition to catch up and I will never use GoPro again. Can you imagine if the camera had an issue? I would be out of pocket for around $400. Disgusting.

Ordered the Hero 9 and the camera was great, but had an issue returning and it was the worst experience of my life! Recently purchased the Hero 10 and they blocked my number so I cannot reach them via phone and their chat is like talking to an oblivious airhead! Your will get nowhere with their customer service and its sad because this is a well-known company charging a lot of money and you can never get anywhere with their customer service. Not the way a company should be ran. I am not even sure why they pay their customer service people-the company would save more by not having a customer service, since they do not do a damn thing anyway for their customers-they are an absolute waste of time and money! GoPro should be ashamed on their lack of customer support skills for such a highly prices items. If you are looking to purchase the item it is better to get it from a retail store as opposed to their own website-even if the cost is higher, because it will save you a lot of wasted time from dealing with incompetent people from their customer service if you have an issue. I would rate their overall guest service at a NEGATIVE 100 stars if I could-I am upset I had to select even 1 star.

I researched to find the best price for the Go-Pro Hero camera. I saw that Go-Pro's on-line site was having a special sale on their cameras if you purchased a subscription for their membership. I followed the links to receive the special pricing, only to realize after the transaction that I did not receive the pricing they had advertised. I immediately clicked on the support link and was told it was too late to cancel the order. I insisted on speaking with a supervisor. The supervisor indicated that he would try to reach the warehouse to call back the order. It has been 6 days--no camera and no credit to my charge card. I have made several attempts to get my money back. I contacted my credit card company to assist me in getting the funds returned. Buyer beware of this scam. Each person that I spoke with was 'overseas'. I cannot believe that companies such as this are allowed to operate by luring consumers with their false advertisements. I am going to register a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau. This truly is an outrage.

Think you have a Warranty Coverage for the NEW EXPENSIVE GoPro Camera - WITH FACTORY DEFECT - you just purchased from a National Photography (or ANY "BIG MAJOR REPUTABLE") Store?

Think AGAIN! DID YOU CHECK with GoPro "Store Locator" that this Camera Store - that you've purchased from for 40+ years - "IS A GoPro Authorized" Retailer?!?!?!?!?!

Oh? You Didn't? VERY FEW STORES ARE GoPro "Authorized" - YOU HAVE NO WARRANTY!

However obviously "Factory Defective" right out of the NEW SEALED BOX - YOU ARE SCREWED!

Very poor customer service experience. Rock bottom client care, I would say (comparing to other vendors). I have never received an email with the order confirmation, despite 4 conversations with Customer Service and my request to forward it to me. Mistakes in documents delayed dispatch from the warehouse by 4 days. Delivery is already late by 5 days, and I just received a call from the courier company regarding mistakes in documentation and duties/customs - unbelievable! Note, that I already covered all customs and fees when I paid GoPro for the purchase.
Customer service chat works only sporadically and disconnects, callbacks are delayed by days, and representatives, however well-intended, are completely ignorant about the matter. So the conversation is always starting from the beginning and goes circular. Promises are made, and not delivered. I demanded te refund of the express delivery charges, as this saga is no way the "express" experience. I will see if the refund arrives, and if it does not, I will dispute the fee through the PayPal dispute center. Do not buy GoPro online, they do not know what they are doing in the online world. Buy comfortably from your local retailer. If you ever need GoPro's customer service - you will be left in the darkness... As I am.
