I am wondering if free shipping.com is a legit site and wont rip me off? Anyone use them? Could you tell me your experience if you have used them? Give me some advice please? Thank you in advance!
Got my moneys worth it!
The $12.98 monthly subscription charge is a joke to what they offer. Read read read do not judge the book by its cover read some pages!
Thanks for the feedback, Ben! As I have said as well, if you shop online often, our membership is certainly for you!
Got hooked up somehow from something I bought online. Charging a monthly fee is not FREE. Amazon prime is the same but at least you know you are buying from Amazon

My elderly mother received the FIRST email EVER from this company yesterday stating they were about to raise their fees (to $19/mo.). I have vetted her incoming emails like a hawk w/out fail, daily—for potential scams—for several years. This company clearly wants to stay under the radar knowing they are duping people who never knew they signed up! We have discovered they have been charging her monthly for THREE YEARS. She never used any alleged "membership." The CS rep stated: "Oh, it must have been a pop-up ad you once clicked." They cancelled "membership" and agreed only to refund 4 mos. (Obviously b/c that's only how much the VISA will agree to credit.) As far as I am concerned THIS IS tantamount to A SCAM preying especially on elderly cc holders. The line item "FreeShipping.com" is easily confused for Amazon Prime's (or other retailers) free shipping. The VISA co is complicit in permitting their cardholder statements to reflect this costly ambiguity and confusion. Do you want to know what else the FreeShipping.com rep said to my mom? "We're trying to get our name changed in the future to avoid any confusion." Sure you are, at boardroom level I bet; what a load of BS! #FRAUDSTERS.
UPDATE: As of my mother's cc statement rec'd today (Aug. 28), it shows a CREDIT for ALL contested $13/mo. Fees including the original $2.
In conclusion, I reiterate that FreeShipping(.)com together with the partner shopping sites and credit card companies must work to avoid these ambiguous, confusing, and costly (incl. Time) opt in/out memberships & fees for all online shoppers.
My bank Manager. Spotted it yesterday and asked me what it was. I totally had no idea who they were or what the charges of $17.94 a month since December were for. I called freeshipping.com and the lady I spoke to was very nice and explained this was a service I signed up for and I said "with whom" to which she said "oh we don't know that". I asked her who they were sending my money to and again she said she didn't know but very quickly said she'd stop all further charges and if I had Visa call them they would refund my money. In reading another review, I'm thinking maybe it was Amazon, which is a whole other story. If this is happening to you, first call your credit card company, loss prevention department, explain the situation and tell them you want a new card and ask them to please call freeshipping.com *******185, and request (demand) a total refund on to your card. ONLY your credit card company can request the refund. There are far too many scams out there for online shopping and they're hoping you won't see these cbarges. I will be very cautious from now on when shopping online.
Hi Sharon,
Sorry for any confusion regarding this refund. Please reach out to me directly at Help@Freeshipping.com and I will be happy to assist you.

Being charged $12.97 monthly. I have never used or requested their service. Upon calling they have no record of my name, address or email address. They say someone else must have made the contact

I was offered a free 30 day trial in August 2014. I used my membership for shipping rebates. I cancelled the trial membership and was not charged. A month later I was offered another trial membership after a Sears.com purchase. I accepted. Before submitting claims or making purchases, I emailed and phoned shipping.com to find out whether I was eligible for another 30 day trial membership. The person on the phone said that if I was offered the membership, I was entitled. It would be considered a new membership with 12 shipping rebate claims allowed per website regardless whether I made shipping claims under the previous membership. The shipping.com email also indicated that I was eligible for claims. I emailed a couple days ago to find out why I had not been paid my claims yet. They said I was not eligible. In no way in their correspondence have they been clear why. Nothing on the website or in the free trial offer indicates a person cannot cancel and sign up for a new membership. The only restrictions are per membership year. Their correspondence regarding the issue has been borderline nasty.
Hi Curtis, please feel free to directly email me at arand@freehipping.com regarding this matter. Our terms do say that there is only one membership allowed per household, not per year, and it looks like you may have opened and closed a number of accounts over the last few years. I cannot of course be sure I am looking at the correct accounts since I only have your first name and last name initial, so please contact me and I will see if I can straighten this out for you or give you a better explanation of why your claims were denied.
They sent me an email to make me believe that I was getting a shipping rebate, and I ended up getting charged $12.97. Stay away from this site! I am extremely unhappy with this.
Hi Margaret,
We're so sorry to hear you feel this way. When a user receives a free shipping offer on their purchase, they can then sign up with us and submit a claim for a shipping rebate. Members are welcome to cancel their account at any time during their free trial, and they will still receive a check for the rebate within 3-6 weeks. If a trial member chooses to stay on board with us and continue using our savings benefits past the trial period, he or she is subject to the $12.97 monthly membership fee. These details are stated on the sign up page, in our terms of use and in the welcome email each new member receives upon signing up with us.
If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact help@freeshipping.com or call our customer service line. Thank you!
Sincerely,
The FreeShipping.com Team

Stay away from freeshipping.com … it is not worth the pain caused. They continued to charge me after I canceled the service and all I got from customer service was their version of "too bad"!
I had no idea who they are until they removed $13.00 from account. Never heard of Freeshipping.com. I didn't sign up for anything. A totally out of the blue charge. I just got SCAMED.
Hi Kenneth, we apologize for any confusion regarding the membership fee. Please reach out directly at Help@FreeShipping.com, we will be happy to help.
Never order from Amazon again. I was charged $12.97 for the service I did not order. This is absolutely a ripoff. I paid the cancelation fee to stop the $12.97. It was $37.00. I had heard from friends about this, but I was okay with Amazon until this episode. I will never use them again. Xxx xxx xxx x x x x x x x x xxx x xx x x xxx x x x

I don't recall signing up for this website. I don't order online but have been, unknowingly, charged $12.96 for months. How do I cancel and get a refund? Very displeased.
Hi Krystal,
I would be more than happy to help you. I can't locate your account using the information given above, is there anyway you can reach out to me directly at Help@FreeShipping.com?
Thanks!
This website is not for Snow Flakes or just flakes---this site is for people who do a significant amount of business on the internet, can read and understand how the process works and do not need their mommy to hold their hand. Thus --- no SNOW FLACKS. There is a monthly fee to have access to the system. If you do little or no internet purchasing then this is not for you. On every purchase you get from 10% to 20% of the purchase price back. So if you do not average $130 a month in purchases or save 1 shipping cost per month do not subscribe. You also get up to $10 back in shipping charges 12 times a year for each of the about 1000 stores associated with Freeshipping.com. If you do not order enough to cover the cost of about $13 per month from 10% back and 10$ for each shipping then this is not for you. We buy all our household goods possible from Walmart. That alone covers all our cost for the year and more plus the products are delivered to my door for free. Not going to a Walmart store is a major perk for me. All the rest we buy is pure profit. For me several hundreds to well over a $1000 a year is standard. I have used this for years. The biggest source of new income for most people is to not spend what they already make. Freeshipping.com will save a great deal but, YOU MUST BE AN INTERNET BUYER. There are several other benefits that will also add to the savings but these two are the best. I expect all the cry babies you read on Sitejabber never even understood how profitable Freeshipping.com is or even how it works. They are probably to busy looking for a safe space.
Hi David,
Thanks so much for sharing your positive words about FreeShipping.com! We appreciate the kind review and the clarification you've provided for other viewers!

If you do a lot of online shopping from a very limited amount of stores then perhaps this would be a great thing for you, however, if you did not break out the microscope before signing up then It is understandable that many call this company a scam. True is the review that states silly people signing up without reading everuthing, at the same time, I looked & looked again for any mention of a recurring fee and did not see that anywhere on the website that I signed up on or I never would have agreed to such a membership. I do not ever ever ever allow any company for any reason to automatically charge me for anything on a monthly basis. So I feel like I was pretty careful to check for that. That does not mean it is not listed somewhere but the way this deal is presented and the way they marketed is very deceitful. The company may not be a scam but the way they recruit you and dip into your credit card every month (which I'm sure many are not even aware of) is wrong. If they were more forthcoming they would probably have more happy members that are willing to agree to the terms of their membership instead of everyone complaining and feeling like they are being rubbed
Hi Cristina,
Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry you feel that way! I'd love to help explain where the recurring fee is displayed to users upon signing up. The details of the 7-day free trial and the $12.97 membership fee are located on the sign up page directly above where users enter their credit card information, and you must agree to our Terms of Use before successfully registering as a member. The details regarding the membership fee and trial period are also reiterated in the welcome email sent out to all new users after signing up with us.
If you have any further concerns or questions about our site, please feel free to contact us at customerservice@freeshipping.com for assistance. Thank you!

I wrote a scathing review (1 star) because of our experience with freeshipping.com.
I managed to find the right person in freeshipping.com who handled our case. My request for a full refund of 5 months of charges was satisfied by Mike Procaccini (Samantha was also involved), and I have verified that all the requested refunds HAVE been credited to our credit card.
Therefore, I declare publicly, that freeshipping.com DOES care about their customers' concerns and WILL make it right when given a satisfactory explanation and the chance to take remedial action.
The message here is: freeshipping.com has the required integrity to provide their customers with confidence. IF you sign up for their service, be sure you know what you are doing, be aware that there are MANY satisfied members and if you fit into the profile of frequent internet buyers, this might be a good service to subscribe to. Make sure you can justify the monthly charge.
I am officially notifying the world that they HAVE SATISFIED my concerns. Thanks Mike and Samantha.
Hi Curtis,

I was checking my checking account, which I don't keep seriously close tabs on (yeah, I know). I skim through casually occasionally and haven't noticed anything dubious in the past. Today, I was checking and noticed a $12.97 fee from FreeChecking.com went through on the first, which only caught my eye because I had made an iTunes membership purchase and was looking for that to know specifically what day it would be debited each month. I have never even heard of freeshipping.com, but they have been charging my account every month for a while upon further research. I called the phone number associated with the transaction on my account and told them the situation - I have never heard of them, have no idea why they are charging me money monthly, and would like to end whatever membership they have associated with my debit card. They didn't even acknowledge the part where I said I NEVER signed up with them. They had my e-mail and said they'd send me a cancellation notice. I checked my e-mail and searched for anything from them in the past and there is NOTHING. There is no e-mail confirming a membership to begin with, no receipts, nothing, just my first ever e-mail from them telling me they are cancelling my account. I called my bank and will have to go in to get a new debit card, as they recommended, and file a dispute in hopes of getting the funds back. What a mess. I am at least thankful that because of them, I will now be checking my account transactions more diligently.
Hi Jennifer,
We're sorry to hear about the confusion regarding a membership with us. I'd love to explain how our service works and reiterate the terms you agreed to at sign up. Please keep in mind that we obtain all of our member information through what is voluntarily given to us at sign up, and we only bill those who decide to stay on board past their free trial period.
We are a subscription-based online shopping site that offers members 10% cash back, free shipping, free returns, exclusive coupons, price protection and price comparison at over 1,000 popular online retailers. At sign up, we offer new users a 7-day free trial and the chance to claim their introductory cash back bonus. Directly above where users enter their credit card information, the details of the trial state that if you choose to extend your membership past your trial period, you will be subject to the $12.97 monthly membership fee. If users decide our service is not for them, they must cancel their membership before the end of their trial period to avoid the monthly charge. These details are also stated in our terms of use, which must be agreed to at sign up, and in the welcome email each new member receives after completing the sign up process.

As most of the people before me, I was also charged $12.97 without giving them authorization to do so. Customer service has said they will issue a refund and were most kind, BUT, and I mean a big BUT, the representative said I signed up with my email address which she quoted, AND THEN SHE QUOTED MY PASSWORD! How is it that she knew my password?
Hi Maryann,
We're sorry to hear about the confusion regarding our membership, but we're happy to hear you were able to cancel your account and receive a refund. We keep all of our member information in a highly secure system on the internet, with a limited number of customer service representations who have access. This information is kept safe and private in our system so we can look up member accounts and assist each customer accordingly. The passwords are kept on file in case a member forgets their password and needs to create a new one. I hope you find this information helpful! If you have any other questions, feel free to contact help@freeshipping.com for further assistance. Thank you!
Sincerely,
The FreeShipping.com Team
I don't know how they get my information. I bought a bunch of flowers from some other website, and I end up with 11 months of charge for $12.97 for a membership fee? This is totally a fraud website!
Hi Mingyuan,
I would be more than happy to issue you a refund for those charges. Please contact me directly at Help@FreeShipping.com and please reference Customer Loyalty #D31.

Answer: Their advertising is a little sneaky I give you that. But that's your fault, just like out on the city streets, a fool and their money is soon parted.
Answer: Hi Christina, unfortunately I can't locate your account using the information here. Can you please reach out to me directly at Help@FreeShipping.com?
Answer: What's so dishonest about it? I am a regular subscriber and can easily recover my subscription fee many times over.
Answer: I did, but only after threatening to report them to the Attorney General in my state. They rely on the fact that few people will make a fuss.
Answer: You have to buy items from a website…anything from eBay to BATH & BODY WORKS, OVERSTOCK…many others. Go to "freeshipping.com" then delete the site from which you plan to buy-it will direct you to that site. (I always take screenshots of final receipts to add to my freeshipping.com submission), Afterwards you need to enter the purchase date-total cost and shipping cost…then a code is given. I have timed myself-the submission takes 35 secs if you are fluid on the computer. Have been a member for over 5 years and saved hundred$$! Trustworthy site-w/discounts as well as freeshipping (up to $10/order). $500 max shipping refunds per year…no limit on 10-20% off discounts!
Answer: Hello, Any cash back you earn as a member is yours to keep even if you choose to cancel. Thanks!
Answer: Hello - No problem, I have sent confirmation of this to your email.
Answer: Hi Carla, Please reach out to me directly at Help@Freeshipping.com. I will be happy to issue a refund for the membership fee. Thanks! Samantha Customer Support Supervisor
