When i bought my gopro i paid the 10 dollars to get access to the quik app. There was zero function to it so i called to upgrade to the 50 dollar subscription, they told me it was half off so it would be 25 dollars. They also told me the ten i paid previously would be applied to that so i would be out of pocket 15 dollars. They not only didnt do that they charged me the full 50 so im 60 out of pocket now. I called to straighten it out and their answer was "you didnt do it right and have to take it up with apple" this is not only faurd, but theft as i was charged 10 more than i should have been if i just went with the top subscription in the first place. They outsource everything to india so good luck holding them accountable. Theyre going bankrupt for many reasons but this is one of the biggest im certain. Save your money and time, gopro is a dying company. I gave one star because zero isnt an option.

In my eyes there is no goods just bads
Bad camera qaulity low light
Bad battery drain
Footage is blurry with hyper smooth
Footage very dull colours
Battery charges randomly then stops
Price is outrageous for a camera with small sensor
Don't waste your money on this junk
It's my first go pro ever and has just been returned
I used PayPal to pay
I did try going through gopro to return it but they was taking 25% off what I've paid to be returned so I went through PayPal
Honestly the way phones are moving so fast these go pros won't be worth nothing in a few more years
A dji mini 2 has better Footage than this and that's saying something

They do not try to help you nor think about the fact every single customer is important.
I asked to cancel a subscription that was automatically renewed, there was absolutely no will to help - differently from any other Saas service, where they are very understanding and willing to cancel a subscription and refund your money if renewed by mistake. IT'S A SCUM, THEY ARE THIEFS, SHAME ON YOU!

I bought this camera for my brother. He started raising bees and wanted to video his progress.
Well, he has yet to figure out how to use the camera. Not one picture taken.
There is a subscription that comes with it auto renews.
This is how that works. If you cancel the subscription so it doesn't auto renew, you also cant use it. The first year is free. But if you want to try it out but not auto renew for the next year you have to wait to just before it auto renews to cancel it. If you miss that date, you just paid for another year. There is no way to stop auto renew and use the subscription that you paid for. Also, if you miss the date, by even 1 day, they will not refund the money. Their customer service just recites the terms and condition.
So needless to say, i just paid for another year of something i have never used and can't even try to use because i had to cancel it to get out of the auto renew hell hole they have created. What a deceptive creepy way to collect $55. I will not ever buy one of these cameras as a gift again. And stupid go pro, it's the 2nd time i bought it as a gift & i have many more family members i was going to buy it for… your business tactics just lost you a bunch of sales.

Copy of my complaint: "Hello, I've ordered a GoPro HERO3+ Black Edition on your web store on 11. 3. 13. My credit card was charged for $399 and I received the message that my order would be shipped soon. From that moment nobody from your customer service contacted me first and explained why my order was not shipped. After I sent 3-4 tickets to your support center I received either no explanation why my order is not shipped, but they recommend me to contact your financial department by phone only. OK. I called to your support center and had a conversation with Ian. He said that he needed a confirmation of billing adress, shipping adress, credit card info. I confirmed all of this info. He said that everything is OK and my order would be shipped on Friday or Monday. My item is not shipped yet, nobody contacted me first (as usual), a new anwer of your support center: "It appears your order has been cancelled. I would recommend purchasing through one of our retailers." You charged my money and wasted my time. I've spent a week contacting your customer service and the only thing I received is cancelled order. Do you have such attitude to all of your customers? Don't you think that some actions should be applied?" Nobody answered on it.

Ordered the hero 8 last year, camera works fine. But I also signed up for the £49.99 annual subscription. Upon finalising payment the confirmation screen did not appear and the page reloaded blank. So I tried again, then it worked. It seems that with my auto-fill on my device that the first subscription was with googlemail.com and the second with hotmail.com. Thus shouldn't matter as the first attempt was unsuccessful. But I then noticed that my credit card had been charged twice. So I contacted Gopro to resolve this as it was their fault with an error in the final page. They refunded my 49.99 as a "goodwill gesture".
Thinking all was resolved I carried on with my year and knowing full well I have the benefit of my one subscription connected with my one device that I have bought.
But noo, upon renewal two payment came out of my account again one connected with my device and the one I wanted canceled that is connected to zero devices. Its obvious that I wouldn't want 2 subscriptions when I only have one device.
So I contacted Gopro again to resolve this matter which they responded "We regret to inform you that you are not eligible for refund. The subscription is supposed to be cancelled before the renewal date".

Don't waste your time. Gopro have now lost a customer due to there negligence.

I purchased over 2k worth of goods in one month. They shipped me half of my items and i tried to reach out same day as I am very busy. I tried the chat several times and no one was there to andswer so i scheduled a call back as these are the only two ways that you can get help and no one called em back even though i tried three times. Finally the next day at work i was able to get someone on chat who told me to send a picture of the box... at this point the box had been thrown away. She said ok and to send picture of the products i recieved. I did this and they respond saying i need a picture of the box and shipping label. I told them again i do not have the box and they requested just the shipping label... in what world does that make sense! The shipping abel is attached to the box. They called me a liar and refused to refund or send the missing items. I tried to escalate the situation and got the same result. So DO NOT purchase from here because if they send you have your order they basically say too bad we are keeping your money.

I bought a go pro hero 7 2 years ago, the camera it self always had to be reset, because the screen kept on going black so at certain moments I couldn't get it to work. The software used to download the photos and videos wasn't that bad, and I liked the multiple options it allowed me to use for editing. Their cameras aren't bad quality, but their customer service has been really negligent. I have tried to buy for the past 2 weeks a newer gopro on their web page, but something seems to be not working. Their message was that I needed to review the information provided and then if that is correct call customer service which by the way is only on working on hours from 9 to 5 pm (LA time) from Monday to Friday. They don't have a customer support 24 hour service or chat. When I finally got to speak with a representative, she didn't find a solution for my non autorized purchase and said that the sells team will get back to me... that took around 24 hours and their statement for not aproving my purchase, was that there was no matching information with my billing address. Therefore, I called my bank verified that the bank had my correct information that I was typing in. I called once more, they couldn't find an answer of why it's not working. I decided to purchase then another brand that offers the same but has a much reliable customer service and its also 100$ cheaper, great quality and software. I am so glad I did not buy another gopro, their company might be known a round the world, but their customer support is very lame.

Gopro Hero 11 Black is not waterproof and Gopro refuses warranty service!

First use of the camera was on vacation September 2023. During the first snorkeling immediately water has penetrated the camera and has destroyed the camera. Of course, the housing was sealed. After the vacation, I was even able to recover the incomplete underwater video from the SD card.
This proves the camera started up to the point of destruction due to water intrusion.

Unfortunately, communication with support is more than troublesome, as direct mail contact is not possible. You can only open a case in the customer portal and communicate by phone or chat and have to wait for GoPro to call back.

Here is the history of what happened:
11/21/2022 purchase of the Gopro Hero 11 Black directly in the GoPro store.

09/12/2023 First use vacation September 2023.

09/28/2023 Portal contact, my letter:
During the first underwater use, water has penetrated the camera.
The front display contains a water bubble.
The camera no longer works and must be repaired.

One receives a case number...
-
This was followed by the transmission of images...

09/29/2023 Response from GoPro:
I apologize for the delay in responding to your case.

I would like to inform you that based on the information and photos you provided, GoPro has determined that this is not a warranty issue.

We can exchange the camera for a fee.
The fee is 99€ + VAT. We will exchange the camera for the same model you have.
The fee is only possible by credit card.

10/1/2023 My response:
I can not understand why this is not a warranty case:

There is no external damage you can see on the pictures, which confirms my proper handling of the camera.
Water has penetrated the camera, although the diving depth was not exceeded.
Only on the basis of pictures, this can not be verified, so no warranty can be excluded.

I ask you to check the camera.

Since then I receive no response from GoPro, only silence.

Not even after a repetition of the message from 10/01/2023 and some more, my last contact attempt was on 10/24/2023.

This is the very sad reaction balance from a supposed market leader. I did not get the opportunity to send in the camera.
Although the camera is still in warranty, it is simply excluded without a technician ever having the defective camera in hand.
I just warn, never buy from GoPro Shop

I tried to make an order on go pro website. Mind you - making an order... not filing a complaint - and yet I could not get anyone to help me after 2 frustrating weeks of trying to make an order online and it keeps giving me an error saying ". We're sorry that your order could not be placed. This probably happened due to a high order volume or temporary connection errors. Please wait a few minutes and resubmit your order. We won't process your payment until you successfully place your order. If you have further questions, please contact us.".! And this error comes up for anything you order - not just the "hot" items! Well, after multiple contacts with them, they say they have elevated my problem but when i asked how do they plan to resolve it or what is the next step after escalation? Will someone be reaching out to me to help me resolve this problem? The response was... "keep trying to resubmit the order"... is that crazy or what? Why would I want to keep trying to submit an order that keeps giving me an error (that's like beating your head against a wall! Am I crazy? Hell NO!) Ultimately, there are no next steps! They don't know how to resolve your problem! What's the point of escalation if you can't resolve the actual issue? What the heck? What kind of customer service is that? How hard is it to order something from their webpage? It's just horrible the way they handled things... it's a wonder why Amazon is the number 1 online platform! B/C they deliver...! I haven't used Go pro products yet but the first experience with trying to order something on their website already leaves a very bad taste in my mouth!

GoPro refused to refund an auto-subscription renewal that I had unknowingly purchased as part of a bundle. Due to illness in the family, I have not even used the items that I purchased in the bundle. If I could return it for a refund I would. GoPro is nothing more than a part of a corporate universe that insists on fleecing people to the tune of $49.99 per year for a subscription that is absolutely useless! They tack it onto a bundle and leave unsuspecting buyers believing that they are getting some kind of a deal when in fact they are being conned by the unethical and immoral practice of swindling their customers. Never again will I purchase a GoPro product. Not even an advance email to warn customers of an impending auto renewal to give those who want, an opportunity to cancel and save $49.99. I have never used the subscription, never will, and intend on doing everything in my power to post this on every site possible to warn others of this unscrupulous business practice of GoPro. This company should be ashamed of using other peoples hard earned money to advance their profits by fleecing others during a pandemic. Instead of stepping up and being of service to people, their business model is one of pure greed and thievery. I encourage others to post this wherever you can to disrupt the business of GoPro until they change their business model. Let's join together to disrupt and financially affect the future for GoPro. I intend on filing a complaint against this company with my states Attorney General in order to stop GoPro from this illegal practice and impose fines as well as to make restitution for those affected by this process. I hope others will do the same and convict this company of its wrongdoing. At $49.99 per person, they have made a ton of money off the backs of would be enthusiasts who purchase their already overpriced products. Let's put an end to these practices once and for all! In the screenshot below, it clearly states 1 year subscription. It states nothing about an auto-renewal!
